Hello everyone and welcome to chapter thirteen of Pokemon Delta Emerald. If you haven't heard about the recents announcements that Nintendo has made about the new pokemon games they are amazing. My favorite pokemon games are Diamond and Pearl and I'm excited for the three games. I'm going to do stories for all of them eventually. In fact I already have a rough outline for Diamond and Pearl that will be redone eventually to go with the new remakes. Anyways I plan to do all the games as I've already stated. After the Battle Frontier sequel for this story I plan to start at Fire red and Leaf green. Anyways that's all for now enjoy chapter thirteen.
Ryan woke up early as he got up and took his daily shower. He got dressed in his usual garb of athletic gear as he put on his signature white beanie. He brushed his teeth and walked out to see May waiting on him.
"You get finished I got to call my mom," Ryan said.
May nodded as she went into the bathroom. Ryan walked out into the pokémon center lobby as he sat down at the video phone. He dialed the number for his house as his mom, Darla, answered. She waved at her son as she was excited that he called. She saw that May had won the contest on the news.
"Ryan, how are you?" Darla asked.
"I'm doing fine mom," Ryan said.
"I'm so excited for May I saw the news this morning," Darla said.
"Yeah, I'm excited as well... I'm going to Fallabor next."
Darla nodded as she had never heard of the small town. She knew however that Ryan was getting closer to his father. He needed one more badge to take on his father. Ryan was excited that his battle with his father grew close. He wanted to prove that he was a good trainer to his dad. May came into view as she sat with Ryan.
"There's the winner! How are you doing?" Darla asked.
"I'm doing great Mrs. Hoffman," May said.
"Oh, call me Darla," Darla said.
May nodded as she knew that they had to be going soon. Pikachu was sitting on May's shoulder as she looked around the lively pokémon center. Pikachu loved the energy as Ryan decided to end the call.
"All right mom I got to get going. We have a long journey to Fallabor Town," Ryan said.
Darla nodded as she waved goodbye. The screen went black as Ryan and May got up and headed on out to the town. They walked through the streets of Verdanturf as they thought of how they were going to get to Fallabor Town.
"So, we're going to have to go back to Mauville and then go to Route 111 and 112. Then we should reach Fallabor Town," Ryan explained.
"We'll stop for the night in Mauville I assume?" May asked.
"Yeah, we'll actually stop and camp at Route 111," Ryan answered.
May sighed as she hated to camp but knew they needed to get their as quickly as possible. May still had obligations to show up for media at the Fallabor contest. It was the second to last contest as they wouldn't have to worry anymore until the last contest in Sootopolis city.
"Well at least you aren't alone," Ryan said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," May said.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
May nodded as she held her Pikachu and hugged it. Pikachu nuzzled its head on her neck as she let it down and it ran ahead of the two lovers. Ryan and May eventually reached Mauville in record time as they went north towards Route 111. They took a lunch break as they were exhausted and hungry. They eat sandwiches they bought at the Mauville cafe as they were finally on their way to Fallabor Town.

Ryan and May were walking along Route 111 as night fell upon them. They knew they needed to get to a suitable place to setup camp as they saw the next part of Route 111 which was engulfed in a desert storm.
"Dang it looks like we can't go exploring up there," Ryan said.
"Don't worry we can always come back if we need to," May said.
Ryan nodded as he saw a big house with a sign in front of it. He read the sign as it read the Winstrate House.
"Maybe we can ask if we can stay here for the night?" May asked.
"Would be better than camping... Let's give it a shot," Ryan said.
They went up the steps to the house and rang the doorbell as an man about forty years old answered.
"Hello, I'm Victor who are you?" Victor asked.
"Hi, we're looking for a place to stay for the night," Ryan said.
Ah yes you can stay with my family for the night if you promise to do one thing," Victor said.
"Sure, what do you want us to do?" Ryan asked.
"We want you to battle my whole family. I can tell you're a trainer," Victor said.
"Yeah, I have three badges," Ryan said.
"Then you don't mind?" Victor asked.
"No not at all... but can we do it tomorrow?" Ryan requested.
"Of course! Come on in we're just about to have dinner," Victor said as he let them in.
Victor ran to the kitchen in the large spacious two story house. Ryan sat down as an old lady sat next to him and flipped the news on.
"Hello, you're the girl on the tv. I'm Vicky and I'm the matriarch of the family," Vicky introduced.
"Victoria, Vivi! We have guests!" Victor called out to the kitchen.
Two women came out as one was about Ryan and May's age. The other one appeared to look the same age as Victor. They all brought out extra plates as they sat at the dinner table.
"Come join us! Mom bring the guest," Victor said.
Vicky grabbed Ryan and May and dragged them to the dining room where the food was set on the table.
"Ah you're the girl from the news," the young girl said.
"Yes, my name is May, and this is Ryan. What's your name?" May asked.
"Name is Vivi, and this is my mom Victoria," Vivi introduced.
"Hello young ones," Victoria greeted.
They were handed a plate as they had a grabbed some food and began to eat. Ryan was glad they didn't have to camp tonight as he was worried that the wildlife would be more active around here.
"So, you won the contest in Verdanturf?" Victoria asked.
"Yes, ma'am I hope to win the finals and beat Lisia," May answered politely.
"Well, if you work hard you can achieve anything," Vicky said.
They all nodded in agreement as they talked and eat dinner. Eventually they finished and cleaned up as Vivi showed them to the guest room. It only had one bed, but they decided to share anyways. Pikachu hopped into the bed as Ryan and May changed into sleep clothes and fell asleep.

May and Ryan sat at the dining room table as they were eating a light breakfast with the Winstrate family. Ryan had battled them earlier as he beat them all. They grabbed their bags as they said goodbye to the interesting family.
"It was nice having you over," Victor said.
"It was nice to be welcomed for the night," Ryan said.
"Yeah, thanks for having us," May said.
They all waved as they continued towards Route 112. Ryan was energetic as he felt the adrenaline still course through his veins from the battles, he had against the Winstrate family.
"Ryan you okay?" May asked as she was wondering why he so quiet.
"Yeah, I'm fine... I'm just wondering about what the next gym will be like," Ryan answered.
May nodded as she understood why he was nervous now. She hoped that he would get over it as he was usually not this nervous about a gym battle. She knew that he would win however as he always had. They walked through Route 112 as they approached the mountain cable car service. They saw that it was blocked by those same red hooded guys from Route 110. Ryan decided to take the long way as they were needed in Fallabor Town anyways. They decided to take a break and listen to the red hooded weirdoes.
"I wonder what the boss will do if those Team Aqua grunts try anything?" the first grunt asked.
"We know Team Magma will prosper no matter what! Those Aqua dorks will be squashed like a bug!" the other grunt shouted.
Ryan finally figured out who they were as he assumed that Team Aqua had a rival team called Team Magma. May was growing concerned that something bigger was going on as she wondered why the two teams were planning. They decided to go into the cave known as the fiery path. They walked in as steam shot out from behind the rocks. It was very warm here as they were in a volcano. It was a short path as most of the cave was blocked off by the big boulders.
"Wow it's really hot in here," Ryan said.
"We're in the base of a mountain that has a volcano," May said.
"I hate hot temperatures... I'm used to the cool breeze of Olivine," Ryan said.
They would eventually make it back to the north side of Route 112. Ryan stopped as the night was upon them. They were forced to take a break as they didn't want to travel in the night. Lucky for them there was a campground which they set up their tents and started a fire. They grabbed their snacks as they sat by the fire.
"Ryan are you scared of the powers you have?" May asked.
"To be honest I am... I just don't know what it is," Ryan answered.
The sun was setting as they watched it together. The mountain made the sunset even more beautiful as the sun disappeared behind the mountain range. Ryan was glad to be spending his time with May as he knew that she was probably the one. He had been thinking long about this, but he felt comfortable around her. He became a better person with her around as he knew that he could see spending the rest of his life with her. May got up and retired to her tent with Pikachu as Ryan stayed for little longer. Ryan eventually got up and left to his tent. He just hoped he wouldn't have his nightmares again. He hated how cryptic they were. They had something to do with his powers and he wanted to know more.
#
Ryan woke up as he was in a dark place. He saw three glowing orbs as he wondered what this meant. He heard three loud cries as he jumped up in his tent and looked around. He looked over at his phone and saw it was five in the morning.
"Damn nightmares," Ryan whispered to himself.
He got up and got dressed and walked out to the now extinguished fire as he sat down. He looked at the sunrise over the mountains as he was wondering what the three orbs meant. He didn't realize that May had just woke up as well as she felt something wasn't right. She walked outside to find her boyfriend kicking the ground. She could tell he was thinking about something as she sat down next to him. He jumped as he wasn't expecting her to be up this early. Pikachu ran out and hopped on her shoulder as May looked at Ryan.
"Ryan what's wrong," May asked.
"Nothing just had a weird dream," Ryan said.
May nodded as she knew that his dreams had to be connected to something as they were all about meteors and signs of legends. May was slowly growing concerned that he was chosen for something bigger than just the gym challenge.
"Ryan do you remember what your dream was about?" May asked.
"I saw three orbs. One was red and one was blue. The glowing one was green," Ryan answered.
May nodded as she had no clue as to what the orbs meant. The only connection she could make was the tablets they saw in Granite Cave. She cursed herself as she wished that they could see Steven again as he would probably know. She then wondered if Professor Cozmo would know anything about the weird happenings.
"I feel this is something bigger May. Like I'm meant to stop something catastrophic," Ryan said.
"I think you'll be fine," May said.
'At least I hope you will,' she thought to herself.
Ryan and May decided to get to Fallabor Town as they knew she was needed for the contest there. While she punched her ticket into the finals. She was required to attend the media day for the current finalists. May was nervous but excited to get to media day as she would be all over tv. Ryan was excited for her as well as he knew that this was her dream. They finished packing as the sun was up high shining over them.
"You ready?" May asked.
"Yep," Ryan said.
Ryan and May headed out towards Route 113 as they noticed the ash was filling the air. Ryan coughed as he knew they had to brave the route. Ryan battled some trainers as he trained for his next gym fight. They eventually took a break as they were barely even close to Fallabor Town.
"This ash," May said as she coughed.
"Yeah, it's pretty bad. We haven't even made it halfway through the route," Ryan said as he sat on the log.
After a couple of minutes, they got up and continued towards Fallabor Town. It still rained ash as they wondered how people dealt with this like it was nothing. May and Ryan eventually made it to Fallabor Town as they checked into a pokémon center and took a long needed nap.
#
May finally woke up as she wondered where Ryan was. Pikachu looked around for him as she assumed that he went off outside to train. The small town had a lot less ash in the air as the town had a lot of gardens around the small houses. May saw Ryan training his Tentacool to fight the gym. He saw her as she came up to him and kissed him. He kissed back as they separated after a while.
"Tentacool Return," Ryan said.
"So maybe we should go and talk to the media?" May asked.
"Can you even bring me?" Ryan asked.
May nodded as she wanted to have Ryan with her. She didn't want to be alone with Cyndi as she knew she would instantly insult her. They walked together towards the tent where the interviews were being done. May and Ryan sat down as they heard a laugh they begun to dread.
"Well, well if it isn't the tomboy and her boy toy," Cyndi laughed.
"Not now Cyndi," May said.
"You don't deserve to be here you know," Cyndi said.
"I do too!" May yelled.
"I think you got really lucky that's all I got to say to you," Cyndi said.
She walked off as the cameras caught the whole exchange on tape. Reporters hounded May demanding answers from her.
"May are you and Cyndi in an intense rivalry?" a reporter asked.
"I wouldn't say it was intense, but I feel sorry for her if she has to insult me every time she sees me. It makes me think she has some vulnerabilities or something like that," May answered.
Chaz overheard the comment as he was trying to hold back his laughter. He knew May had gained some confidence since their last encounter as he decided to say hello to her.
"Hey what's up guys," Chaz asked.
"Chaz, how are you?" May asked.
"I see you've gained some confidence since our last meeting," Chaz said.
"What I said was the truth though," May said.
"Yeah, I don't blame you... you should be angrier at her," Ryan said.
"Just don't let anger blind you too much. Cyndi will be very mad that you said that about her," Chaz said.
"Don't worry Chaz I can handle her," May said.
Chaz nodded as reporters hounded him about various questions. He answered some as May and Ryan stepped out of the tent so they could eat a late lunch at the cafe. They sat down as they were excited to see Professor Cozmo tomorrow. May hoped Cozmo would have some answers for them about Ryan's weird powers.
"Do you think this professor will have some answers for me?" Ryan asked.
"I'm pretty sure he will," May said.
Ryan nodded as he got his drink and food. May got hers as well as they began to eat the salad that was grown here. It was very fresh as the soil was very fertile in this town as they grew a lot of Hoenn's food here. They finished their food and went back to the tent to finish their media day. May was nervous as she saw a very upset Cyndi mouthing off to some reporter about the comments that May had made. Lisia came to find May answering questions to the reporters as they were curious about her Pikachu who had impressed many. Lisia had grown very proud of May and hoped she would face her. She just hoped she could get over her rivalry with Cyndi.
