Set somewhere in season 2
There was a Valentines Day carnival in Cardiff so Jack decided to go there with Ianto. Most of their time there was Jack grabbing Ianto's hand and dragging him to the rides like an over excited child. They went on the Tunnel of Love and several rollercoasters and Jack ended up throwing up because he completely ignored Ianto when the Welshman told him not to fill up on cotton candy before going on the rollercoasters.
Then there were games and Jack won Ianto a giant teddy bear which Ianto ended up having to carry. Ianto sighed and then after spotting something thrust the teddy bear into Jack's arms. "Don't wonder off," Ianto said.
"I'm not a child Ianto," Jack said. Ianto resisted the urge to roll his eyes and was back several minutes earlier holding a TARDIS- or well police box since he doubted the guy he had won it from would know what the TARDIS looked like- keychain.
"I figured you might want something to remind you of the Doctor since you don't have his hand anymore," Ianto said quietly hoping that no one over heard. Jack looked incredibly happy and sad at the same time and tried to hug Ianto but couldn't because of the teddy bear.
Jack pouted. "Maybe I shouldn't have won you this," he said.
Ianto laughed. "Come on let's go home," he said.
"Your place or mine?" The day ended with activities that made them both forget about the teddy bear and keychain for a while.
