Stage 11: The Violent Psycho
Rai was just finished with school and arrived at the warehouse where he promised to meet Orpheus for the interrogation.
Rai went inside and heard screaming.
"Is this all you got…you damn terrorist!?" Lexington questioned before Orpheus electrocuted him with a car battery. He screamed in pain.
"This is getting us nowhere." Orpheus mused. Just then Rai walked in.
"What'd I miss?"
"Not much, but Lexy here is a bit of stubborn, isn't he?" Orpheus said as he face Lexington.
"Go to hell…" He answered.
"See?"
"Maybe I can help." Rai said before activating his Geass. Orpheus was surprised.
"You have one too?"
Rai nodded before he looked at Lexington in the eyes.
"Now, answer our questions." Rai commanded and soon Lexington's eyes glowed red, symbolizing that the Geass has taken its hold on him.
"Very well." Lexington said with a calm expression. Rai turned his Geass off as he faced Orpheus.
"Nice, we're going to be here for a while." Orpheus said before they started questioning Lexington.
(At the hideout)
Lelouch was working on modifying the Club so it could be able to synch with different Memories at once.
CC was hugging her plush toy, Cheese-kun, as she was looking over the report on Narita. She noticed the anonymous warning that Lelouch sent that saved thousands of the civilians in the city. She looked over to Lelouch.
"Why did you save those civilians during the Battle of Narita if you were going to attack it regardless?"
Lelouch got out of the cockpit and looked at her.
"It's not their fight." He simply answered before going back to work.
"But you said you despise the Britannians and their way of life." She pointed out.
"I do, but only the ones with actual power. Why should I attack those with all bark and no bite?"
"I suppose you have a point right there. I would've thought that you were going soft."
"Me? The White Devil? Don't make me laugh." Lelouch scoffed while CC decided to change the subject.
"By the way what did you do with the other T2 Memories?"
"I've kept a few on me while the others…are in storage."
"Storage?"
"Yes, they're safe. That's all you have to know." He answered. He soon started to think on the past as words echoed in his head. Of his father, Euphie, Clovis, CC, and Nunnally.
He was soon snapped from his thoughts as he looked at his phone to see a message from Orpheus.
'Rai and I can't come to the operation. Proceed without us.' The message said. Soon after a few more minutes of working on the Club, Lelouch got out of the cockpit and got his phone out. He dialed in a number. He then placed it on his ear.
"Ohgi, it's me, Eternal."
(Later at the Docks)
"J-Just wait a second, Eternal!" Ohgi said as most of the Riders and Black Knights were at the meeting point with Guren, Club, and a few other Knightmares behind them. "I realize this request is from Kyoto, and we'd have no problem accepting it. And I'm sure the Japanese Liberation Front would prefer to fight with us…rather than escaping to a foreign country, but..."
"You're Diethard, the one who offered us this information, correct?" Lelouch asked.
Diethard showed himself at the meeting point and was quite welcomed…other than having a couple of guns pointed at him.
"Yes, I'm honored that you'd see me like this, Eternal." Diethard said calmly.
"So, Princess Cornelia is going to deploy the mechanized marines in order to capture General Katase of the Liberation Front?" Lelouch asked.
Diethard also arrived with information regarding Britannia's motives here.
"Yes. We're all ready at the network station for a special report on it." Diethard confirmed.
"Tohdoh will never be able to rendezvous with Katase. In short, the Japan Liberation Front has no real military power at the moment. Their only chance of escape is the liquid Sakuradite they have."
"Which is why helping General Katase to escape should come before fighting Princess Cornelia-." Ohgi said before being interrupted by Lelouch.
"Ohgi! Who are we?" Lelouch asked.
"The…The Black Knights." Ohgi answered.
"Then we have but one task! We must destroy Cornelia's troops in order to rescue the remnant forces of the JLF! Now, tonight, we are going to regain what we forgot at Narita!"
"What are the chances of winning?" Ohgi asked.
"That's a foolish question." Lelouch replied.
"Understood." Ohgi said with a smile.
"Begin preparations for the operation. Everyone, stand by on your current orders." Lelouch ordered before leaving.
(With Rai and Orpheus)
"So what do we do about him?" Rai asked, looking at the unconscious Lexington.
They just got the information they needed after Rai used his Geass on Lexington. For Orpheus, he learned that Oiaguro was supposed to meeting with him in a couple of days at a facility not far from Shibuya. For Rai, he learned that Lexington did meet a relative of his; his father.
He learned that his father was a Britannian noble; making him half-blood. His name was Duncan Carter.
"Well, he outlived his usefulness but I'm planning o have my Peace Mark contacts take care of it." Orpheus answered. "Right now, I want to take a look at the meeting point. Get familiar with it and try to get prepared by the time of the actual meeting. You coming?" He asked.
Rai seemed to think about this.
"Might as well. Maybe I can get more answers out of your uncle."
Orpheus smiled.
"Good, I'll let my guys here take care of Lexington. We move out in a few hours." Orpheus instructed, making Rai nod.
(With the Black Knights)
It was night and Lelouch was preparing himself for the operation. He was sitting near his Club while CC was sitting right across from him.
He had just planted a bomb at the bottom of the bay but CC had to help him as well.
"Interesting that you would place a bomb there." CC mused.
Lelouch looked at her.
"Hell is awaiting them regardless; I'm just giving them the quick and painless path towards it." Lelouch answered.
Just then they heard footsteps and Lelouch quickly placed his jacket o before pulling his hood up.
"Who's there?" Lelouch asked.
"Relax, it's me." Kallen assured.
Lelouch sighed before placing his hood down.
"Kallen, what is it?" Lelouch asked as Kallen approached the warehouse.
"Lelouch, why exactly are you fighting?" She asked.
"Hmm?" Lelouch replied.
"I know what you said about hating the Britannians but why exactly? Me and the others fight for justice but…what about you? I don't exactly see you fighting for justice, what's your angle?" She asked.
Lelouch smirked a little bit.
"Believe me when I say this, in a way I'm fighting for justice." Lelouch answered.
Kallen seemed confused by his answer.
"I really don't want to get into this too much but know that it is a personal grudge. One that I personally hold against the Royal Family. You can say that it's part revenge and part justice at the same time."
"And to achieve that you need us?" Kallen asked.
Lelouch just stared at her.
"And you guys need me to achieve Japan's independence, right?" Lelouch retorted. "It appears that we both have what the other wants."
Kallen gave him a look.
"Fine, I'll help you but know this, you cross any of our backs…" She pulled out her Driver. "…I'll make you regret it."
Lelouch only stared back at her before she left.
CC looked at him. She thought about the words he said to her the past few weeks and couldn't help but worry a little bit.
'I …can't afford to make the same mistake.' She thought before looking at him.
"You aren't worried by her?" CC asked.
"Of course not, I have a failsafe in case any of this happens." Lelouch said before placing on his LostDriver. "In any case, we should move out. The operation is about to begin."
He then pulled out his Eternal Memory and pressed on it.
"ETERNAL!"
(With Rai and Orpheus)
They arrived at the coordinates that Lexington gave them. The place looked like a deserted warehouse, not far from the city itself.
Orpehus and Rai weren't far from the building and Orpheus was examining the building through binoculars.
"Yeah, I can definitely see a defense perimeter being put there." Orpheus observed, as pointed at the roof.
Rai looked through the binoculars next.
"No doubt they would have disguised guards at the front and back?"
"What about the sides?"
"They would be stupid to not put patrols there but we do have a few seconds of an open window from that." Rai answered.
"A few seconds is better than none." Orpheus answered.
Unknown to them, a figure was watching them. He smiled before sticking something into his arm.
"Okay, so we'll just-."
Before Rai could finish, they heard a roar. They look to see a huge wrecking ball rolling at them. The two moved away to see that ball transform into a deformed monster.
"Dopant!" The two recognized before they got their LostDrivers on, their Memories out, and Orpheus took off his hat.
"JOKER!"
"SKULL!"
"Henshin!"
They placed their Memories in the slots and tilted them.
"JOKER!"
"SKULL!"
The two transformed into their respective Rider forms. Skull placed his hat back on before the two attacked the Dopant.
The Dopant dodged Skull's fist before punching him with its wrecking ball hand. Skull flew into a tree before falling on the ground.
Joker ran and kicked him a few times before the Violence Dopant grabbed him and pushed him against a tree.
Joker started struggling to get free while the Dopant looked like he was concentrating something but only grunted in failure.
"No matter…will find her…without help." The Dopant grunted before tossing Joker away. Skull got and pulled his gun out but the Dopant transformed into its wrecking ball form before rolling away Skull tried firing again but the shots were deflected.
Joker soon caught up to him before both Riders transformed back into their civilian forms.
"What the hell was that all about?" Orpheus questioned as he dusted off his hat before placing it back on.
(With Eternal and the Black Knights)
With everyone in place, they soon moved near the second warehouse to hear commotion. As they moved closer, the sound became more audible. They soon heard gunfire and then they saw Knightmares making their way towards the ship.
Eternal then spoke through the radio through the Club.
"Everyone, before we commence operation I would like to remind you that now that the JLF is all but defeated and fleeing, we are all that remains in Area 11 that can fight the Britannians. As such I do not want any of you to take unnecessary actions, just stick to the plan that we laid out." Eternal instructed before he got the detonator out.
As the battle continued, Eternal had a devilish smile underneath his helmet and pressed the detonator.
Soon the whole JLF ship blew up along with all Knightmares onboard or too close. Everyone was surprised and shocked.
"As I'd expect of the JLF, they chose to take the Britannians with them!" Eternal remarked.
Ohgi then got on the line.
"Suicide? But, what about the message they sent?" Ohgi asked.
"We're going to rush Cornelia head on!" Eternal began. "Nothing besides that matters anymore! Results take priority over everything! Avenge the JLF!" He said as the Black Knights started attacking.
"This is like Narita all over again!" Ohgi remarked.
"In that case…!" Diethard started before leaving his position.
"Hey! Where are you going!?" Ohgi asked but was ignored.
As Diethard was climbing down, he had a smirk on his face.
'He used the Liberation Force as a decoy and is attacking the now short-handed main force. An excellent plan but one of the oldest too!'
Ohgi then pulled out his pistol.
"Are you trying to run!?" Ohgi said before shooting but his shots kept missing. Diethard was ignoring them and continued moving and he was finally down the ladder.
'I see! He did it to weaken his opponents! He used the Liberation Force as living bait! Eternal is excellent! He is chaos incarnate! Show me more! Show me what you can do! Show me the world your ego would build!' Diethard started before laughing.
Meanwhile, the Britannian forces were scrambling while trying to find survivors. Soon a boat flew out the water and crash landed on the water. The Britannians tried investigating it before it opened up, revealing Accel's Guren, Cyclone's Burai, Eternal's Club, and few other support Knightmares.
"Knock their Knightmares into the sea before their pilots can mount them!" Eternal instructed. "Accel, you're with me! Cyclone, stay here and support the troops as best you can!"
"Got it!" Accel answered before the Guren and Club moved out. They started destroying whatever Sutherland or Britannian Knightmare they can see.
The Club soon saw Cornelia's Gloucester starting so it rammed into it. The Gloucester flew back as the Club continued to charge it. The Gloucester starts firing at it but the Club was evading every single one of her shots.
"I won't let you best me again in Knightmare combat!" Cornelia declared as she was about to fire again but before she could, a slash harken appeared and disarmed her.
She looked to see the Guren retracting its slash harken.
"That new model again!?"
"I'll smash your hatch and drag you out…Cornelia!" Eternal said as he aimed his gun. Before he could press the button, the Lancelot jumped out of nowhere and got in the air in a sidekick position.
The Club jumped out the way before firing its gun, pushing the Lancelot away.
"Eternal! Just surrender now and this can all be over fast!" Suzaku said over the radio. "I won't let you hurt anyone else!"
The Lancelot charged before it and its sister unit were now in a swordfight. Eternal got out a memory and placed it into the USB Slot.
"METAL! MAXIMUM DRIVE!"
The Club became coated in quicksilver and when the Lancelot tried slashing it with its sword, it literally shattered in half.
"N-No way!" Suzaku let out before throwing the shattered sword away and blocking another hit from Eternal as the Club returned to its Eternal colors. Accel tried helping too but was soon stopped by Cornelia's Gloucester.
"This is payback for Narita!" Cornelia said.
The Club just blocked a hit from the Lancelot.
"You again, White Knight!?" Eternal said before trying to cut the Lancelot's legs. The Lancelot jumped back and the Club combined its swords, making its double-bladed lance.
"I'm sorry, but I can't let you win, Eternal!" Suzaku said before his Lancelot dodged the slash and punched the Club into a wall.
Eternal sees the Lancelot charging with its MVS and quickly moved out of the way. The Lancelot stabbed a crate and tried pulling it out as the Club placed its lance in one hand and a gun in the other. It aimed and fired.
The Lancelot quickly blocked it with its shield as it freed it sword and fired its slash harken. It slashed the gun and the Club brought up its shield before it exploded in front of it. The Lancelot used the opportunity to charge and tackle the Club.
"You actually improved. No matter, though. I won't let you get in my way again!" Eternal said before he made the Club kick the Lancelot off.
The Lancelot landed and stood up as the Club did the same thing. The two stared at each other before charging once again.
(At a nearby warehouse)
"What the hell was that about!?" Orpheus questioned again.
"Another Dopant, and it appears to be looking for someone." Rai concluded.
"And this Dopant has control over himself which doesn't sound good for us or Lelouch and the Black Knights."
"Which Memory do you think this is?" Rai asked.
"No clue, but we should definitely tell Lelouch about this." Orpheus said.
"Do you think he's busy?"
As if on cue, an explosion occurred. Rai and Orpehus peaked outside to see Britannian Sutherlands and Black Knight Burais having a massive battle.
"Maybe he's a little too busy to call right now." Orpheus said.
(During the battle)
The Club and Lancelot were dueling on the top of crates while the Guren was handling the Gloucester.
The Lancelot kicked the Club off the crates and got out the VARIS Rifle. Eternal looks up to see the VARIS Rifle charging and pointed at him. When the Lancelot fired, the Club quickly moved out of the way, making a crater on the floor.
Eternal soon got a call from Cyclone.
"One of the scouts reported that Britannian reinforcements are on their way to support Cornelia." Cyclone reported.
"How close are they?" Eternal asked.
"Close enough for a retreat."
"Damn it, there's always next time though." Eternal mused before going back on the radio. "Order our support forces to rally at the exit point to secure our retreat. I'll meet you shortly."
"Copy that." Cyclone sighed. "Just don't get captured." She said before signing off.
Eternal then got on Accel's channel.
"It's time to go."
"Got it."
The Club then did a side kick to the Lancelot but the Gloucester charged. The Club stepped to the side before it sliced off the Gloucester's legs. It fell down with a thud.
"Your Highness!" Suzaku said before charging at Eternal next.
The Club kicked the Lancelot towards the Guren and the Guren kicked it back to the Club and so forth. Soon when kicked towards the Club, the Club sliced off its leg before kicking it to the Guren. The Guren then grabbed its other leg with its radiant wave surger and used it, destroying the other leg.
The Lancelot fell on its back and the two Rider Knightmares took off without a hitch.
(The next day at the hideout)
"You two are absolutely sure of what you saw?" Lelouch asked. Rai and Orpheus told him about their encounter with the Violence Dopant but left out a few parts of the story.
"Well, it was hideous, definitely didn't look human, stuck what I presume is a Memory in his arm, and had extraordinary powers." Orpheus answered. "If that doesn't match a Dopant then I don't know what does."
"Still though, he looked like he was searching for someone and that we might know where this person was." Rai answered.
"I see, any idea of who he's looking for?" Lelouch asked.
"All we know is that it's a she." Rai answered.
"A she?" Lelouch wondered. He has a good idea of who this Dopant might be referring to but while he was thinking, Orpheus went up to him.
"Any idea which Memory that we're dealing with?" He asked.
"Based on your description, the Memory being used in this case would be the Violence Memory. This Memory is one of the more powerful ones. And, if you say, that he has control over himself then that must mean we're dealing with one dangerous violent person."
(At the graveyard)
Kallen was just paying respect to her brother's grave. She soon started thinking about Lelouch and what he said to her last night before the operation. Meanwhile, a figure approached her from behind.
The figure smiled as he read what's in her mind.
"Lelouch…what are you up to?" She muttered.
"Yes. What is he planning? A very fine grave, isn't that right, Ms. Kallen Kozuki?" The figure asked.
Kallen tightened her grip on her guitar case which held her sword.
"Who…?"
(At the hideout)
Lelouch was looking at CC, who was asking her on anyone regarding who might be the Violence Dopant. While Rai and Orpheus were doing various things.
"Why do you assume it's me that he's looking for?" She asked.
"Considering how I met you…" Lelouch answered.
"To be fair, I know tons of violent people." CC replied. "Some that are alive while some have died a long time ago."
Lelouch stared at her with a look.
"Don't give me that face, your making a big deal out of nothing. So what if this man knows me? Depending on who it is, he might not even be that much of a threat to you."
"Maybe but I prefer to take every precaution that I can get."
"You know, some would call that paranoia." CC answered back.
(With the Black Knights)
Everyone was in their hideout talking about last night's mission.
"Man, it was so close! We almost had her!" Tamaki said.
"But Kallen and Eternal really held their own when it came to fighting Cornelia and that white Knightmare." Minami said.
"And, Tamaki got blown up on the first minute." A member said making Tamaki give him a look.
Ohgi seemed to be in his own thoughts right now.
"The JLF warship…" He let out.
"What's wrong?" Minami asked.
"Why did it blow up?" Ohgi replied.
"It self-destructed, right?" Tamaki said.
"But, we did contact them and told them that we would help, right?" Ohgi said.
"Yeah but isn't that why Eternal took action? I know they wanted to see him." Tamaki pointed out.
"Do you doubt Eternal again?" Sugiyama asked.
Ohgi shook his head.
"It's just that…" He started.
"The timing was too convenient, correct? So what are you going to do, if you find out Eternal was behind it?" Diethard asked.
"What are you saying?" Minami replied.
"Yeah, Diethard!" Tamaki started. "I heard you turned wussy and ran away! A gutless Brit's got a lot of cojones talking trash to his superiors like that!"
Diethard had a clam face on.
"I was only making an assessment, that's my new job here. Ohgi, you agreed to it, didn't you?"
Ohgi nodded, remembering a conversation he and Eternal had.
"Oh yeah, that's right. And Eternal did approve it."
(With Kallen and Mao)
"He's a very shady character, isn't he?" Mao asked. Kallen gripped her case.
"How do you know about him?" She asked. Mao seemed to ignore her question.
"Oh, he deceived you. Using you and your friends to his advantage." Mao said as if repeating her thoughts…and doubts regarding Lelouch being Eternal.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Kallen said.
"Just a regular Britannian going about his business and now he's the last hope of your people. Too good to be true, huh? And now you want to punish him for using you and…Japan." Mao said, making Kallen sweatdrop.
The more she heard about what he's saying about 'punishing' Lelouch, the more she was pressured to do so.
(Later in Narita)
Lelouch was in Narita because Kallen called and had given him a lead on a T2 Memory but he got nothing. CC came along to help as well.
While looking, Lelouch's mind flashbacked to when he and CC were on the train coming here.
(An hour ago)
"I cut all my ties, you know." CC said as they seated across from each other.
"Even a witch like you makes mistakes. Is there anyone who wants you outside of the Birtannian military?"
"There are a few but I doubt any of them know of current location." CC answered.
(Present)
Lelouch's phone rang and he looked at the caller ID to see that it was Kallen. He answered it.
"Kallen, are you sure that-?"
"Sure about what?"Mao said over the phone. Lelouch was surprised as he turned over to see him. Was he lead into a trap or something? It couldn't be, Kallen might not like him but she is loyal to the cause.
"Who are you!?" He questioned before Mao tossed him Kallen's STAG Phone. "Bastard! What have you done with Kallen!?"
Mao just smiled and clapped his hands.
"Ooh, I like it! The scary face!" Mao started. "The unforgiving face of a man whose comrade was has been taken under his nose."
"Where's Kallen!?" He questioned.
"You want to know?" Mao asked. "Then accept my challenge. You specialize at those kind of things, right?" He said before bring out a white chess piece.
(With CC)
CC was talking to a young man regarding the Memory.
"It's nothing too complicated. It's just a USB device that's it." CC clarified.
"That's kind of a little vague plus I'm supposed to find something like in all this rubble? No, thank you." The man answered. "Why don't you talk to the authorities?"
"I'd like to avoid a dull crisis like that, if possible." She answered.
"Then why don't you just look through any of the buildings regarding tech?" The man asked back.
CC then noticed a lift in the air with Lelouch on it.
'Hm? What's Lelouch up to now?' She wondered before getting a good look at Mao. Her eyes widened.
"It can't be…Mao!' She then pieced two and two together. 'He's the Violence Dopant!'
(With Mao and Lelouch)
The two were playing a chess game and Lelouch looked at Mao.
'Who is this? What did he do with Kallen?' Lelouch thought before going for a chess piece. 'I'll wager this chess game is just a distraction. His real objective is to lure me someplace with no other people.' He observed.
Mao looked up at him and smiled.
"I've never played this game before." Mao mused.
'Was he just being theatrical by calling me on my phone? No, it was because he didn't know what I look like. Meaning he didn't have enough time to get a photo of me.' He further observed. 'This plan hasn't been meticulously thought through. If that's the case, then-.'
"There's an opening you can use?" Mao finished.
Lelouch looked up at him surprised.
"Shouldn't you concentrate a bit more on the game?" He asked. "You'll lose otherwise." He said before moving another piece.
Lelouch can see the motive in such a move.
"You're no beginner, you liar!" He accused before moving another chess piece.
(With CC)
CC was driving up the mountain with the motorcycle that belonged to the man form earlier ago.
'Lelouch, even you…No, because of who you are, you'll never be able to defeat Mao!' She thought. 'Unless…'
(With Lelouch and Mao)
The lift was finally coming to a stop as Lelouch's eyes widened when he sees that Mao has beaten him.
'Impossible…He's beaten me!?'
Mao smiled.
"So, can I presume that I've won?" He asked.
'How can he predict my moves? Who is this guy?' Lelouch thought.
"Didn't CC or any of your rider friends tell you about me?" Mao asked before Lelouch gave him a look. "Well done! You've instantly thought of 14 possible identities for me." He said before applauding him. "Two of them are extremely correct."
Mao lifted his visor down only for Lelouch to see two eyes with the Geass symbol.
"A Geass User!" He recognized before bring out his Geass.
Mao then placed his visor back on.
"Oh wait! You can't use your Geass unless you have direct eye contact with the intended target. I know all the rules of your little gift." Mao said before bringing out the Violence Memory. He pressed on it.
"VIOLENCE!"
"And you can't fight for this thing while we're here right?"
"So, you're the Violence Dopant and a mind reader?" Lelouch asked as he turned off his Geass.
"Pretty much." He answered.
"Where's Kallen!? D-Did you kill her!?" he asked.
"Of course not." Mao answered before the lift stopped at the station and Kamen Rider Accel was waiting outside.
"Accel!"
"Now then, the liberation begins." Mao said as Accel brought out her sword and pointed it in Lelouch's direction.
(At the Docks)
Ohgi was at the docks, thinking about what happened last night,
"Eternal…you weren't yourself yesterday." He mused. He hears noise and sees that construction workers are repairing some sort of crater nearby. No doubt that it was from the battle between the Riders and Cornelia and the White Knightmare.
"Why am I feeling this way?"
Just then he notices something not far in front of him. He looks to see an injured woman covered in blood. He soon came by and helped her.
"Hey! Are you okay!?"
After a few moments, she moaned.
"Good, you're alive." Ohgi said.
"Eternal…" The woman let out, surprising Ohgi.
(With Lelouch)
"Kallen, what are you doing!?" Lelouch said as Accel pointed her sword at him.
Accel had no response as it was hard to tell what expression she was using underneath her helmet. Lelouch then turned to Mao.
"What did you do to her!?"
"I didn't do anything to her, Lulu." Mao mocked. "I just told her all about you, the real you."
Accel decided to speak up.
"Lelouch, tell me, why is it you really fight? Are you're sure this isn't all just a game to you? That we aren't just pawns to you? You knew how important this war is to us, all of us, yet you used me, Rai, and my friends for your own gain? You were our leader! You gave us hope and we trusted you!" Accel said with anger.
"What?" Lelouch said, he soon turned to Mao. It was obvious that Mao was using his Geass to look into Kallen's insecurities about the war, which he now has to quell. "I fight because I must, in order to protect those, those who cannot protect themselves. And because of this I would never use someone just to satisfy my own purposes, especially not one as cruel as a game."
Mao clapped again while Lelouch stared at him as he was tempted to transform right now.
"My, my, you do have a way of words, Lulu." Mao remarked. "But those are just pretty words. How can you be sure he isn't just saying that to save himself? How can you be so sure that he isn't keeping any more secrets from you, his so-called ally and fellow Rider? And as a comrade, aren't you entitled to learn such secrets? Don't you think he should pay for his-?"
Just then a shot was fired near Mao and everyone was surprised when they saw Joker appear with the Magnum.
"Rai!" Both Accel and Lelouch noticed. Then Lelouch looked at Mao. If he could read minds then how come he didn't sense Rai? Unless…
Lelouch placed on his LostDriver and got out his Memory.
"ETERNAL!"
"Henshin!"
"ETERNAL!"
Lelouch transformed into Eternal, making Mao cringe.
"As I thought, you can't read my mind while I'm like this, can you?" Eternal asked while Mao just stared at him. He then looked at Joker, who just approached him. "Where did you come from?"
"It's a long story." Joker answered before Eternal tentatively took a few steps towards Accel.
"Kallen, step away from him and come with me. We can go back to-."
Before he can finish, Accel slashed him across the chest, making Eternal roll down the stairs with Joker stopping him.
"Lelouch!"
"J-Just stay back, Lelouch!" Accel yelled while her hand was trembling on the sword. "I-I don't know who to trust now. You lied to me before and you can do so again so, just stay back!"
"That's right, he did lie to you, Kallen. He used you, the Riders, and the Black Knights for his own selfish reasons and gave nothing back in return. And, liars must be punished, shouldn't they?"
Joker then looked at Accel as he was helping Eternal up. Eternal grabbed the Magnum from Joker and fired at Mao. Mao moved to the gondola in order to avoid being hit.
"C'mon Kallen, we're friends, aren't we? I know Lelouch isn't exactly the nicest guy but he's trying." Joker started. "And he does trust us, after all he's the one that gave us our Drivers, right?"
Eternal nodded.
"He's right. I trust all the Riders with my life and secret as does each Rider. Doing this now would betray that trust." Eternal said.
Accel soon finally dropped her sword and was on her knees. They could hear her crying coming out of her helmet. Joker and Eternal moved to her before they comforted to her.
Mao just stood in his gondola.
"What is with her?" He said before getting out his Violence Memory.
"VIOLENCE!"
"If you want something done right, then do it yourself." Mao mused before the gondola closed and started moving. "What!? The only ones that I can't sense are busy already! Who's doing this!?"
The Riders look to see Mao's gondola moving.
"It couldn't be!" Mao realized before looking out the window to see CC pointing a pistol at him outside. Mao smiled and ran up to the window. "I knew it! We finally meet again! It's you! It's really you!" He said before taking his headphones and visor off.
Out of the headphones was CC's voice with words of encouragement.
"Are you awake, Mao?"
"Don't worry, Mao."
"That's the way. See, Mao? You can do it."
"Thank you, Mao."
"You look wonderful, even in that outfit, CC!" Mao said with happiness. "I'll come see you as soon as I can! I swear! I SWEAR!"
Soon he was out of sight.
"Mao…I didn't think you would be the one in this whole mess." CC said before everyone else looked at her.

After calming her down, everyone else reverted back into their civilian forms.
"I'm sorry." Kallen said quietly. "I don't know what came over me. He seemed to know exactly what was going through my mind. He knew everything, all my fears, insecurities, everything. I didn't know what to do."
"Hey, it wasn't your fault." Rai said. "You didn't know what he could do."
"He's right." Lelouch said. "There was nothing you could blame yourself for. That man appeared to be a master of manipulation and…from what Rai and Orpheus told me; he's the Violence Dopant. Also, how did you know about where were we?" Lelouch asked Rai.
"Well, it all started, after Orpheus and I left the hideout. I soon saw Kallen in the city minding her business in the graveyard when that psycho came by. I used my STAG phone to track them. Soon I heard from my STAG that the guy was the Violence Dopant. When arriving at Narita, I thought that he might transform again so I transformed into Joker, just in case. I did lay low and trailed you guys until the right timing."
"So he was the Violence Dopant?" Lelouch thought about before looking at CC.
CC looked back at him.
"Out of anybody that could've been the Dopant, not once has he crossed my mind."
"Who was he to you?" Lelouch asked.
"A shadow." CC answered. "A shadow that's been casted in the dark for far too long."

Officer Faiz sees a Kajin fight taking place and Den-O RF was handling the bets.
"Alright, bet set." Den-O said before Faiz approached him. "Good day, Officer."
"Urataros, you know that Kajin fights are illegal. You're better than this."
"Oh, I know, Officer." Den-O said. "Absolutely and under normal circumstances, I would never even consider even having to do with anything regarding this barbaric act but this matchup is extraordinary."
"Matchup? What the hell does that matter? It's either legal or illegal." Faiz said before looking into the ring to see a Inves versus an Orphnoch. He recognized the Inves. "Is that the Killer of the Forest?"
"That's him." Den-O answered.
"I've heard of him. He's a badass." Faiz said before going back on topic. "Even so, I can't have you conducting-who's he fighting?"
"They call him, Knockout Neddy."
"That's Knockout Neddy!? Oh, man, he's never been beaten."
"No."
"Okay, I was never here. I was unaware of the fight. And I'll have 1020 Yen on Neddy." Faiz said before giving the money.
"You got it!" Den-O said before the fight begins.
