I love Janto: yay 400th review! Yep. She's hell in high heels. Ianto knows that, he just needs a moment to himself. Jack will probably find him soon, the archives isn't an unlikely place for Ianto to go.

AU Janto

Jack kissed Ianto's neck and snuggled up to his lover. Ianto gently stroked Jack's hair.

"What do you want from me?" Ianto asked.

"Your soul," Jack said, continuing to kiss his young lover.

"Jack, I'm serious," Ianto said smiling. Then his smile faded. "You came here for a reason, didn't you?"

Of course Ianto would know. He always knew. Jack considered saying that he just came to see him but he couldn't avoid this forever.

"Ianto I need you to take my heart," Jack said, "and to keep it safe."

"Take your heart," Ianto repeated. Then it dawned on him and he pushed Jack off of him. "Of all the selfish-"

"Ianto I can explain." But Ianto stormed out of the room obviously not wanting to hear it. Jack followed after him. They were a good deal away from the hut when Jack finally caught up to him.

Tears were streaming down the young man's face. "You should have told me that before."

"I know but I wanted to be with you while I still loved you. Because I don't know if I could after, because I'm selfish. I found a solution Ianto but this spell I can't cast it with my heart."

"You could remove it yourself!"

"I know but I need someone I trust to take care of it. To return it to me afterwards. Or keep it, its rightfully yours anyway."

Ianto didn't look at Jack when he said "your going to rip it out anyway aren't you?"

"Yes." He said it without hesitation and in a single breath. It broke his heart to admit, especially to Ianto. They stood there for a while.

"I'll keep it safe. Of course I will."

"Thank you." Jack paused a moment before adding "we should probably go back inside. Standing outside naked when its this chilly out we'll freeze to death."

Without either of them saying anything more they went back inside.

I borrowed the heart thing from Once Upon A Time. I guess this could count as a crossover.
