Noctis closed the distance to study the figure up close. A human? From another planet? It was strange to wrap his head around. He had pale skin, and wild platinum blonde hair. It reminded them a little of a chocobo.

He had a weird uniform of a black vest and pants. Boots that reminded them of a military style. One shoulder guard was strapped over one shoulder with a silver wolf head on it. It was noted the one earring in his left ear was the same wolf with a ring in its mouth. He wore gloves on both hands.

Next to him was an odd looking broadsword. The metal was shiny and almost reflective. There were ridges up along the blade that didn't explain a purpose.

"Think he's alive?" Gladio wondered.

"I'll check." Ignis stepped closer and knelt down to feel for a pulse. After a moment he glanced up in bewilderment. "He's alive!"

"What? But how? Shouldn't the impact kill him?"

"Forget the impact, how did he survive unscathed inside a meteor?"

"And to survive the astrals, to boot?"

"Guys." Noctis drew their attention at the unknown warrior. He hadn't turned his gaze away from the man this entire time. And as the others talked he noticed the warrior began to stir.

Ignis backed away, gently pulling Noctis by the arm to give the mysterious warrior room. The prince only backed away a couple of steps before he yanked his arm out of his grasp. He watched as the figure opened his eyes. They were a striking color. Blue in the outer rim and green around the irises, similar color to the green material surrounding them.

The blonde warrior blinked as he slowly sat up, not yet noticing he had company. He shook his head as if to rid a migraine, only to pinch the bridge of his nose. Someone slipped in the liquid, but steadied himself quickly. The movement startled the blonde warrior. In a flash he was on his feet, one hand gripping the handle of his sword as his eyes scanned around.

Confusion took over his face as he studied them. Ignis tried to pull Noctis further away. But the prince remained stubborn and planted his feet to not be dragged away. Soon as those strange eyes locked with his the warrior almost fully relaxed, his sword lowering. The action didn't go by unnoticed.

"Think he's aware of who you are?" Gladio noted the change.

"He came from space. It would be odd if he spoke the same language as us."

"Hello? Can you understand us?" Noctis tried to communicate. It felt rather awkward. The warrior's eyebrows furrowed.

"I'll take that as a no." Prompto spoke up.

Suddenly the warrior glanced around nervously. It was as if he sensed something nearby. Now the group looked around as well, but they couldn't see anything. What spooked the strange warrior from another world?

"It would seem you sensed my approach. Interesting."

"Gentiana!" She appeared out of nowhere, surprising all of them.

"He came from the meteor, correct?" Gentiana turned to Noctis. He nods, suddenly a loss for words.

"And he can't seem to understand us." Ignis informed.

"I will see what I can do." She approached the blonde warrior. He tensed up, but didn't raise his weapon. Gentiana raised her hands to either side of his face. Her magic gently glowed. He closed his eyes as he relaxed.

"I can see memories. His planet was called Gaia. It was under attack from an alien invasion. But it was put to sleep. And so it slept until someone unearthed her."

Noctis glanced at his friends. This was disturbing news. Did that mean this man could be the same as the invasion of his home planet? Spread to destroy planet after planet?

"They began experiments. One was born from her cells. He learned of his heritage and thus began his drive to destroy Gaia. This warrior fought him off numerous of times."

"So did this mean he failed? You know, since he's here now at Eos?"

"There was nothing left to protect." The man said, opening his eyes. He gently pushed Gentiana's hands away. "I made a mistake. It costed everything. And despite being the only one alive I fought him anyways."

He studied Gentiana curiously. "You're not human."

"Of course not. I'm the messenger of the gods. But, you're not entirely human, either." She countered with a smirk. His eyes narrowed at her words. "Did it disturb you that I saw your memories without your permission? Forgive me, but I had to make sure you weren't going to be a serious threat to this world."

"So... I landed here? How?" He was trying to follow her reasoning.

"You're on the planet Eos. You came here about an hour ago from a meteor."

"A meteor...?" He frowned at the word, like it brought up bad memories.

"Hey, can we introduce ourselves? My name is Noctis." He didn't bring up his title. The others followed his lead.

"Ignis at your service."

"The name's Prompto."

"I'm Gladiolus. But you can call me Gladio for short."

"I'm Cloud." He seemed more relaxed with the introductions.

Strange name, Noctis noted. Then again he was from a completely different planet. So to him their names would be considered a little odd to Cloud.

"You shouldn't stay much longer. Before the empire starts investigating."

"Empire?" Cloud was intrigued.

"We'll tell you on the way. First, how should we get moving? We only have enough chocobos for four of us."

"Maybe he can ride with one of us until we get to the chocobo farm? It's not too far of a ride."

"Think you can handle monsters on the way?" Noctis asked.

"Of course I can. I don't mind pulling my own weight." To prove his word he picked up his blade to swing it a couple of times with one hand before placing it on his back.

"Good. Then it's settled." Noctis reached for his whistle.
