I love Janto: he wasn't pointing the gun at Ianto. I edited the chapter so I hope its clearer this time. I keep doing these too close to midnight. I wouldn't say that John didn't have any time to grow up, Jack certainly had more time but John is in his forties. So he'll settle for annoying Ianto.
Prompt: An Under-Appreciated Character or Friendship
Tosh took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes. The coding was nearly done. Only a few more lines to go. The rift had made her push her work aside too many times. But with any luck she could finish and curl up in front of the TV when she got home. If Jack sent them home early she would have to finish from her laptop.
She could hear the sound of pencil on paper and knew that Gwen was still hastily finishing her paperwork. No one warns you about the paperwork involved with alien hunting, Tosh thought with an amused smile. The smile nearly turned into a yawn but she fought it back.
Jack was in his office the last time she had seen him. She doesn't bother to check now. She has a good idea where he was if he wasn't there anymore.
Tosh blinked a few times before putting her glasses back on. Soon her fingers were flying over the keyboard again. The code was done in no time. It wasn't until Jack came out to order them to go home that Tosh realised how late it was. She had purposely avoided looking at the time, hoping that she could stave off her tiredness that way. She ran the new code and watched Jack walk to the archives. Until tomorrow there wasn't much she could do with the code.
Tosh grabbed her bag from her desk and got up. She considered grabbing Owen from the med-bay. But was too tired to drag him away from whatever he was doing. With a twinge of guilt she decided to leave Owen to Ianto and Jack. No doubt their captain would be able to get Owen out faster than she would.
The TV had been forgotten about by the time she got home. Instead she snuggled under the covers of her bed in a pair of cotton PJ's. Tosh's dream was pleasant but when she woke up she couldn't remember what it had been about.
