I love Janto: Jack will make sure he stays warm ad comfortable during their nap. The team will understand.

He had managed to find him. It wasn't his Jack but it was a version of his immortal lover, one very similar. Traveling though the universes somehow Ianto always found him.

"Its like the strings of the universe are joining you together. You always find him, Ianto. Or he finds you. Some people always find each other." Ianto hadn't believed River when she said that. Fate was an improbable concept.

Sometimes Jack wasn't exactly Jack. Not that any of the versions were really Jack but...

"Ianto." Jack said it in a breathless way and he looked like he could hardly believe it.

Ianto knows that he's different too, though out the universes. He doesn't always get along with himself. He always makes great coffee though.

"How are you here?" Jack asked. At that moment it hits Ianto that this version of Jack knows a Ianto that may very well be dead or who had left this place long ago.

"I'm not or at least your Ianto isn't."

Jack rubs his head sheepishly and looks a bit embarrassed. "I wouldn't really call him mine." Then he turns serious. "But who are you then?"

"Jones, Ianto Jones. From a universe very different from this one." Memories flash forward of when he first met his Jack and countless other Jacks. Jones, Ianto Jones. Later he would meet other Iantos, some of them got quite jealous. Why did he so often meet a version of Jack before he met a version of himself? "I'm just passing though."

"Lousy choice for a vacation spot. Well pleased to meet you Jones, Ianto Jones. Captain Jack Harkness." He holds out his hand but Ianto can't bring himself to take it. It feels so wrong that Jack is standing in front of him but its not his Jack. His Captain.

This idea took on a life of its own.
