Sins of Blairwood-4
~Checkup~
It was your typical day in Blairwood for Erma and her family. Emiko and Sam had taken Erma to the doctor's with Senshi and his mom accompanying because he had an appointment as well. Erma was currently sitting on the medical exam table, while Senshi was sitting beside Emiko and Sam.
"Senshi? What are you doing in here?" Emiko asked.
"Erma used her ghostly telekinetic powers to drag me in here. An' every time I try to leave, she brings me back to this chair." Senshi exclaimed.
"Alright Erma, open wide." The doctor said.
Erma opened her mouth, big enough to fit a mini-van inside.
Next the doctor checked her heartbeat, hearing an ancient forbidden cursed language instead of a normal heartbeat.
Finally the doctor checked inside her ears and saw not a normal eardrum leading to the brain, but the gates of Tartarus, guarded by a skeleton monster, in the river of lava.
"Looks pretty healthy." The Doctor said. "Alright, since you're in here young man, it's time to do your checkup next."
"All right." Senshi said going to the checkup table, and sitting up on it.
The doctor did the normal routine stuff, but she had to do a few other things since he was a new patient of hers, which involved him raising his arms. She spotted the bracelet on his wrist, and moved towards it.
"I'm gonna have to remove this for a bit kiddo." She said.
"No wait, don't…"
But it was too late, and as she removed it, Senshi burst out of his clothing, no longer looking like a small child, but now looked like a body builder of a man, his pants being all that remained.
"This is what happens when you remove the bracelet. My power as the Pinnacle of human evolution, is released." Senshi said, raising his hand, sticking up a single finger.
"Is it getting hot in here? Someone turn on the AC." Sam exclaimed pulling at his collar, as the heat was visibly rising.
Erma used her ghostly telekinesis to take the bracelet from the doctor, and put it back on Senshi, reverting him back to normal.
"Sorry about that. I get kinda prideful whenever I use Sunshine." Senshi exclaimed, with a snicker.
"W-well, that's all for the examination. You get a clean bill of health." The doctor said.
Leaving the examination room, Senshi, Erma, Sam, and Emiko found Kuroko, waiting in the lobby of the office, reading a magazine.
"She removed the bracelet didn't she?" Kuroko asked, spotting them.
"How'd you know?" Sam asked.
"Because all the plastic toys melted." Kuroko said, pointing to the corner with the crying children.
~Ancient Relics~
"So what's holding you back on the project?" Sylvia questioned as she was walking home from school with Amy.
"I just don't know where to go to get the information I need." Amy said.
"Have you tried going to the library?"
"Yeah right, who goes to the library anymore?"
Meanwhile, at the local library, Erma and Senshi were at the receptionist desk, inquiring about the book for their combined project might be.
"In the back." The librarian said, after Erma finished asking her where the book might be, giving them the card for the specific shelf and number that was on the book.
Senshi and Erma both flew into the back, Senshi using his Fairy Magic, and Erma using her Ghost Magic. Finding the book they were looking for, Senshi used the same telekinetic abilities he uses on his Spirit Spear, to bring the book down to Erma, who blew the dust off it, resulting in tons of ghostly spirits wafting off it.
"Man, who knew so many people died to get their hands on this book?" Senshi said as Erma opened it up. After half an hour of reading, Erma closed it with an annoyed look on her face, matching Senshi's. "Well this was a colossal waste of time. It's not the right book." Senshi sighed, putting the book back where it came from. "It's only filled with curses and runes, leading to the lost city of Atlantis, that's not what we're after."
Scratching his head a bit, Senshi suddenly came up with an idea.
"I got it." Senshi smiled, before whistling with his index finger and thumb. Not long after a black portal opened up, revealing a green furred dog. "Come here Oslo." The eyeless fairy dog flipped out of the portal and flew straight for Senshi, nuzzling him. Senshi looked at Erma, who had a confused look on her face as to what he was getting at. "This is Oslo. He's a rare type of dark fairy who lives in a dimension between worlds. He can create a portal to any location I ask him for." Senshi said, taking Erma's hand and putting it on Oslo's snout, showing her it was all right to pet him. "He's kinda old though, but that's the great thing about his species. They can only die from fatal injuries, not age." Senshi said, petting Oslo all over with Erma. "Oslo, can you open up a portal to Aunty M?"
Oslo let out a bark of acknowledgment, and opened his mouth wide, showing the portal inside.
"C'mon Erma, I'm sure Aunty M, can help." Senshi smiled flying through the portal, with Erma following close behind, before Oslo ate himself, closing the portal behind him.
In a hidden part of the world, Oslo's portal opened up in a very medieval looking lab with a dragon's skull on a giant tree stump that was used as a table, with Senshi followed by Erma, flying out of the portal, and looking around.
"We must be on the bottom floor of Aunty M's lab. C'mon let's go find her." Senshi smiled as they flew through the building.
Flying through the multiple levels, Senshi and Erma couldn't find what they were looking for, which was Senshi's Aunty M, but as they were about to fly and look through another corridor, Senshi was pulled back at a high speed, before he was grabbed in a hand.
"That was Snatch. I only know of two people besides me who could use that." Senshi smiled, looking up at the silver haired man. "Grandpa Ban."
"Hey squirt. Glad you came for a visit." The immortal bandit said. "Does your mother know you're here?"
"No. Actually I'm just here to get some help on some research with a project." Senshi smiled.
"Who's your little friend, or is she your girlfriend?" A new voice asked, as a blonde woman came floating around Erma on a pair of Fairy Wings.
"Grandma Elaine. Erma isn't my girlfriend. She's my partner on our school project." Senshi said his face red, same with Erma's.
"Oh look at that you're both blushing." Ban mocked, laughing.
Senshi growled, as he reached for his bracelet.
"Ah, none of that young man." A woman's voice said, as magic stopped him from removing his bracelet. "Do you want my help on your project or not?"
"Aunty Merlin." Senshi cheered.
"It's good to see you to Senshi. I hope you've been keeping up on your studies. No descendant of mine should be lacking on their magic skills." Merlin smiled, dressed in her usual, revealing garb.
"Yeah, I've been keeping up on them." Senshi said, holding his arms out. "Perfect Cube."
Instantly, a cube made of magic energy enveloped him, and took off Ban's hand at the forearm, dropping to the ground, before it dissipated.
"Excellent work." Merlin smiled as Ban grabbed his hand and put it back on.
"So what's this project you're working on?" Elaine asked.
"Something called Genealogy. Erma and I decided to work on our projects together as partners, seeing as we're both non-human. Or at least not full human." Senshi said, straightening out his shirt.
"Oh, and what is little Erma's other half?" Merlin asked as Erma went and hid behind Senshi, not liking the looks she was getting from Merlin and Elaine.
"Yokai, ghost to be specific." Senshi said, before Erma whispered something in his ear.
"What'd she say?" Ban asked.
"She's wanting to know why Aunt Merlin and Grandma Elaine are both looking at her like she's something to be weary of." Senshi said.
"My apologies, I was just fascinated that Little Senshi found himself a friend like you." Elaine said. "He's always been such a shy child, never really doing much to make friends."
"Grandma Elaine." Senshi said sounding frustrated and embarrassed.
"As for me, I was just curious about your abilities, that's all." Merlin said.
"So why come here for Genealogy?" Ban asked.
"Well, we tried going to the library, for info on yokai that Erma might be related to. After all, Erma's mom doesn't like talking about her past, don't know why though." Senshi said. "But the library was a bust. So I thought Aunt Merlin might have a book on Yokai."
"I have than that." Merlin smiled. "Tell me Erma, would your mother's name, happen to be Emiko?"
Erma looked up at Merlin and nodded.
"Thought so." Merlin smiled, before snapping her finger. Out of one of the rooms, came a book flying towards them, and landing in Merlin's hand. "I actually happen to be good friends with Emiko's father. Her mother though, I don't really get along with. This is a book of your family members from your mother's side of the family, be sure to return it when you're done, okay?"
Erma nodded and accepted the book.
"Thanks Aunt Merlin." Senshi smiled. "Oslo."
"I'm afraid he's asleep now." Elaine said floating over to them. "He won't be up for a while. Why don't you stay for dinner?"
"I'll have to contact my mom, and ask her to let Erma's parents know where she is." Senshi said.
"I can take care of that." Merlin smiled.
"Grandpa Meliodas isn't gonna be the one cooking is he?" Senshi asked.
"No, don't worry kid. I'm cooking tonight. An' since you're here, I'll make your favorites. Erma doesn't have any allergies does she?" Ban said.
Erma shook her head no.
"Good, then tonight we feast like royalty." Ban cheered.
"I'll go tell Harlequin and Diane." Elaine smiled.
"What about Uncle Gowther?" Senshi asked.
"He's in the library. I'll be sure to let him know you're here." Merlin smiled.
"Tonight's gonna be epic." Ban cheered hauling both Erma and Senshi onto his shoulders. "It's Party Central."
