Sins of Blairwood-6
~Visitor~
The night was calm and quiet as Erma was watching Warrior Unicorn Princess, with her mom. It got kinda hard for her to hide her secret from her parents, and they eventually found out when she caught Erma playing out a scene from it with Senshi, but they were accepting of it.
Their quiet night however was interrupted when the doorbell rang as they were not expecting anyone this late at night. Not even Senshi.
"I got it." Sam said, scratching their dog on the head as he went to the door. Upon opening the entrance to their house, he was met with a large single eyed tentacle monster, trying to force its way through the small door frame. "Honey, I think it's for you." Sam said calling for her.
"Coming." Emiko said getting up.
Meanwhile, across the street, Senshi was watching the same program as Erma, except with only Saphira to keep him company, as she laid down in his lap. She'd grown quite a bit bigger since he first got her, and according to the information Merlin gave him on Saphira's species of drake, she would grow to be as big as a female lion, which was fine with him. Right now, she was as big as a six month old Siberian husky.
He was alone again tonight, as his mom was out on another work trip. She didn't even bother to ask anyone to watch over him while she was gone. He didn't know why, but Kuroko had tried that, giving Senshi more freedom thing, and took it a little too far with leaving him alone with Saphira.
His program was interrupted when someone knocked on the door. Not knowing who it was, Senshi floated to the door, and looked through the peek hole, and smiled widely when he saw who was there.
"Grandpa Ban, Grandma Elaine." Senshi cheered opening the door and embracing them in a hug. "What are you doing here?"
"Merlin used a spyglass spell to look in on you, and told us that you were home alone. So we thought that maybe it was time, it wasn't just your mom and you living alone." Ban smiled as he squatted down to pet Saphira, as she purred and pushed into his hand like a cat. "So we had Oslo portal us here."
"What was your mother thinking, leaving you here alone all by yourself?" Elaine asked, floating in, and heading for the kitchen. "Hold on, I'll make dinner."
"You will not. Last time you were in a kitchen, you burned the house down. Literally." Ban said. "I'll be the one cooking dinner Elaine. You just relax and take it easy. I'm not wanting to explain to Kuroko why she came back to a pile of ashes instead of a house."
"It was one time dear." Elaine huffed.
"Still doesn't change the fact it happened." Ban said. "I only have my immortality back, because the Sacred Tree in the Fairy Kings forest, produced another fountain of youth."
"Fine, I'll just watch television with Senshi then." Elaine said, going to the living room. "Senshi, you're a WUMPER?" Elaine asked spotting the program that was on.
"Oh boy." Senshi exclaimed.
~A Talk~
Sam and Emiko loved their daughter, they cared about her a great deal, but there was something off about her that they were starting to notice, and that was something they weren't expecting her to experience for a few more years.
Erma had her first crush, and it seemed to be developing into more than just a simple crush. They spotted hints of Erma having a crush on someone when she was staring out into space out the window, but what really alerted them to it, was when they caught her doing a sketch of Senshi in her notebook, with a barely visible heart around him.
"Erma, we need to talk." Emiko said, as she and Sam came into her room.
Meanwhile, in the house across the street, Kuroko got used to the idea of Ban and Elaine living with them, especially if it gave her someone to look over Senshi when she was away, but she's been noticing something about her son, something she was all too familiar with, when she was a teen. She knew for a fact, her son had a crush, on a little ghost girl across the street. She was affirmed of this, when she spotted him writing a poem, and adding a little doodle of Erma at the bottom.
Currently, she was out looking for him, in the backyard, where Ban and Elaine were building him a tree house.
"Senshi sweetie, where are you? We need to talk for a bit." She questioned.
"If you're looking for him, he went to the library." Ban said. "He said something about learning how to crochet or something like that."
"Dang, I was hoping to talk to him, before I went out for work, but it looks like it'll have to wait. Thanks Grandpa." Kuroko said, leaving and heading out. With Kuroko gone, Ban turned back to the tree house and looked towards the tree trunk where Senshi was sitting against it with Elaine.
"So Senshi, let's talk about this crush of yours." Ban smiled, cheekily as he continued to hammer in nails, while Elaine used her plant magic to make a better support for it.
"Do you really like this girl?" Elaine asked.
"Yeah. She's been nice to me ever since mom and I moved here. An' she's unique to." Senshi said.
"I think we can pretty much guess who you're crushing on from that." Ban smiled, as he finished putting in the last board. "Question is, does she like you back?"
"I don't know. I mean, she did blush when I asked her to dance at that monster ball." Senshi exclaimed.
"I get the feeling you won't have to worry about her liking you back." Elaine smiled.
"So, what do I do?" Senshi asked.
"Honestly?" Ban inquired coming into the tree house, and sitting beside him. "Just be yourself kid. I was myself when I met Elaine, and we fell in love within a few weeks."
"Was this before that demon came and burnt down the Fairy King's Forest?" Senshi asked, remembering the full story of how Ban and Elaine met.
"Yes it was." Elaine smiled. "Ban came to steal the Fountain of Youth, but I kept pushing him off the Sacred Tree. That didn't stop him though. The forest kept saving him, and I guess it knew, it's time came and needed a human to plant the seed of the Sacred Tree so a new one would grow."
"I always enjoy hearing about when you two met." Senshi smiled. "It might not end happily, but everything eventually worked out in the end."
"That's right. But you're young, and this is your first crush, so just be patient. I'm sure your mom would tell you the same thing." Ban smiled.
"If she were ever around." Senshi said.
"What does your mother do for work?" Elaine asked.
"She never tells me anything work related. But she brings me a gift after every business trip, so that's nice I guess."
'She's trying to keep his affection on her, by getting him gifts.' Ban thought. "Is the fact that she's not really around a lot, the reason why you're comfortable talking about this with us, than with her?"
"Yeah."
"We seriously need to have a sit down with her." Elaine sighed.
~Weekly Grind~
Senshi was with Erma and Felicia at the Williams, sitting at the table, helping Erma make a voodoo doll of Ban. It was date night for both the Williams, as well as Ban and Elaine, and with Kuroko out on another business trip, Felicia was hired to watch over both children that night. Currently, the teen was on the phone with one of her friends.
"Nah, I can't hang out tonight. I'm babysitting the little monster and demon right now." Felicia said, putting down her cup of coffee. "So what is she doing there? Of course she would."
Erma and Senshi looked to the cup of coffee Felicia left after she got up and headed for the other room. Neither of them actually knowing what coffee tastes like, got really curious and decided to drink it.
When Sam and Emiko returned, with Ban and Elaine stopping by to pick up Senshi, the four stopped when they saw the entire house was a mess, and both children looked like they were running around the house, fueled by something. Felicia looked terrified at what was happening.
"What happened here?" Sam asked.
"I am never, bringing coffee near those two ever again." Felicia said.
"I see now." Ban said, before he used Snatch, to snag the two and held them in his hands, before Elaine used a sleep spell, the make them too tired to really do anything. "That should do it." Ban exclaimed as Elaine put Erma in Emiko's hands.
"Thanks for that." Emiko smiled.
"Felicia, why don't I give you a ride home? You look like you're exhausted." Sam said.
"That would be appreciated, thanks." Felicia said, grabbing her bag.
"Oslo." Elaine called, as the fairy came out of his dimension. "Can you bring some cleaner fairies to clean up this mess?"
~Picture Perfect~
Senshi, Erma, Siris, and Saphira, were walking through the woods, with Senshi carrying a picnic basket, filled with food. Well, Siris and Saphira were walking, Senshi and Erma were floating.
After a while, a shadow loomed over them, and they turned around, to see it was Bigfoot who was standing behind them. But he looked rather nice, instead of mean. So they spent their day hanging out with big foot, and at the end of it, Erma took a picture with all five of them in the shot. After putting it in her scrap book Erma, and Senshi said goodbye to Bigfoot, before going home, as the sun was beginning to set.
~A New Tenant~
"I'm so bored." Senshi groaned leaning into the couch. "Erma's at her grandparents, and I'm stuck at home doing nothing. I wanna do something fun."
"Knock, knock."
Senshi felt something tapping the top of his head, before he turned around, and saw no one there. Standing on the couch cushions, Senshi looked behind it and saw no one there. Scratching the top of his head, Senshi was confused about what was going on until he felt a pair of hands, grab him by the waist, and hoist him up in the air, holding him upside down by an invisible force.
"Is this fun enough for you?"
"Uncle Ben." Senshi cheered with joy as a tall, slender yet well-toned and muscled young man, appeared from thin air, revealing he was holding Senshi. Ben Shigura, was dressed in a pair of cargo pants with a dark red overcoat, and a pair of steel toed boots on his feet.
"How's it hanging kiddo?" Ben smiled, readjusting his glasses. "How's my favorite nephew doing?"
"I'm your only nephew." Senshi laughed.
"Oh you're right. Your mom better fix that soon, otherwise I won't have anyone else to spoil as a little kid anymore."
"How would my mom have more kids?" Senshi asked.
"I am so glad you asked, you see when a man and a woman love each other…"
"Ben, no lessons on the birds and the bee's with Senshi, not until he's older." Ban exclaimed coming into the room. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Hey gramps, I'm here because I ran into sis, and she said I could stay here since my old place was trashed." Ben exclaimed.
"What happened to your old place?"
"Oh you know, psychotic suicide bomber wanted revenge against me for bringing him in for his bounty, after he got out of a five year jail sentence, and blew up the entire building." Ben said.
"An' you're sure they didn't follow you?" Ban asked.
"Nope. None, I came here free of anyone tailing me." Ben said, before the door burst open, and a man with a gun came in aiming it at Ben, but was shot in the head before anything bad could happen.
"What was that?" Senshi asked.
"Nothing, kiddo. Nothing you need to see. Why don't you come with me to your tree house while your uncle cleans up a mess he made coming in?" Ban suggested, grabbing Senshi, and making sure he didn't have a view of the body Ben just made at the front entrance.
"Welp, better start unpacking my stuff." Ben said, before a mop and bucket were shoved in his hands. "Hey what are these for?"
"Oslo disposed of the body by teleporting it to an active volcano. You're cleaning the mess of blood." Elaine said.
"Fine. I wonder if Kuroko would mind if I took Senshi to a strip club tonight for some Nephew Uncle bonding time." Ben thought as he began to mop.
