Andy was restless all night. She was nervous to be facing someone of which she only spoke to for all of 10 minutes. She was happy that she didn't have a job or anything to look forward to in the morning because she would definitely not have the energy for it.
She was ready to take the call but she was always hesitant. She began to think of all the bad effects of meeting people online and all the crazy news stories. She sat up in her bed and stared at her phone screen until she decided that sleep was no longer happening.
She went into the shower and took a long steamy shower. When she was done she wrapped a big towel around her and stood in front of her mirror and she braided her hair into two ponytails.
Andy was quickly interrupted when she heard her laptop ringing. She knew that she was expecting a call but not this fast she immediately ran over to it and answered it. She then turned off the camera to avoid showing herself undress.
"Hello" he said through the screen noticing her side was pitch black.
"Umm hi I'm not dressed well that sounds incorrect but um I'm coming" she said running around her room frantically as if she didn't know where everything was. She quickly got dressed in a tank top and some shorts and sat on her bed.
"I'm here now" she said turning back on her camera and immediately noticing that this man was actually the same man from his profile picture.
"Oh I didn't mean to interrupt you I'm sorry if I did" he said nervously.
"Your fine I mean we didn't really put an exact time to it" she said smiling at him.
"What have you done today?" she asked knowing that he probably wasn't going to tell her but she knew that she had to start the conversation somewhere.
"Well I ate a terrible breakfast and dinner, lunch wasn't that bad and I went to work like I told you and now I'm in my room talking with your gorgeous face" he said smiling at her.
"I see your not wearing a shirt, is it hot where you live?" she asked hoping he wouldn't pick up on her staring deeply at his muscles through the screen.
"I mean I'm not wearing shorts either but you can't see that and that's mainly because that's how I go to sleep" he said looking at her.
"Are you always this open with everyone you meet?" she asked noticing how smiley and happy he was.
"No but you think I don't see you staring at me" he said laughing looking at her surprised face.
"Sorry I was just thinking about something" she said laying through her teeth embarrassed that she was actually caught.
"It's fine don't worry. I want to show you something that could potentially give away the place I am in but only if you want to see it" he said.
"Sure if your willing to show me I'll gladly accept it" she said getting slightly intrigued as to what he was about to show her.
"I'll be right back, dont go anywhere" he said turning off his camera and going into his suitcase to pull out the small toy airplane and an army figure toy. When he got it he then went back on his bed and turned on the camera.
"Sorry I had to turn it off for a second but here is your two clues. As stated before I am pretty sure I can't give my location away but that doesn't mean you can't guess it" he said showing her the two small figures.
Andy looked at the camera screen and she knew exactly what the objects where but she couldn't quite put them together. She looked at them drawing ideas into her head for about two minutes when she finally thought of an answer.
"Did you fly from somewhere to be in the army?" she asked confused
"Your a very smart problem solver and yes.I'm sorry I can't give any details to you but yes your correct" he said.
"Will you ever leave that country when your finished?" she asked intrigued to know his answer.
"Yes I actually lived in Montana before coming to Germany but I don't think I'll go back specially to Montana maybe a different state" he responded.
"Come to Seattle its pretty nice out here" she said happily.
"Why is that where you live?" he asked in a low seductive tone.
"Yes it is. I've lived here forever and I'll probably never move seeing that my dad and my best friend is all in this state" she said.
"How do you feel about long distance relationships for the next 6 months if you wanted it?" he asked hoping she would answer and not stir away from the question.
"I hate it. I mean I haven't been in much relationships before so I don't know if I could if it was to happen but I know I'll hate it" she said.
"So then we can't do this" he said nervously
"Was this your way of asking me out?" she said laughing at his dry flirty ways.
"Yes and No. I mean I think your beautiful and sweet and yes we've only spoke to each other for the past 24 hours on and off. You feel different like a good different and I wouldn't mind if you were" he said smiling.
"Well I think your pretty attractive yourself and you seem really nice and funny so I wouldn't mind going wherever this is going. One thing I ask however is we take it cautious and slow" she said looking at him.
"I respect that if that's what you want we'll take it there" he said.
"This may be a long shot but when can I exactly see you like in person" she said nervously.
"Well my crew and I have a week long break next week and we're all going somewhere different and I planned to go to Spain and after that it's my only break" he responded watching as she went into a thinking look. He wondered what her response would be seeing that she was so focused.
"Are you going to be alone?" she asked
"Yes I picked that place specifically for that reason everything is booked for me and all I have to do is take a somewhat short plane ride over there and I'm done" he responded.
"So since that's your only trip you get can I potentially go so I can see you" she said.
"I mean your flight will be a longer than mines and I would hate to make you do something you wouldn't want to do but if you want to come I'll make space" he said noticing how she went blank.
"I used to work during college and my dad is a firefighter and he gets payed pretty well and actually don't mind me or what I just said I'll book a flight and I'll see you for 2 days" she said
"The hotel room I booked has two different beds and a very large bathroom you can stay the whole week with me" he said.
"I wouldn't want to invade your vacation like that though Robert" she said smiling at his happiness.
"You won't invade anything I promise. I'll respect your space and when you want to shower or change I'll step outside and I don't really care about me but I'll respect you and trust me you don't really know me but I promise I won't do anything to you." he said looking into her eyes watching as she smiled at him.
"Robert I'm learning a lot about you tonight and I guess I'm loving it" she said laughing.
"I'm sorry if I'm corny but all my relationships have been slightly bad and I've had a few hookups but I don't want that with you I want this to be real like it is now" he said smiling.
"Robert your fine I'm just saying your a really nice guy and I'll take you up on the offer" she said.
"So where seeing each other next week then" he said.
"Yes send me the information now and I'll buy my ticket" she said looking at her phone.
"I sent it" he said.
Andy then pulled up the information from the text and she went and bought a ticket to the specific airport that was close to the hotel.
She was still slightly nervous but nowhere near how nervous she was before the call. She was excited hat she was going to Spain and even more excited she was going to see the gorgeous hopeless romantic that she had just snatched up.
"Pack nice ok because I want us to take pictures so I can frame it and put it beside my bed" he said laughing at his stupid comment that he just realized he said out loud.
"How nice sexy nice or casual nice" she said steaming the conversation up a bit which caught Robert off guard.
"I mean I'll take both I'm not a picky person" he said winking at her.
"So what your really saying is sexy in the room and casual on the beach while the people stop and take a quick picture of us being all romantic" she said.
"Well you look like a person who plays hard to get so I know there will be a lot of teasing" he said looking at her.
"Well usually I'm not a sex on the first date type of girl or sleep in the same bed on the first date type of girl but who knows I have to see you first" she said smiling at the way he was looking.
"If I do say so myself I'm pretty good" he said.
"One day and I mean one day you may just have to prove it to me" she replied.
"At the airport since I'll land first and your landing at night you'll be surprised" he said.
"How surprised?" she asked wanting to know what he was planning.
"It's nothing bad it has to do with me everyone is always genuinely surprised at this factor and I know you'll be too" he said.
"Before I let you go what are we?" she asked.
"Stop asking that and just enjoy the adventures I have in store for us" he said.
"This is going to drive me crazy but ok fine. I can't wait to meet you and I hope you have a good night" she said blowing him a kiss.
"I'll call you later to check up on you like always have a good day" he said blowing her a kiss back and ending the call.
Andy was excited she knew she wanted to go somewhere soon but she don't know it would be this soon. Andy quickly went into her closet and pulled out a medium black suitcase. She knew that half of the week was already spent and that she would be leaving in roughly 3 days so she knew she had to pack now or she'll probably end up leaving something.
She went through her closet and picked three of her nice formal outfits and she layed them on her bed. She then grabbed her toiletry bag and her travel makeup bag and placed it inside the suitcase. She then took out all her outfits and layed them on the bed and she then began folding them to fit inside the suitcase.
Andy then got to a small drawer in her bathroom in which she kept her items that she wanted to be unseen by anyone. She decided to bring both a black and navy blue lingerie set in case of emergencies.
She decided to go lighter on shoes since she didn't know exactly what they would be doing so she settled for a pair of clear heals and 2 pairs of sandals.
Within an hour Andy had most of her luggage packed and ready. She was actually very surprised with herself seeing she was able to pull it off this fast.
She then realized that she would have to tell both her dad and Ryan that she would be away for a week and she knew that she definitely couldn't tell her dad it was with a boy. Even though Andy knew she was full on grown she still hated the lectures he would give still to this day sometimes about human life.
{Roberts POV}
After their first video call Robert could tell that Andy was really excited. He noticed how her nervousness quickly subsided and she smiled a lot more.
He knew that he had to make this trip a special one seeing as she is flying a long way to him. He didn't know exactly what he was planning on doing but he did decide to just go with the flow.
Since Robert never really gets down time he decided to pack his suitcase. He knew that he didn't bring everything over so he was pretty limited on options but nevertheless he managed to find stuff and he was able to complete packing.
He was very happy for himself and he knew that he couldn't mess up this next great thing in his life.
Robert still talked to Lucas occasionally about life and the two different places they were in but he never actually told him about Andy.
He decided since it was a two person thing he would ask her when he saw her is he could tell people. He wanted to respect all of her wishes and made sure she felt comfortable with him.
He knew that this was going to be the start of something new in his life.
