Invisible Observer 813: that probably did happen. Thanks. Yeah, poor Ianto needs to watch less James Bond and more Star Trek. Thanks for the alert.
I love Janto: yep, fingers crossed. If they haven't set up tent already, Owen will switch watch with Ianto when they do. He'll rule along side Jack for centuries. I imagine Alice may still live a long time. He knows, he just doesn't want to think about it yet.
Arrienstar: thanks for the fave.
Silverbird22: thanks for the fave.
SkyDeamon5566: thanks for the fave.
Torchwood had over the centuries grown an impressive collection of alien plants. Thankfully there were now a lot of greenhouses to accommodate them. Ianto still liked to look after them when he could even though they had an impressive staff of gardeners for that job.
The plants in turn liked him. Not so much in a green thumb kind of way, large portions of the plants were telepathic and they were sensitive towards people. One had to be careful what they said around Torchwood plants, they could be horrible gossips.
Humming gently (the plants had grown to like his voice) Ianto watered what looked like purple tulips although their stems were thicker than any earth flower's. They danced along to his humming.
He was sure their dancing had improved since last time, being rooted into the ground did limit their movements. It was the last thing he thought of before someone grabbed him, nearly making him drop the water can in surprise.
"Jack, you'll startle the flowers." The truly dangerous ones were in another warehouse but that didn't make Ianto any less upset. "And you nearly gave me a heart attack."
"Sorry." Ianto's expression softened and Jack added "We haven't spent much time together lately."
"We're spending time together now."
"You know what I mean Mr. Jones. Let's go on a picnic or something."
"Or something?"
"You choose. Come on." Ianto followed him out the greenhouse.
