About an hour into my shift rain had begun to fall down in big heavy drops. I was drenched almost immediately and to my right Leah shook repeatedly to get the water out of her fur. She was no fan of rain.
Ugh, this just had to happen now

Shut up Paul! Leah's growling was life threatening and Paul was lucky he was on the complete opposite border
Actually, I like the rain. It makes everything so clean, washes away all the dirt and the mud

Yup, Paul liked to annoy the hell out of people. I barked the wolfish pendant to a chuckle when suddenly Seth spoke up.
Jake? Bella's here and she wants to see you
I stopped. What?
Yeah, she came right up to me and Embry and said she wouldn't move until she's talked to you
Yup and she seems rather determined Embry chimed in and sent an image of Bella standing in front of them, arms crossed in front of her chest looking not the least bit afraid. Geez, Jake you've really chosen quite a girl. I mean, not many girls would walk right up to two giant wolves and tell them she wouldn't move an inch till she gets what she wants
I rolled my eyes unsure what to do. On my side Leah looked at me with narrowed eyes. Jake, you know you can't avoid her forever. Sometimes you have to face her
This was rather nice compared to the grumpy things she usually said. I cocked my head. You are annoying even when you are nice I told her and she barked once. Alright then, let's get Seth and Embry out of their misery
