The magazine turned up no leads. Which meant either Sephiroth is really good at hiding, or he's left the continent. The group was split on which to be true.
"He's gotta be here."
"He's working with someone. They could be somewhere else entirely."
"But isn't he really good at hiding like you've explained?"
"Yes, but even then he would be sighted. Or he would send me visions and migraines. He hasn't done any of that since we separated."
"Are you really sure he's allied himself with someone?"
"Yes. I'm positive."
"He's lead you on before. But it does seem odd he hasn't lead us in a wild goose chase."
"Well, we've accomplished everything we can here. We got all the swords of past kings on this continent. So we have to make a move on anyways. But first, a certain ceremony needs our attendence relatively soon." Ignis turned to the prince.
"Yeah. The boat should be ready by tomorrow." Noctis seemed nervous.
Upon arriving to Altissa Cloud felt grateful he wasn't the only one amazed of the beautiful city. The city was rich in culture, and the love for the city by her people danced in the air. Cloud noted the change in Noctis when they came across Lunafreya's wedding dress on display.
After seeing the dress Noctis was noticably quieter. Cloud stayed out of checking on him, he understood the mood Noctis had. He couldn't relate to the situation but more of the realization that life was going to take a drastic turn that would bring about a lot of change.
The night of their arrival they came across a group of musicians and a crowd of people dancing. Prompto immediately took to dancing his heart out. When he looked back he noticed how their mood improved, but one detail caught his eye.
"Hey, Cloud! I see you itching to dance. Come dance with me!" Prompto grabbed his wrist and pulled him in without waiting for a response, knowing full well the other blonde would object.
"Wait Prom - " Was all Cloud could say before they were in a sea of dancing bodies.
"Okay, we're dancing." The blonde swordsman accepted that there was no going back now.
"That's the spirit Cloud!" Prompto laughed. His mood was infectious and Cloud found himself moving with the rythm of the music.
As Cloud started to really dance Prompto took a step back, admiring. He wasn't the only one. Some of the crowd gave Cloud more room, mesmerized. Catching on the music performers changed the beats. Catching the same vibes Prompto joined in and the pair synchronized.
Meanwhile Noctis and the other two couldn't tear their eyes away. They knew Prompto liked to party but who knew Cloud had some moves? They had no idea how to process what their eyes were telling them.
Unknown to them other eyes watched from a livestream.
Lunafreya smiled as she watched. She could catch just a glimpse of Noctis in the background, but the camera was mainly focusing on his two friends. Passing by her Ravus scoffed, which then drew the attention of Ardyn.
"Such a unique talent." Ardyn commented.
"What is?" Ravus didn't see anything notably worth his time.
"If you were the true artist of a swordsman, then you would understand." Ardyn left with his comment hanging in the air. He left them to visit Sephiroth hiding in another room.
"Seems your puppet knows how to dance."
"It's an odd talent he hides very carefully. Unless he's in a good enough mood." Sephiroth raised his gaze from a book. "I'm amazed he would be in the spirits to dance these days."
"He's gotten too used to the peaceful life with Noct and his friends."
"That will soon change."
Back with the group the dance came to an end. Cloud blinked, sensing a familiar entity. He turned quickly to what he thought was the source. He couldn't see anything. Immediately the boys were at his side.
"You okay? What's wrong?"
"... Nothing. I thought I felt his presence, but I must have been seeing things." Cloud shook his head. Then he realized that people were still watching him, some applauding.
"Damn, bro. You didn't tell us you got some sweet moves! We should dance out more often." Prompto pats his back, and it made Cloud chuckle.
"I don't do that often. You would have to catch me at the right mood. Otherwise I would just run away." His words made them exchange knowing glanced.
"What?" Cloud caught on.
"So in other words you would have to be happily content." Ignis smiled. "I think we can get that to happen again."
"Wanna make a bet on that?"
