biancurath: yeah I find it disappoionting since its my favourite holiday. I hope they were good horror stories.

AU in which Ianto isn't human and Jack is assigned to watch him.
"We've been been noticing your growing attachment to your assignment Mr. Harkness."
"Its just to encourage his cooperation," Jack lied. He knew sleeping with Ianto-which was his assignment's name dispite his bosses' insistence that he was simply Assignment 7773- would cause trouble. Sleeping with assignments always caused trouble but Jack usually managed to get away with it.
"There are other ways to encourage his cooperation."
Like torture, Jack thought sadly but he kept his face straight.
"With all due respect," Jack said, "he has a history of reacting badly to other ways. Under my care he has even stopped trying to escape."
There were murmurs among his superiors. Jack waited nervously for their answer.
"We will allow this to go on as long as it continues to bring acceptable results. You may go now." Jack turned to leave. "Harkness?"
"Yes sir?"
"Remember where your loyalties lie."
"Of course sir." But he was no longer sure if he could really choose the cause over Ianto.
I had this idea a while back and I guess I forgot about it. I don't recall if I ever decided what Ianto was in this universe. I'm pretty sure Jack would still be immortal in this universe.
I probably have enough AU Janto drabbles by now to start another collection of drabbles not that I would as that would just be pointless and a lot of work.
