Kiran was not resting. They had a lot of work in this new world. Not only were they confirmed as the Professor of the Golden Deer, but he also had to find Alfonse, who is currently being held hostage by Thórr and her mooks or Forma Souls.
"My oh my." A voice was heard. "Hard working as ALWAYS, huh? You never rest, do you, Summoner?"
"Wait... that voice." The Summoner recognized the voice. "Sothis?"
"Yes. It is me." Sothis then appeared. "It seems that when you were sent to this alternate world, I seem to have connected myself to you."
"And the other Professors?" Kiran crossed their arms.
"According to memory, the Sothis of this world seems to be in the Male Professor." The green haired girl twirled a lock of her hair. "If I recall, she must be having memory loss as well."
"I see." Kiran sighs. "I think tomorrow is when we learn of our powers... or as Fodlan calls it... Crests."
"Indeed." Sothis nods. "By the way, do not overwork yourself. Your students will need you for this mock battle."
"Alright..." The summoner nods back as Sothis disappears.
They look out the window as they hold Briedablik, the weapon they use to summon heroes from other worlds. The weapon had lost its power in Fodlan, so they cannot return home.
The next day, Kiran, Sharena, Veronica, Fjorm, Eir, Peony and Mirabilis enter an office filled with mysterious materials and books. A gray haired man was waiting for them.
"Greetings." The man nodded. "My name is Hanneman. I am a Crest Scholar and the Reason Magic Instructor. I was originally going to be Professor, but we decided to become instructors."
"It is an honor to meet you, Instructor Hanneman." Fjorm bowed. "What do you need for us?"
"Every year when new students enroll to the Officers Academy, there will be a test in which they have a Crest or they don't." Hanneman explained. "Crest are given to nobles by the Goddess and they are divided in two types: Major and Minor. Major Crests use all of their power and they activate more frequently while Minor Crests use part of their power and they activate less frequently."
"I see." Peony gasped.
"Now, shall we begin our little research to see if you have a Crest or not?" Hanneman asked.
Sharena was first and she was shown a Crest of Cichol, Veronica got a Crest of Gloucester, Fjorm was shown a Crest of Gautier, Eir had recieved a Crest of Lamine, Peony was given a Crest of Cethleann and Mirabilis obtained a Crest of Fraldarius.
When it was Kiran's turn to have their Crest revealed, a mysterious pattern was seen in Hanneman's device.
"What in the world is this?!" He gasped. "It is like... a pattern that's never seen before!! As if a new Crest has been revealed!"
"A new Crest?" Veronica asked.
"Forgive my ramblings." Hanneman shook his head. "You may leave to prepare for the mock battle." He turns around. "If I move one finger to mimic the shape of the pattern and connect the dots... Ohohoho! This will be interesting!"
The seven members of the Order of Heroes looked at the Crest Scolar as he talked to himself a few seconds before leaving.
An hour later, as Fjorm was going to the fishing pond, she heard some giggling coming from the greenhouse. As she went to investigate, Ashe and Beles were having a heartfelt conversation.
"You must have been really good at these studies, Ashe." The female Professor said.
"Thank you very much, Bell" The gray haired boy smiled. "Lonato taught me and my siblings very well."
"You must care for Lonato a lot." Beles said.
Fjorm watched quietly as the two talked when suddenly, she was caught off guard by herself almost falling.
"Whoa!" She yelped as she alomst lost her footing.
Ashe and Beles turned around and saw Fjorm trying to regain her posture.
"Fjorm?" Ashe asked.
"Forgive me for eavesdropping..." Fjorm added. "I didn't mean to..."
"It's fine." Beles smiles. "Ashe and I were just having a conversation about plants."
"I see." The Niflan Princess nods. "You two seem lively around each other."
"Ashe and I know each other ever since before I was a Professor of the Officers Academy." The Female Professor answers.
"Ah." Fjorm nods. "It seems that you two must be happy to be reunited."
"I was caught by surprised when she was appointed as my Professor, I have to admit..." Ashe blushes nervously. "I never got used to calling her Professor."
"I understand." The ice blond haired girl nods. "Anyway, I am happy you two reunited. And I am also happy to learn and study alongside you."
"The feeling is mutual." Ashe bows. "Do you want to have dinner in the Dining Hall together?"
"Of course." Fjorm smiles. "It would be an honor."
Later as everyone is feasting in the Dining Hall, Elizabeth notices that Sharena is picking her food.
"Is something wrong, Sharena?" The red haired girl asked. "You rarely ate."
"Forgive me..." The blond and pink haired girl sighed. "I was just thinking about my brother."
"You have a brother?" Elizabeth gasped.
"Yeah." Sharena nods. "His name is Alfonse. He is a valiant and kind Prince, but right now, he has been captured by a strong enemy..."
"Ah..." The apologetic Golden Deer student sighed. "My condolences... But do not feel down. We will train harder so you and your brother can reunite."
"You're right." The Askran Princess replied. "Thanks, Elizabeth. I appreciate it."
"Speaking of siblings, did you know Lucretia had a little sister?" Elizabeth added. "Her name is Lysithea. She is said to enroll next year."
"I am very glad." Sharena smiles. "I hope Lysithea becomes as wise as Lucretia."
"Me too." The red haired girl nodded.
"Let us do our best!" The
The bell rang, meaning it was time for bed.
As Elizabeth went into her bedroom, she ran into Dedue.
"My apologies, Dedue." She said. "I didn't mean to get in your way."
As the red haired girl left, the gray haired man only glared as she continued on to her room.
"She may be kind..." He said to himself. "But she will not be in the way of His Highness' goals."
The next day was the day of the Mock battle. Each house gathered at the outskirts of the Monastery and got five participants. The Black Eagles have Byleth, Edelgard, Hubert, Veronica and Peony. The Blue Lions have Beles, Dimitri, Dedue, Fjorm and Eir. And the Golden Deer have Kiran, Claude, Hilda, Sharena and Mirabilis.
Jeralt, a mercenary-turned-Knight of Seiros who is the renowned as the Blade Breaker, was standing in the middle of a hill while holding a microphone.
"Is this thing even working?" He tapped the mic, which responds with a loud squeaking noise that forces everyone to cover their ears. "Yup. It's on." He then clears his throat. "Students and Professors. Welcome to the Garreg Mach Mock Battle. I am your host, Jeralt Reus Eisner. Today, we will have a mock battle between the house leaders, Heir of the Adrestian Allience Edelgard, High Prince of the Holy Empire of Faerghus Dimitri and Crown Prince of the Leichester Kingdom Claude. May the battle begin."
"Edelgard, you will be on the front lines." Byleth said. "Hubert, Peony and Veronica, focus on your ranged attacks."
"As you wish, Professor." Hubert bows.
"It would be an honor, Professor!" Peony winks.
"I wish I could kill, but I will be taking a break..." Veronica sighed.
"Dedue, stay by my side." Dimitri ordered. "Fjorm, go distract the enemies on the front lines. Eir, you will be at sky watch."
"At your command, your Highness." Dedue nodded.
"Of course." Fjorm nods as she takes out Leiptr.
"I hope death does not arrive to this mock battle." Eir prays.
"Claude, you focus on ranged attacks." Kiran commands. "Hilda, Sharena, you go to the front lines. Mirabilis, stick with me."
"At your command, Teach." Claude nods.
"Why do I have to be at the front lines?" Hilda pouts. "I'm such a delicate flower."
"Come on, Hilda!" Sharena cheers. "Don't lose hope!"
"Of course, Summoner..." Mirabilis yawns. "I mean... Professor..."
Edelgard and Dimitri charged to the frontlines while Claude hid behind some bushes. As Dedue was going to attack the Black Eagle House Leader, Hubert fired a Miasma spell that sent him back.
"You will not lay a finger on Lady Edelgard." The black haired Black Eagle glared.
"You are in His Highness' path." Dedue glared back.
The two then exchanged axe swings and Miasma spells.
Hilda was defending herself from Fjorm while Veronica fired many spells at Eir. Mirabilis would be facing Peony.
Edelgard and Dimitri would fight each other as Claude prepared to fire an arrow.
The battle took a long time and only Byleth, Beles and Kiran remained.
"It is the three of us, I see..." Beles said.
"Well, Summoner." Byleth said. "It is said you cannot fight. Do you disagree?"
"I would like to show you that I am no maiden in need of defense." Kiran smirked as they raised their arm. "Summon! Gaia Seigmund!"
Suddenly, the lance of Seigmund, weilded by Ephraim of the World of Sacred Stones, appeared and landed on Kiran's arms.
"Let us begin." The Summoner said as they held onto the lance.
And so, the three fought with Byleth using his Sword Skills, Beles using magic and Kiran mimicking the battle style of Ephraim.
The battle turned up to be easy for Kiran since thanks to their knowledge in the Weapon Triangle, both Byleth and Beles were defeated single handedly.
"That is all for the Great Tree Moon Mock Battle." Jerat said. "The winner is... The Golden Deer House!"
"Well done, Summoner." Beles said as Kiran helped her and her brother up. "It seems we underestimated you."
"Our students will surely look up to you." Byleth nodded.
"Thanks." Kiran smiled. "You guys did great."
"That was a wonderful battle." Rhea said as she walked in. "The students did have so much fun with the three of you."
"Thank you, Lady Rhea." Beles chirped. "I have to admit, I had so much fun too."
"I am relieved." The Archbishop smiled until she sighed. "Now I got a report for our next mission. It seems that a town in Leichester is showing reports of mysterious deaths."
"What?" Byleth said in a flat tone.
"What happened?" Kiran growled.
"Apperently, someone has been sending a swordsman to kill innocent civilians." Rhea shook her head. "The knights say that they have dark brown hair. They tried to stop him, but they wound up injured..."
"That is terrible..." Beles gasped.
"We will stop him, Archbishop Rhea." Kiran clenched their fist. "Just you wait."
"The Goddess will surely be by your side." The teal haired woman smiled for a bit.
Meanwhille, Thórr was having a conversation with a mysterious man wearing a dark blue cloak and an indigo mask.
"Rofer is in charge of the deaths." The God of war crossed her arms. "Are you certain this will do?"
"Indeed." The cloaked man nods. "As time nears, the prisoner will be used as our minion."
"He is not one to surrender to evil." Thórr said. "The first step is to break him til he is forced to follow every order we tell him."
"If he doesn't, we torture him." The cloaked man turns away. "For now, we will still use him as a hostage for his sister."
"Indeed." Thórr nods. "The rest is up to you."
As the cloaked man vanishes, Thórr looks at Mjólnir.
"It seems that they are at Garreg Mach." She sighs. "Dear Alfonse will have a little playdate with me for a small while.
