"Stupid alarm clocks and stupid blow dryers" Andy mumbled to herself coming into the station with only 5 minutes to spare before her shift started.

She usually liked coming in about a good 15 minutes before so she could get settled in and have a couple minutes of quietness before the old shift leaves and "A" shift comes in.

"Herrera" Robert shouted noticing Andy walking quickly pass his office.

Andy stopped and took in a deep breath,

silently wishing he would've just let her go on about her way instead of having her retreat back to him.

"Good Morning Captain Sullivan" she said with a smile.

"Andy"

They looked at each other for a couple of seconds before Andy closed the door and placed her overnight bag on the floor and sat across from him in the chair provided at the front of his desk.

"Your technically right on time but it's pretty late for you. Want to explain why Leuitnant?"

"I somewhat overslept in a way;you know it's raining outside and the noise is like an add on sense of comfort and then when i eventually got up it was maybe 15 minutes after my alarm clock went off so I had to rush and get ready." she stated looking up at him to see he's smiling at her holding in a laugh knowing she had bad habits of taking forever to wake up and start her days.

"It's not funny and if you don't have nothing to say Captain could you please dismiss me?"

"Oh not so soon Herrera. I know you love hearing and seeing the rain and I know just how much you want to cuddle up in your blanket at home drinking that infamous tea you love" he said slowly watching how his smooth tone of voice made her blush.

"Stop being a flirt Sullivan and besides I don't want to do any of that if it doesn't involve a particular somebody in preferably their birthday suit cuddled up with me." She said winking up at him.

Andy watched how he closed his eyes taking in her words and she quickly looked behind her out the door and leaned over the desk and gave him a quick kiss.

"Andy stop we have to be professional." Robert said quickly getting back into Captain mode.

"Just giving my fiancé his morning kiss and since we're getting nowhere in this office,I would like to leave seeing I have business to attend to myself" she said smiling and getting up and grabbing her bag to walk out the office and down to the locker rooms.

Andy quickly got there silently thankful that the team was now far gone from out of this room. She quickly put on her work shoes and applied some chapstick to her lips and brushed her hair back into a slick ponytail and closed up her locker.

"Morning Herrera" Dean said coming out the shower room with a bucket of cleaning supplies clearing indicating that this was his chore for the morning.

"Oh Miller you definitely just scared me but Good morning to you as well" she said smiling and walking out and up to the beanery.

"Herrera is finally in the house" Vic stated clapping.

Andy looked over at her and Travis sitting there and said good morning to them and went to fix herself a cup of coffee and to grab a granola bar.

"You seem a little moody but I can't put on a finger on if it's a good or bad one?" Travis said examining Andys body language as she sat across from him.

"It's raining out and while I love my job to pieces all I want to do is relax at home and watch movies and eat salty buttery popcorn" she said taking a bite out of her granola bar.

"Ohhhh you totally just made my brain go off into thinking about my fluffy gray blanket and my favorite bottle of wine that's sitting all alone right now. Uhh Herrera why must you do this?" Vic said groaning and leaning her head against the table.

"We better get started on chores before Sullivan comes with his not so gentle raft and before I forget to tell you I brought dessert in for later on after some calls"

Travis' face immediately lit up and he quickly ran and opened up the fridge to see the chocolatey brownie dessert and he instantly hugged Andy and thanked her. Vic already knew about the dessert so she simply gave Andy a smile and walked out. Andy finished her morning pick up snack and soon went to help Vic and Travis wash down the trucks.

"Andrea" Pruitt called out walking into the main area.

Andy quickly stopped what she was doing and went to meet her dad. She noticed how calm he looked which usually was a good sign.

"Hi dad"

"Hi Andrea I'm just stopping bye because I haven't seen you very much lately and I was just making sure my only child isn't dead or you know injured secretly" He responded looking up at her.

"I've been quite busy the past couple of days and I was actually coming over to see you tomorrow morning to catch up seeing that today I'm on shift" Andy said holding her hands behind her back trying to push away the sudden anxiety that came over her.

"I gave Sullivan my blessing and I assume he acted upon it so do you have at least five minutes to chat?" Pruitt asked sitting in the extra chair behind the desk.

Andy looked towards her dad and the stairs where the team was now currently up in the beanery and towards the door of Sullivan office.

"Now isn't the best time dad like I said tomorrow morning when I'm done with shift we can meet up at either my place or at our favorite little cafe down the street and talk then."

"Fine text me the time and I'll be there" he got up and gave Andy a hug and before leaving he knocked and waved to Robert and soon he was gone.

"Your dad was here for how long?" Robert asked noticing Andy had slipped into his office.

"Not long he was here for no more than about 10 minutes"

Andy quickly closed his blinds and locked the door and went over to Robert and sat on his leg.

"What's wrong?" he asked quietly running his hand up and down her back.

"I miss you" she admitted softly.

"I miss you more but tomorrow you can come over since it's been a while since we've had date night or even a day alone"

"That sounds like a plan but it'll have to be sometime in the afternoon. Also if I remember correctly you have something to tell me." Andy stated remembering their conversation from last night.

"Right well I got an email and I have a meeting following from it because they are promoting me up to Battalion Chief"

Andy quickly looked up at him with excitement and soon embraced him into a hug and kissed him passionately.

"I'm so happy for you babe. You're taking it right?" she asked.

"Yes after hardly no thinking I decided on it and I'm actually very happy."

"Mmmm my fiancé is going to look so good in his new uniform and in his new office. I can't wait until you become our Chief" Andy responded running her hand up and down his chest.

"What do you say is this news celebration worthy?" He asked knowing that she would give in.

"I can work up a little something for you when I come over tomorrow"

Robert smiled at that response and gently rubbed his hand over her leg.

"I love you Robert Sullivan" she said holding his hand in hers.

"I love you more Andrea Herrera" he responded placing a kiss onto her lips and smiling.
