Chapter 2: The Rust Knight Revealed
Jericho had just stormed off after talking with her brother Gustaf. He had made snide comments regarding her status as a Holy Knight. She would show him when became one of the most powerful holy knights. She entered a small tavern needing a strong drink. Inside was a few knights. She ordered the drink from the barman. She next to a table of four knights including the young squire who had come across the dead holy knights & Lilia but older. An elderly knight who was greying and looked like he was due to retire, laughed and boomed out "Alioni my boy. That is the funniest thing I ever heard."
Alioni, the young squire said serious, "Its true I tell you."
A tall skinny knight also amused said to Alioni, "Lady Lilia wouldn't hurt a fly."
The last knight, a short weedy man said, "Such a lovey woman she is. I cannot believe that she has mean bone in her body." The Old Knight and The Skinny Knight murmured in agreement.
Alioni said trying to convince them, "I don't know guys. I swear that I have seen evil in her eyes."
"Now now, Alioni my boy. The only evil that is around is The Seven Deadly Sins." The Old Knight stated as matter of fact.
Jericho interrupted with in her male voice, "Seven Deadly Sins?" The four knights did not seem bothered to been interrupted.
The Old Knight said friendly, "Hello my boy. I guess you are too young to know about them. Take a look of the wanted posters over there." Posters of Ban, Escanor, Diane, Gowther, King, Merlin and Meliodas were on the wall.
"They are The Seven Deadly Sins." The Short Knight said.
"Its was about ten years ago. There was an incident in which scores of Holy Knights from all over the kingdom gathered in one place only to be slaughtered by The Seven Deadly Sins. The Grandmaster of the Holy Knights was murdered with exceptional brutality. They said it was a sight no one could bear watch. Meliodas is the fearsome captain of The Seven Deadly Sins and there are rumours that he annihilated an entire country." The Old Knight told Jericho as a hooded figure entered the bar and headed over to the knights.
"Hello Gentleman," Lilia said but with a super confident voice bordering on arrogance. "Hendrickson is looking for you two. He said it was time to do with what he talked with you about." She said to The Short Knight and The Tall Knight. They both headed off not wanting to anger Hendrickson. Alioni paled at the sound her voice. Lilia glanced at the two of them before her glaze landed on Jericho. She ordered, "You come with me." Jericho followed her out of the bar despite Alioni trying to warn her not to. She said once they were outside, "You are a curious specimen."
"Sorry?" Jericho said confused and slipping into her normal voice.
"A beautiful woman pretending to be a man when she has no need to be." She stated matter of fact with her voice filled with desire as she took her hood off. Her eyes seemed to hum with power and filled with a dark look. Her hair was completely white. "You have great power lurking underneath. All it needs is a key to wake it up."
"I am a man." Jericho claimed, not wanting her secret to come out. Completely missing the part where Lilia claimed Jericho had power.
"Are you sure as you appear all women to me." Lilia said almost predatorily. Jericho looked down to find herself in some sexy pink armour without her helmet. Jericho was completely confused. Allowing Lilia to push her against the wall. She stole a kiss and at the same time felt something touching her neck. Lilia suddenly dropped her to the ground. She fell on the ground hard. Lilia collapsed onto the ground unconscious. A short woman with light skin, long black hair tied in two twin tails, dark pink eyes and wear a pair of glasses emerged from the gloom.
She said rather chipper and friendly, "Oh I am sorry." As she helped Jericho backed to her feet. She said rather sincere. "I am sorry for Lilia injecting you with our experimental formula of Demons blood, but she was high with power from our most recent experiment." She blew some sort of dust into Jericho's face. "You won't remember this meeting." The women, Valenti would check in with Jericho later since she was now part of the greater experiment. She looked at the unconscious Lilia and Jericho and wondered how she was going to fix this mess. She did not notice Alioni had seen everything.
The Rust Knight repeated in a distorted echoey voice, "The…. Seven Deadly Sins…."
"They're Here." One of the bar patrons said scared stiff.
"It's the Seven Deadly Sins." Another said. Everyone but Lilia and Meliodas ran off panicking.
"Who are you?" Meliodas asked while Lilia stared intently. The Rust Knights wobbles. Then they just fell over onto the floor with the helmet falling off. Revealing it to be in fact Elizabeth. Meliodas froze for a split second at seeing her face again after so long allowing Lilia to rush over to check on the princess. She waved her hand over her doing some sort of druid magic.
"She is alright thankfully." Lilia commented with a hint of relief.
"Who is it?" He asked to hide the fact he did know who it was. That face would not be forgotten anytime soon.
"That girl is part of The Seven Deadly Sins?" The voice of Hawk, the only other employee of the Boar Hat was heard asking.
"The pig talks." Lilia commented not that bothered about that Hawk was a taking pig. She was to distracted by Elizabeth.
"It's not that shocking." Hawk stated.
"This is the Princess Elizabeth." Lilia said. "She deserves your respect." She picked up Elizabeth and with Meliodas help dragged her into Meliodas' bedroom. She locked him and Hawk out much to his chagrin with very strong magic. Lilia peeled off the armour of Elizabeth. She was pleased that her spare orb was hanging around Elizabeth's neck. So, Elizabeth would be protected since her proper one had gone missing.
Alioni was now the second in command of a group of knights serving the great Lord Twigo, a holy knight of great power. They never had to see Lord Twigo's great power in action as everyone in the surrounding area was afraid of Lord Twigo and his backer, Lady Vivian (a powerful mage who had married Lord Gilthunder much to the surprise of many a couple of years back). Since she had the ear of Grandmaster Hendrickson no one wanted to mess with Lady Vivian and in extension Lord Twigo. Twigo was off visiting Lady Vivian when one of the knights came up to him and said, "Someone is here to see Lord Twigo."
"I will see them." Alioni said. He found a mysterious hooded figure wearing hooded robes like the ones Lilia wore was waiting at the edge of camp. "May I help you?" He asked.
A female voice said, "I have info on this wanted criminal." She indicated a wanted poster of Lilia in her hands.
"I am afraid I can't help you as the Great Lord Twigo is not here at the moment." Alioni explained.
The lady said, "I have here some I heard that will enable you to take her out." She held out a sword. It was humming with power. "Use this sword and I promise you that you will be able to capture her. I believe she is at a nearby bar. You can't miss it."
"Thank you for your help as she is a dangerous individual" Alioni said pleased he was able to bring Lilia for justice for the deaths of many knights. He blinked and the woman was gone. He went to gather the strongest knights like in some sort of trance and was not once questioning anything.
