It was another Friday night, and another successful title defense for Sapphire on Smackdown.
"Now we are done! This was your last chance!" Sapphire yelled to Summer Rae over the roaring crowd.
"That's where you're wrong." Summer smirked, rolling out of the ring, the lights going off and the whole arena going dark.
Looking around in all directions, Sapphire tried to see what was going on through the camera flashes. Having flashbacks to when she won the title, she headed for the rope to leave. Before she could get there, there was a tall silhouette in front of her. Gasping, she knew who it was.
"Well, well, well..." She heard the worse of Dean throughout the arena. "...little Miss Sapphire."
She turned around, only to be met by another silhouette blocking her.
"We meet again." The lights came on, revealing Roman and Seth blocking Sapphire from leaving the ring.
"No need to say anything..." Dean said, stepping into the ring. "...we were very pleased to hear that you accepted our invitation to join our group." He smirked, stepping closer to her.
"Like hell." She spat, slapping Dean across his face, the crowd roaring at the action.
Dean rubbed his cheek and smirked. "It's official. Everyone here heard you accept our invitation." He grinned. "You every posted it on Twitter." He motioned to the screen, where a message popped up.
"I am so delighted and honored to have been asked to join The Shield. Of course I accept. See you all Friday!" - WWESapphire
"That's a lie!" She yelled, only the four of them being able to hear.
"Maybe, but they don't know that." Seth said in a cocky tone.
"Now..." Dean started. "...I'd like you all to meet the fourth member of The Shield..." He paused. "...Sapphire!"
"We are unstoppable now! Everyone in the back is on notice, including the diva's. No one can touch us!" Seth barked into the microphone.
The Shield's theme music blasted through the arena as Dean and Seth got out of the ring. Sapphire stood there, arms crossed until Roman shoved her to the ropes.
"Go!" He barked in her ear.
Walking to the ropes and jumping down, she tried walking past Dean and Seth, when Dean grabbed her arm.
"Nope."
"You're Diva's Champ!" He yelled, raising her arm in the arm, hold tight as she tried to pull away.
They all walked to the back, behind the curtain, Dean's hold tight on Sapphire's hand.
"Get off!" She tried pulling out of his grip.
"So you can run? I don't think so." Dean coldly said. "You're ours now. You do as we say, when we say it."
"Like hell!" She spat, pulling from his grip, starting to walk away.
"Where the hell you going?" Dean yelled, walking after her.
"My locker room." She said without a care in the world.
"I don't think so." Dean grabbed her. "You're with us, in our locker room." He pulled her in the direction of their locker room.
"I need mt stuff!" She snapped.
"Feisty." Seth grinned.
"Taken care of."
"You can't go in there and none of my friends like you, so they wouldn't help you." She spat.
"All by one." Dean grinned, nodding at a passing Summer Rae.
"That bitch!" Jazmine muttered.
"Let's go!" Dean pulled her toward their locker room, all four walking in and Roman locking the door behind them.
"You know..." Jazmine started. "...everyone is going to try to reach out to me...you can't keep me locked up forever."
"Really? And where is all this confidence coming from?" Dean cocked his head to the side.
"Oh you know..." She trailed off. "...all the years of being free from you and thinking of how differently things could have been."
"You mean..."
"Hell no!" She scoffed. "I should have stood up to you, but..."
"Love." Roman interrupted.
"Shut it!" Jazmine rolled her eyes.
"Oh that eye roll..." Dean huffed. "...you're just lucky..."
"Lucky?" She huffed back. "I'm here with you three. That is less than lucky if you ask me." She rolled her eyes again.
"Bitch!" Dean snapped, slapping her across her face, causing her to lose her balance.
"Ass!" She yelled, holding her cheek.
Jazmine went to lunge for Dean, but was stopped by Roman.
"You motherfucker!" She yelled. "Do that again!" She screamed, trying to get by Roman.
"You want another?" Dean grinned, walking toward her.
"Alright you two." Roman interjected.
"Seth, take him and cool him down, I'll handle her." Roman directed.
Seth nodded and pushed a protesting Dean to the showers.
"Handle me?!" Jazmine say in a sassy tone. "I'll show you!" She pushed Roman away.
"You both need to cool it." Roman shook his head. "You both need to get laid." He mumbled.
"Yeah, right...not by him though."
"And who? Ted?" Roman chuckled. "That's never going to happen, not his he has anything to say about it.."
"Screw him! I'm not his, never was, never will be! I'm my own person and make my own decisions." She stormed away.
"Watch your tone." Roman suggested.
"Or?" Jazmine challenged.
"You don't want to know." Roman mumbled. "Get a shower. We leave in 10."
"I'm not-"
"You are! I'm done! Shower now!" Roman barked.
Taken aback, Jazmine got her dufflle and walked to the showers on the other side of the room. Stepping in, she set her bag down and looked in the mirror. What has she gotten herself into. She looked in her bag for her phone, only to find it missing.
"That ass!" She seethed, knowing where her phone was.
She threw the bag back down and turned the water on, stepping in and letting the hot water run over to aching body. Summer was rougher than usual tonight. Now she knows why. Standing under the water for what felt like forever, she began to wash all the makeup off her face, washing her hair, then her body. When done, she stood there, not wanting to go back out there and hoped they would just leave if she took to long.
"Jazmine!" She heard bellow through the shower room. "Lets go!" Dean barked. "Now!"
Taking a deep breath, gathering all her courage she stepped out of the shower, hair in a towel, only in her undergarments.
"Now that..." Dean stuttered. "...I miss."
"Well...keep dreaming." She rolled her eyes, walking past him to her bag. "I still have two minutes."
"Better hurry. Big plans tonight." Dean smirked, biting his lip as he leaned on the door frame, looking her over.
"In your dreams." She mumbled to herself, pulling on a pair of jeans and a loose fitting t-shirt.
"By the way, I need my phone."
"Nope."
"I need to update all my fans on tonight."
"Already done."
"What do you mean?!" She spun to look at him.
"Seth took care of it while you were in the shower." He smirked.
"Let me guess...he posted the other one too."
"But of course."
Jazmine put the rest of her things in her bag and picked it up, throwing it over her shoulder.
"You know...we are going to be the best couple in WWE ever." Dean grinned.
"Keep dreaming." She scoffed walking past him, only for him to grab her arm.
"What?" He gritted his teeth.
"Let's go you two. We got a flight to catch." Seth said, interrupting.
"Later." Dean seethed in Jazmine's ear.
Jazmine pulled from Dean's grip, only for him to put his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him, her squirming.
"Stop." He gritted, his grip getting tighter, making her wince.
After getting all their things, they left the locker room and headed out of the arena. On the way to the car, they all hear her name being called.
"Jaz!" They heard.
"Jaz! Wait!" The voice became clearer.
"...Ted..." She whimpered.
"She's busy. She'll talk to you later." Roman answered for her.
"No she's not!" Ted yelled. "Jaz! We need to talk!" He yelled to you.
"Bye DiBiase." Seth said, waving him off.
Getting to the car, Dean opened the back door, pushing Jazmine in and sitting next to her. She move a close to the other door as she could, placing her bag between them.
"You never learn." Dean chuckled, shaking his head.
In one swift motion, he tossed her bag in the back and sat next to her, arm around her waist tightly as Roman and Seth got in the front.
"Much to discuss and much to catch up on..." Dean said as the car left the parking lot, heading for the airport.
Looking out the window, Jazmine was looking at the bright lights of the city. She couldn't help but to think about how bright she was, just a month ago before he came back into her life. Pushing everything out of her mind, she began to think of Ted and the last time they were together. That night at the club. She vaguely remembers from all the alcohol, but she remembers how close they were and that it was closer then they have ever been. Then, just now, in the parking lot. The worry and concern in his voice. Did he have the same feelings for her that she had for him? None of that mattered now. She wasn't going to see him again, not as long as she was with them. A tear ran down her cheek as she was brought from her thoughts by a car door opening and closing.
"We're here. Get out." Dean tugged her arm, bringing her back to reality.
Slowly and sluggishly she got out of the car, hoping it would by time and more people would show up that she knew.
"Let's go!" Dean barked, pulling her forcefully from the car and into the airport.
"Where are we going?" She asked, looking at the arrival and departure boards. "I have a show this weekend."
"Not this weekend. We have off and now so do you."
"Just great." She mumbled, shifting her shoulder, getting out of Dean's grip.
"Hey!"
"Relax." She said defeated. "Where am I going to go? You three are here, I have no ride, no other ticket...hell, I don't even know where we are going."
"Well then..." Seth shook his head. "...that wasn't so hard."
"Shut up." She spat, rolling her eyes.
"You and those eyes." Dean gritted, nudging her through the airport. "You will pay for both eye rolls and how you acted with Roman." He gritted in her ear.
She looked back at Roman, who just shrugged with an 'I told you so' smirk. Gritting her teeth, she shook her head as she was lead through the airport. Getting to their gate, shed was pushed down into a seat as Dean sat on one side and Seth on the other, Roman across from them.
"Attention all passengers in the boarding area. We will begin board flight 3921 with non-stop service to Davenport Municipal Airport. We would like to welcome all our first class passengers first." The gate attendant announced over the intercom.
"Iowa?!" Jazmine scoffed.
"Deal with it." Seth hissed.
Standing up, Dean held onto Jazmine while Seth was in front and Roman behind. Walking to the boarding area, Dean's hold got tighter around Jazmine.
"Don't think about it." He hissed in her ear, her biting her lip.
Reaching the gate, Dean handed his ticket to the attendant along with Jazmine's.
"Enjoy your flight." The attendant smiled.
Dean nodded, heading through the gate, Jazmine in tow, walking down the tarmac to the plan.
"Window." Dean said, pushing Jazmine into the row of seats.
"Ow!" She winced, hitting her head on the window. "You ass."
"Small price to pay for everything." He grinned, sitting next to her, hand on her thigh after buckling his belt.
"Off!" She pushed his hand away, only for him to move it back, squeezing hard, her wincing in pain.
"...stop..." She gasped her air.
"You stop."
Sitting across from them were Roman and Seth.
"Think he'll get laid?" Seth said quietly to Roman.
"We can only hope." Roman chuckled as all the passengers boarded the plane.
Once all the passengers were on the plane, the attendant began to make the per-flight announcements. Looking out the window, Jazmine blocked it all out, as she has been on many of planes before and had no interest in listening. Once the flight took off and was up in the air, Jazmine laughed to herself.
"What's so funny." Dean questioned.
"Nothing."
"Out with it." He squeezed her thigh, her wincing.
"Nothing...I was just thinking...I'm going to the land of the cornfields." She giggled.
"Don't let Seth hear that." Dean shook his head.
"Or what? I thought you called all the shots in this group." She raised her brow.
"When it comes to you, I do." He smirked. "I might just have to let him deal with you another way."
"I always did wonder what he was like in bed..." Jazmine teased, Deans grip getting even tighter on her thigh.
"Now, now. Don't go saying things you'll regret."
"Only thing I regret is you." She looked away, his hold becoming unbearable now.
"We'll see.."
The rest of the flight was quiet, Jazmine just wanting to be able to relax since Dean's grip was manageable now. The flight seemed to take forever, but when you're 30,000 feet in the air with someone you despise, five minutes would feel like a lifetime. Finally the plan landed and made its was to the tarmac. Once connected, all the passengers departed, first class being the first ones off. Since they all had carry on bags, they went straight out to the rental car place and got a car. Getting in, it was the same as before, Seth driving this time. As they drove, all Jazmine giggled to herself.
"Stop it."
"Cornfield land." She laughed under her breath.
"What did she say?!" Seth, glared in the rear view mirror.
"No..." She pleaded, fear coming over her now.
"Well..." Dean thought about it. "...she said this is the land of the cornfields." Dean grinned, looking at her.
"You ass." She mumbled as she met Seth's gaze in mirror. If looks could kill, she'd be as good as dead with how Seth was starting daggers at her.
She gulped, resting her had on the window as they kept driving past what seemed like never ending cornfields. Finally, after about twenty minutes, came to a small town. Looking out the window, Jazmine looked for anything that would look familiar. Nope. She's never been here before. Dean was smart to pick Seth's place. She had nowhere to go or run to, expect cornfields. Just at the edge of town, they turned down a quiet street, houses spaced a good distance apart. About five houses down, they pulled into a driveway. Wow. Seth actually had a nice looking house for living in cornfield land.
"We're here." Seth said, shutting the car off.
"Wake up. Time to go." Dean said, nudging Jazmine.
"I am awake." She spat annoyed.
"Tone."
"Tone." She mocked.
"Ooohhh." Seth and Roman said in unison.
Get pulled Jazmine out of the car, grabbing their bags and following Seth to the door. Once unlocked, they all headed inside.
"I'm going to put this one to bed. Save me a beer." Dean said, leading Jazmine to the stairs.
"I'm not tired." She stubbornly said. "I want a beer too..."
"To bad." Dean said, leading her upstairs.
Once upstairs, they took a right and headed down the hall to once of the guest rooms. All the way, Jazmine taking in the layout of the house and, the closeness of the rooms. About two doors down on the right, they stopped, Dean opening a door and pushing Jazmine inside.
"Get changed and sleep." Dean commanded.
"One. I'm not a dog. Two. I'm not tired." Jazmine said waving her finger in his face.
"Put that finger away." Dean clenched his teeth.
"What? You going to break it...again?" She waved it more as he grabbed her finger.
"Maybe..." He gritted, twisting her finger.
"Careful..." She winced. "...don't want to injure your new member right after you put the whole roster on notice now, do you?"
"Damn it!" He hissed, letting her finger go.
"Looks like I got leverage on your for once." She smirked.
"Think again." He spat, slapping her across the face, causing her to fall to the floor.
Jazmine sat there, holding her cheek, in shock of what just happened. She swore he would never do that again. She stood just, defiant as ever and got in his face.
"Never, ever do that again!" She yelled, nose to nose with him.
"Or what?" He smirked, only for her to slap his hard across the face.
"Bitch!" He seethed, the stinging on his face painful.
While he was distracted, Jazmine ran for the door, getting it open and making a run for it down the hall only to see Roman coming up the stairs. Doubling back, she saw Seth behind her. Nowhere to go, she went into the first room she saw and closed the door locking it behind her. Turning on the light, she saw she was in a small hall closet.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck." She muttered, looking for any escape.
"Where is that bitch!" Dean yelled, running out of the room.
Roman and Seth looked at the closet, as Dean walked over and started banging on the door.
"Open this door now or I swear it'll be worse or you later." He yelled, trying to open the door.
"Leave me alone!" Jazmine yelled, wanting to be alone and free of him.
"Dean...you need to calm down."
"No! She-"
"Roman's right. Come down, have a beer and cool down."
"But, she-"
"She will not be going anywhere, trust me." Roman grinned.
Dean paced back and forth, running his hands through his hair, debating on what to do. Finally, he cooled down enough to walk away and down stairs. Seth motioned to Roman to watch the door and Roman nodded.
"The nerve of her..." Dean seethed as Seth handed him and beer.
"She'll come around. Give her time."
"She's stubborn. You don't know her as well as I do."
"I'd like to believe I do." Seth said, taking a sip of his beer. "Plus, you both need time apart." Dean glared at Seth.
"Whoa." He put his hands up in defense. "Not her with another guy...like, let Roman or myself take a shift. Let us try to convince her this is a good plan."
"I don't know." Dean rubbed his next.
"Dude, we know she is yours. You have nothing to worry about with us."
"It's not you I''m worried about." Dean sipped his beer. "She's defiant and knows how to get under my skin, even if it is one of you."
"True but, just know...we know who she belongs to."
Dean nodded and he and Seth walked out to the family room to sit on the couch and finish their beer.
After not hearing any noise for awhile, Jazmine cracked open the door and looked to see if anyone was around. Breathing a sigh of relief, she walked out of the closet.
"Going somewhere." A voice said, making her jump.
"Christ!" She gasped, holding her chest. "You scared the shit out of me!"
"My bad?" Roman slightly chuckled.
"You going to finish that?" Jazmine said, taking his beer and helping herself to a big swig.
"No...but..." He trailed off.
"Can I get another?" She asked, handing him the empty bottle.
"No." He shook his head. "You weren't allowed to have that one."
"I'm a big girl and I can say when I can and can't drink...not him." She scoffed.
"You want me to get in trouble?"
"Yeah...you...in trouble." She rolled her eyes. "You can take him. Trust me. I saw you in developmental."
"Really?" He raised his brow. "You watched us?"
"Well..." She bit her lip. "...you mostly." She blushed.
"I know what you're doing." Roman shook his head. "You're getting in my head. It'd not going to work."
"You really are all the same." Jazmine said in disappointment. "I'm going to bed." She turned and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Roman stopped her.
"Bed."
"Nope. Not in there."
"Come on!" She wined. "I need to be alone right now."
"Sorry." He took her arm, rather gently, which surprised her.
He led her downstairs and to where Dean and Seth were talking, Dean being more relaxed now.
"Look who finally came out." Roman said as they entered the family room.
"Finally." Dean sighed, motioning her over.
Jazmine hesitated, only to be pushed over by Roman and sat down next to Dean, his arm going around her. Roman went back into the kitchen, getting three more rounds of beer.
"Me?" Jazmine asked.
"No..." Dean slurred. "None for you." He pointed at her, swaying as he did.
She rolled her eyes, leaning back against the couch. She caught the gaze of Seth who looked at her as of telling her to behave. She shot him a glare and his face changed from somewhat nice to just pure mean. He shook his head, taking a sip of his beer, focusing back on the conversation.
After a few more rounds of beer and a few shots, the guys were pretty much hammered. Since Jazmine was not drinking and bored with the conversation, she started to nod off.
"Alright, I'm heading to bed." Roman said, standing up from the chair he was in, swaying a little.
"Great." Jazmine mumbled at the thought of having to help them all up stairs.
"Night." Roman half waved as he headed for the stairs.
"Me too. Night man." Seth said, standing and heading upstairs to his room.
"Where did everyone go?" Dean slurred, looking around.
"Bed." Jazmine simply said.
"Awe. No fun." Dean pouted.
"Well..." Jazmine said she she started to stand.
"I'm not that drunk...where you going?"
"Bed...with you...unfortunately." She mumbled the last part.
"Let's go!" Dean slurred, standing up, swaying.
"And...here we go again." She rolled her eyes. "Gotta take your drunk ass to bed...again." She groaned as he leaned on her for support.
Walking up the stairs, she led them both to the room they were staying in. Closing the door behind them, she led Dean to the bed where he fell right down on his back. Looking at him laying there, she shook her head and walked over to her back to put on her sweatpants. Walking back over to help him on the bed more before trying to sneak out, he reached down and grabbed her, pulling her down so she was on his chest.
"Great." She sighed, tying to get out of his hold.
Trying to think of a way out of his hold, she decided to lay there for a bit until he was more asleep and relaxed. Knowing it would be awhile, she made the most of it but trying her old tricks with him. She began to run her hands through his hair before moving to the scruff on his face. Running her fingers through it, he stirred a bit.
"Babe." She softly said. "Bathroom." She whispered.
Dean nodded, letting go of her, her being able to get out of his hold.
"Idiot." She laughed, shaking her head as she walked to the door.
Walking out the door, she was met by Seth's dog.
"Hi doggy..." She softly said, trying to hush his growls.
Slowly backing up, his growls got a bit louder.
"PooPoo." She heard. "Come." She looked to see Seth calling him. "Good boy." He patted his dogs side.
"PooPoo?"
"Enough. Bed." He pointed to the room.
"No." She shook her head. "Not with him." She stood her ground.
"Fine." He sighed. "Let's go." He motioned for her to follow.
"With you...no." She protested.
"Me or Dean. Your choice before I wake him up."
"No!" She stopped him. "...you..." She mumbled.
He moved his hand, motioning for her to go. She walked past him, to his room. Walking in, the room was huge. Looking around, there was a king size bed, two chairs, and a small sofa. Walking to the sofa, Jazmine laid down. Watching Seth walk to the bed, she pretended to be asleep. While waiting for him to go back to sleep, she got an idea. One that would piss Dean off. After being sure he was asleep, she walked over to the bed, laying down and cuddling next to him with a smirk on her face.
