Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Sovereign of Souls Enjoy the 1000-word chapter. I don't own Gunvolt, Inti Creates and a few others do.

Elise typed away at the computer before looking at the Adept which sat in the tank.

Unlike her? Their armor was pure white with blueish lights around it. The figure's head was incased in a hooded helmet which had various wires connected to it.

"Adept 26LU… This is 'Lucas'." The computer stated which made Elise rub at her jaw before it continued.

"Adept 26 has showed promise with the Septima." The computer put in. "Combat skills match 25EL or 'Elise'. Further tests must be conducted to confirm." The computer added which made Elise roll her eyes.

"An Adept as strong as ME?!" Elise questioned with a roll of her eyes. "Bah, that's so damn stupid." Elise muttered and cracked her neck.

"Everything here is MINE to play with." Elise stated before tapping a key to release the subject.

If there was any alarms, bells or whistles? Nothing occurred which didn't shock Elise. She had trashed the entire facility. Elise watched as the pod started to hiss open.

Elise grew annoyed and growled in frustration. She dug her sleeve covered arms into the metal and yanked as hard as possible.

The metal creaked before it was ripped off it's hinges which Elise chucked to the side.

The adept's tubes detached form his armor with a hiss as he collapsed to the ground.

"Up…. Get up." Elise hissed with a smile while the adept slowly grunted in pain. "Get…. UP." Elise growled out as the adept slowly climbed up his feet.

His snow-white armor conflicted with her jet-black armor. His helmet looked very aerodynamic for an adept which made her wonder if he had flight or such. He slowly climbed to his feet, looking at Elise with interest as he looked around the room and hummed.

"Where am I?" Lucas questioned as he looked around the room with interest as he cracked his neck.

He looked to the side. Elise sighed and rubbed at her temples. She was interested in the Adept.

'But he's lost, we shouldn't keep him around.' Elise's voice stated which was ignored by the dominant personality.

'He's MY toy.' Elise thought to herself and growled. 'I'm queen of the damn dead! Everything in this place belongs to ME.' Elise hissed to herself with anger.

Elise hummed and watched as Lucas looked around the room with interest. His eyes narrowed and closed as he looked around. Elise blinked as the Adept slowly hummed and stood up.

"Where am I?" Lucas questioned as he slowly climbed to his feet and blinked. "My files are totally damaged." Lucas stated and sighed.

"Quiet!" Elise hissed as her armor's tail swished back and forth behind her. "You belong to me, as does this entire base!" Elise put in as crossed her arms.

Lucas simply looked at her before his armor fully booted up. Elise blinked as holographic looking wings sprouted from Luca's armor.

"Where am I?" Lucas questioned one more as he slowly walked around the platform.

He blinked as he looked around the platform with interest. Elise glowered in annoyance, but said nothing.

'This fool is annoying.' Elise said as her other personality spoke up.

'He's tortured like us.' Elise's other personality put in as she sighed. 'What do you plan to do? Torture him until he bows to us? Like people tortured us?" Elise added which made her personality sigh.

Lucas leapt down from the platform, spreading his wings as he circled around the platform. Elise wondered what his glaive did as she could sense he possessed one.

"I don't remember this place." Lucas put in as he hummed and floated closer to the platform. "Who are you, anyway? And why are we surrounded by bodies…" Lucas asked before landing on the platform.

'Is he using his glaive right now?' Elise asked herself before Lucas tilted his head to the side with interest.

"Because I killed them…" Elise said and pointed a finger at Lucas. "They experiment on adepts like us. There's no future for us unless we're under their boot." Elise put in which caused the armored warrior to look around the room with interest.

"You killed everyone here?" Lucas asked as he landed and narrowed his eyes at her. "Why? There has to be people who didn't deserve to die in the first place… You had no right to kill them for no reason." Lucas put in while crossing his arms.

"Don't judge me for something I did for GOOD reason!" Elise put in and watched Lucas roll his eyes. "If I didn't kill them? They would have purged the entire lab. People don't care about adepts. Why do you think they stuck you in that tube?" Elise questioned as Lucas rolled his eyes once more.

"Do you seriously intend for me to just believe you?" Lucas questioned as he sighed. "Don't make me fight you?" Lucas asked while he clenched his fists.

Lucas hummed before he knew for a fact that he was going to end up fighting the enemy in front of him at the moment.

Elise glared and looked at Lucas.

"Don't do something stupid." Elise put in while Lucas clenched his fists. "Do you want to die?" Elise questioned while Lucas hummed and blinked.

Elise growled and unfurled her sleeves before facing Lucas who sighed at this. The duo looked ready for a fight.

"No." Lucas put in as he prepared to fight. "But I will fight you if I have to." Lucas stated as the two adepts prepared to battle.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Lucas is 17 and his powers are designed to contrast and counter Elise's to show their differences. Next chapter will be 2-10 weeks and will show Lucas and Elise battling and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
