The Fate of the First Hero of Light
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" screams Zelda she is in disarray and in shock at hearing this terrible revelation.
"Your Majesty please forgive me!" the Kingdom's Royal jeweler lays down on the floor begging for forgiveness.
"THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! WHY DID THIS HAPPEN? ANSWER ME!" Zelda shouts at the crying jeweler.
"Your Majesty please have mercy!"
"BE QUIET! YOU KNEW WHO WE ARE DEALING WITH! HOW COULD YOU ATTEMPT THIS WITHOUT OUR LEGAL TEAM PRESENT?" Zelda is furious.
"It was just..."
"JUST WHAT?! ANSWER ME OR YOU WILL BE BANISHED!"
"The cost to repair the..." the jeweler looks down at the ground in shame.
"THE COST OF WHAT? SPEAK!"
"The cost to repair the Royal orb and the Kingdom's mace that was destroyed it was too much! I just wanted to ask if we can get some more stones..." the jeweler has accepted her fate she will leave the Kingdom forever in shame.
Before she can leave in shame.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Zelda grabs her chest tightly gritting her teeth.
"YOUR MAJESTY?!" "Your Highness!" "Your Majesty!"
The Knight, Fire Mage and Paladin shout out in concern.
"THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!" Zelda is panicked screaming in her head.
She remembers of the Royal relics destruction when she had aimed to kill Lord Estonix of House Dominitus, Geir's eldest cousin, in her fits of rage!
"I will be going now Your Majesty..." the ex-Royal jeweler bows in shame and thinks of what she will pack to leave the Kingdom with.
"NO, STOP DO NOT!" Zelda overturns her banishment.
"Your Majesty but I must..."
"I FORGIVE YOU! DO NOT GO!" the banishment is struck from the Kingdom's records.
"Excuse me Your Majesty?"
Zelda calms herself.
"Please tell me exactly what had happened."
The explanations start...
Not even long times have passed.
While the tale is being told Zelda sees an image in her mind forming.
It is the image of the cruel god of schemes rubbing his filthy evil hands together, laughing at Zelda as she now has to pay penalty fee's for her Kingdom's greed!
This image is too much!
Zelda throws her hand to her head.
"Call the advisors!" Zelda shouts to the Knight.
"AT ONCE YOUR MAJESTY!" the Knight orders the men.
They depart to contact the ministers.
Short times pass.
The Paladin seems confused at events that had transpired, finally she speaks to the Queen.
"Excuse me Your Majesty." speaks Lady Edeline.
"Yes, Lady Edeline?"
"Why is everyone so concerned Your Majesty?"
"What do you mean Lady Edeline?" asks Zelda.
The Royal advisors enter the throne room while Lady Edeline and Zelda are still talking.
"We are only negotiating with Claurilles why should we be alarmed?"
The minister of finances hears this while entering the throne room.
"NOOOOOOOOOO, NOT AGAIN! HOLY MOTHER I COME TO SEE YOU ONCE MORE!"
The minister withdraws a hidden dagger and puts it to his throat.
He says a short prayer begging for forgiveness and goes to end it all!
"SIR IZDRYN STOP HIM!"
The Fire Mage runs towards the suicidal minister!
CRASH
The Fire Mage tackled the minister, finally wrestling the dagger away from the desperate man.
"Forgive me Your Majesty. It is just...last time...it was too much."
"I understand please I beg your assistance!" says the disheartened Zelda.
The minster stands up and collects himself.
He faces the Queen.
"What has happened Your Majesty?"
Zelda signals to the distraught jeweler.
She starts explaining of her endless greed!
She explains that she had already spent all of the Kingdom's insurance money to fix the completely destroyed ceremonial mace and repaired the cracked royal orb.
But she had to be greedy!
The last stone she needed to repair the mace, had costs 220 rupees but she only had 218 rupees left!
Foolishly in her endless greed she had asked if she could receive the last stone for 218 rupees!
"You were truly foolish! How could you let greed get the best of you!" the ministers reprimand the defeated jeweler.
The jeweler burst into tears once more.
"Forgive me please!"
The mood is somber.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" someone started laughing.
"Lady Edeline I know things might look dire but please..." speaks the Fire Mage.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE?"
"Lady Edeline?"
"It is just Claurilles we are dealing with. Even if he is stronger than he was when little. He is still the same foolish child I knew back then. Why are you so concerned over dealing with that lowly worm?!"
Zelda grips her fist tightly, she stopped herself before she could slap the Paladin.
"Your Majesty?" the Paladin noticed this.
One of the advisors that had left to fetch some of the documents returns.
"Minister do you have the contracts?"
"Yes, Your Highness here they are."
The thick bound volume is brought before Zelda.
Zelda stares at the, garden gnome carrying a pickaxe and a large crystal in its free hand, embossed logo of the "Deepstand Mining Company" on the front of the book.
"gulp."
Zelda swallows nervously.

She opens the lock on the legal tome.
The advisors and ministers work through the carefully laid out legal document.
Trying to find a way to somehow lower the increased price penalty the Kingdom has to pay due to the greedy royal jeweler begging to receive two rupees for free!
Many hours are pass spent fruitlessly looking for a way to escape the evil god of schemes clutches.
"I'm sorry your Highness it cannot be done there is no way to return to our previous price. The penalty fee's are too much. Would you please issue the decree that we should increase the taxes?"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Zelda panics and screams.
CRASH
Zelda collapses out of her throne on to the floor.
"YOUR MAJESTY!" the lone Paladin rushes to help the crying Queen.
"...thank you lady Edeline..." the crying Zelda is helped up.
She returns to her throne.
"SIR HUNFREY, SIR IZDRYN? WHY DID YOU NOT RUSH TO ASSIST HER MAJESTY?!" Lady Edeline reprimands the Knight and Fire Mage.
"..."
They are still.
The Knights visor is closed and the Fire Mage is gripping his hands tightly looking away.
"WHAT IS THIS FOOLISHNESS? I WILL GO TO TALK TO HIM!"
Lady Edeline is infuriated at how things have transpired.
She cannot believe that anyone would fear Geir!
"Please reconsider Lady Edeline..." the Fire Mage whispers sadly.
"Your Majesty here is something for you to drink."
Edith enters she gives the Queen a cup of tea.
"Thank you Edith."
"WHAT IS THE MATTER?! WHY ARE YOU ACTING THIS WAY? CLAURILLES IS JUST THE SAME HALF BRED MONGREL THAT HE WAS WHEN HE WAS LITTLE!"
SMACK
Lady Edeline is slapped through her face.
"Mind you manners child." says Edith the head of the maids.
"SERVANT HOW DARE YOU!"
Lady Edeline withdraws her sword.
"Child sheathe your weapon before you are severely harmed." says Edith returning to her duties.
She turns her back to Lady Edeline.
"HAHAHAHAHA! WHO WILL HARM ME? YOU?" laughs the villainous Lady Edeline.
She moves to strike the defenseless maid.
Lady Edeline sees a hand reach in front of her face.
Suddenly it is dark.
Lady Edeline opens her eyes.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
She screams at the top of her lungs.
Pain surges throughout her whole body!
Panicking she quickly takes in her surroundings.
A bright white room she is laying on something firm.
This smell?
It is the same as what is used to clean objects to disinfect them.
She realizes she is laying in a medical facility.
Lady Edeline tries to move but she feels bound!
She wants to run away!
The pain is too much for her too bare!
Before it was dark.
Lady Edeline still wants to strike Edith.

CRACK
THUD
"AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!"
Lady Edeline is forced to the floor.
Her shoulder has been dislocated.
"GEIR STOP DO NOT KILL HER PLEASE!" begs Zelda.
"Zelda what is going on here?" Geir calmly stands up.
Leaving the Paladin who rolls around painfully grasping at her shoulder.

There is silence.
No one from the Kingdom of Hyrule will look at their future tormentor!
"Ministers what plans have you made? Please give me the documents."
The ministers turn their back toward their Kingdom's enemy!
The one who will ravage it with the penalty fee's for their Royal jewelers endless greed!
Lady Edeline had already recovered.
She stands up and moves towards the Queen's party.
CRACK
She relocated her shoulder to whence it should be once more.
"Zelda what is wrong?" asks the confused Geir.
"Geir today there was a mistake."
"Mistake Zelda?"
"Yes, the Royal jeweler requested..."
Zelda tells her tale of great financial greediness.
Geir's face hardens.
Zelda wants to flee!
The same cold face that she had relished seeing, when her hero would seize the Kingdom of Hyrule's enemies riches for herself.
Now faces her!
Geir extends his hand in front of him.
Everyone flinches in fear.
"Come."
Out of the ether a book is formed!
A magical codex appears in Geir's hands.
Geir puts on his spectacles.
Paging through the book he sets his sights on his target.
"Chapter14: Kingdom of Hyrule texts and documentations."
Geir quickly glances to his side comments to remember which realm and time he is in currently.
Also what he is allowed to do, to further his evil plans, schemes and other plots!
He glances at his notes.
"*personal note do not murder Zelda, Knight or Fire Mage by accident* *personal note number two do not murder Paladin in front of any potential witnesses, still have to decide plausible story for her disappearance dragon ate her, suicide?..."
Geir starts paging to find the contract.
"We will not..." a voice speaks painfully.
"Excuse me?"
Geir looks up from his book.
"We will not pay you." says Lady Edeline.
"Excuse me?"
Zelda can see veins form on Geir's forehead his face is turning red.
"Lady Edeline please do not be concerned I will handle this matter." Zelda tries her best to defuse the disaster that is forming.
"Forgive me Your Majesty..." says Lady Edeline.
Zelda let's out a sigh of relief.
The Paladin's hair hangs in front of her face.
"...it seems the Kingdom has failed you Your Majesty. THIS TIME YOU WILL BE AVENGED I WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN CLAURILLES!"
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Zelda stands up from her throne.
The Paladin unsheathes her silver sword.
"CLAURILLES YOU WILL NOT SPREAD YOUR MISERY HERE ANY LONGER! WE WILL NEVER PAY YOU ANYTHING, ANYMORE, EVER AGAIN!"
"EEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIII!"
SMACK
Zelda hits her hands to her head.
She is already flinching, closing her eyes, bracing for the blood that is sure to fall on her when Geir kills the Paladin instantly.
She waits but there is no blood!
"Zelda is this true? That you will not pay me anymore?"
"NO, GEIR IT IS A LIE! WE WILL PAY YOU!"
"I see very well let us renegotiate these prices..."
"CLAURILLES ARE YOU DEAF? WE DO NOT NEED YOU HERE ANYMORE!"
Zelda sees Geir's rage return almost immediately.
"GEIR! STOP! WAIT!"
Zelda barely saves the Paladin's life.
"Yes, Zelda?" Geir speaks to the Queen once more.
"Geir please forgive us. Overlook this transgression this one time please?" Zelda begs for mercy.
"Zelda..." Geir is looking at the distraught Queen.
Zelda has tears in her eyes, she will cry at any moment.
Geir looks towards the others in the throne room.
They all have sad looks upon their faces, there are many tears.
Even though they are not speaking.
Geir can see each one of them begging from the bottom of their hearts to be saved. He can almost hear their pleas of forgi..
"No." says the cold Geir.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HOLY MOTHER WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US NOW?" Zelda bursts into tears.
Once more the Paladin appears to be a pestilence upon Geir's life.
Pointing her silver blade to aim to strike the fiend that is the evil god of schemes.
"CLAURILLES I WILL DEAL WITH YOU NOW! THEN I WILL MAKE SURE THAT SERVANT IS PUNISHED..."
BAM
THUD
"AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Geir punched Lady Edeline diagonally so hard on the top of her right shoulder, her shoulder's bones shattered, her legs buckling under the force of the blow snapped them and the shock of the blow going throughout her body broke most of her ribs.

She is struggling to breathe.
Her vision is dim.
It is dark for Lady Edeline for the first time again.
"CALL THE HEALERS!" the Knight orders the men.
Zelda shakes her head side to side.
Looking at the foolish Paladin defeated on the floor.
"Zelda I have many things to do. Here are the plans approve them send the men to..."
Geir explains of the Kingdom's future plans.
"I will send a representative from the Deepstand Mining company to come see you tomorrow. If there is nothing else I will be leaving."
"Yes, Geir."
Geir exits the throne room.
Finally the day has ended.
Zelda retires to her room.
She is praying feverishly to the Holy Mother.
"Holy Mother please save my Kingdom from the evil god of schemes! Holy Mother please save my Kingdom from the evil god of schemes! Holy Mother please save my Kingdom from the evil god of schemes!..."
The chanting continues.
Suddenly a holy light falls on the praying Zelda.
She feels a calm tranquility come to her heart.
"Thank you Holy Mother!"
Zelda opens the covers of her bed.
She goes to sleep.
The next day.
Zelda has finished with the morning buffet she walks towards her throne.
Finally sitting down.
"YOUR MAJESTY TODAY WE MUST..."
"Sir Hunfrey do not be alarmed I prayed to the Holy Mother she will save us from this predicament!"
"YOUR MAJESTY!" the Knight is relieved.

Someone knocks on the throne room's doors.
"You may enter."
The wooden door is pushed open.
A beautiful tall woman walks into the throne room.
She is dressed smartly in a grey knee length formal skirt with a white button up shirt that is tucked in neatly and tightly.
Her hair is in a tight braided bun and she is wearing oval glasses with a black frame.
Affixed upon her tucked shirt is the emblem of the Deepstand Mining Company.
She also has the ears of a hare.
"MJRN IS THAT YOU?!" Zelda is surprised.
Zelda wants to run to embrace her best friend in the whole wide world.
The Viera named Mjrn!
"Excuse me Your Majesty my name is Meneves I am here to represent the Deepstand Mining Company. Great Father Geir has requested that we renegotiate some of our fees. If we could, I would like to start immediately?"
"That voice? Mjrn does not speak as clearly."
Zelda is studying the Viera very closely.
Her mannerisms are far too different from her best friend.
"So it is not her..." Zelda thinks.
Remembering her travels in the world of Ivalice.
The race of the Viera are known for looking very similar to each other.
"Your Majesty here are the stipulations of the contracts."
Zelda remembers to return to present thoughts.
The Viera comes closer and produces the documents.
Zelda smiles smugly to herself.
"She does not know what she is getting herself into! My prayers have been answered, I will defeat her, maybe I will even renegotiate a better price!"
Zelda giggles to herself while smiling of her certain victory.
"Yes, let me see that."
Short moments pass.
Sweat is dripping from Zelda's forehead.
"NO! STOP PLEASE! WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS MUCH!"
Zelda's smugness dissipated the moment the Viera started talking.
"IT IS WRITTEN HERE CAN YOU NOT READ?"
The Viera is dominating them completely.
She is screaming loudly at them.
Critiquing every word they say, every move they make and everything they do.
CRASH
The guards stationed in the room collapse.
The fierce woman with ears of a hare's aggressive negotiation style was too much!
The stress took its toll on them.
"PLEASE STOP NOT ANYMORE!" Zelda begs for mercy.
"WE ARE NOT FINISHED! HERE ARE THE LATE FEES AND PENALTIES! TAXES HAVE ALSO INCREASED LATELY! WE WILL RECALCULATE AND REFORMULATE!"
Instantly Zelda remembers of her prayer.
She prayed for protection from the evil god of schemes!
Not from this unknown hellish devil!
"STOP! STOP! STOP! WERE IS GEIR?"
Zelda will use her holy blessing to fight against the evil god of schemes.
"WHAT DOES GEARYWEARY HAVE TO DO WITH THIS?"
"GEARYWEARY!?" the panicking party scream in unison.
"MJRN IS IT REALLY YOU?"
"Yes, Zeldy."
"WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS?
"Zeldy it's business time!" says the beautiful woman with the ears of a hare, staring down at her best friend in the whole wide world.
