Author's Notes: Hey everyone I hope you liked the last chapter and I hope you like the last one, as always I own nothing but the OCs'.

Karl shifted back to his human form and turned towards Agliar as the sounds outside of the arena grew louder.

"What is going on?!" The elf turned and looked at him, seemingly indifferent towards Karl's lack of clothing.

"As I said, it has begun." He looked at the others and their looks of confusion. "Did you not believe me when I said that I had a plan? My brethren and I have been planning this for months. This city dies tonight and if we do not wish to die with it we must be quick." So saying he turned and headed back towards the door they had entered the arena from.

Seeing that the elf was not going to explain further the others followed after him, Karl pausing long enough to gather up his weapons. The guards where nowhere to be seen, the door leading to where the cart was located was bared but between their weapons and Karl and the Dwarf's strength the door fell with little difficulty. They emerged onto the street to find themselves in the middle of a city in the grip of total chaos.

Wherever they looked there was chaos and confusion. People where running amok and the blood flowed in even greater quantities than before. Slaves were still being killed but now Dark Elves were dying as well. A number of slaves had somehow gotten their hands on a number of weapons, ranging from capture Dark Elf weapons to improvised weapons such as kitchen knives and work tools. What surprised Karl and the others other than Agliar the most was who else was fighting.

The Dark Elves seemed to be fighting each other; soldiers, different sigils on their armor, were tearing into one another with as much ferocity as they did the slaves, if not more so. And there was a final party in the confusing battle. Though they were hooded they were clearly elves as well, they kept primarily to the rooftops and rained arrows down onto the combatants, though they targeted only the Dark Elves.

"What in the name of the Lady is going on?" Sir Coty demanded of anyone and no one as he looked around in confusion.

"We have to go," Agliar said; "We need to get out of the city! I will explain when we are out of the city!"

Nothing more was said as they began running after the Shadow Warrior. As they ran they for the most part tried to avoid fighting, doing so only when their way was blocked by Dark Elves. Fortunately the Dark Elves seemed mostly interested in fighting one another or in killing slaves and few seemed to notice the fleeing group and those that did died quickly. They were aided by Agliar's fellow Shadow Warriors, for that was who they were according to Agliar, who sniped at any large group who came near them but this aid was not always available and gradually they found their progress slowing as they reached a part of the city where the fighting seemed to be fiercer.

They had just broken through two groups of Dark Elves who were too busy trying to kill each other to notice the group till they were on top of them. They had just finish cutting them down when they heard a sound at the head of the street. Turning towards the sound they saw a large force of Dark Elves mounted on their lizard-like mounts, they focused on Karl and the others, lowered their lances and charged.

Karl could see that they were in trouble, they had no chance against an organized cavalry charge and they had no chance of outrunning them nor could they hope to avoid them, they were in a plaza. As soon as the riders got out of the street they could fan out and run them down. Karl looked to the rooftops, hoping to see the Shadow Warriors but there were none to be seen. There not appearing to be any way out Karl and the others made ready to sell their lives dearly Karl suddenly felt a hand on his leg. Looking over he saw that it was the Dwarf. He walked to stand in front of the others and for the first time he spoke.

"Go, all of you. This is neither the time nor place for you to die, it is mine." So saying he turned and sprinted towards the oncoming Dark Elves.

Karl wanted to stop him but Wilfred shook his head. Instead they and the others kept running. As they ran Karl heard the sounds of bodies crashing into one another. There were sounds of roaring mounts, cursing from riders and the blows of weapon on weapon. Then above them all the Dwarf cried out, his voice rising above all the others.

"Khazukan Kazakit-ha!" Then there was silence. Karl did not bother to look back but he muttered a quick prayer under his breath for the Dwarf for he knew he was gone. His thoughts were interrupted suddenly when the group was brought up short by Agliar, who was in the lead, suddenly ground to a halt with a curse. Karl was in the rear but as he was taller than most of the others he could see what was wrong. Firers had broken out and where rapidly spreading throughout the city. One of the burning buildings had collapsed, spreading burning debris all about and blocking their path.

"Well, we can't go that way." Sir Coty said dryly.

"I can see that you idiot!" Agliar snapped at him. "Let me think," he was silent for a moment and then turned to look down another alleyway; "This way!" He said heading towards it, the others right behind him. Fortunately they did not meet any resistance and Karl began to smell ships and the sea.

"There," Agliar said, pointing to one of the ships; "We can take one of them we can sail down the coast to meet up with the others!" So saying he ran towards the nearest ship.

As they ran towards it Karl saw that some of the other ships in the harbor were on fire with their crews fighting to contain the flames. On the decks of several other ships fights were raging between the crews and groups of slaves who clearly had the same idea as Karl and his group, though so far it looked quiet on the ship that they were heading to. That changed as they drew closer, a number of Dark Elves came up on deck. Fortunately they did not seemed aware of the approaching group and were moving to engage a group of slaves who were also headed for the ship.

Agliar slowed them down and waited for the two groups to engage and then led them forward to strike at the rear of the Dark Elf crew. The sound of the battle increased covered their advance and the fell on them without the enemy being aware of them. Karl thrust his short sword into the back of one Dark Elf while he took the head off of another. Yuviel thrust her spear into the back of another, Sir Coty cut down another as he started to turn around and knocked another over the side with his shield. Wilfred crushed two skulls with his hammer and Agliar cut down four in the time that it would take Karl to blink.

Karl's body went stiff as something sharp pierced his back. Gritting his teeth he turned to see that not the entire crew have sallied forth. A second group of Dark Elves had swarmed up onto the deck and a number of them were armed with crossbows and they did not seem to care if they hit their comrades or not. Looking over to the others he saw that, with the exception of Agliar, all of the others had been wounded to one degree or another. Sir Coty had one in his back and another in his shoulder. Wilfred had one in his leg and was limping as a result and Yuviel had taken two to her shoulder.

With a wild scream she threw herself at them. They aimed their crossbows at her and let fly with a hail of bolts. They slammed into her, stopping her in mid-step, she froze in that position for a moment and then stumbled forward. With the last of her strength she hurled her spear, impaling the leader of the Dark Elves, both of their bodies hit the deck at the same time the life already gone from her eyes. The death of their leader threw the Dark Elves into a moment of confusion and before they could recover Karl was on them. Thrusting left and right he cut down a number of them and the rest jumped over the side to get away from him. Karl turned back to the first group, eager to kill more Dark Elves. He and Yuviel had not been friends, her people were the enemies of his and she was a devotee of the Dark Gods but they had fought together and he wanted these slaving murderers to pay for her death.

However, by the time he got back to the others they had already dispatched the remaining crewmen and it seemed the ship was theirs. Sir Coty turned back him and smiled in triumph.

"The ship is ours! We are going home!"

"There are not enough of us to sail the ship!" Karl objected. Also he was sure that most, if not all of them, knew nothing about ship handling. Apparent Agliar heard them as he turned to look at them.

"There is no need, we only have to get out of the harbor and go a little up the coast and my people will meet us there." Wilfred turned to look at them as well,

"Then let us be off, I've seen enough of this accursed land." Karl turned to look at the city and then at Yuviel's body.

"I couldn't agree more."
