Within the pits of Hell, 9 souls stirred awake for the first time in centuries.

A lone eye snapped open, as a woman walked out of the darkness in her prison, looking around. Her pale blonde hair reaching her back, framed by a gentle face… and pale, white eyes. Blank. Almost akin to someone who was blind. But Lilith was far from blind. She could hear, she could see… and she could feel something change in the world. "...You feel that, don't you, my friends?" She smiled, as rustling came from the prison cells near her. "Our King's next reincarnation has awakened."

"This is fantastic news!" Crowley, the Demon representing Truth, exclaimed. He had the appearance of a grandfatherly looking man, with a kind smile and an ancient look in his brown eyes.

"Finally, I was getting bored!" Abaddon cheered, a bloodthirsty look in her crimson eyes before she began to giggle madly. The other Generals didn't say much, but they were sufficiently happy to hear their King's final reincarnation had appeared just as Mephilosti said he eventually would.

"What now, Lils?" Balthazar, a Pure Angel who took the appearance of a rugged-looking man with golden brown hair and gray-blue eyes asked as he looked through his own cell and to his de-facto Leader. Lilith's smile widened.

"We wait for our King to eventually call upon us, of course. Then, we may be useful to him." The First Demon replied, as the currently alive nine of the Ten Generals of Mephilosti then returned to their slumber before the Demons guarding them grew wise to their plotting. Lucifer didn't need to know about the truth.

RE: FALLEN (Full Title: RE: Unmei no haaku kara ochita)

Chapter Five - RE: TOLD (RETOLD)

Rem silently stared at the sleeping, unconscious form of the ever-mysterious Zakariya. After what happened in the forest, she had rushed him back to the mansion where Miss Beatrice had healed him… yet there were two lingering issues. The first being the curses placed on the boy, which were too tangled to remove unlike her own. "This boy…" He had done all this, risked his own life and let himself get bitten by the Witch's Beasts many times… "Why are you such an idiot, Zak?" Rem asked the unconscious boy, as her worries only increased.

That form of his, the strength he unleashed in the forest, had damaged his body. Not only that, the power and aura was familiar to Rem. It was similar to an Oni's transformation, yet so different. She knew who he was. Even if he didn't realize it, he was a Celestial vessel. And from the potency of the aura last night, she was willing to believe he had an ancient Devil behind his power.

Devils were well known and spoken of in the old folk tales of the Oni clan, especially in their village. The old Oni God was even said to be the direct descendant of a powerful Devil. But as powerful as Devils were, they would never put themselves in harms way. And they were never that reckless in a situation where they could die. Meaning the boy didn't know of the Celestial origins of his new powers. Rem's eyes narrowed as she stared at the boy, noticing a spike in the aura around him. The Witch's Scent had increased slightly in potency, but so did the scent of a Fallen Celestial, a Fallen Angel. It was akin to smelling honeysuckle, but the scent was much more powerful than it should be, overwhelmingly so. "...I don't know why you have this scent… but I will save you, I promise." Rem swore eventually, a determined look in her eyes. "Just stay strong and survive. You have a lot to answer for."

Zakariya found himself in a dark world similar to the one where he met Michael after his first death. Everything was black and it was nearly impossible to see… until a large amount of light particles formed in front of him, turning into the strange Orb from before. "Good morning, weak one." The Voice teased, as Zak grit his teeth in frustration. "Oh, don't look at me with that hateful expression! It's heartbreaking to see someone I'm so closely involved with hating me!"

"What do you mean?" Zak snapped, as the Voice sighed.

"I named you, of course." The Voice then hummed momentarily. "Gimme a moment." He requested, before the Orb exploded outward in a flash of bright light. Zak closed his eyes on reflex, before opening them once the light had died down, his eyes widening in shock. Now before him stood a handsome man standing at six-feet exactly, with messy black hair and piercing red eyes, along with a smile on his face. It only took a moment for Zakariya to realize the man before him was a reflection of him… or at least, a reflection of what he wanted to look more like. Taller. Stronger. More handsome.

As if hearing his thoughts, the man frowned slightly. "Now, now, my little eponym. Don't put yourself down."

"What do you want from me?" Zak asked in an effort to get to the point, with the man sighing tiredly as his perfect posture faded away, with him slouching forward in an exhausted manner.

"You're seriously killing my vibe, Zaki." The man said, almost tipping Zak's anger over the boiling point, but the man did get to the point quickly. "Fine, you want to know? I'm Zacharias Mephilosti. Nice to meet you." Mephilosti then raised a hand and snapped his fingers, changing the black void around them to a more familiar room. The robotics club room back at Zak's old school. "Let's talk business." He smiled genuinely, calming down Zak's nerves slightly.

"Hey, didn't you say we're supposed to be talking business?" Zak asked Mephilosti, as he looked around the Robotics Club Main Room, fondly looking over the tools, pictures, and team T-shirts around the room. Mephilosti hummed from the other side of the room.

"Yep, that is what should be happening right now." Mephilosti agreed, as Zak shifted his gaze to the self-proclaimed Devil with an annoyed expression on his face.

"Then why are you lazing around, sitting on old Doc J's seat, browsing his computer, and eating the entire bag of Lifesavers?!" Zak snapped at the Devil, causing Mephilosti to stop what he was doing, a handful of Lifesavers close to his mouth. Mephilosti's gaze shifted between Zakariya and the Lifesavers in his hand, doing so repeatedly as Zak's eyes narrowed. "Don't you dare." Mephilosti stared at the entire bag of Lifesavers next to him… and then proceeded to consume all of the bag's contents, causing Zak to groan loudly. "OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE!"

"Come on, cut me some slack, Fledgeling! I didn't have this shit when I was around!" Mephilosti then swallowed his mouthful of candy, before pointing his hand at Zak accusingly. "Besides, don't act like you haven't eaten your share of absurd Lifesaver counts!"

"Ugh! You're infuriating!"

"I'm a Devil! It's my job, asshole!" Mephilosti retorted, before eventually calming down as he found the room's stash of Hershey Kisses. "Ooh, chocolate! Don't mind if I do!"

"Mephilosti!" The Devil turned to see Zak with an exasperated and desperate look on his face. "Can we please get to the point?"

"Mmm, fine. But only because driving you crazy finally lost its luster." Mephilosti shrugged as he tossed the bag of candies behind him, leaning forward in the chair he had casually taken. "Let's actually talk business, for real this time." He motioned for Zak to sit in front of him… in a chair that had magically appeared out of nowhere. He did so immediately, with Mephilosti smiling slightly. "What do you want, hm? Out of everything in the world, what do you want?"

"...I don't want to be weak, Mephilosti." Zak eventually said, as he looked up to stare into the Fallen Angel's eyes. "I want to be strong, so I can actually make a change. I don't want to end up dying as much as Subaru. And I'm sure you don't want to go to Hell."

Mephilosti seemed startled by how perceptive Zak was momentarily, before he nodded. "So, you're asking for a deal, then." Mephilosti eventually smiled, putting out a hand for the boy to take, which he did. "Well then, let's get on with the details, boyo." Mephilosti's eyes gave off a sinister glow, reflected by the sun's light.

"You should know me better than anyone else. You know what kind of powers I want." Mephilosti paused for a moment, before motioning for the boy to follow him back to their room and conjuring up a contract.

"You sign this, boy… you get the powers you want and need right now. The abilities of a 'Spring Saint', the powers of the Man Who Speaks In Hands, and a few extra bonuses from myself." Mephilosti said, sliding over the contract and a knife. "Sign in blood, and the changes will be applied instantaneously. You won't be weak anymore." Mephilosti then paused. "Well, actually, you'll still be weak, but you'll be strong as long as you channel these specific powers."

Zak looked over the contract, trying to find anything suspicious in the deal, before looking up. "I know I was the one who asked… but how can I trust you?"

Mephilosti then gave the boy a blank look. "Do you really think I want to go back to Hell, kid? You brought up a good point with the Hell thing." Mephilosti leaned back in the chair he sat in. "Hell is boring and not to mention torturous. Even for a King of Hell like me. I don't want to see any of my 'fellow Rulers' ever again."

"So… in that case… I sign… and I can protect everyone?" Mephilosti then smiled at the boy, placing a hand on Zak's as he nodded firmly. Zakariya's eyes narrowed in determination as he then picked up the knife… and threw it at Mephilosti, narrowly missing the Fallen Angel as he glared at them. "You keep saying that I can trust you, but I know better. Devil Deals will never work out in the mortal's favor."

Mephilosti blankly stared at him before smiling. "Well, this is just what I was looking for. A Host that isn't an idiot." He said in a happy tone, as Zak blinked in confusion. "Oh, come on, don't look at me like that! Do you understand how frustrating it is to see mortals just accept deals all the time? It's like they don't appreciate their souls! Or maybe they're just fucking idiots!" Mephilosti then jumped out of his chair, a grin on his face. "Heck, I'm tempted to just give you all those powers I offered! I mean, I actually won't give all of them, but… yeah, fuck it, I'm giving you one of the powers I was thinking of before!" Mephilosti snapped his fingers, as a crimson sphere of energy appeared in front of him, which he then pushed towards Zak.

Zak blinked as the sphere then entered his body, flooding him with a warm feeling… which then instantly made him fall to his knees. "What…?"

"Oh, wait… giving you Demonic Grace might be a bad idea, you didn't hit your 18th birthday yet… Oh well, I'm sure things will turn out fine!" Mephilosti shrugged off any concerns he had almost immediately, as he turned around, with the world around them burning away. "You'll be wakin' up soon, so try not to overexert your body. I mean, if you can get a hold of your Demon Grace, you're good to go but whatever. Toodles!" Mephilosti then opened up wings on his back and flew off, leaving Zak behind.

"Who… the fuck says toodles anymore?" Zak gritted out, before he blacked out.

When Zakariya truly awoke in the real world, he looked around. He noticed familiar surroundings that matched his foreknowledge. Emilia was exhausted and resting from continually healing him, sleeping in a chair next to his current makeshift bed. He then noticed another note next to him, and picked it up.

'Hey! I know I said I wasn't gonna be able to send any gifts to you for a while, but I managed to work around that! I hope the weapons in here are useful to you! Just smear this note with your blood (or destroy it manually, whichever works) and you'll get your weapons! Always rooting for you,' - The Messenger

'P.S. Make sure to hide this note and your Angel blade for as long as you can. Just trust me on this.'

"...Huh. Right then…" Zak stuffed the letter in one of his pant pockets, a determined look settling on his face. He knew what was ahead of him, and now with whatever Mephilosti did to him, in addition to his Magic and his new weapons… he was sure he could actually make his own decisions for once.

'It begins, then.' Zak thought to himself, as he then noticed Puck fly out from behind Emilia's ear. He was prepared to go through the script as he had memorized, but it seemed that his actions earlier, despite seeming futile and useless; had caused a ripple.

"You're certainly an interesting one, Zak," Puck commented as he flew over and landed on the boy's head, forcing him to look up. "This world hadn't seen anything like that in… well, a long time. Are you a Celestial?"

"I… don't know?" Zak was genuinely confused on that question, both because he didn't have an exact answer and also because he didn't expect it. This was now off-script. Was he changing reality little-by-little? How curious.

"You certainly seem confused. Guess you don't know much, huh?" Puck returned to floating in front of him as he tapped the boy's head with his small paw. "Don't worry, I'll make sure to teach you all about Celestials later."

Zak faintly smiled in response. "Thanks, Puck. I appreciate it." Once the spirit nodded and flew off, the boy's expression darkened slightly. He knew what was next, and he needed to stop it. He got up, ignoring his sore body as he walked out of the shed.

"Hey, if you want to get to the forests quickly, I've got a tip for you. Try to flex your back muscles." Zak heard Mephilosti's voice call out from beside him, and looked to the side to see the man leaning against the shed, though he knew he didn't 'exist' in the material world technically. He took a deep breath and did what Mephilosti instructed him, as large black/red bat-like wings sprouted from his back.

"It's time to say fuck you to the script," Zak said determinedly, as he flapped the wings experimentally and then shot into the air, flying into the forests rapidly as he drew out his Angel Blade to prepare for another battle where he would be risking his life. His once brown eyes were now glowing red as a side-effect of him using the Demon Grace that Mephilosti had granted him. He eventually found his first target, a Wolgarm, as his hand twitched; with him sending out a wave of pure unholy energy to smite the beast instantly. It caused an explosion that Zak hoped, hoped would attract Rem and the other Wolgarm. "Yipe!" Zak jumped into the air, supported by his newly acquired Wings, as he narrowly avoided a large morningstar being thrown in his direction and blowing through a bunch of trees.

"Stay calm. We can do this, Fledgeling." Zak heard Mephilosti's voice say in his head. "You learned how to use Magic, yes?"

"Yeah, but I've only got Yin as my element! That's not gonna be helpful in dealing with this situation!" Zak responded as he desperately dodged another strike from the rampaging Rem, who eventually turned her attention to the Wolgarm when they tried sneaking up on her.

"Yin is your natural element, you mean." Mephilosti chuckled, as Zak felt a warmth flood him, this time much more comfortable. "Since you're my reincarnation, you get a natural bonus of having the Magic Typings of everyone before you, aka 'Meta Magic'. Now follow my instructions."

Zak took a deep breath as he raised a hand, where orbs of magic formed. "First, fire," Mephilosti instructed, as Zak focused and managed to summon a small flame above his palm. "Then Water." A small globule of water appeared as Zak could feel Mephilosti smiling in the back of his mind. "Nearly done, add some Wind." A spiraling sphere of air formed in front of him, as all three elements he had summoned began to swirl around each other. "Now, to make it unique. Add Demon Grace to finish this Spell recipe."

Zak did so, gritting his teeth as he forced this new, foreign yet familiar energy out of his body; with a small sphere of red and black energy formed and absorbed the elements into it. A massive wave of magical wind exploded outwards, causing Zak to dash back to escape the effects, noticing the treetops were now eviscerated. "Say hello to 'Hurricane'. I'm sure you can find out more mixtures soon, but that was a mixture I was aware of."

"Well then… I must thank you for making our quest much easier." Zak grinned as he raised his hands to the air, knowing close-quarters combat was not his forte. But now with this new magic? He could attack from afar and avoid taking damage himself. "Tornado Ascent!" From his hands, echoed a large twister of magic that impacted with the floor and ruptured the landscape. Mabeasts were forced to flee as they recognized a genuine threat, while Zak floated down, thankful for his large amounts of Mana and strong Gate. Hopefully strong enough to ensure he didn't somehow break it like Subaru, but he would see what the future had in store for him. But for now… his gaze shifted to Rem, who was now unconscious and asleep as a side-effect of his Tornado Ascent's impact. He silently walked over and picked up the girl into his arms, waiting for her to wake up, and a few minutes later his wish was granted.

Rem's eyes slowly opened, as she wearily stared up at him. "Zak…?"

"Can you stand, Rem?" The boy asked concernedly for his friend, as he had recognized everyone in this world was real about a few minutes after his first encounter with Elsa. The girl eventually nodded her head, as Zak helped her stand up.

"What happened?" Rem asked, before her eyes widened. "Your back… are those?"

"Demon wings? Pretty sure," Zak shrugged. "I gave up trying to understand things today. But what I do instinctually understand is that we need to get rid of those Mabeasts. I can answer everything later." Zak then sighed as he heard a Mabeast try to sneak attack him. "Tornado Shield." He calmly said, as a vicious tornado formed around him and Rem, eviscerating the Wolgarm into bloody bits instantaneously. Once the shield fell, there was no body left of the Wolgarm, just blood in a circular pattern.

"How… are you really a Demon?" Rem asked in slight fear, as Zak turned around, now seeing his old jokes from Earth about him being a demon might have been more true than he first thought.

"Unsure," He eventually replied. "Like I said, I'll explain everything later. We've got a lot to do, to ensure that the kids, you, and me are safe from the Curses." He then recognized Rem was likely battered and tired, not as much as canon due to his interference, but still pretty tired. He reached over and tapped her forehead, focusing as he thought of an ability he saw in a show. It was a stretch but-

Nevermind, Rem was fully healed like she was never damaged in the first place. Thank god he watched Supernatural, then. It was really a long shot, since he was trying to connect fake Grace to real Grace but oh well. Couldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Healing was healing. "How'd you-"

"Explanations come later, Rem," Zak said, as he reached out to Rem's weapon, focusing on it as it floated over through a telekinetic grasp. He then handed it over to the girl and rushed off as he opened his wings, with the maid eventually getting over her shock and awe as she returned to her Oni mode and kept up with him.

"This isn't good," Zak mumbled as he was pressed back to back against Rem, hordes of raging Wolgarm surrounding them. It seemed his theory about this world being stronger than canon was true, as everything was much tougher. Either that or he was just weak. Which was a possibility, at least Subaru was athletic. Zak? Not so much.

"They've got us surrounded…" Rem muttered as Zak grumbled out a half-hearted sarcastic 'thanks for pointing out the obvious' in response. "Of course! Though I think we should be trying to figure out a way out of this situation!" Rem said with a smile, as she knocked a Wolgarm that got to close to them away.

...Rem was too cute to get mad at. Damnit. Zak eventually reached into his pocket, as he drew out the letter from before, with his bloodied hand on purpose. The blood leaked into the letter, as it faded from existence. Zak's eyes narrowed in focus, as a bright orb of light appeared in front of him. He grabbed at it, feeling cool metal in a familiar shape as he pulled it out of the light, drawing out a pistol that he pointed at a Wolgarm. He shot at it instinctively, blowing the monster's brains out as he focused his bullet-hell on the rest of the Wolgarm, driving them back.

Zak briefly stared at the weapon in his hands, then up at the Wolgarm who seemed genuinely scared of him, and then back at his newly acquired pistol. Slowly, a mad grin appeared on his face as he drew out his phone and headphones, equipping them and turning on a specific mix.

'A playlist to feel like a villain that is also the main character - Now Playing. Main Event - FUTURE ROYALTY.'

Now emboldened by his choice in music, he took steps forward to face the Wolgarm pack, even if this was stupid. If he could pull this off though… he'd feel pretty good about himself for a while and hype himself up for once. As a few Wolgarm charged at him, Zak raised his weapon and fired upon them, the semi-automatic pistol slicing through the beasts despite his worries. "Get rid of those worries, brat. These aren't human weapons, they're Celestial. Infused with Grace. Any normal gun would have failed to kill these beasts." Mephilosti explained as Zak and Rem began to turn the tides together. With Rem's battle prowess and Zak's gun-wielding (though he was constantly being corrected by Mephilosti for posture and safety), they were unstoppable.

Eventually, Zak grew curious of what he could do with his new power of Grace, mixing it with his natural Yin mana. The Demon Grace absorbed it, as it activated in a reactive way, just like before with Hurricane. Dark smoke exploded off of him, blinding everyone and ridding them of their senses. Everyone but him, as Zak looked around and found Rem, tapping her as he gave her back her own senses. Once the smoke cleared, they returned to see all the Wolgarm trembling weakly as patches of purple mana were glowing upon them. Zak instinctively knew what to do, as he was feeling quite tired and smirked. "Life Drain." He called out, as the purple patches disappeared from the Wolgarm, shooting off of them and attaching to him and Rem. He witnessed his own wounds heal, as he recognized he had just killed all the Wolgarm with his new Spell.

"Ooh, ooh! I've got a name for this one!" Mephilosti excitedly said, as Zak sighed tiredly. "We could call this one: Calamity Magic!"

...Huh, that actually wasn't a bad name. Zak eventually collapsed onto his back as exhaustion finally set in, his adrenaline and Grace-rush finally wearing off. "...I'm so fucking tired…" He muttered, as Rem giggled softly beside him and helped him up.

"You did well, despite my worries. I still do recommend you don't end up battling people, Zak." Rem said in a kind tone, as the teen smiled up at her weakly. His eyes then widened as he remembered something. He didn't see the Wolgarm's Leader among that pack-

A mudslide impacted into the duo as he heard a loud, monstrous bark echo throughout the air. Zak's eyes widened from the pain that he felt, almost entirely sure he had broken a rib there. As he landed and hit a tree, he winced, with Rem landing on her feet with an angry look on her face. The girl charged at the Mega Wolgarm, with Zak's hand twitching in fear and anger. He needed to do something. He ended up feeling something other than the floor as he slammed his hand against the ground. He blinked as he looked over to see a swirling jagged black and red portal with his hand stuck in it, drawing it out as he found himself now in the possession of a break action/super shotgun. He stared at it blankly for a moment before forcing himself to his feet and praying that God was on his side for once. He aimed the weapon after cocking it and checking if it was loaded, releasing a single shot on the Mabeast that crippled it by shooting through its left front and hind legs. Rem took that chance to slam her Morningstar into the beast, crushing its skull and killing it instantly as he fell back down and released a breath he didn't know he wasn't holding.

"How the fuck did Subaru get so resistant to pain?" He grumbled, as he winced and held his ribs. He was sure he had overexerted himself and his powers as his gaze began to darken. The last thing he saw was Rem running over to him, before he eventually blacked out.

"How many near-death experiences are you going to experience, boy?" Zak heard a strange, almost elderly yet smooth voice call out from the darkness he stood in. He turned around to see a pale man that looked about the age of his father, wearing a dark business suit and a long topcoat over it. He also held a steel-tipped cane in his hand and wore a silver ring with a white stone on his left hand. "Greetings, young Fallen. It's been a long while, though I suppose in your current state, it's barely been a few days. Let's get comfortable, hm?" The man, who Zak almost instantly recognized as Death smiled comfortingly, his black eyes as dark as the comforting embrace of a peaceful death.

"What are you here for?" He asked, as Death hummed.

"Nothing much, just to keep you company while your soul currently exists in Limbo. You've strained your body and your soul quite a bit last night." Death hummed, as he walked around him. "Especially the blue Oni girl and the half-Elf. They're worried for their friend's life, as, well… you aren't waking up. You did some risky things, created new magic. That isn't something anyone just… does on a whim. Your body is trying to adapt, and until then, you will be unconscious and with me." Death then put a hand on his shoulder, as Zak shivered from the cold touch. "Now, I understand you were intent on summoning me. Let's talk about negotiations of me working for you, hm?"

A few hours later, and with Mephilosti's help, he managed to create a sort of pseudo-contract with Death. He could summon the Grim Reaper once every month starting from the day after he woke up, with his soul being bound to Death while he was summoned. Basically, if he really needed it, he had a Trump Card of his own that allowed him to be immortal for a day, plus he could get Death to kill whoever he wished on that aforementioned day. He did ask what Death wanted in exchange, but that only ended up embarrassing him as Death pointed out there was nothing that he could offer that the Reaper couldn't get himself. "Well, now that's done with," Death began as he stood up, holding the contract he made in his hands. "I will be taking my leave. You'll be waking up soon anyways. There will be a Ring sent to you shortly by one of my Reapers. Use it to call me as said in our contract, and then you may perform the Binding Ritual."

"Of course, Lord Death. Thank you for the assistance," Zak respectfully said to the Primordial Being, who nodded and disappeared. Eventually, he sighed as the world began to fade, with his soul finally waking up.

Zak's eyes opened up to the familiarity of the ceiling in his room within Roswaal Manor. His body was sore and aching all over, but at the same time, he felt much better. Stronger. He noticed a certain something holding his hand, and looked to the side to see Rem. "...Well, this is certainly an interesting situation." He eventually commented, as Rem's attention was grabbed and her grip on his hand tightened. "Rem? What's up?"

"Y-you worried me, Zak! You've been unconscious for two days!" Rem replied as Zak could see faint tears in her eyes. "I almost thought you died!"

"...I'm sorry to have worried you so much, then." Zak eventually replied as the teen sat up. He knew what he had to do, to help Rem, but he didn't want to have to deal with the aftermath of that.

"After all this time and you're still scared of a simple subject such as love, huh?" Mephilosti commented as he saw him standing behind Rem, a disappointed look on his face. "You of all people should know that this girl right here," He pointed at Rem for emphasis. "Would literally die for the people she cares about, and would never hurt you. There's a reason why those 'Waifu Wars' even existed in the first place, for fuck's sake."

Mephilosti, shut up. You don't have any say in this. Zak sighed, as he stood up from his bed, walking over to the window with Rem still holding his hand. "Rem, I know there are some things bugging you. Can we talk? We can answer each other's questions, as best as we can." He asked, as the girl eventually nodded. "Rem, I… I'm on a quest."

"Was this the best course of action?" Mephilosti heard Gadreelson comment from behind him, as the Devil turned to his preceding incarnation.

"I don't understand what you mean, Gadreelson," Mephilosti replied, his hands kept behind his back.

"Giving him these powers will most certainly allow him to forge his own original path, and avoid the pitfalls Subaru Natsuki had fell into. But you know the Butterfly Effect will come into play eventually." Gadreelson said, his eyes narrowing. "What are you planning?"

"...I simply wish to see what my Eponym chooses. Whatever he does, I will support him along the way. We all have the same goal, avoid Hell. Avoid seeing them again." Mephilosti eventually said. "I have given him my blessings. When will you give him yours?"

"...It depends on what he decides to do. He has this knowledge, I wish to see how he utilizes it before giving him anything." Gadreelson replied, as he watched Rem and Zakariya talk. "But I do have my own Blessings in mind, yes. I think he'll like them far more than what you'll give him."

"Is that a mc-fucking-challenge, Gadreelson ol' friend?" Mephilosti grinned widely, a mischievous look in his eyes. "If so, I accept! Whoever wins this challenge gets the reward of being our host's favourite Celestial!"

"Game on, little Devil." Gadreelson smiled, as he shook the Devil's hand, knowing that Mephilosti would take this challenge very seriously. As would he. All he needed to do was wait.
