Authors Note: In response to the NUMEROUS Anti Stark/North/Tyrion fanfics, the ones who pretty much worship everything to do with the Targaryen. Warning, this will likely be a substandard fic, but at this point I will take it to counter the sheer amount of Anti Stark/Sam/Tyrion/North, pretty much anti anyone who even GLANCES at Dany/Rhaegar wrong.
Read and enjoy at your own risk!
The Trope: Sansa is a despicable Oathbreaker. Yes...she DID break an oath, I won't deny that...but people seem to think she did it for purely power reasons or that she 'manipulated' people to become Queen of The North
What if there was a more in Canon reason for her telling Tyrion about Jon?
Tyrion stared at Sansa, his eyes wider then plates "...Jon?"
Sansa looked down at the Imp, nodding.
"...Sansa why are you telling me this?"
Sansa looked back over the ramparts "...The Dragon Queen has made her choice. She choose the Throne over him the moment she demanded he keep it a secret."
Tyrion defended "maybe she doesn't want a war-"
"War with what? The North can't fight with our losses, she could just marry Jon...and the more people who know..." Sansa trailed off.
"...The more people who know Jon's heritage the less chance Daenerys has to kill him." Tyrion finished "you...think she would kill him?"
"I think there's a chance of that yes. She's so consumed with the idea of the Throne, her life work's finally within reach, that nothing else matters anymore."
Tyrion's face darkened "Again I ask, why are you telling me this?"
"Promise me you'll protect Jon. That she won't kill him for a chair of swords."
Tyrion stared up at the red head looking almost pleadingly down at him...his heart torn between staying truthful to his Queen and his friend.
"Promise me."
And he knew he couldn't refuse her.
"I promise."
Again...yes Sansa broke an oath...but I truly believe she did it with the intent of protecting Jon, cause the more people who know about his heritage, the less chance Dany has to execute him. And besides, the evidence showed that she cared more for an iron chair then Jon, when she demanded she not tell anyone cause it would overtake her in the line of succession.
How can one remain silent when you can clearly see what the future holds for your country and all the others in Westeros? A queen that has Dragons(weapons of mass destruction) and a Dothraki horde, these people are conquerors, they have their own interest at heart, and Sansa she had her and her peoples interest to worry about. It is after all her country, she was born and raised in the North. Now you tell me what would you do for your country and your people? And Her brother, blinded by Dany opening her legs for him, couldn't be trusted to protect the North when he bent the knee to her after Dany spread her legs for him. So the defense of her kingdom had to be left up to her.
