Jacob PoV
Jake, I've found her!
Seth's voice boomed in my head so loud I cringed. He barked a few times to let us know his location. It was deeper in the woods, way too deep and I wondered how she had come there.
It's bad
The young wolf shot a quick image of Bella, lying on the ground, her arms wrapped around her thin body. She had her eyes closed and when Seth quietly walked closer and nudged her with his nose she didn't stir.
I was at his side in seconds, phasing in full run. I didn't even bother to button up my shorts when I ran to her side, kneeling down, pulling her cold body close to me. I lowered my head and almost wept in relief when I heard her breathing. It was weak but it was there. I checked her pulse, and it was also low but steady.
Seth was standing beside me in his wolf form, unsure what to do. From the woods I heard Embry and Leah emerging, both in human form. "Is she alright?" Embry asked the minute he came up, kneeling at my side.
"I don't know. She is breathing but her body is way too cold and she won't wake up." My voice shook. I stood up and gathered her up in my arms. "She needs to go to the hospital." Embry nodded. "I'll go with you." Then he turned to Seth and Leah. "You should probably go help Sam and the others. We'll bring her to the hospital and keep you updated."
Seth barked and Leah nodded before she phased again. Before they left, I shot a quick look at Seth, managing a small smile. "Thank you."
The young wolf grinned and dashed away, followed closely by his sister.
