Camp Half-blood vs. The Hunt: Entrance of the Mysterious Blond
Perseus aka Percy Jackson breathed haggardly as he watched several shining silver arrows pierce the hide of the manticore he and his companions had been fighting. His form slackened as the adrenaline that had been pumping in his system slowly faded.
The manticore roared in pure agony as he pulled an arrow that had pierced through his thigh. "YOU!" Dr. Thorne screamed with blood red eyes as he turned to face the direction the arrows had come from.
From the trees stepped out twenty or so young females, all looking to be close in age to Perseus. Their silvery apparel stood out in the night, almost as radiant as the moon. Most had hunting knives made of silver, except for the girl at the front of the group. She had a bow out and she was glaring at the foul beast with intense hatred. Also, unlike the other girls she had a silver circlet around her jet black hair.
"And people say I'm obsessed with the color blue." The son of Poseidon thought with a deadpan. He glanced to his right and fought down the blush that tried to creep upon his face.
His beautiful and extremely smart 'friend,' Annabeth Chase, recollected her composure and breathed in relief, "The hunters.." The thankfulness in her voice was palpable.
The same could not be said for his tall, ill-tempered, and punk styled cousin, Thalia Grace, as she tightened her grip on her spear and her electric-blue eyes actually gave off sparks. "Oh great, it's them." Those words were spit out of her mouth like acid as she glared at the girl drawing her bow to finish off the manticore.
Percy absently shivered from Thalia's aggressiveness towards these so-called hunters as he returned Riptide into its pen form; however, he kept it in his grasp for any bad surprises that might pop up.
The girl drew her arrow further, aiming at Thorne's head and asked, "Permission to shoot, my lady?"
"You can't do this! This-this is a violation of the Ancient Laws!" Thorne bit out much like a rabid animal in pain. "Fuck, I can't fight anymore. The silver has completely drained all of my power, my only chance would be to teleport, but that damn Nightshade will put an arrow in my head before I can get away! My best bet would be to hop off the cliff, but even then…" Thorne sweat, as he sought ways to avoid his impending doom, hoping his appeal to the Ancient Laws would make this group reconsider their actions.
"On the contrary," Thorne nearly pissed his pants when he heard that voice, he hadn't expected her of all people to be here with the hunt. Thorne's face went as pale as a sheet of paper as he watched a young girl walk to the front of the group and stop by the ferocious ravenette that was locked in and ready to fire at a moment's notice.
Wild untamed, auburn hair framed this girl's face and her eyes were white and had an eerie glow, just like the moon. She had a silver bow and a quiver of arrows strapped to her back and the tell-tale handles of hunting knives sticking out from two sheaths, each on opposing sides of her hunting.
"My domain allows me to hunt down all wild animals. Last, I checked your kind falls into that category, Manticore."
Percy took a step back in apprehension of the overpowering presence this girl had. It almost reminded him of Hades' presence.
"You have my permission to end this foul beast, Zoe." The powerful girl said to the now named Zoe beside her.
"You-you cur! I'll be back and I'll rip apart your little hunters piece by piece!" Thorne yelled in a crazed voice, angered at being addressed as an animal.
The eyes of Zoe narrowed with anger as she prepared to let go of the arrow and send the monster back the world under.
"Hold up, hold up. Now, let's not do anything rash. I need him alive, y'know."
The demigods of Camp Half-blood and the hunters tensed and tried to find where the muffled voice came from.
"Show your presence right now, before I make you regret it, man." The auburn haired girl stated with narrowed eyes as she drew her knives out of their sheaths. "Why can't I feel his presence?!"
Thorne, seeing that the attention had been taken away from him, turned around and prepared to jump off the cliff.
"Not so fast now, buddy. Freeze!" The voice declared powerfully.
The demigods and hunters turned just in time to see the horror-filled eyes of Thorne as the blood that had been freely flowing from his wounds covered his entire figure and soon Thorne rapidly froze from his toes and upwards to his face, became a hyper realistic crimson ice sculpture in a blink of an eye.
Percy audibly gulped as his hold on Riptide tightened. Thalia and Annabeth respectively had their spear and combat knife at hand, ADHD going into overdrive trying to find the source of the voice, which had just frozen their foe solid. The hunters spaced out and some even ran up the nearby trees to get a better vantage point and the auburn teen stared at the frozen manticore. "I didn't even feel a godly spike of energy, he completely froze over just like that."
"Come out and face thy reckoning like a man." Zoe growled out in frustration.
"No need to shout, I'm right here." Zoe quickly whipped to her left, arrow fully drawn, and came face to face with an empty space. Now, before she could yell at the heckling of the voice, small and shiny particles started dispersing around the space and soon, a towering figure was standing in the space.
He towered over Zoe's 5'4 frame at an imposing height of 6'5, long, crimson, spiky, and mane-like hair flowed to his back. His face was covered in a mask with the face of a laughing fox displayed on it. He had an unbuttoned black trench coat on top of his white tank top, which accentuated the man's physical stature. He also had black combat pants and black combat shoes on. All in all, this man was a fearsome figure to behold.
Artemis, the auburn haired girl, narrowed her eyes at the man feeling something off about him. The hunters discarded their knives and quickly drew their bows and were now aiming at the man standing in front of their sister. The demigods kept their guards up as they crouched protectively around the dazed Grover and Di'Angelo siblings.
"Who art thou, man? And why should I not eviscerate you like the swine you are?" Zoe harshly asked him, ready to pierce his skull with her arrow.
"Aw, you forgot who I am?" he smirked under his mask and dramatically put his hand over his heart as if he had gotten struck, "You'd think you'd remember your partner in crime, Princess." His hidden smirk widened as recognition slowly made its way through Zoe's eyes.
The hunters and Artemis almost gasped at the audacity of the man who called the lieutenant of the hunt the taboo word. Zoe's eyes widened in recognition and quickly turned into anger and she shot her arrow aiming for his left eye. The demigods and some of the hunt gasped at Zoe's action and Artemis prepared to flash and catch the speeding arrow as she had questions for the bizarre character.
Just as the arrow was almost embedded into the man's eye, he suddenly grabbed the arrow from the air. The onlookers were shocked at how fast his hand had moved from his side to near his face. The older hunters openly stared at him with amazement, not many were able to grab a speeding arrow from the air nowadays.
"His reaction time is through the roof! It might be on par with Hermes's reaction speed!" The moon goddess was more tense than ever and she quickly sped over to the pair before Zoe had any other ideas.
Naruto held the silver arrow at a distance as he analyzed it. "Hm, draining properties?" He looked away from the arrow to the face of an angry yet hot Zoe. She drew another arrow and kept the aim steady on his head. Naruto held up his hands in surrender as he stuffed the arrow into one of his pockets.
"You dare show thy filthy face to me?" Zoe asked in pure anger.
"Well, technically, I'm not showing my face." the man remarked, as he watched the girl's eyes narrow even more.
"Nor will thy be showing it in thee casket," Zoe bit back as she prepared to shoot again.
"That's enough Zoe." Artemis walked between the two to cool the conflict, her hands on her knife's handle just in case Naruto suddenly attacked.
"But, Milady…" Zoe's indignation died when she saw the look in Artemis' eyes. The goddess turned to the man and asked, "And who exactly are you?"
"So this is my dear younger sister? She's not bad-looking at all, but she's just like the rest of them." He thought darkly. He quickly cleared his throat and presented himself, "I'm Uzumaki Naruto, but my friends, like Nightshade over there, call me Kitsune." He said this in a friendly manner, but his voice was significantly more serious compared to how he had bantered with Zoe.
Artemis raised a delicate brow at the man as she discreetly scanned him. Now, a certain love goddess would declare that Artemis was checking him out, but Artemis squashed that thought immediately.
"He's a fighter. A very dangerous one." She thought apprehensively. "Naruto? That's quite the particular name. How do you know my lieutenant?"
"Well, me and her go back from a while, ain't that right, Princess?" Naruto teased the shaking hunter, knowing she couldn't act up.
Artemis' eyes narrowed at her lieutenant, who squirmed under her gaze. The "We'll talk about this later." went unsaid. Zoe groaned and settled for glaring at Naruto.
"And may I ask why you are here-" Artemis tentatively asked, well tried to ask. Suddenly, there was a medium length xiphos, a Greek one-handed double edged sword, made of Celestial Bronze pointing at Naruto's neck.
Annabeth and Thalia facepalmed at the act of courage/stupidity that Percy had just performed. Artemis and her hunters sighed and shook their heads at typical hothead male behavior, except for Zoe, who quietly hoped that Naruto wouldn't turn the son of the sea into a literal puddle.
Percy narrowed his sea eyes at the towering man, "How do we know you're not one of Luke's spies? You did say you needed Thorne alive." He finished with an accusatory glare.
"First off," Riptide suddenly went heavy in Percy's hands and fell to the ground, dragging Percy down with it. As the half-blood struggled to pick the now heavy weapon, he froze as he felt an ominous presence bearing down on him. He looked up and inside the eye slits of Naruto's mask, Percy would swear for a long time to come that he saw golden eyes with weird comma-like markings "it's rude to just point pointy things at people."
"Secondly, I'm not with that delusional brat, Castellan. I'm on official Underworld business for my boss, Hades." The hidden smirk widened as everyone was really on edge now, especially Thalia who seemed to be going through a traumatic episode. Percy wisely clamped up his mouth and focused on pulling Riptide out of the ground. That was until Naruto grabbed him by the neck and picked him off the ground, a malicious aura flowing off him like an angry river.
"I should kill you where you stand, Jackson," Naruto snapped, "Putting the siblings in danger and almost potentially starting a war between old bag of bones and the shrimp god...You're damn lucky your campmates managed to draw the fight out long enough that the hunt could save your soggy looking face. Know this Son of Poseidon, your actions will have consequences. Do you understand?" Naruto's anger was almost tangible at this point, Percy nodded rapidly as his face was slowly turning his favorite color and it looked like Percy would be a permanent resident of the Underworld anytime soon. Annabeth clenched her jaw, she knew she couldn't do anything. It'd just put her friend in more danger.
"Enough, Naruto," The young auburn girl said as she walked forward. The blonde man released his hold on Percy's shirt and dropped him unceremoniously on the snowy grass. Percy, while cradling his throat and greedily gulping down mouthfuls of oxygen, took this time to look over the fifteen/sixteen year old that approached. She was, without a doubt, breathtakingly beautiful with long auburn hair and silvery-yellow eyes. Milky skin reflected in the moonlight, she was such a beauty that he felt his heart skip a beat.
"What does my uncle want?" Artemis asked Naruto, slowly cursing the small headache that she felt incoming.
Naruto yawned as he crossed his arms behind his head, "He wants me to escort his brats to that foolish wannabe hero camp." Naruto nonchalantly said as he gestured in the direction of the brother and sister recollecting themselves behind the satyr.
Members of the said foolish camp bristled at the insult, until they realized what he just said.
"His kids?" This was the collective thought of everyone in the clearing, Artemis pinched her nose and sighed in defeat, "Father is not going to like this."
"Well, I should go calm them down and explain. Can we camp with you tonight?" Naruto walked away from the struggling form of Percy, who was still trying to pick up his sword, and headed for the siblings, not waiting for Artemis' answer. Said goddess brow twitched dangerously, before she signaled for her hunters to set up camp.
Thalia and Annabeth did not bother to try to stop Naruto and rushed to Percy's side to respectively mock and help him. Naruto nodded at Grover, "I'll take it from here, good job goat boy." He said as he patted the satyr on the back. Grover flushed a bit, before he nodded his head and walked towards the struggling Percy.
He took a long look at the siblings. The girl looked to be fourteen, with long black hair hidden under a floppy cap, olive skin and dressed in bland clothing, something that doesn't stick out when in a crowd. Slightly behind her was a boy three years her junior, with the same hair and skin, but dressed more like a friendly twelve year old. The girl's wide black eyes were locked on Naruto's imposing figure in slight apprehension.
"Who-what are you people?" She asked, as she gripped the awestruck Nico protectively. Naruto just smiled at her question and crouched down to meet her at the eye level.
"Bianca D'Angelo, it's a pleasure to finally meet you," He turned the younger brother, "and you must be Nicolas."
A flash of emotion appeared in the eyes of Bianca, Naruto narrowed his eyes through his mask and filed that away. But, Nico was a whole different story. He jumped out of Bianca's protective grip and started blurting out questions after questions at Naruto.
"How did you turn Mr. Thorne into ice?"
" Well, I-"
"Are you some kind of super mutant?"
"I guess-"
"Are you here to tell us that we got super mutant powers too and you're here to take us to some sort of training place for mutants like us? Please, say yes! I wonder, what powers do I have? Maybe, I can control souls just like Hades!" The young boy exclaimed, while he fantasized.
Bianca blushed in embarrassment at Nico's rambling and swiftly covered his mouth, "Nico, Shut. Up."
Naruto just shook his head in amusement at the childish boy, "To be fair, you're not that far off, Nico. You two are the children of Hades, Lord of the Underworld." Bianca's hand slacked from Nico's mouth, and said boy just started jumping in excitement.
Naruto sighed, "It's going to be a long night."
Naruto sat around a fire with the timid Bianca and the overly zealous Nico. "Is he really a son of Hades? He acts more like a dark-haired son of Apollo." He sweatdropped. He looked around and saw that the hunters had set up camp. The campers had been provided one big tent and supplies, Thalia looked aghast from getting something from the hunters, but she kept her mouth zipped. Grover had immediately crashed inside the tent and was soundly asleep, all the excitement must've tired him. Naruto shot a glance to the other two campers and bit down a laugh. Percy was still straining against his sword and Annabeth just stood back analyzing everything.
"So," He turned his attention back to the tentative Bianca, "you're telling me we're demigods? Our dead father is actually Hades and you're one of his underlings?" She asked in a unbelieving voice.
"Well, it's more of a partnership, but I guess you can put it like that." Naruto said, while stretching his arms.
"Right, this is me going crazy, isn't it?" Bianca slumped down, "How do I know that this isn't all a big dream?" She finished in an accusatory way. Naruto did not deign to answer her and instead stared at the younger sibling.
"You seem deep in thought, Nico." Naruto remarked
Nico's head perked up and he blushed slightly, "I was thinking like, that bus driver…"
Bianca eyes widened in recognition, "So, we weren't seeing things then?" She rhetorically asked her brother.
"I told you he had goat legs, just like that Grover guy." Nico said to his sister in a haughty tone. Bianca rolled her eyes and pushed him off his log. Naruto smiled at the siblings, but frowned as he felt Bianca's emotions. "Her psyche is too fragile, the last thing we need is another Hitler." He reached into one of the interior pockets of his trench coat. He pulled out a figurine, "Hey Nico, catch." Nico barely caught the figurine, but his eyes lit up when he recognized it.
"Hades! How'd you get him? He's like the rarest one!" Nico was a huge fan of the game Mythomagic. Collecting the necessary figurines had been one of his favorite pastimes while they were living in the casino.
Naruto just smiled under his mask, "Why don't you go to Annabeth over? I'm sure she'll love to learn how to play." He gestured to the blonde girl, who was just looking at the antics of Percy in exasperation. Nico excitedly got up and headed for Annabeth, "Now before we talk, let me help little kelp head," He snapped his fingers and suddenly Percy finally succeeded in pulling out his sword. Naruto sweatdropped as he watched the green eyed boy kiss his sword and he also saw Annabeth crouching down to talk to Nico. "Good, he's in good hands."
He turned to Bianca who was slightly shaking, something a regular person would have barely noticed. He sighed and took off his porcelain mask. Bianca's turbulent eyes zeroed in on the face of this mysterious boy and vainly tried to fight down a blush. Naruto had a cut and aristocratic face, with a narrow nose, and vibrant blue-green eyes.
"What's on your mind?" Bianca was once again caught off guard, but this time by the smooth voice that emanated from Naruto's mouth.
"Well, this is just…" Bianca said somberly, "crazy."
Naruto nodded in agreement, "I know what you're feeling more than you know. But," Bianca's head snapped up and she once again blushed when she saw the small smile on Naruto's face, "You have your brother, father, and me. We-well, I will watch over you. You don't have to worry about a thing, you are my family now."
There was a brief silence between the two, Bianca thought and realized things could be much worse. "So, this camp… What is it like?"
"Well, I've never been there, but it's apparently the safest place for demigods to take refuge." Naruto answered, a bit of sarcasm evident in his voice.
"And we're going to be living there?" Bianca asked, as she fixed a bang that was covering her eye.
"Hm, the million dollar question." Naruto thought, "Nico and I will definitely be there for a while, you might not depending on what you decide." He finished cryptically.
"What do you mean what I decide-" She was interrupted by the sound of footsteps. The two turned around and saw Zoe walking towards them.
Zoe had changed into a simple t-shirt and sweatpants. Her braided hair was now loose and freely cascading on her back.
"Milady requires the presence of thee Bianca." She said to the girl with a small smile, which promptly disappeared when she turned her gaze to Naruto, "She requires thy repugnant presence as well, Uzumaki." She bit this out in an extremely bitter tone.
Naruto paid no mind to Zoe and told Bianca, "Head to the biggest tent in the camp, Artemis will be waiting for you. I can sense that the kelp head is with her, so she's most likely going to interrogate you two about Thorne."
"Bu-but what about you?" Bianca stuttered timidly.
"I'll be right behind you, but Nightshade and I have some unfinished business." He gestured to the girl that was glaring at him.
Bianca swallowed and nodded her head. She got up and swiftly headed for Artemis' tent, but not before sending a worried glance to Naruto.
Naruto got up and also started walking towards the tent, only stopping when he got blocked off by Zoe.
He smirked at her in a playful way, "Did you miss me that much?"
The huntress bristled and shot back saying, "As much as a pig misses cleanliness."
"Ouch." He sidestepped Zoe and entered the camp. He ignored Zoe's staring and saw that the other hunters were 'secretly' glancing at him and probably wondering why their beloved lieutenant was doing with the tall mysterious man. Some of the younger members openly stared at him longingly as he passed by their tents heading for the center.
"They must've not gotten totally indoctrinated yet." Naruto thought with a scoff. Just as he reached the tent, Zoe finally snapped, "Well? I thought thee had business to settle with me?"
Naruto sighed and turned to the shorter girl, very discreetly sizing her up and admiring her toned body. What? He was no pervert, but even he had to admire beauty when he saw it. "I was hoping you would enlighten me on why you're so mad." He said while picking his nose.
Zoe saw red. She glared at Naruto in open disgust and white hot anger, "Thou meanest thee hath forgotten thy vile action?" Now, Naruto just stared at the girl in bewilderment and confusion. The expression was sent back to him hundredfold, "The-thee forgot that thee had kis-"
"What?! She can't! She has to come to camp with us." This exclamation interrupted the girl and caused the blond to sigh in frustration at the sound of a now familiar annoying pubescent voice. He quickly entered the tent, Zoe completely forgotten. Said girl twitched horribly as she followed the blond.
The tent was very spacious, supplies and weapons were hung up. Artemis was sitting on an assortment of exotic animal skins. Across her was a seated Bianca, who looked in deep thought, and a standing Percy, who was staring down at Artemis.
Naruto crossed his arms as he sat down next to Bianca. She looked up from her thoughts and was relieved to see Naruto next to her.
Zoe walked up to Percy, openly glaring. "Who are thee to speak like that to Milady? Do not overstep your boundaries, son of Poseidon." Now had Percy possessed the sense of survival instincts Zeus had installed in mortals, he would have bowed out and taken a seat. Percy was an idiot, idiots do not have such a sense. He turned to Naruto, "You're like her guardian right? Tell her she can't join the hunt. Her place is with the ca-"
A familiar presence crashed on him once again, this time; however, he could feel his body imprinting onto the clothed ground. "By golly, you are more pretentious and annoying than I was told." He said to the boy with closed eyes, "I was only told to escort Bianca and Nico to the camp. I was not told anything else. As long as I get her to the camp, my side of the bargain will be fulfilled. Ultimately, the decision is Bianca's." He finished as he finally let up his presence and allowed the sea spawn to breathe
Artemis nodded her head in approval and pointedly looked at Bianca. Zoe frowned slightly at Naruto and huffed at the son of the sea.
"Well," Bianca started, she glanced at Naruto and her eyes grew firm. "Thank you for the offer Lady Artemis, but I can't bail out on Nico like this. Maybe in a different life, but in this one I know I got a family that'll stand by me." She finished this statement with a small smile targeted at Naruto.
Artemis sighed, but nodded in disappointment, "I understand you, I too have a sibling I cannot ever get rid of." She and Zoe twitched in annoyance as the thought of a grinning Adonis-like blond popped up. "Well, I got all I needed from you two. You can leave now, I pray all that you heard was a hoax." She said to Bianca and Percy.
"Goddesses pray?" Percy asked in a light tone and elicited a small laugh from Artemis. He got up and headed outside, visibly shaken from his second run-in with Naruto. Naruto and Bianca got up to leave too, but they were stopped at the exit.
"Naruto, please stay behind, I have several questions for you." Artemis stared at the back of the tall man.
"I'm sorry, but I only answer to Lord Hades." Naruto's tone was much more guarded and terse as he turned around to face the goddess. Zoe bristled at what she perceived to be disrespect toward her patron.
Artemis gestured to her lieutenant as she narrowed her eyes at the redhead, "You best watch your tone with me, boy." She started emitting a silvery aura and projected it towards Naruto. Bianca, who was unfortunately standing right next to Naruto, felt some of the projection and fell to her knees barely breathing. She looked up and froze in fright as she saw a majestic silver buck with its front legs raised and ready to trample her. But, suddenly a feeling of warmth and protection wrapped around her. She traced the feeling to Naruto, who was now too emitting an aura similar to Artemis' aura. Naruto's normally crimson hair had specks of white and his projection was a white nine-tailed fox made of pure white fire with golden markings.
"Be-beautiful" Bianca blurted out in amazement, she stared at Naruto in wonder and didn't even bother to fight down the creeping blush.
"Listen to me Olympian. Lord Hades is only associated with Olympus just for the sake of balancing the power between Poseidon and Zeus. You think he wouldn't cut all things with Olympus just because you tried to forcibly interrogate one of his?" Naruto's eyes narrowed as he felt Artemis increase her aura in lividness. He matched up by increasing his own and more of his hair turned a snowy white.
"You have the audacity to speak like that to me?" Artemis finally bit out, her aura died down and so did Naruto's. "Your actions will have consequences." She finished with narrowed eyes.
Naruto just scoffed at the goddess and gestured to Bianca to follow him out. Zoe stared at his back before turning to her mistress.
"Did you feel it? Anymore and I would've been in my divine state." Artemis' eyes narrowed at Zoe, who did not seem very surprised. She continued, "His power concerns me. Zoe, I demand you to tell me who that man is." Zoe nodded, in slight apprehension as she had never seen her patron so shaken. A cold sweat dripped down from Artemis' back. "If he went all out and caught me off guard, I'd be dominated." Artemis knew she wasn't at the top of the Olympian pyramid, but she was damn near close and this young boy was possibly her equal, "By us, where did Hades fetch this one?"
Naruto stepped out and inhaled the fresh air, "Go to where Nico is and get some sleep. I have a feeling that we'll be leaving soon." He gave Bianca a light tap on the shoulder and the young girl nodded, but gave Naruto a small hug from his back.
"Thank you." Her words were muffled by his coat but he still heard. She shyly let go of him and ran to the tent that had been designated for the campers. Naruto looked around and saw that most of the hunters had already retired for the night. When he was sure there wasn't anyone around, he dispersed himself into familiar white particles that flew out of the camp and reformed into Naruto in front of a certain frozen manticore.
Naruto stared impassively at the figure and raised his hand and grasped Thorne's head.
"Motion."
Thorne's body defrosted as his normal body color returned with the unperturbed motion of blood. His chest started faintly rising up and down. He would've eventually woken up, but was not to be.
"Extract."
Naruto pulled his hand back from Thorne's head and in his grasp was an ethereal toxic purple orb. The body of manticore decayed and turned into dust before his eyes. No. Not the golden dust. Thorne was no more and he would never walk in the Underworld nor the world above it ever again. Naruto stared at the orb, before lifting his shirt and pressing it against his exposed navel. A sun-like tattoo appeared and it seemingly absorbed the orb.
"Another one? Really?" came the voice of Kurama in head, "Keep this up and I'll have to go on strike for unsavory labor procedures." The kitsune snarked lightly to Naruto.
Naruto looked towards the sky where the actual cosmic body of the moon laid. "He might take a while, he's bound to have been around for at least several centuries.
Kurama's eyes narrowed in seriousness, "What are you looking for specifically?"
"Anything that can help figure out what the titans are planning." Naruto sighed as he pressed his nose, "The gods, except for Hades and Poseidon, foolishly discarded Jackson's warnings. We must be ready to strike whenever Olympus decides to take this matter seriously. I may despise the humans of this world, but I'm not going to let millions of lives be lost because of Zeus' actions. Even if some may argue, that they deserve it."
Kurama rolled his eyes, "Of course, I'll get to sifting the useful information out of his soul. But, speaking about Hades…"
Naruto gained a wicked smile, "I'm glad to see you noticed."
Kurama nodded a bit enthusiastically, he could feel Naruto's presence ascending everyday. "When you came here, you were as strong as Shukaku. But, now you could easily go toe to toe with Kokuō and win.
Naruto stayed quiet as he listened to Kurama. Kurama was the one regulating and watching over his body.
"Furthermore," Kurama laid down his chin on his crossed arms, "you almost forced that Artemis hottie to release her full power. Looks like Hades' plan for gaining you recognition is working."
"You don't say." Naruto muttered as he held his hand out for the snowflakes that were freely falling from the sky. "We need to speed up our plans, I need to be a full-fledged god by the winter solstice."
"Calm down will you?" Kurama bit out to him, "The recognition you got from Hades, Persephone, and Poseidon largely increased your power. And the passive recognition you collect daily from the mortals increase your godly aspects incrementally. Once you get recognition from that camp and at least two more Olympians, you'll at last be a god.
Naruto nodded in agreement, a golden grain-sized particle floated above his outstretched hand. Soon, other particles raced to his hand seemingly attracted to the golden one. Naruto narrowed his eyes and willed some to spin clockwise and the rest counterclockwise and soon a spinning white energy orb with a golden core was swirling in his hand.
He stared down the cliff and spotted a gigantic rock formation. He lifted his hand and threw the energy orb at said formation.
Cosmic style: Rasengan
The orb impacted the rock and engulfed it, grinding it into fine dust. The energy slowly dissipated, the shiny particles freely flying once again. Half of the rock formation was gone, the orb had impacted from the side. There was an ugly swirl mark left on the side of the remaining rock.
"In three weeks time, Mother, in three weeks time." Naruto thought as he looked out towards the horizon.
TO BE CONTINUED
Yo, what's goodie? It's ya boy, Chocolate Papi Supreme. JK, JK, it's me ya faithful Rai. So, here is chapter 3. Naruto has met the hunters, Percy and his group, and even openly stood in opposition to Artemis. Yikes, our man got some balls.
I want to make one thing clear. I will not be bashing on Percy. I repeat, I will not be bashing on Percy. Many authors do that and that's their preference. I, on the other hand, will like to include some character development of side characters. Our boy Percy will have to mature, especially under the care of Naruto.
Also, this is a major shift from canon. But, in this fic, we are currently in the year 2018.
Naruto is 23, technically several thousand years old but y'know.
Percy and Annabeth are 16, both born in 2002.
Thalia is 17, but is actually 22. She's born in 1998.
Grover is still the same age, as his satyr genes cause his age to not matter much.
Bianca is 15 and Nico is 12, both being born in 1921 and 1924 respectively.
The other important campers all range from 15-17.
Jason, Leo, Piper, Mark, Hazel and Reyna who will all eventually appear in the next book will be different ages as well.
My reason for changing the years is simple. The penultimate fight is in two books, two years in other words. What's 2018 plus 2? That's right. 2020. What a fitting year to have a cataclysmic fight.
Naruto has levelled up in some major ways and has established several strong connections with none other than Hades and… Poseidon? But, how? Do they know his true identity? He hates humans? What? Why? Well, you'll have to keep reading to find out. I've sprinkled some ideas here and there in this chapter. Like the fact that Zoe is seemingly very familiar with our friend and the weird vision Percy gets when they meet.
I'm aware that Artemis, Thalia, Annabeth, and Artemis did not get much spotlight. The latter two will definitely be more included in the next chapter. Artemis had a decent amount of attention and she's not very much important at the moment.
Also, at the end of our book, Naruto will be on par with the Big Three. This is in three weeks time as I changed the events to two weeks before solstice week. Therefore, Naruto will have two weeks at the camp helping out the campers and getting some damn recognition. The two weeks will be all of the next chapter, the chapter after will be the capture the flag game and the start of the quest. I should be dropping the next chapter anywhere from three weeks from now.

Freeze: User orders water molecules inside and on a target to stop mobility and literally freeze. Technique has cryogenic properties, thus the target can be brought back by healing methods. Suspends all internal damage.
Motion: Orders immobile atoms to start gaining kinetic force and move. In this case, it was used to jumpstart Thorne's atoms to thaw him out.
Extract: Allows the user to take the soul of the target.
Cosmic style-Rasengan: The classic rasengan we all know and love, but form in a completely different way. It's a one hitter quitter against most beings.
