It had finally come to be the day before Andys long awaited trip. She had kept it a secret from the time she found out to now. She has been ready to go the minute she purchased her plane ticket.
Andy was very happy and excited and she knew that she was showing it a little too much because both her dad and Ryan had picked up on it. She however kept telling them that she was just finding her happiness and loving herself even more.
Robert had been working almost everyday and at every moment he got he would call and talk to Andy for as long as he could. They would laugh and tell each other jokes till their stomach ached in pain.
Robert was happy. He was finally finding the happy part of his life and getting back into the real world. He was happy that soon and very soon he would be meeting the girl he fell in love with over a screen.
There connection was vibrant and open. They both felt connected like they've been friends for a lifetime. They knew that they both where falling in love in their own heads but little did they know they both felt the same way.
{Present Day} -3PM-
Andy decided to meet up with both her dad and Ryan over a quick lunch to tell them of her plans.
She knew that she wasn't going to give away every detail and she only hoped they wouldn't be too mad she never told them much sooner.
"So I brought you two here to say something" she said nervously watching how they looked up from their plates and looked into her eyes.
"Say it Andy" Ryan replied anxious to suddenly know what had kept Andy looking so scared.
"I am going to Spain tomorrow for a week" she said avoiding eye contact with them.
"Spain as in the place that is hours away and in a complete different continent" her dad replied in a slightly harsher tone not believing the words that came out of his daughters mouth.
"Wait alone?" Ryan asked who suddenly became nervous with the fact of her being alone in a different place and with no protection.
"I'll be fine guys;I promise. This is something I've been needing and since I'm finally applying to the academy when I return this is like my last trip for a while" she responded trying to give reasons to the two very unhappy men that sat in front of her.
"What time is the flight?" her father asked in a more still tone.
"5AM" she said
"I'll call as soon as I land and I'll check in daily and I promise I'll be safe. Andy isn't a baby anymore and she isn't glass that's awaiting to break. I appreciate you for worrying but don't let that be the only thing you two do all week" she said lifting the silence that filled the table.
"I'm happy Andy even though I am slightly worried I'm glad your getting out just don't forget to bring your best friend back something nice" he said laughing.
"Of course I will Ry" she said smiling at him.
"Andy your my only child and so all I ask is you please come back to me" he said holding her hand tightly.
"I'll always come back to you" she said kissing his hand that sat on top of hers.
"Well this is a wrap I guess. I have to get back home to get some things sorted so you guys can finish here" she said going to each give them a hug goodbye.
"See you in a week" Ryan said.
"I love you Andrea" Pruitt said kissing her cheek softly not showing any hint of anxiousness in his tone of voice.
"Goodbye" she said waving back at them before leaving the restaurant.
{Roberts POV}
He had just been dismissed for dinner and he was finally done working. He decided to eat lasagna and a side salad with a bottle of water to drink.
He first changed into comfortable clothing and he sat at his table and began to think about how in a couple of hours the butterflies he felt in his stomach would soon be gone and he would finally connect with the one person who had changed him over the last 2 weeks.
Robert knew that Lucas was picking something up due to him not answering his late night calls or even some messages but he would always play it off as he was sleeping or training with his team.
{Andys POV}
Andy went home and decided to take a nap due to the fact she had been reading books and getting a head start on workouts for when she came back to start training.
She knew that in order to do the job she wanted she had to be fit. She knew that she was fit already but she wanted to get in tone with her body and keep herself active so she would be able to perform well.
After two hours she finally woke up and went into her kitchen to warm up some food she had in her fridge from leftovers. She then grabbed herself a cup of iced lemonade and sat at her table.
She then noticed she missed a couple of text messages from Robert saying he was excited to meet her and that he couldn't wait to pick her up from the airport.
After Andy finished eating she cleaned everything up and decided to catch up on some shows she had fell behind on before she went to go get ready.
Andy hated being late to almost everything. She always had a plan sketched out in her mind and she would always try to stick with it to avoid any mishaps.
It was now nearing the time before she had to leave to the airport so she went and took a shower. She had thought of endless outfits to wear but she thought they were all too classy for the plane. She ended up deciding to wear a black sweatshirt with a pair of black leggings. She decided to also wear her hair out and pair it with gold hoop earrings.
Andy then called a taxi and she placed on her sneakers and grabbed her backpack and luggage and waited for her ride outside.
It was a crisp cool night in Seattle just like it was most of the time and although she never went outside much during the night she kind of loved the feeling of the wind against her face.
While she was getting ready she had told Robert that she was on her way to the airport and that she'll see him in a few hours. She knew that he was also on his way there but he would reach way before her.
After waiting for about 15 minutes her ride had came and she told the driver exactly were she was needing to be dropped off from. She sat in the car and watched the city buildings light up the dark night. She watched as cars past her and noticing she was nearing the airport.
She got out and did the usual airport things. She checked in all her bags and went through security. She then found her gate and realized it wasn't that long of a wait time so she decided to just listen to music on her phone and wait for the calling.
{Roberts POV}
Robert looked at the time on his phone and he saw that it was time for him to leave to the airport. He dressed himself in comfortable clothes and made the ride down to the Airport.
When he arrived he quickly checked in and within 15 minutes his plane call for boarding. He got on the plane and within 2 hours he landed in Spain.
He then got off the plane and went to retrieve his luggage. He then called a taxi which took him to the hotel in which he booked two weeks prior. It had a very elegant setting in the main entrance and everything was nice and clean.
Robert then checked in and went up to the room in which they would be sharing. He quickly changed his clothes into something more attractive and decided to do a little shopping around in the small area stores beside the hotel while he waited for Andy.
{Andys POV}
Andy had boarded her plane and to her surprise she had a seat by herself. It was an international trip so she was grateful that she had her own section to be able to relax in unbothered.
She flew on that plane for 8 hours and was then put on a layover for an hour. After the hour was ended she boarded her second and last plane of which she flew for 5 hours.
She was tired off being on the plane for so long but she was even more happy with the fact that she had finally made it to her destination. As she stepped off the plane she could feel the warm breeze against her and she was happy that she was vacationing here for the week.
Andy then grabbed her luggage and went into the bathroom to fix herself up. She reapplied her makeup and brushed her hair back out. She then sprayed more perfume on and went outside to her ride.
She had texted Robert that she would be landing in 30 minutes and that incase he wasn't there by then she would wait outside for him.
As she looked around the outside of the airport she saw a lot of people loading and unloading cars and coming in and out of the airport's entrance. What she didn't realize was the tall handsome man that stood off a couple feet in the distance.
She knew his face all too well she had studied what he looked like from their very first video call to their recently last one. She knew that the man that had stood there was Robert. He didn't notice her but she noticed him and she was grateful for that because butterflies took over her stomach. She didn't know why all of a sudden she just wanted to quickly fly back to Seattle and pretend she was in a dream when she clearly knew she wasn't dreaming but the man that stood their was definitely not all what she was expecting.
Robert then looked up as some of the traffic moved out and then it him. There was his Andy standing there looking oh so beautiful watching the families walk in and out. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of her,his very first look at that.
He decided not to keep her waiting and he quickly went over to her and stood beside her.
"Hi beautiful" he said in a slight whisper in which he took notice that it made her flinch.
"Hi Robert" she said smiling still avoiding to make eye contact with him. She could feel his warm presence beside her but she was uncertain with the next step.
"Your even more gorgeous in person" he said kissing her cheek. He then moved to stand in front of her and he gave her a hug. It was simply just a hug that showed that he was happy to see her but he still wanted to respect her.
"Your very tall but of course still handsome yourself" she said laughing. She couldn't help but notice the outfit of choice he wore to come get her. She knew that he must've changed before he came but she wasn't going to tell him anything at least not now.
"I'll take these for you" he said taking her luggage in his hand and they began to walk down the sidewalk to the driver.
"How was your flight?" she asked him noticing how they both sat in the car silently.
"It wasn't too bad and how about yours?" he asked smiling at her.
"Long but it was fine" she said twirling the bracelet around her wrist in a slow motion which didn't go unnoticed by Robert.
"That bracelet is pretty" he stated watching her play with it on her hand. He knew that she was nervous based on her actions which were completely different from their calls but he hoped she would eventually open up to him sometime during the trip.
"Ohh uh ya it's a friendship bracelet I have that matches with my friend back in my home state" she said zoning back in to the conversation.
"That's nice" he responded not asking any further questions.
They both sat in silence the whole ride over to the hotel just taking in the scenery of the place as they drove along. Robert wasn't nervous anymore but Andy still was unsure with her feelings as to why she was grateful he stopped talking.
After what felt like the longest drive in history they finally made it to the hotel and Robert led her up to the room in which she didn't know what it looked like.
"We're sharing a room but don't worry there's two separate beds" he said nervously before opening the door.
"It's fine don't worry about that" she said laughing at how nervous his face got.
"There's also a surprise in here for you" he said looking at her watching as she began to get intrigued to know.
"Well let's go inside" she said.
Robert had thought of a lot of ideas to make this trip worth it. He knew that they weren't exactly a couple yet but he knew that by sometime during the week he had planned to ask her the first big question that comes at the start of every relationship.
He decided to go simple but also classy romantic. He went out and bought her a necklace which had a diamond "A" on it and he also bought colorful flowers and wrote out two detailed cards in which he specified that one be open right then and there and the other be open the minute their trip was ending.
"Here's our room" he said opening it and allowing her to walk in first. As soon as she walked in she was happy to see the view they had and to also see that even though Robert had come in before her he kept everything cleaned.
"Really Robert" she said noticing the small things on what she assumed to be her bed.
"Yes first open the small box and then open the card that has the number one" he said moving her luggage into the room and going to stand beside her.
Andy was surprised that he even thought to gift her something and that he did all of this just for her. She had noticed that this man was truly a gentleman and he was definitely a person she wanted to see her future with.
"It's beautiful I really like it" she said opening the box to the silver lined jewelry. She then looked at him and gave him a kiss on his cheek before opening the card.
She opened it and immediately noticed the covering and how it said "My future" she decided not to say anything about it and began reading it in her head.
"To Andy: I am glad you took me on this offer and came with me on this trip. I hope your ready for the things I have planned for us and I hope that before we leave we'll be closer than we came. Tonight join me for dinner and let's get to know each other."
After reading the card she laughed at it and placed it back in its envelope. She loved how simple yet cute it was and how romantic he was being to her. She never knew that he planned things for them to do but she was just as excited to find out.
"Thank you for everything and yes I'll join you for dinner" she said holding his hand and looking into his eyes.
"The next card you'll open it before we leave and that's if we do everything I have planned and it actually works" he said taking the card and putting it back into his suitcase.
Andy then quickly texted both Ryan and Pruitt that she had made it safely and that she was fine. She also told them not to worry and that she'll call and send pictures soon.
She then decided to pick out an outfit for the dinner that Robert had planned. She took out two dresses and asked him to choose one. He ended up choosing the burgundy dress which was long and flowly and it left out a little cleavage.
He then decided to go into the shower while Andy was getting her clothes ready. She matched up everything she needed and waited for him to come out of the shower.
She watched as he walked out the bathroom in nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist and she couldn't help but notice his muscles and curves that sat nicely on his chest. She smiled at him as he sat on his bed and she went in to shower next.
"I hope you at least don't mind if I use this sink" he said watching as she washed her face in the other. "Your fine Robert" she said drying her face off in the soft towel. Andy then left the bathroom to put on some parts to her clothing before going back to do her hair and makeup.
"Now I hope you don't mind a girl in shorts and a bra" she said laughing watching as he fixed his clothing in the mirror. "If your comfortable with me being in here and you looking like that then I'm fine" he responded.
Robert then left the bathroom to get his shoes on and Andy quickly finished in the bathroom and went to put her dress her on. She then applied her jewelry and heels and then cleaned up her side.
"You look nice" he said smiling at her. "Don't look at me like that Robert" she said brushing her hand against his chest.
"You smell amazing let's just hope you make it back here with me and in your bed and not in someone else's" she said whispering. "This trip is for Robert and Andy and so you better be sure I'm going to fall asleep in the bed thats sitting besides yours" he responded.
He was amazed at how she looked in the outfit. The color of her dress complemented her skin well and her chest peeked out perfectly enough to show a little extra spice. Robert was falling in love at every minute as he stared at her and he couldn't help himself.
"Let's get to that dinner shall we" she said grabbing his hand softly. She knew that he was walking on egg shells from the time she arrived and she knew that he wasn't going to say anything his mind was thinking due to the fact he was making sure she was comfortable and not wanting to come off weird.
Andy knew that if she didn't do what she was about to do he would be distant at dinner and that wasn't something she wanted. She wanted him to speak freely and to open up to her just a little more.
"Don't be scared of me Robert I appreciate you for taking your time with me and not wanting to rip off my clothes and have your way immediately but I know something is wrong and at dinner I really want to talk so can you loosen up a little for me. Please" she asked pulling her face to his and giving him a soft kiss on his lips.
"Andy I'm sorry I'm really trying to make this right" he said slightly embarrassed that she caught on to his nervousness.
"Your doing perfect already you make me feel loved and that's the best part,just act natural and I promise you'll feel much better" she said smiling.
"That kiss by the way can't be our first kiss" he said laughing.
"It's not,our first kiss is going to be better and it's going to be done by you in surprise for me" she said playfully hitting him.
"You'll be surprised but on another note we have a dinner to attend which doesn't lead to us standing in our room" he said opening the door.
They made their way out to the driver who then took them to a restaurant of which was by the water. It wasn't quite night time just yet but it was definitely sunset and so they decided to take pictures. They took funny cute ones and then serious ones where they could potentially frame and keep.
{At Dinner}
"So I know your name and basic information but now I want to know something you didn't tell me before" he said taking a sip of his water and looking at her.
"Well after I leave here I'm going into the fire academy where I'll train for about a month or two and then I'll be a firefighter" she responded.
"Mmm so your not afraid of fire I'll keep that noted" he said winking at her.
"How long are you in Germany for?" she asked hoping he will respond.
"1 and half more months before I complete what I'm doing" he said.
"Where are you going after?" she asked interested to know.
"Maybe where my best friend is but if your also asking for you I'll leave that a surprise" he said rubbing his thumb over her hand noticing how she was tense.
"I like our connection and I know we are new but I want you to know that I'm not trying to lose you just yet" she said in honesty.
"Then that makes our feelings mutual so please stay safe for me" he said kissing her hand.
They sat eating their meal and sipping their wine together. They talked about their childhood and different memories they remembered of themselves growing up and what they wanted for themselves in the future.
Robert then paid for their meals in which Andy wasn't happy about but he insisted on it and they made the drive back to the hotel for the night.
"Don't tell me your going to bed now" she said laughing watching as he sat on his bed.
"I'm not I'm just tired and very full" he responded to her comment.
"I'll change first and you can change in here" she said grabbing her clothes and moving into the bathroom.
Robert then removed his shirt and his pants and placed them on the counter neatly and he got into his bed.
Andy went and she did her usual nighttime routine and she changed into
an oversized t-shirt before cleaning everything up and going back into the room.
"Another thing to note is that you take a long time to change" he said noticing the time on phone.
"Mmm ya get used to it" she said going into her bed.
Robert then went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth and washed his face and went back into his bed.
"Even though we're not in the same bed a goodnight of some sort would be nice" she said laughing knowing that he would take great offense to her comment.
"How about you come to me and then I'll tell you" he said. Andy picked up on the fact of why he wasn't leaving the bed due to the fact she remembered he sleeps in only boxers.
"I'm not scared of you Robert and so I want you to come tell me" she said in a whisper tone.
Robert then decided to turn the lights off and walk over to her bed which wasn't far from his.
"Goodnight gorgeous I have a very fun day planned for tomorrow" he said kissing her cheek. Andy being the funny person that she is turned quickly around and turned on the lights which caused him to jump in fear.
"Goodnight" she said laughing. "Andy I turned them off for a reason" he said grabbing a pillow to cover himself as if he had just been caught naked.
"Robert go to bed it's just underwear it's not like your going to not find a way into mines by the end of this trip" she said looking him in the eyes. "Andy that's not something in my plan" he responded playfully throwing the pillow back at her.
"Just know Andy is always right" she said leaning up to kiss him. "You've got to stop giving me these small kisses" he said wiping it off.
Andy noticed how he wiped it off and so she decided to grab his face down to hers and began to passionately make out with him interlacing their tongues together.
"Don't ever underestimate Andy" she said snuggling back into her bed.
"Tomorrow is Roberts payback and you'll hate me for it especially when it's going to only be our second day" he said turning back off the lights and getting his own bed.
"See you in the morning, beautiful" he said in a whisper.
"See you then" she responded
