Sins of Blairwood-2
"This should be enough money for you to buy pizza for all three of you." Sam said, handing the babysitter some cash.
"We can't thank you enough for watching over Erma, and Senshi while he's over tonight Felicia." Emiko said.
"It's no trouble at all. You two look like you could use a break. But why is Senshi here anyways?" Felicia, the babysitter for the evening, asked.
"His mom goes overseas sometimes for work, and since we didn't want him to be all alone, we offered to take him in until she returns." Sam explained.
"Well that's nice of you. Now go out and enjoy yourselves for the evening." Felicia smiled.
"Just remember, Erma tends to be a little shy around new people. An' Senshi can be… a little over energetic at times when it comes to meeting new people." Emiko said, none of them aware that the two children they were talking about, were hiding behind the wall, with Erma playing with a headless doll, and Senshi a drum stick twirling in the air above his hand. "An' Senshi has special abilities like Erma, so just be sure he doesn't use them too much."
"Right." Felicia smiled as Sam and Emiko left. Once the door was closed, Felicia turned to leave the room, and go to where she last saw the kids. "Alright kiddos, what kind of pizza do you like?" She asked pulling out her phone, and looking up only to find the kids were gone. "Erma, Senshi?" All she saw at the table, were two identical figures made of earth, unaware of the two children up near the ceiling behind her, Senshi floating, and Erma clinging to the walls. Senshi was trying desperately not to laugh as he and Erma were going to have a great time pranking her, as he made the lights go out.
Pulling a flashlight from the drawer, Felicia went wondering through the house, finding her way to Erma's room, and the room Senshi was sleeping in, across the hall.
"Okay kids, you got me. Time to come out." Felicia said. "That's enough hide and seek, you hear?"
Erma and Senshi were right behind her, and as they were about to spook her, she twists around, and saw nothing, as they were too fast for her to catch them.
"Tricky little suckers ain't ya?" Felicia asked. Senshi smiled from his hiding spot, and used his drumstick to cause a thud to echo from behind, which made Felicia jump and twist around. "Oh, is that how we're gonna do this?" Felicia asked, as Senshi and Erma were trying to hold in their laughter. "You better at least let me turn the lights on. This place is getting creepy." Felicia exclaimed marching back out to the hall, and flipping on the switch to find the lights worked. "Much better. Now where did those two run off to? Think ghost and demon child logic, ghost and demon child logic."
Felicia kept thinking, even as Erma and Senshi floated past her, with Erma phasing through the wall, and Senshi using magic to teleport into the room. At that point, Felicia figured out what they would do next, and turned around to catch them, but she was a bit too slow and missed them. With her back still turned, Erma phased her arm through the wall, and turned the lights off.
As the night continued on, Erma had continued to try and scare Felicia's pants off, while Senshi got bored of it, and just followed Erma around because he wanted to see her reaction to, but no matter what the half ghost child did, she wasn't able to scare Felicia.
"Look kids. I know you're trying to scare me, you're really dragging this on, so just give up and give it a rest will ya?" Felicia asked, before Erma popped out of the wall. This was Erma's last ditch attempt at scaring her, but it seemed she failed, as she didn't seem scared at all. "Nice try kid, where's the other one?"
"I'm right here." Senshi said.
Felicia turned around to see Senshi floating around in the air, his drumstick twirling between his fingers.
"All right, kitchen table, both of you." Felicia said, turning the lights back on.
"Yes Felicia." Senshi said, as he and Erma flew back to the table.
~10 Minutes Later~
"All right, that's Hawaiian with extra ham and cheese, and one peperoni with cheesy breadsticks. How long will that take…? Perfect, see you then, thank you." Felicia smiled, before hanging up the phone. She turned to the table, to see Senshi and Erma were still sitting there, Senshi playing with his drumstick, flying around in the air going in different directions as he directed it with motions of his hand, while Erma was just sulking. Obviously Senshi was trying to cheer her up. "Okay kids, what should we do while we wait for the pizza?" Felicia asked. "Play with some creepy porcelain dolls, watch some horror movies? Bet you have an Ouija board lying around here somewhere we could mess with."
"I'm good." Senshi said.
Felicia turned to look at Erma, noticing how she was all down in the dumps, being gloomy and sad.
"Still bummed you couldn't scare me huh?" Felicia asked.
"She is. Normally anyone new she meets, she scares them right away. She did with me on our first day of school. It was so funny how she spooked me at lunch; I ended up flying into the air in reflex and fear." Senshi smiled.
"Hmm… Oh, you know what would be really fun?" Felicia asked, getting Erma's attention.
~45Minutes Later~
"C'mon, where is that lady, it's getting cold out here." The delivery boy said, as he rang the doorbell, not noticing how Erma was floating up from behind.
~10 Minutes Later~
"HA. I can't believe we had to stay inside while you scared that dude. The sound of that scream was priceless." Felicia laughed.
"An' so were the pizzas." Senshi smiled eating a slice of Hawaiian. "Free pizza, is the best pizza."
"Seriously, how did his face look when you scared him?" Felicia asked.
The moment she asked that, a bunch of stringed puppets and dolls dropped from the ceiling, one of them dropping right in front of Felicia's face.
"GAH." She cried out.
"Like that." Senshi smiled.
"Should have figured you were gonna get me at some point tonight." Felicia smiled. "So tell me about yourself Senshi, what exactly are your abilities?" She inquired, turning to Senshi.
"Hmm… well, I can use both variations of Full Counter."
"What does that entail?"
"I can send any attack made at me, or someone I care about, right back at my attacker, with ten times the amount of force than it was originally sent with. Magical and Physical." Senshi smiled.
"Ooh, what else can you do?"
"I can heal from any injury, and there's only one thing that can kill me. I can control the earth, by using the same magic from giants of the days of old hundreds of years ago before the human and non-human worlds were forever divided. I can use memory magic, I can use Fairy Magic, and even my drumstick is actually a Sacred Treasure given to me by the Sacred Tree of the Fairy King's Forest. What else? Oh, my most powerful ability is why I wear this bracelet all the time." Senshi said, showing the beaded bracelet. "If I were to take it off right now, nothing would happen since it's night, but during the day I'd be the very definition of unstoppable."
"That's very fascinating." Felicia smiled.
After they finished up with their dinner, the trio watched a movie together, but Felicia noticed how Erma and Senshi were starting to get tired, and began nodding off. So after pausing the movie, Felicia ushered Erma and Senshi upstairs, and walked them through their nightly routines, before tucking them both into bed, and going downstairs to finish the movie herself. It wasn't until the movie ended that Sam and Emiko came home, and they both looked relieved to see she was fine.
"So you three got along fine then I take it?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, watching over them was a piece of cake." Felicia smiled, accepting her payment form Sam. "Although, I think we both have a different definition of 'being shy'."
"Well then we'll definitely give you a call next time." Sam said.
"I'll definitely be here then." Felicia smiled.
"I'm just relieved you were capable for the job." Emiko said. "We thought we'd have to pay for any damages like the last babysitter who watched over Erma."
"What happened to the last babysitter?" Felicia asked.
"Trust us, it's best you not ask." Sam said.
~Alonzo Sandburg Mental Hospital~
"In the mirrors… in the walls… Everywhere… in the house… She's everywhere." A blonde teenage girl said, wrapped up in a restraint jacket and bouncing around a padded room, her eyes wide with sleepless insomnia, and fear induced insanity. "She's coming to get me. She's everywhere…" The girl cried out, not noticing her shadow, forming a pair of blood red eyes.
