Your mother and father have just gotten done berating me for the way that I talked to your wife last night. Although I did not appreciate their tones, I admit that there were more classful ways I could have gone about that conversation. Please tell Rose that I apologize for any distress that I may have caused her.
I am curious as to why she didn't just tell us all when we asked outright earlier in the evening. I feel as though distress on everyone's part could have been avoided if only you or she had been honest instead of lying. I thought that your parents might have raised you with more respect than to lie to your grandmother's face.

I completely understand if, in light of what happened yesterday, you would prefer not to come to dinner tonight. I will be sending food to you regardless so that you don't miss out completely. You're always welcome if you do change your mind, though.

EXCLUSIVE: ROSE WEASLEY'S PREGNANCY (Written by Rose Weasley)
By now the news of my pregnancy has reached four other news outlets which have all speculated as to the events of the Malfoy Christmas Eve Party and the unexpected announcement that I am expecting.
My husband, Scorpius, and I found out that we were expecting early this month, when I was only three weeks along. I am now into my sixth week and I'm happy to say that my first month checkup went well and the newest addition to the Weasley-Malfoy family is due in August, soon after the birth of my dear friend Alice Potter's first baby.
I was planning on keeping this pregnancy as low-key as possible for the time being, but I suppose that can be hard to do! The truth is that my husband's grandmother surmised what was happening at the Christmas Eve party and, not realizing that I wanted it to be a secret, mentioned that fact to me in the presence of several other people. I admit that I was so taken aback that my manners might have left me for a moment, which is why I left so abruptly. That said, my husband and I have agreed that I should share with you the reason that I was planning on keeping our news under wraps.
Without going into too much detail, this pregnancy is very high risk. My heart goes out to all of my fellow mothers out there who have dealt with issues of infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, and the like. You all may understand why I was hoping to wait until the end of my first trimester to make our news public.
For the duration of my pregnancy, I will be being constantly checked on by the best healers and my progress will be monitored with the utmost caution by both them and myself. My husband and I all hope that you all can be happy for us and support us through the duration of this.
I will not be keeping you all apprised of everything that happens during this pregnancy. In fact, this will be my last article about it until after I go into labor. Neither my husband nor myself wish to be bombarded by notes, gifts, or any of the like. We accept your well wishes and appreciate your care and respect for our privacy during this time.

I'm worried sick about you, dear. I don't know if Scorpius told you, but both of my boys were high-risk pregnancies, and I had a miscarriage between them and a stillbirth after Canopus. I'm here if you need someone to talk to.

I apologize if the way that I went about your pregnancy hurt you. I didn't realize that it would be high risk, as I assumed that with the amount of Weasleys running around your pregnancy would go smoothly. I felt very affronted that you had knowingly lied to me earlier in the night and felt that telling you outright with witnesses would be the best way to get the truth out of you and my grandson.
I had complications with several pregnancies when I was younger before and after I had Draco. Miscarriages and stillbirths and premature labors alike. Let me know if you need advice or if there's anything that I can do for you or the little Malfoy baby you're carrying.
