Finally, the day of the first Chounin Exams arrives and the two boys are staring blankly at their plates. I can see that they are nervous, so I place a hand on their shoulders. When they meet my gaze with blank eyes I give them a big smile. "You will do a great job," I tell them firmly. Haku closes his eyes with a shaky sigh and nods his head. Naruto takes a deep breath and smiles back at me. After that they eat quickly, and get ready to leave. We all leave together and walk towards the school building where the first exam was going to take place.

"Haku, you got everything I gave you right?" I ask him.

"Yes, I have everything," he says placing a shaking hand on his pouch.

"Remember, paralyzing is just as effective as killing. You do not at any point during this have to kill anyone unless they are about to kill you. If it is self defence you had better make it out in one piece," I tell him firmly.

"I will," he assures me.

"Naruto," I look at him and he looks up at me with a new found excitement. "Will you be continueing with your knuckle head facade?" I ask him.

"Yes, at least until the third exam. I do not want to draw attention to myself too early," he says with his biggest grin. Outside the school, Naruto hurries over to his team waiting in front of Kakashi. I feel his eyes on me almost immediately, but for now ignore. I watch as Haku goes over to his temporary team, though I notice that Kabuto is missing. I smirk at that. Sarutobi, must have detained him without anyone else noticing a thing. Though the two genin on the boy's team sure do look nervous. Without Kabuto they can not enter the exams.

Once Haku and Naruto enter the building Kakashi hurries over to my side. "So what do you want to do while we have ni kids under foot?" He asks. I meet his gaze, and feel heat pool in my abdomen. My only answer is to grip his hand, before apparating to his place.

"We only have an hour, I want to be there when they finish the first part of the exam," I tell him. He groans, but pulls his mask down anyways. His kiss is full of fire, and makes my mind draw a blank.

The room quickly fills up with the groups of Genins, all hoping to be promoted to chounin level after the Exams have finished. Ibiki stands at the front of the classroom watching as they all stand around glaring at each other. Trying to intimidate without saying anything. His attention is drawn to the door as three new groups enter, and he smiles when he sees Naruto. He loved the one time he had been left alone with the small child. He never would have thought he could have a loose tongue, but with just a look and a slight chin wobble the boy had managed to get him to talk about a great many things he shoudln't have.

Something about those deep blue eyes, is very disarming. He notices that Naruto is talking very animatedly with his two team mates, and Sasuke, and the new kid Haku. It doesn't take too long before the other rookie nine cluster around them and laughter fills the room. This draws the attention of everyone else to the group as well. Ibiki notices that there are really only two groups interested in the rookies. The team from sand and the team from sound. Hopefully they know better than to try anything here and now.

"Alright listen up, It is time to begin the first exam!" Ibiki's deep voice fills the room. At this cue the proctors that had been out of sight thus far materialize into view, and take their positions around the room. The groups are all split up so that no one from the same team is sitting anywhere near each other. Ibiki runs down the rules for the exam and feels a tick starting as Naruto, who is sitting right in front of him keeps asking annoying questions. Finally he manages to get through the rules, and starts the time. Right before his eyes, and the eyes of the proctors, Naruto, Haku, and Sasuke finish the exam within seconds. The fastest recorded time ever. Ibiki also notices that Naruto willingly lets Ino take over his body so she can have the answers too. Then to his complete surprise Naruto goes to sleep! Ibiki walks over to one of the proctor's so he can speak quietly with him.

"Am I seeing things or is Uzumaki really sleeping right now?" he asks.

"You are not seeing things. The new genin from wave is as well," he points out, and sure enough the two of them are sleeping as if nothing is wrong. As they watch the person sitting to Haku's left tries to flip his paper over and read the answers. Ibiki call his number and make him and his team mates leave.

The rest of the hour is spent calling out numbers of people who were caught cheating in obvious ways. He smiles at all the inventive ways some of the Genin get away with. He starts explaining the last question and when he is done watches as even more people just get up and leave. Although everyone jumps when Naruto sits up with a start yelling something in a strange language that is answered by his teammates, Haku and Sasuke. That is a very clever way of passing information. Using a language that other do not know. Finally Ibiki calls out that everyone still sitting in the room has passed the first Exam.

No sooner than the words leave his mouth then Anko makes a flashy appearance through the window. "Hey there Auntie Anko!" Naruto says happily. Every grown up in the room shivers at the fact she is that close to the blonde boy. If she lets him call her something so close, there is no doubt she has spent a considerable amount of time with him.

"Hey there chibi fox! Have you tried out that prank we discussed yet?" she asks him.

"Oh yeah I did, but it did not go as I thought it would. The guy passed out from fear," he admits, and the whole room just stares openly at the two of them.

"But that is the best part," she says with an evil smirk. "Hey, Ibiki why are there still so many people in here? Are you slipping in your old age?" she asks.

"No, this group is just made of sterner stuff than what we normally see," he says with irritation.

"Well no fear, the forest will cut down the numbers for sure," she says.

"Really! But you always take me there!" Naruto says with a pout.

"Hush up, this time you have a task. Now everyone follow me to the second exam!" she exits through the door this time. The genin follow her out slowly, while at the same time trying to avoid each other as much as possible. As Ibiki picks up Naruto's test he laughs at the little doodle the kid put in the box for the tenth question. Sasuke and Haku also put little drawings, and Yamanaka and Hinata decided to just leave them blank. Over all, it was an interesting exam.

I watch as Anko leads the genin out, and wave hyperly at Naruto and Haku. They respond with just as much vigor. Kakashi had needed to go see the Hokage, so I follow the group and keep an eye out on things. I watch from afar as she explains the rules and what the teams need to do. Naruto says something and she flings a kunai at him. What sets my hackles to raise is when the grass nin gives the kunai back. I approach that person and use every instinct I have to check them out.

"So how are you feeling about these exams?" I ask her sweetly.

"I am very confident that I shall succeed," she says in a wispy voice.

"I see, may I offer a piece of advice?" I ask, touching her shoulder and placing a tracking spell on her.

"I do not see how that could possibly hurt," she agrees.

I lean in very close. "Stay away from my genin or I will hunt you down and gut you like the snake you are," I growl lowly so only she can here me. In that split second she releases a tiny bit of her tight control. Enough for me to know who she really is. Before she can do anything else, I have a chakra seal over her mouth, and seal her into the scroll I spent so much effort in making.

"Sorry Anko, I cut down the genin by three," I tell her.

"No worries," she says with an easy smile.

"Naruto, Haku, Sasuke, I will be there at the tower, but first I need to get this to T&I," I tell them before disappearing on the spot.
