I love Janto: yep. Jack might wait a while just for Ianto to tell him what's wrong. River might try again but I think she'd want an apology.
"This isn't how I expected to spend Christmas Eve," Ianto said. He was still trying to catch his breath but at least the hub was mostly intact. It would take him forever to clean up all the alien goop though.
"Sorry about that," Jack said.
"Its not your fault. Bloody aliens had to invade during the holidays." Jack chuckled at that and despite himself Ianto laughed too.
"Speaking of holidays..." Jack said. He showed Ianto his watch and smiled widely. "Its nearly Christmas."
Ianto rolled his eyes. "If you want to unwrap your presents you have to help me clean first." Then he went to find the cleaning supplies leaving a disappointed Jack watching him leave. This certainly wasn't how he had planned out spending Christmas with Ianto.
