Sins of Blairwood-7

~Gravesite Visit~

The sun was setting on the horizon as a portal opened up. Coming out of it, was Senshi, Erma, Saphira, and Oslo. Senshi held a single flower in his hand as they walked to a tombstone on the edge of the cliff, with a large golden axe on the top of the stone, with the Lion Sin of Pride emblem, engraved into the stone.

"Hi Uncle Escanor." Senshi smiled putting the flower in the vase beside the tombstone, before sitting in front of it. "I'm back again, just like every month. An' I brought a friend with me this time. Her name is Erma, and she's like me."

Erma sat next to Senshi and smiled softly, waving to the tombstone.

"Erma's a nice friend, and she's very thoughtful, and likes to play games." Senshi smiled. "I wish I could have met you before you died. But you were only human, and you were alive hundreds of years ago. So I guess I'll just have to live, and imagine what you're like in person."

Erma pondered before she reached forward and knocked on the tombstone, normally she'd get a response, but nothing came out.

"You're not gonna get a skeleton to pop out of the ground Erma. Aunt Merlin cremated his body and stuck the ashes in an urn which she buried inside the tombstone with her magic." Senshi said.

Erma looked at Senshi, realizing that his aunt had taken preparations to prevent someone from bringing Escanor back to life with dark magic. So, to get his mind off the subject, Erma point to the axe, questioning it.

"Oh, that's Divine Axe Rhitta. Escanor's Sacred Treasure. It allowed him to use his immense power to the best of his abilities." Senshi said. Erma just looked at him confused. "Let me put it to you this way. Say you were at a lake, and that lake, represented your power. You could only take out so much, with just your hands right?" Erma nodded. "Well think of a sacred treasure as… a hose pump, taking out gallons and gallons of water at a time with each pump. That's how a Sacred Treasure works. It amplifies one's abilities."

Erma nodded in understanding, realizing what Senshi was talking about. She then pointed to Rhitta and then to Senshi.

"I'll only answer that question, if you use your words." Senshi smiled. "I know you can talk, you just don't want to."

Erma looked annoyed at him, but she really wanted to know the answer to her question, so she decided to put up with it for now.

"Are you able to use Rhitta?" Erma asked, her voice sounding like Eri's voice from My Hero Academia English Dub.

"Your voice is so cute. I guess you don't talk, because you're supposed to be scary but your voice is adorable." Senshi smiled.

"Just answer the question." Eri said, puffing out her cheeks in a huff.

"No, I can't use Rhitta, even when I take my bracelet off during the day. No one after Uncle Escanor could pick it up. But you know, if I were able to use Rhitta, I'd use it to protect those I care about." Senshi smiled.

"Well, we should probably get back. My mom's making dumplings tonight." Erma smiled.

"Yummy." Senshi said, before whistling for Oslo to make the portal.

Climbing through Oslo's mouth, Erma and Saphira went through first, but Senshi looked back, one last time at the tombstone, and reached out to Rhitta with his power, but stopped with a small chuckle.

"I'll see you next time, Uncle Escanor." Senshi smiled, before going through Oslo's portal, with the dark fairy dog closing the portal in on himself, missing how Rhitta moved ever so slightly, responding, to Senshi's call.

~Just Pull Back~

Erma was standing in her bathroom with a mess of her hair around her. No matter what she tried, Erma couldn't get her hair to stay back. She had a couple more ideas to try and one of them involved Senshi's help.

So flying through the house, and down to where the others were, Erma grabbed Senshi and pulled him upstairs, into the bathroom, leaving the door open just a little.

"What's up Erma?" Senshi asked.

"I need your help with my hair." Erma said. "Nice costume by the way."

Senshi smiled, and looked down at himself, dressed like how Grandpa Meliodas dressed when he was still on the run from the Holy Knights. Senshi wasn't surprised Erma was talking only to him. She'd been doing so ever since he first heard her voice at Escanor's gravesite.

"So what do you need my help with for your hair?" Senshi asked.

"I need you to use Fossilization on my hairband to make sure it won't snap." Erma said.

"You can't be serious. I could accidentally use it on you." Senshi exclaimed.

"It's either that or a bear trap." Erma said.

"Alright fine." Senshi sighed. "Your mom's gonna kill me if I end up fossilizing you."

~Erma's Costume~

"Thank you again for taking Erma and her friends out for Trick or Treating, tonight Felicia. You to Elaine." Emiko said.

"It's no problem Emiko." Elaine said, floating beside Felicia.

"Yeah. To be honest it was either this, or go to a Halloween party, and frankly, this sounded more fun." Felicia smiled.

"So what do you think Erma pulled Senshi upstairs for?" Elaine asked.

"I'm curious myself." Emiko said.

"Don't know. But have you seen how those two have been getting closer lately?" Felicia inquired.

"Yeah, they have been getting closer to one another lately." Emiko said. "You should have seen them when they were dancing at the Monster Ball, it was adorable to see."

"So, when do you think Erma's gonna come back down with Senshi?" Felicia asked.

"Probably in a minute. I heard her telling Senshi she needed his help with her hair." Sam said, holding a bowl of candy. "Where's Ban?"

"He's out and about making sure it's safe for the night. There are a lot of crazy people in masks who love killing people on Halloween, that movie about Michael Myers proves it, and Ben is out on the trail of another bounty." Elaine said.

"You do know, that movie isn't based off actual events right?" Felicia asked.

"Better to be safe than sorry." Elaine said.

"Anyone know what Erma's costume's supposed to be?" Amy asked.

"I bet it's extra freaky and gross looking. Probably super scary." Terry said.

"Either way, it's gotta be good." Connor said.

"I think Senshi said something about Erma and him wearing costumes that go together." Sylvia said.

As if on cue, Erma and Senshi came down stairs, and revealed their costumes to them. Senshi was dressed as the Boar Hat's barkeep, and Erma was wearing a more, child friendly version, of the female staff uniform of the Boar Hat, with a purple ribbon bow keeping her hair in a ponytail. Even Senshi's hair was temporarily dyed and styled to look like Meliodas's, and he had the fake sword and everything on his back. In front of them, sat Saphira, who was dressed like a pig with a clover imprint on the back end of the costume.

The fact that her costume wasn't scary at all, caused the other children to gasp.

"Oh, you're dressed like Meliodas and Elizabeth Liones from when they first met at the Boar Hat Tavern." Elaine smiled.

"Yep." Senshi smiled.

"So what did Erma pull you upstairs for?" Felicia asked.

"She wanted me to use Fossilization on her hair tie. After that, she told me to wait in the hall for her as she got dressed." Senshi said. "She even tied the purple bow over the hair tie to hide the fact I turned it to stone."

"Now I see why you wanted me to make this costume for you." Emiko smiled. "It really does suit you."

"You don't look all that scary you know." Terry said.

"Oh trust me. Granny Elizabeth hailed from the Goddess Race, and was strong enough to fight against the Demon Kings top fighters. She might not look scary, but she was stronger than any other fighter of that era." Senshi explained.

"So, shall we get going?" Felicia smiled.

~Worth a Shot~

"Trick or Treat." Senshi, Amy, and Connor said, while Erma remained silent.

"Oh, your costume looks so adorable sweetie." The woman said, smiling at how cute Erma was dressed. "Here's some extra candy for the effort you put into it." She said, giving Erma some extra pieces of candy.

"Let's try the Cravens house down the street." Amy said walking ahead with Connor.

"You okay Erma?" Senshi asked, nudging her with his elbow. Erma nodded, and spotted some kids across the street, and went to try and scare them, with Senshi following.

Jumping out from the bushes, the kid's got spooked a bit from the surprise itself, but didn't find her costume all that scary.

"Was that her costume?" One kid dressed as Blade, inquired.

"Looks pretty normal to me." The girl dressed as Medusa said before they stopped with Senshi blocking their path.

"You might wanna look again." Senshi said.

Turning around, the two jumped in horror as they saw a terrifying sight, or Erma with her face melting and her clothes on fire, before they ran screaming, the light strands of magic in their necks disappearing.

"Oops, looks like they dropped their candy. Oh well, waste not want not." Senshi said, picking up the dropped bags of candy. Calling for Oslo, and sending them back to his room.

"Senshi, did you use your memory magic to make them see something different?" Erma asked, walking up to him.

"Maybe." Senshi said, before he felt a pair of arms wrap around him.

"Thank you." Erma smiled, before letting him go from the hug.

~Special Treat~

"Let's see what we got so far." Amy suggested.

"I got a popcorn ball." Terry said.

"I got a Woo Hoo Bar." Amy said.

"I got a bag of candy corn." Connor exclaimed.

"I got a pack of cigarettes." Senshi said, pulling it out of his bag, looking confused.

"Who'd give a kid a pack of cigarettes?" Elaine questioned, taking the cigarettes from Senshi.

"Don't know. What'd you get Erma?" Senshi questioned, Elaine tossing the tobacco cancers in the trash.

Erma reached into her bag and pulled out a rock.

"Huh. Looks like we both got the short end of the…"

Chomp…

"…stick…" Senshi finished, amazed at how Erma just took a bite out of her rock, and was eating it like it was actually made of candy.

~Round Two~

"Hey wanna try scaring someone without my help?" Senshi asked.

Erma smiled and looked around, before spotting a cat in an alleyway. With a look of confidence, Erma went marching towards it.

"Erma?" Terry asked.

"Don't go too far kiddo." Felicia said.

Erma went to the cat, and put on a scary face, at first it didn't seem all that impressed. Up on the wall was another cat, a black cat, and it knocked over a rock that landed on the orange furred cat's tail, causing it to wail out in pain, and run off. Erma hadn't noticed the falling rock, and smiled, thinking it was her cause, before she went back to the group.

Elaine looked to Senshi and saw him smile, while holding in a small laugh.

"What's so funny young man?" Elaine asked.

"Erma didn't notice the rock fall on the other cat's tail, and it's funny how it was a black cat, meant for bringing bad luck." Senshi smiled.

~Trick~

"Trick or Treat." All the kids, minus Erma, said as the door opened.

"What are you all so cheery about? Every year I get bombarded by you pests asking for candy. Well I don't have any, not that you deserve it anyways. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves, asking for more out of me than I have given in this world! Now get out of my sight before I call the police." The old woman said, before slamming the door in front of them.

"Yeesh, what's with her?" Sylvia asked.

"Got a case of, Old Grouch Fever, I guess." Terry said.

"An' she apparently has the best candy in town." Amy said.

"Not to worry everyone." Senshi smiled, causing them to look at him. "I played a little trick on her while she was yelling at us."

"What'd you do kiddo?" Felicia asked.

Senshi brought his left hand out from behind him, showing the bowl of candy that had been in the old woman's house, but the pile in the bowl looked diminished.

"Whoa, nice one bud. But won't she notice all her candy missing?" Felicia inquired.

"Nope. Let's just say, I got to indulge myself with my mental games a bit." Senshi smiled.

Inside the house, the old grouch of a woman was panicking, wondering why all her candy in her bowl, suddenly tasted like mud and dog crap. On the back of her neck, was a strand of Senshi's mind manipulation magic.

Back outside, Senshi had divided up the candy equally, with the last of it going into his bag, leaving Erma to wonder in sadness why she didn't get any, before Senshi stepped up to her, and pulled another candy bag, out from behind his back and emptied it into Erma's bag.

"I saved all the best pieces from the bowl for you." Senshi smiled, seeing the stars of wonder in her eyes.

Erma was so happy that he hadn't actually forgotten about her, she pulled him in for a hug, and without thinking gave him a kiss on the cheek, causing him to freeze up and blush, as he was not expecting her to be this grateful to him for saving the best pieces of the candy for her.

Felicia and Elaine saw this and smiled, knowing this was the start of something beautiful between the two.

~The Local Legend~

Currently, Felicia, Elaine, and all the kids were standing at the gate in front of a spooky old mansion fenced off with a stone wall, and a single gate to enter through.

"So aren't you guys gonna go in?" Felicia inquired.

"No way. Haven't you heard about this place?" Terry questioned. "Local legends tell that the owner of this place went mad and cut his own head off. Some say he rose from his own crypt and now haunts this place to this very day as a headless zombie, with his body being perfectly preserved. Lighting a candle every night in his attic, to remind us of his presence."

"So let me get this straight. You hang out with Erma and Senshi, two children who are a literal ghost and demon, and you're scared of a supposedly haunted house?" Felicia inquired.

"It does sound kinda silly when you think about it." Elaine said. "Also, Erma and Senshi are already heading in."

"Um… Erma, Senshi, what are you doing?" Terry questioned as he and the other kids looked a little panicked.

Erma and Senshi stepped up to the door, with Erma ringing the doorbell. Moments later the door was opened by a headless man, who held his own head in his left arm, and a bowl of candy in his right.

"Trick or Treat." Senshi smiled, him and Erma holding out their bags.

"Well, look at what we have here." The headless man said. "It's been a while since I've had visitors. Or at least ones that didn't run away at first sight of me." He smiled. "You young man, your costume reminds me of someone I met before I took my own head off."

"I'm dressed like my Grandpa Meliodas." Senshi said.

"Oh you're Meliodas's boy are you? It's been ages since I've seen him, how's he doing?" The headless man asked, pouring half the candy into Erma's bag, and the other half into Senshi's.

"He's doing fine. Visits Granny Elizabeth's grave every morning and evening." Senshi smiled.

"Tell me, has he gotten any better at cooking?" The headless man inquired. "It is what drove me mad after all."

"I'm afraid not. People still get sick when they eat his cooking." Senshi said. "His apple pies still make people puke rainbows."

"Oh now that is funny." The Headless man smiled. "Come by for another visit some time, and we'll swap stories about him. Come back now, ya hear?"

"Sounds fun." Senshi smiled, before he and Erma went down to the others, who were looking at them in shock. "What?"

~Crashing the Party~

Felicia sighed as she looked at the house they were passing by. The house was where the party she was invited to, was being hosted, and she honestly felt like she was missing out on it.

"What's the matter sis?" Sylvia asked.

"Nothing Sylvia." Felicia let out another sigh. "Just missing out on one heck of a party."

Senshi and Erma looked to one another, neither of them liking the fact their babysitter was upset. Wanting to do something to cheer her up, Erma came up with an idea, and whispered it to Senshi.

"Great idea, let's get going." Senshi smiled, before Erma made them both disappear as they floated off to begin the scare fest.

"Hey, has anyone seen Erma and Senshi?" Terry questioned.

Inside the party, Senshi was still invisible as he got to work, using his mind manipulation magic, on all the guests, making them think the lights were going out. When all the teens were spooked enough, Erma came floating out of the water that was in the barrel, when the game, bobbing for apples, was brought out, just as one girl, dressed as Starfire from Teen Titans, was about to try her take on it.

Right then, Senshi made all of the guests see her turn into a horrifying monster, that sent them all screaming and running for the exit. Outside, the others were still looking for the duo.

"Erma." Felicia called out. "Where did she float off to now?"

"Senshi." Elaine called. "Where are you sweetie? Come to grandma."

Almost instantly, a horde of terrified teens came running out the gate of the fence, screaming and running for safety.

"Oh man, that was too good." Senshi said, as he and Erma came out with apples in their arms, while Senshi was laughing.

"You little stinkers." Elaine said, with an amused smile on her face.

~Graveyard Smash~

As the night was drawing close to an end, the gang was still out, to try and get a last bit of candy.

"We're really sorry you had to skip out on the party Felicia." Amy said.

"Eh, don't worry about it. That party certainly didn't last long anyways." Felicia said.

"Thanks to these two right here." Elaine said, patting Erma and Senshi on the head.

Erma and Senshi were in deep thought, hoping to try and make Felicia happy again, before Erma had another idea, and whispered it to Senshi.

"Good idea." Senshi smiled, before going to grab Felicia's arm and pulled her with him.

"Can I help you?" Felicia asked.

"Just come on, Erma and I wanna show you something." Senshi said.

So without any argument, Felicia followed, and to her surprise, they went through a cemetery. Stopping at one of the gravestones, Erma knocked on it, like she had with Escanor's tombstone. A second later, skeletons and zombies came crawling out of their graves, and towards the group. The only ones not panicking were Erma and Senshi. One of the zombies reached their hand out to Felicia, and with a bit of encouragement from Erma, she took his hand.

What happened next, no one could have predicted. The zombie started dancing with Felicia, and music began playing, it was the Monster Mash, being played on bones as the entire graveyard turned into a party with all the corpses dancing.

Erma and Senshi sat on one of the statues to the large walk in tomb, and smiled seeing how everyone was having fun.

"This was a fun night." Senshi smiled.

"Definitely." Erma agreed, putting her hand on his, and her head on his shoulder.

Looking up at them from the ground, Ban, who had come hearing the music to investigate what was going on, smiled as she recognized those two outfits, and knew who they were instantly.

"Elizabeth, if you could see Senshi now, I'm sure you'd be proud of the young man he's becoming." Ban smiled.
