This is a one shot I've written in honor of Mary's birthday. It's more than a few days late but I know she understands. If you haven't had the chance, go and read her fabulous fics. She's a talent in her own rite. Her author name is Scarlett2u . Thanks for the continued support. I adore my readers. Nothing belongs to me except original characters. Enjoy!
Chuck woke to an empty bed and was less than pleased about it. He slowly rolled over glancing at the clock. It was only eight. He then looked over to the right side of the bed where his wife usually was and wondered what had drawn her away from him this early on a Saturday. He assumed that it was one of the children. He had just gotten home late last night from a week long business trip to Australia and he knew Blair would be conscious of the fact that he was exhausted from traveling.
He got up pulling on his robe. He wanted to see the kids and hopefully convince Blair to come back to bed with him. They had only made love once last night before he fell asleep. He wanted at least another go around or two.
As he headed down the stairs he thought about how much he had missed his family. He could've never imagined that he would be like this all those years ago when all he cared about was women and partying. Now his perfect night was home curled up with his three children watching a movie with his gorgeous wife sitting next to him. There wasn't anything else he'd rather do.
He crossed the foyer and headed towards the dining room. He was sure he'd find everyone having breakfast. He was not disappointed when he entered the room and saw his three children all sitting at the table just starting to eat. Dorota was pouring orange juice into four year old Ned's glass.
Six year old Cordelia was the first to spy him in the archway. "Daddy, you're up." She tossed her cloth napkin onto the table and jumped out of her chair running to Chuck.
He bent over scooping her up and into his arms hugging her. She was getting so big but he still loved to pick her up. He kissed her cheek. "I missed you, princess."
She pulled back at him scanning his face as if she was trying to reacquaint herself with it. "I missed you too, Daddy. Mommy wouldn't let me wake you up." She hugged him again.
He put her down when he felt Ned tugging on his robe. "I wanna hug too, Daddy."
Chuck picked him up hugging him tightly. He spied Henry still sitting at the table. Ever since his first born had turned nine he had become a lot less demonstrative with his feelings. It broke Chuck's heart a little.
He crossed the room returning Ned to his seat. He then ruffled Henry's hair before leaning over and placing a kiss to the top of his head. "How are you doing this morning, Hen?"
Henry picked up his spoon. "I'm good, Dad." He took a bite of his oatmeal. "Can I go to Tommy's today?"
Chuck slid into his seat at the head of the table. Dorota set his cup of espresso in front of him. "Probably. We'll need to talk to your mother first though." He glanced up at Dorota. "Where is Blair?"
Dorota sighed. "Early morning workout. She says winter has ruined body. She needs to get summer ready." Dorota rolled her eyes.
Chuck took a sip of his coffee. He stood up. "I'm going to go down and say hello to her. Can I get eggs and toast please."
Dorota nodded. "Poached soft?"
Chuck smiled at her picking up his cup. "You know me well, Dorota."
He exited the dining room and made his way down to the home gym where he knew he would find Blair and her trusted trainer Teddy.
As he came down the hall he could hear some sort of music. It sounded like hard core rap of some kind and not Teddy's usual pop. When he came to the open doorway he saw his wife bent over in downward facing dog pose. He paused taking in her gorgeous ass. He might have to excuse Teddy and give her a truly good cardio session. He felt his dick tighten.
"That's beautiful, Blair."
It was then that Chuck's eyes were drawn up to her trainer, that wasn't Teddy, but someone else altogether.
Teddy had been Blair's trainer ever since Ned's birth over four years ago. He was gay and marvelous. This man was not. First he was beyond handsome and second he looked way too comfortable placing his hands on Blair's hips and adjusting them. Plus the way he was taking in the sight of Blair's ass in her snug pants suggested that there was a pretty good chance that he was not gay but very straight.
"Perfect. Now pull that stomach in and open those hips." Blair clearly was doing what he asked. "Fantastic, Blair. Beautiful."
Chuck clenched his jaw. He didn't know why but something about this man touching his wife was making him jealous. He also didn't like the way he said her name. Teddy had always called her Mrs. B.
Chuck decided that this session had come to an end. He cleared his throat making his presence known.
Blair's head snapped up out of position as she spied her husband's reflection in the mirror. "Chuck, you're up." She brought herself upright with the trainers help.
She crossed over to him placing a kiss to his lips. "I thought you'd sleep in a bit longer."
Chuck reached up touching her chin lightly. "And I thought I'd still find you in bed with me when I woke."
Blair's cheeks went pink. "Chuck," she whispered glancing back towards the trainer who had crossed the room to turn down the music, "we're not alone."
"I'd like to rectify that. Let's go back to bed." He slid his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. He placed a kiss to her temple. Her skin was damp from the exertion of her workout.
"I just started my cool down. I'll be up in a bit." She smiled at him.
The trainer had returned to the center of the gym just behind Chuck and Blair. Chuck stared at him as he gave Blair another kiss against her cheek.
"Where's Teddy?"
Blair took a step back out of his embrace. "I'm so sorry I've forgotten my manners. Chuck this is Robert. He's taking over for Teddy who decided to follow his lover to India. They're going to help orphans or something equally as noble. Robert, my husband Chuck Bass."
Robert came over to them holding out his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Chuck. I read that piece in Time. Quite impressive; I feel like I know you already."
Chuck paused a moment before reaching out and accepting the man's handshake. It was firm much to Chuck's dismay.
He released his grip and took a sip of his espresso. "Well, you don't and it's Mr. Bass, please."
Blair looked shocked as she stared at her husband. She had no idea what had gotten into him being so rude.
Robert gave a nod. "I didn't mean to presume anything Mr. Bass. I apologize."
Chuck gave him another look over his cup. "I'd appreciate it if you could wrap this up. I've been away and I've missed my wife terribly." With that he turned on his slippered heel and left the gym. As he crossed the threshold he heard Blair apologizing and mentioning something about him being exhausted from traveling.
He was unable to hear Robert's response.
Fifteen minutes later Blair entered the dining room. Dorota was just setting her freshly made green juice at her place.
"Thank you, Dorota." Blair slid into her seat. "May I get a glass of room temperature water as well, please?"
Dorota nodded and left to do as she was asked.
"Mom, can I go to Tommy's today? Dad said it was fine." Henry decided not to waste any time in pressing his case.
Blair took a sip of her drink. "I guess so. When did you want to go?"
"Around ten if that's okay?"
Blair glanced at Chuck. He was looking over the Wall Street Journal. She had a strong suspicion he wasn't really reading it at all. "Chuck, is that okay?"
Chuck glanced over the top of the paper. "That's fine."
Henry tossed his napkin onto the table next to his finished breakfast. "May I be excused?"
Blair nodded. "Take a shower and brush your teeth."
Henry agreed as he rushed out of the room. He crossed paths with the children's weekend nanny.
"Should I take Cordelia and Ned upstairs to get ready, Mrs. Bass?" she asked.
Blair nodded. "That would great." Blair leaned over kissing Cordelia. "I'll be up in a bit."
"Actually, Mrs. Bass and I have some things to do." Chuck closed the paper, folding it, setting it aside. "Once they're ready for the day you can walk Henry to Tommy's house and then take Cordelia and Ned to the park." He looked at the children. "You guys can feed the ducks and have ice cream at the Boat House as a treat."
Cordelia's eyes went huge. "Really, Daddy?"
Blair glanced at her husband. He never planned their days without discussing it with her first. For some reason it was annoying her. "Actually, Chuck, I was going to take-"
"You guys can go," he cut her off without looking at her.
The nanny, holding each of her charges hands in hers, wasn't sure what to do. She glanced at Blair.
Blair forced a smile as she nodded her head picking up her glass. "It's fine. Have fun."
Ned and Cordelia happily departed with the nanny already discussing what kind of ice cream and toppings they were going to have.
Blair took a sip of her drink. She could feel Chuck's eyes on her now but she purposely ignored him for a minute. Dorota entered with her water. Blair thanked her.
Dorota smiled unaware of the tension in the room. She gathered the children's and Chuck's dishes onto the serving tray. "Do you need anything else?"
Chuck sat back in his chair. "That will be all Dorota, thank you."
She left the room and Blair turned her steely gaze to him. "What if I had wanted toast?"
He scoffed. "Don't make me laugh. Carbs after an intense workout; I know you better than that." He swallowed the rest of his coffee.
"You are being quite boorish this morning and I'm not in the mood." She pushed her glass aside. "You were positively rude to Robert."
"I didn't feel like exchanging niceties with a man who two seconds earlier was groping my wife's ass. I wasn't the one being rude."
"Have you lost your mind? He wasn't groping my ass he was helping me with my form and he's very good at what he does." She pushed her chair back removing her napkin from her lap.
"You didn't see the way he was staring at your body." He clenched his jaw tightly.
"It's his job to look at my body. You are being impossible. Clearly you're exhausted." She stood up throwing the napkin down onto the seat of her chair.
"Don't treat me like one of the children." He stared at her intently.
"Then don't act like one of them." She turned from the table to leave.
"I don't want him back in my house." He stressed the word my. "You need to find a new trainer."
Blair stopped dead in her tracks turning to stare at her husband; eyebrows raised. "Your house? Are you even listening to the words that are coming out of your mouth right now?"
Chuck stood up. "I mean it, Blair."
"I refuse to discuss this any longer. You're being a chauvinistic ass right now." She turned around again to leave.
Before she could even reach the threshold Chuck was at her side. He reached out for her taking her arm in his stopping her departure. He then shut the doors to the hallway locking them. He turned to face her pulling her close.
Blair could see by the look in his eyes that his anger was quickly turning to arousal. She shook her head at him. "Let me go."
"No. Not until you agree to hire a new trainer; preferably female."
Blair flexed her hips against his growing arousal. "No and if you think for one second I'm going to have sex with you right now you really are crazy."
Chuck released the hold he had on both her upper arms and slowly moved his hands around to her back and down to her ass which was still clothed in her tight, black yoga pants. "I have no doubt you will." He heard her breath catch as he squeezed her butt cheeks none too gently.
"The only man who should be touching you like that is me." He pulled her completely flush with himself. "Hire a new trainer." His hands were now under her tee shirt and sliding into the back of her pants.
"No," she panted softly.
Without any preamble whatsoever Chuck picked her up and walked her back to the table. He kicked the chair out of the way before setting her on the edge.
"Yes," he started to pull her pants down.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and breathed a whispered, "No," against his lips.
He pulled her sneakers off tossing them aside before removing her pants from her body. He freed himself and pushed into her in one deep, hard thrust. He didn't move an inch. He stayed that way buried completely inside her.
His lips kissed a trail along her neck to her throat where he could feel her pulse beating frantically. He kissed the spot before licking a path to her ear. Her skin tasted slightly salty. He huskily breathed, "Yes," before biting down on her earlobe.
Blair needed him to move and in that moment knew she had lost this temporary battle. Besides people say all kinds of things in the throes of lovemaking and no one held them to it.
She wrapped her legs around his waist kissing him deeply before moaning, "Yes."
Chuck smirked against her lips before kissing them lightly. He then pulled back almost completely before pushing back in to the hilt. Blair's soft whimper was all the encouragement he needed. He would win this war one way or another.
The rest of their weekend was spent in harmony. They went out Saturday night and had brunch with the entire family at Lily's Sunday morning before spending the day at the Met.
By the time Monday afternoon had rolled around Chuck had all but forgotten his and Blair's spat. He usually tried to get home most Monday's by noon. Ned was in preschool and Monday's were half days. He enjoyed the one on one time with his youngest. It was rare that they had alone time with just him.
It was pouring down rain and he found Ned curled up on the couch in the library reading books with his nanny, Susanne.
As he entered the room Ned immediately forgot his book and ran to his father. "Daddy, you missed lunch."
Chuck picked him up giving him a hug. "I'm sorry buddy. My meeting ran a little long." He looked over at Susanne. "Is Blair here?"
Susanne nodded closing the book. "Yes. She was running late so she just started her workout."
Chuck narrowed his eyes and thought for a second. "She found a new trainer awfully quick."
Susanne's forehead wrinkled in confusion. "Teddy recommended Robert before he left. There wasn't any search at all." She stood up placing the now forgotten book onto the ottoman. "He came highly recommended and he's easy on the eyes, that's for sure." She smiled at Chuck.
Chuck annoyed set Ned on his feet. "Really, Susanne?"
She shrugged as she crossed the room bending over hugging Ned. "If you need me I'll be upstairs."
Chuck watched her leave the room. Ned started jumping up and down clearly excited to have his father home as well as having a lot of pent up energy having been stuck indoors all day. Chuck looked down at him and immediately had a great ide.
"Hey, Neddie, would you like to go workout with Mommy? You can run around down there and even use the machines."
Ned nodded his head vigorously. "Yes!"
Chuck ruffled his hair and took his hand leading him out of the library. Once in the hall Ned took off for the stairs leading to the lower floor and the gym. Chuck smiled to himself as he headed to his office. Ned would serve as the perfect distraction. If there was one thing that child did well it was demand attention.
An hour later Chuck, coming out of his office, was greeted by the squeals of his son. He could tell it was coming from the main foyer. He headed down the hall and around the corner where he could see Ned doing some karate kick thing or another.
Robert smiling at the four year old reached down and gave him a high five. "The force is strong in you, young Jedi."
Ned beamed up at the man. Chuck felt his shoulders tense when he saw Blair laugh as she put an arm around Ned and pulled him tightly against herself.
"I'll see you Thursday, Blair; great workout today." Robert put his hand on the doorknob.
"What about me? Did I do good?" Ned stared up at him with a serious look on his face.
"You were outstanding, Ned."
"It's well, Ned. Did I do well? Not good." Chuck stepped onto the marble floor and crossed over to the three of them.
Robert smiled. "Hello, Mr. Bass."
Chuck forced a smile of his own. "Hello…Robert was it?"
Robert nodded. "Yes sir."
Ned turned to Chuck. "Daddy, I did Jedi training."
Chuck sighed as he took in the look of pure joy on his son's face. "That's great, Ned."
"Well, I should get going. See you all next time." Robert pulled the door open and left.
Blair turned to her husband. "Nice try." She turned from him and headed up the stairs.
Chuck followed her backside as she made her way up. Ned was continuing to gush about his training.
Chuck looked down at him with a narrowed gaze. "Traitor," he mumbled. He reached down picking him up and taking him to the kitchen for a snack.
Even his own flesh and blood had turned against him. He couldn't win.
So Chuck decided that if you couldn't beat them you should join them. He was up and ready Thursday morning so he could do just that.
Blair looked at him in shock when he entered the gym wearing a pair of sweats she didn't even know he owned.
Chuck kissed her softly on the cheek before turning to Robert. "You wouldn't object to training me as well? Of course we'll double your fee."
Robert shook his head. "Of course not. I'd love for you to join us."
An hour later and Chuck was regretting his decision. There wasn't a muscle that didn't hurt. Plus he was sweating and not in the hot post-sex kind of way he preferred.
Blair laughed softly at him as they made their way upstairs. He stopped on the second landing glancing at her over his shoulder. "What are you laughing at?"
"You; doing a strenuous workout just to prove a point."
He turned to face her slightly wincing in pain. "I wasn't proving anything. I need to stay in shape."
She eyed him for a second. "This from the guy who says the only cardio he does is in bed." She wrapped an arm around his waist and squeezed.
"Ow, that hurts. And not just bed. I believe we've had quite a few good cardio sessions in my office, the limo, your office…ow," he winced again.
She shook her head as she helped him up the stairs. She was actually feeling a bit sorry for him.
Once in their room she drew him a hot bath, helping him in before settling herself behind him. She rubbed her hands up and down his aching arms before wrapping them around him.
Chuck sighed resting his head back against her shoulder. "This feels so good."
She kissed his temple. "I love you and your stubbornness."
Chuck sighed closing his eyes. "I love you more and I am not stubborn."
She laughed softly as she settled her head back against the bath pillow attached to the edge of the marble tub. "So stubborn but I love you in spite of it." She brought her legs up along his.
"I don't think I'm going to be able to get up out of this tub," he sighed.
"Well if you want to make love to me you'll have to," she whispered against his ear.
He opened his eyes, tilting his head to look at her face. "In that case I'll be getting out even if it means crawling on all fours." And ten minutes later he did just that and made love to her thoroughly in spite of his aching muscles.
A month later and Chuck had completely abandoned the three times a week workout schedule. He trusted his wife and exercise just wasn't Chuck Bass's thing.
He entered the house through the front door and was greeted by all three children running down the hall and into the foyer screaming and laughing.
Cordelia was dressed in a beautiful deep red sari and Ned was clutching a stuffed elephant. Henry brought up the rear waving a replica of what looked like a Talwar sword. It had an ornately jeweled handle.
Ned ran to his father clutching Chuck's legs. "Save me, Daddy."
Chuck tossed his briefcase onto the floor and picked up Ned and his elephant. Henry slid to stop in his sock covered feet. Cordelia had run behind Chuck.
"What is going on? Have I entered into the Battle of Panipat?" He kissed Ned's cheek.
Cordelia looking around and up at Chuck said, "Teddy's back! He gave us presents." She pointed at her brother accusingly. "Henry said he was going to chop our heads off." She then giggled.
Chuck looked down at his oldest. "That doesn't sound very nice."
"I'm a conquering sultan and I will show no mercy."
Cordelia screamed and hid behind her father again. Chuck laughed. It was nice to see his son having fun and being a proper child. He reached behind him with his free hand and brought Cordelia to his side.
"No worries, Cor, Daddy happens to have a very good army and we are well fortified." He reached out and grabbed the sword from an unsuspecting Henry. "There we go. He is disarmed and defeated." He put Ned down.
Henry glared at him dramatically. "I will be back to destroy you."
Chuck nodded. "I look forward to the battle."
Henry started towards the stairs. "I suggest you prepare well."
Cordelia looked between her father and brother before turning to Chuck, taking his hand and pulling him down the hall. "Come on, Daddy, we need to build up a big fortess."
"Fortress, Cor." He took Ned's hand and they all went to the playroom.
Blair found them there a short time later in the midst of building a huge wall out of blocks. She loved watching Chuck play with the children. He always looked so at peace. He had removed his jacket and tie and had rolled up the sleeves of his dress shirt. His hair was mussed from what she imagined were his hands running through it multiple times.
Suddenly Cordelia spied her. "Mommy, come inside the fortress," she it correctly this time. "The mean sultan is going to be here any minute."
Blair crossed the room and stepped over the wall sitting down next to her husband. She could feel his eyes on her as she took a sip of her water. She turned to smile at him.
"You're home early tonight." She leaned forward kissing his lips softly.
"I am. I heard Teddy's back."
"Of course. It was only a six week trip. Didn't I mention that?"
Chuck shook his head. "No you didn't."
"Teddy would never survive being away from Barneys and his daily coffee at Sant Ambroeus for longer than that. Robert was temporary." She leaned her head against his shoulder.
"You let me believe it was permanent on purpose didn't you?"
She lifted her head giving him a small smile. She leaned in close to him and whispered. "You were acting like a boor and deserved the deception; besides the sex is always great when you're jealous."
He put an arm around her and pulled her even closer. "Don't insult me. The sex is always great no matter what." He began to kiss her.
She deepened it as she lifted her free hand to cup his cheek.
Chuck suddenly pulled back from her and stood up. He took her hand and helped her to her feet before turning to the kids.
"Mommy and I will be back in a little bit. If you need anything Dorota's in the kitchen." He and Blair left the playroom quickly and headed upstairs.
Their marriage was one of give and take and he was more than happy to concede once in a while. Besides he was already the winner; he had the most beautiful and perfect family in the world. No one could beat Chuck Bass when it came to that.
