"do I have to go to the covention?" Asked Ophelia smiling
"Absolutely!" Said Amity excitedly
Right now the younger Blight twins were going to a covention
And naturally Amity was excited about it , and she prepared a bag that Ophelia didn't know what was in
"And this covention , there's going to be be a mystery guest" said Amity before squealing excitedly
"You're really excited about this huh?" Said Ophelia smiling
"You aren't?!" Said Amity "ugh you should really drop the whole uncaring persona sometimes"
"It's not a persona" said Ophelia smiling "I really don't care , it's the same old covention , not even a mystery guest will change that"
Then they heard a voice calling out
"Hey Ophelia!" Said Clement calling out
"Oh hi Clement" said Ophelia
"Wait , you saying hi back to someone? Ophelia who is this guy?" Asked Amity narrowing her eyes
Clement gulped , feeling the danger
"Relax Amity , let me explain" said Ophelia calmly before explaining
Then after Ophelia finished
A few seconds passed in scilence and Ophelia looking Amity in the eyes
"Fine , I'll accept it" said Amity rolling her eyes "see you at the Emperor's stand Ophelia"
"I'll be there don't worry" said Ophelia smiling
Then a little chirp was heard , and a tiny blue bird is seen on Clement's shoulder
"You kept that thing" said Ophelia narrowing her eyes
"Firstly don't call him 'thing'" said Clement as held the bird protectively "his name is Chip"
"Just make sure he doesn't do anything stupid" said Ophelia frowning "or else I'll feed him to the next griffon I see"
Hearing this Chip turned into a small cat like demon and hugged Clement's shoulder like his life depended on it
Then the two started walking towards the Emperor's stand
"Anyway ,what do you do during coventions?" Asked Clement changing the subject
"Mostly just do things with Amity, or watch other people" said Ophelia "what about you?"
"I mostly just look at people who look happy then start dreading my miserable existence" said Clement with a big smile
Ophelia stopped and stared at him for a few seconds
"I can relate" said Ophelia expressionlessly "in some way"
Walking together they finally made it to the Emperor's stand in the arena
She saw Amity and they both waved at each other
Then she and Clement went to and sat next to Amity
Amity looked at the arena where Bump stood looking very excited
Ophelia...not so much
"Hello Bonesborrow! Students ask me all the time , principal Bump what's the height of magical achievement?" Said Bump
"Is it this?" Asked a student before making his head bigger and crushing another student with it
"Wow , I failed you as a principal" said Bump cringing before continuing "it's being selected to join the best of the best and there are none better that the jewel of the coven system , and the enforcers of his will ,the emperor's coven!"
Ophelia chuckled a bit at the best of the best part
Then three of the Emperor's coven rose from the floor
"Feast your eyes on this elite force , each handpicked to usher in a new age of controlled magic" said Bump before the Emperor's coven members used three different types of magic to make fireworks
"Members of the Emperor's coven have access to all , yes all forms of magic , ooh ahh" said Bump enthusiastically
Ophelia tried so hard not to laugh at this
Because even if she doesn't go to the Emperor's coven , she'll be able use all types of magic
Most people use Oracle spirits that use fire
However , Ophelia found out how to change the spirits , from using fire to using other types of magic , Each magic made the spirit look vastly different
That didn't mean she was automatically a master , she still had to practice using them
But that is to be expected
"But only the best could ascend these ranks! Someday that could be one of you" said Bump pointing in Amity's direction
Amity then squealed happily
"Pfft" Ophelia barely held back the laughter from her sister's squeal
Amity gave her a light punch to the arm
"Sorry sorry" said Ophelia smiling
"And now I'm pleased to introduce the esteemed leader of this coven and this year's mystery guest" said Bump "you know her , you love her , Lilith!"
Then a giant blue raven appeared and flew down from the ceiling
It landed next to principal Bump and from the raven appeared a female witch
Everyone clapped after her entrance
"Thank you all" said Lilith taking off her coat "it wasn't easy for me to rise to the top , I also started from humble beginnings , now I have the highest honor of enforcing the emperor's will , so be more! The Emperor's coven awaits you!"
Then Lilith created a giant raven and turned it into bubbles
Looking at this Ophelia rolled her eyes
Then they left the arena , and headed towards other covens
"Can I leave now" said Ophelia frowning "it's pretty much the same thing as last year"
"Yeah , I think I'm done too" said Clement "what about you Chip?"
Chip responded by turning into a snake-like creature and wrapped himself around Clement's neck like a scarf
"Huh , who knew having a snake scarf would be this comfortable" said Clement smiling
The twins looked at him for a second before going back to the main subject
"Anyway , it's been... boring" said Ophelia "so I'll take my leave"
"Wait! Ophelia!, can't you just stay a bit longer , ple_" said Amity before someone bumped (Badum tss) into her "hey! Watch where you'r_ oh it's you , Willow's abomination thing"
"Really" said Ophelia coldly
"Wow that took a turn" said Clement as he saw the twins's tone , especially Ophelia's cold one
"Oh hey Amity , Ophelia, funny story , not an abomination" said Luz nervously "sorry for the confusion last week , I'm Luz the human , hi"
Then Luz extended her hand to shake Amity's
But Amity slapped it away
"Ugh put that away , you're the one who got me in trouble with principal Bump and I NEVER get in trouble" said Amity angrily before walking away
Seeing Amity walking away Ophelia decided to go with her and Clement did the same
Luz followed them
"Well to be fair , you were okay with him trying to dissect me , so" said Luz as she followed Amity
Ophelia was about to step in but Amity stopped her ,
"You can't be here! This covention is for witches only" said Amity
"Well , I'm learning how to be a witch , I'm receiving magic lessons from a powerful witch and a ferocious demon" said Luz smiling
"Is that your ferocious demon right there?" Asked Ophelia as she pointed at King
Who ran from the baking coven members and ran to Luz with a cupcake in hand , tripping on a scarf he was wearing and dropped the cupcakes
As Luz helped King up , Amity stepped on King's cupcake
"Part of me died the moment she stepped on that cupcake" said Ophelia quietly
"I know" said Clement who somehow had a cupcake in hand
Ophelia saw the cupcake in his hand and frowned
"Oops that was an accident" said Amity sarcastically
"Why are you being so mean Amity?" Asked Luz
"Because you and your pet are giving witches and training a bad name" said Amity
"I'm not a pet!" Said King angrily
"He's a very good boy AND the king of demons" said Luz angrily
"This is getting heated" said Clement "should we step in?"
"No , I think Amity has this one" said Ophelia "besides, if that human does anything stupid , I'll_"
"I challenge you to a witches duel!" Said Luz with determination
"I accept" said Amity confidently
"There it is" said Clement as he pet Chip
Ophelia just silently listened to the terms of the duel
And when she heard them
"_you'll have to stop training FOREVER" said Amity seriously
She didn't know her sister could act so...cruel , she knew that she herself could be cruel
She wouldn't hesitate to do the same if she has to , but she didn't know Amity would do that
Amity even made an everlasting oath
The duel was in one hour
"Don't you think you took that a bit too far?" Asked Clement
"What do you mean?" Asked Amity
"I mean that maybe stop witch training forever is a bit too harsh" said Clement as Chip turned into a bird and made a nest out of Clement's hair
"I never forced her to accept the terms , she did this herself" said Amity
"Yep , that decision was exceptionally dumb" said Ophelia expressionlessly "I mean who would accept that?"
"I guess you're right" said Clement contemplating "so what are we gonna do for the next hour"
"Probably just watch Ami_" said Ophelia before getting cut off
"Ahh Amity Blight , it's great to see you here" said Lilith
"Aah! Miss Lilith!" Said Amity turning stiff "why are you here? If you don't mind you know"
"I'm here to propose something to you" said Lilith calmly
And so , Lilith proposed to help Amity with today's duel
Ophelia found this rather odd , why would the leader of the Emperor's coven want to help Amity with such a simple duel
Ophelia brushed it off as the emperor's coven being flashy as always
In the arena
"Beloved citizens , the emperor's coven proudly presents an impromptu demonstration of the sort of witch we seek every year" said Lilith smiling "introducing Amity Blight!"
Cheers came from the crowds at the mention of Amity's name
"Versus" said Lilith unenthusiastically "some human girl"
"Things took a turn for the better , now I can actually enjoy a covention" said Ophelia smiling
"Sure?" Said Clement raising a brow
Then the battle started and Amity made a spell circle and out of it appeared a giant abomination
"Wait! what?!" Said Ophelia in confusion
"What's wrong?" Asked Clement in concern
"Amity can't make an abomination that big" said Ophelia before she realized it "that lying garbage despenser!"
Ophelia didn't need to use Oracle magic to see how Lilith made her sister's abominations stronger
She'll let it slide this time
At she would've , until she saw the traps
A pillar of fire rose from the ground , then she actually used some oracle magic and she saw the traps
And that was the last straw
"Enough!" Yelled Ophelia angrily as she created two spirits and used them to fly
"Ophelia! What are_" Amity tried asking but Ophelia stopped her
"Amity! Just wait!" Ordered Ophelia angrily "human! Is this your magic?"
Ophelia floated down before ordering one of spirits to touch a mound in the arena far from Luz
Spikes came out of the ground and impaled the spirit
Everyone gasped
"So she was cheating!" Said Amity angrily
"Wait! Amity , i_" Luz tried to say anything but Amity stopped her
"Doesn't matter what you say , who's gonna believe you?" Said Amity
Lilith walked to the spikes and inspected them
"Oh Edalyn , I do believe this means you lose" said Lilith smiling
"Amity turn around" said Ophelia angrily
"What do y_" said Amity in confusion
"TURN AROUND!!" Ordered Ophelia angrily
Amity quickly turned around , and Eda saw it immediately
"A power glyph from the construction coven" said Eda showing everyone the glyph
Then she started teasing Lilith about cheating
But Ophelia didn't care
She left angrily
She HATED coventions
Roses are red
Cement is gray
