The Fate of the First Hero of Light
Another world...
Zelda and Estonix are captives.
"UNHAND ME FOOL!" screams the bound Estonix.
"SILENCE KNAVE! YOU DARE IMPERSONATE THE KING!" says the Knight.
"Sir Hunfrey it is me Zelda. We come from a different world."
"Be quiet! I will not allow you to slander our Queen!" screams the Fire Mage.
"Estonix what must I do?!" screams the panicked Zelda.
"We will follow them for now." says the bound Estonix.
BAM
The Knight punches Estonix through the face.
"SIR HUNFREY NO!" screams Zelda.
"YOU ARE CAPTURED! THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE! WOMAN IF YOU RESIST YOU WILL BE BOUND AS WELL! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"
"..."
Zelda stares at the floor.
"VERY WELL GUARDS ASSIST THE FIEND AND TAKE THE WOMAN!"
The guards hop to attention.
"YES, SIR!"
They are escorted.
The throne room, they enter.
There stands a tall handsome man he looks towards a beautiful woman.
"My beloved there is no thing in this world as beautiful as your kind smile."
"Estonix my love, how you make my heart flutter with your sweet nothings."
"Zeldany my Queen..."
The man gently touches the cheek of the beautiful woman.
She closes her eyes.
The man pulls her closer, they embrace.
Finally he kisses her.
"EEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIII!"
Zelda holds her arms outstretched in front of her face as if to protect her from this terrible visage.
The hair on the back of her neck is standing up straight.
THUD
Estonix collapses onto both his knees, he almost falls over on his back.
He sits upright defeated.
Staring blankly at the ceiling above him, tears flow down fiercely down his cheeks.
The sight of his doppelganger kissing the "beast" is too much to bare.
"WHO GOES THERE?" screams the other Estonix.
The beautiful woman moves behind Estonix.
"YOUR MAJESTY WE HAVE FOUND THESE IMPOSTERS! THEY WERE TRYING TO SPREAD FALSEHOODS! THEY CLAIM TO COME FROM A DIFFERENT WORLD!"
The loving couple have recovered.
"I see, thank you Sir Hunfrey."
"My beloved what should we do?" asks the other Zelda.
She takes Estonix's hand and weaves her fingers inside of his.
"EEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIII!"
Zelda puts her hands to her face so that she can escape this hellish visage.
Estonix also sees this.
THUD
Estonix falls face first on the floor.
He lays defeated.
Estonix feels he has never been disheartened in his whole life.
He knows this is a different world, but the sight of his doppelganger kissing the "beast" and holding her hand was too much.
"YOU THERE STAND UP!"
The guards manhandle the defeated Estonix upright.
"WELL THEN EXPLAIN YOURSELVES!" screams the other Estonix.
"Zelda you tell him."
"EEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIII!"
Zelda is so startled at "her" Estonix speaking to her.
Her mind has recovered from the shock.
She is reliving the most terrible thing she has ever seen once more.
Some times have passed.
As Zelda is explaining and giving proof that they are the "true" Zelda and Estonix from another world.
Each time the loving couple touches each other.
Zelda and Estonix contort their bodies in disgust as if they are being pierced by poisoned daggers or flaming arrows.
"Yes, you have given enough proof. Beyond a doubt you are our counterparts from another world."
"YOUR MAJESTY PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR LIES!" speaks the Knight.
"Yes, please Your Highness they cannot be trusted." says the Fire Mage.
"Sir Hunfrey, Sir Izdryn my friends do not be alarmed. With you here to protect Queen Zeldany and myself I feel no fear. My Queen what do you think?"
"My beloved..."
The other Zelda touches the other Estonix on his chest looking lovingly at him.
"EEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIII!"
Zelda gnashes on her teeth.
THUD
Estonix falls on his knees and face once more, utterly defeated.
"WHAT IS WRONG!? PLEASE COLLECT YOURSELVES!" screams the other Zelda.
Moments pass they have collected themselves.
"Why did you seek us out?" asks Estonix.
"We are looking for a man named Monsieur Pantomimer."
"THAT HELLISH DEVIL!" speaks the Knight.
"Do you know of him?" asks Zelda.
"YES, THAT MOST VILEST OF A FIEND!"
"Excuse me?" asks Zelda.
"Sir Hunfrey please if you would."
"YES, YOUR MAJESTY!"
The Knight shouts orders to the men.
The guards depart.
"..."
Zelda looks on in confusement.
"Let me explain." says the other Zelda.
Zelda and Estonix hear of how this Monsieur was a truly dubious dark sorcerer. He had spread much misfortune and malice in the lands surrounding the Kingdom, many suncycles before. He was finally captured and executed. The evil energies contained in his body even after death was far too dangerous. The many lands where he had spread his evil and sufferings. Had each claimed a piece of the devils body to guard lest they be used for evil or in some other way.
"Some suncycles before the parts that where hidden had started to disappear one by one." says the other Zelda.
"Why did no one investigate?" asks Zelda.
"People had believed the nations to be superstitious and foolish. Many times had passed his evil deeds had been forgotten and to search for some corpses parts did not seem to be of any importance. The disappearances were reported and no action was taken."
"I see. Why would you know of this? If no one had given this matter any importance. How did you learn of it?" asks Zelda.
"As you know yourself as the Queen it is my duty to oversee all the documentations of the Kingdom. I noticed it immediately. But we were busy with fierce negotiations with some of the lands at that time. To aggravate them over this matter was not a wise decision to make."
"Yes, that would be true! I am also...always busy with the documentations!" says Zelda looking away racked with guilt.
"Why did you not send Claurilles to deal with this matter?" asks Estonix.
"Claurilles?"
The loving couple looks confused.
"I believe sometimes they call him Geir if I am not mistaken."
SMACK
Zelda hits her head with both hands in astonishment at hearing this.
"Forgive us, we do not know of such a person."
"WHAT A TERRIBLE WORLD!" exclaims Estonix.
"Who is this Geir person you speak of?" asks the other Zelda.
Estonix's eyes light up.
He starts speaking of Geir and his many adventures together.
Many times pass.
"What an interesting person!" says the other Estonix.
"Yes, indeed I wish we could meet." says the other Zelda.
"How unfortunate you are that he was not born in this world." speaks Estonix.
"May I ask of how you met?"
"Excuse me?" asks Zelda.
"Surely you are also wed like ourselves?"
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" screams Estonix.
"NEVER EVER! NO!" screams Zelda even louder.
"Forgive us we did not know." speaks Zeldany.
Zelda and Estonix signal to each other with dread in their hearts.
They know this would be revealed eventually.
Rather they suffer now then at a later unknown date when the revelation might incapacitate them.
"...how did..." mumbles Zelda.
"Excuse me Zelda?" asks the other Estonix.
"How...did...you meet?" asks Zelda.
The tale of love and great romance starts.
When the King had died Zelda had found herself alone with no one to help her. The Royal Houses had plotted to have her assassinated. But at the coronation Estonix arrived he defeated the assassins and saved Zelda. They soon fell in love and were married. Lord Anaxtus stood down from his post as the head of the House, he had been part of the plot. In exchange for clemency for conspiring to kill the Queen. The other Royal Houses did not object and Estonix was instated as the King.
Zelda is gritting her teeth.
Speaking painfully she says.
"What a wonderful story."
"Did Estonix save you as well at the coronation?" asks the other world's Zelda.
"No, Geir rescued me!" says an excited Zelda.
"I see what a mighty achievement he must have still been a young man then. If I understood your description of him."
"Yes, he was!" says Zelda relieving those times.
"How did he solve the dilemma of the Royal Houses?"
"Well he killed..."
Estonix stares very intensely at Zelda.
"Pardon I did not hear you correctly?" asks the other Estonix.
"Forgive me what I meant to say was that he used his many schemes..."
Estonix stares even more intensely at Zelda.
"HE TALKED TO EVERYONE NICELY AND THEN WE ALL BECAME FRIENDS!"
"WHAT AN AMAZING MAN! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS MY QUEEN?" screams the other Estonix.
The other Zelda starts to shed many tears.
"If only he was here. He could have talked to everyone! All the bloodshed would have been avoided."
"...ugh..."
Zelda and Estonix do not directly look their doppelgangers in the eyes.
"Please Estonix I must meet this wonderful man!" speaks the other Zelda.
"Well...um...he is very busy I am sorry he will not be able to come." says Zelda looking away.
"Surely we must meet this paragon of virtue!" says Estonix's doppelganger.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" screams Zelda.
SMACK
Zelda hits her hands to her head once more.
"Unfortunately he has gone to seclude himself to pray. We will not be able to see him for many suncycles." says Estonix.
Zelda instantly understands.
"YES, HE HAS GONE TO PRAY TO THE HOLY MOTHER!"
"Unbelievable! What a saint!" says the other Zelda.
"My Queen we must pray to the Holy Mother that she will help him on his Holy crusade!"
The Knight sheds two tears.
"THANK YOU HOLY MOTHER! THAT IN THESE DARK TIMES. THERE ARE STILL THOSE FIGHTING FOR TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS!"
Zelda is thinking.
"THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! WHAT IF THEY ACCIDENTLY MEET GEIR!"
Suddenly dark energies start pooling outside of the entrance of the throne room.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" screams Zelda inside of her head.
Screams are heard downwards from the throne room's stairs.
"YOU THERE STOP!" "BY ORDER OF THE KING YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER!"
CRASH
Sounds of combat and the destruction of the castles contents are heard.
The darkness inside the throne room is rising like the ocean's tide.
"Sir Hunfrey, Sir Izdryn stand ready!"
"YES, YOUR MAJESTY!" "I am ready!"
The Knight, Fire Mage and King Estonix withdraw their weapons they stand ready.
"THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!" screams the other Zelda shaking out of fear.
Zelda has been holding her head this whole time.
She is thinking of how she will escape the awkwardness that is to come.
Now only silence is heard from the lower levels.
Finally a man with a bloodied traditional dress enters, the blood is dripping down from his completely wet red parka.
Zelda falls on her knees, her whole face is glowing red!
"THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE ME!" screams Zelda aloud by mistake.
Everyone looks to her.
"YOU MUST BE AN ENEMY FROM THE OTHER WORLD!" booms the Knight.
"NO, WAIT PLEASE LISTEN!" screams Zelda.
"She is so frightened! She is trying to warn us!" screams the Fire Mage.
"Evil one we will not allow you to spread your misery here!" screams the other Estonix.
Someone sighs very deeply.
"Zelda what have you done this time?" asks Geir.
"GEIR PLEASE LISTEN! IT IS NOT LIKE THAT!"
"Enough words! Attack him!" screams the other Estonix.
The other world's party rushes to attack Geir with weapons drawn.
"What are you doing now?" asks Geir looking at this unfolding tragedy.
Short moments pass.
The tragedy has unfolded, the other world's party lay defeated.
"Estonny did you find this Monsieur Pantomimer?"
"Well about that..."
Zelda is busy healing the defeated party her face is red and her ears are glowing.
She does not look the defeated party in their eyes.
The party is healed.
Zelda quickly recovers and hides behind Geir.
"Are you sure that this Monsieur Pantomimer comes from this world?"
"..."
There is silence.
"You there answer me."
Geir speaks to the other Estonix.
"YOU WILL NOT SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND IN THAT MANNER!" screams the other Zelda.
Geir sighs.
"How did you fool Estonix into marrying a termagant like yourself?"
"You dare speak to my wife in that way!" screams the recovered Estonix.
The King signals to the party.
They move once more to attack Geir.
"What the hell are you doing this time?"
Short moments pass.
The tragedy has unfolded once more, they lay defeated.
Zelda heals them again not looking at them.
"Zelda what did you learn?"
Zelda turns her back on the other party standing as close as possible to Geir.
The explanations start.
"I see...thank you for your assistance. Estonny, Zelda we are leaving."
"Yes, Claurilly."
"STOP WE WILL NOT LET YOU LEAVE! YOU KILLED OUR MEN!" says the recovered Knight.
"Excuse me?"
"Yes, that blood is that of our comrades!" says the recovered Fire Mage.
"What are you talking about?"
"Your dress is drenched in my soldiers blood!" says the recovered Estonix.
Geir looks towards his red parka, blood still dripping down.
"This, I was at war with a rival tribe. After they were massacred I rushed to find Zelda. I only lightly touched your soldiers they should be fully recovered in a few mooncycles."
"GEIR!"
Zelda is so glad at hearing of her hero rushing towards her aid.
Zelda and Estonix greet their doppelgangers farewell together not looking them directly in the eyes.
Leaving awkwardly and in disgrace they exit the castle.
Geir is walking behind them.
Suddenly they both freeze, they sense something is wrong.
A shadow is cast upon them.
They turn back slowly.
They see an evil grin.
"ha...haha..hahaha..hahaha...hahahaha!"
THEY SEE HIM!
THE EVIL GOD OF SCHEMES IS LAUGHING AT THEIR MISFORTUNE!
Geir maniacally starts laughing at them, his evil eyes piercing their defeated souls.
"HE KNOWS! HE KNOWS EVERYTHING!" they scream together.
Their sufferings and embarrassments, he knows of them all!
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Zelda looks towards Estonix.
Their eyes meet.
Almost as if a magical thunderbolt struck them both.
Zelda and Estonix feel a connection.
For an instance she sees Estonix as a man, Estonix thinks of Zelda as a woman for the briefest of a moment.
Estonix sees Zelda he remembers of her kind smile and her soothing voice.
"AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEE!"
Estonix puts his hand to his chest, he feels light headed.
He stumbles forward desperately reaching into the air in front of him looking for salvation.
Finally he falls over.
The shock of thinking of the "beast" as a woman is too much.
Zelda grabs her head with both hands, she is suffering her own kind of hell.
She sees of how proud Estonix is, his handsome gaze.
She feels emotions she has not felt for many suncycles!
"EEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"
Zelda starts hyperventilating she grasps her chest while gritting and gnashing her teeth together.
Thinking of the "fool" as a man is too much of a shock for her.
She stumbles and collapses next to Estonix.
They lay together in a heap of misery.
They look backwards together, defeated.
They see the evil god of schemes still laughing at them.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Claurilly no stop please help me..."
"Geir please stop save me..."
The thought of her hero turning into the evil villain relishing her suffering is too much!
Zelda and Estonix become unconscious.
The emotional and mental strain was too much for them to bare.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Geir picks up the defeated Estonix and Zelda.
While carrying them, he heads home to defeat the evil sorcerer Monsieur Pantomimer.
