CHAPTER 57

Blaine lay in bed wondering how he was going to tell Kurt what he thought he'd seen that night. Sitting up on the stage had its drawbacks…the lights were hot and sometimes they blinded him to the audience; this was both good and bad. It often allowed him to lose himself in the music and not be distracted by what all the crazy people were doing on the floor, but sometimes, he needed the distraction. Tonight was one of those nights and, boy o' boy, was he distracted.

When Seb had come over earlier in the week to talk about Jackson, he'd brought a photo, probably a driver's license photo, of the man who tormented Kurt. Blaine agreed that he looked very much like the man who had been standing outside their apartment the day he'd run into Sebastian while getting his mail. He felt like that face had been burned into his brain…like it was imperative that he memorize every detail just in case. So when he spotted a man who he was sure was Jackson Hardy in the crowd that evening, he nearly launched himself from the stage to get to him. It took every ounce of strength in him to hold back. What if he was mistaken? What if his rattled mind was getting the better of him?

Thankfully, there was only one more song before their break, so when the time came, he grabbed everyone backstage and let them know his thoughts, had Finn glance out and try to find him, to no avail, and then asked for a couple of bouncers to come to the back room. Finn had photos on his phone of Kurt and Jackson, and although they weren't current, he didn't look all that different. They were asked simply to keep a look out for him, and then if he showed up, to keep an eye on him. Blaine was a wreck and with Kurt not showing up, it was everything he could do to stay on stage and do his job. As it was, he was already in trouble with Mac for having his phone out while playing, but he wouldn't stop until someone got in touch with Kurt in person. Hearing Kurt's voice on the voicemail telling him that he was home and he was fine was a weight lifted from his shoulders, but he was still upset.

Spending any time with Kurt that evening wasn't a good idea. Blaine's nerves were stripped and he wasn't in a good frame of mind. He loved Kurt so much, so quickly, and he was afraid of saying something horrifyingly harsh because of it. No, he'd get some sleep and talk to Kurt later, after calming down a bit.

It was a simple mistake. Kurt had fallen asleep without setting an alarm and had just overslept. It was an honest mishap, right? No need to get all up in Kurt's grill over it, especially with all the hours Kurt had been putting in to ready everything for the show. His man was tired, and it was evident in the dark circles starting to show under his eyes. Maybe his energy would be better spent finding something to relax Kurt. Maybe they needed a weekend away or something? It was an idea to ponder, if nothing else…in the morning, after sleep.

He was awakened by delicious smells and the sound of someone trying to move around the kitchen quietly. It occurred to him that there would be food, and he was probably welcome to some if he moved from the bed, but he was tired…so tired. And the thought of eating Jeff's cooking wasn't something he looked forward to, unless he'd progressed quite a bit since college. He didn't cook at the apartment much, and surely not breakfast. They'd practically made butt prints in the corner booth at the little diner down the street with as often as they ate breakfast there. With that thought, he drifted back to sleep.

"Kurttt….oh my God…..please…." he heard himself say. For a dream, this was pretty fantastic. He allowed his eyes to remain closed, arched his back and his hips jerked forward toward the warmth and the wetness. Instinct had his arms raising to cover his eyes with one wrist and grab the bedpost with the other, his knuckles white with how hard he was squeezing the wood bars in his left hand. The scent of coffee was in the air, wafting in from the kitchen, most likely, but the scent of Kurt was even stronger…lilac and vanilla today…so good. Bacon…toast….what else? Maple syrup, and the sound of Jeff's voice. Wait, what? No….no need for Jeff's voice with Kurt's lips wrapped around his shaft. Jeff didn't belong in this kind of dream.

"Please…..baby….more….." Blaine whined…hips lifting again. He was moaning…. panting now, not harshly, but enough that he was feeling almost lightheaded between his breathing and the effects of the blowjob…amazing….Kurt's mouth. He wasn't mad at Kurt…no….have to work things out with Kurt….beautiful Kurt….. he thought, enjoying his musings and his dream. More muffled voices from beyond the door..….

"You think he's gettin' head?"

"Absolutely, he's moaning like a whore, what the hell else could be going on in there?"

"They could be eating blueberry pancakes. I've heard stories about those pancakes."

"I think we should be able to watch. You live here after all."

"You're right, that's only fair, right?"

"Tenant privilege, for sure. Wanky, baby, who knew you had voyeuristic tendencies…hawtttt!"

"fuck…make them shut up….ohGod…wannafuckyourmouth….Kurttttt…"

"The damn door is locked. This sucks!"

"Clearly not the only thing that sucks…" Hilarious giggles. "

"Uh uh….I know how YOU suck, baby, and it's mind blowing…"

"Kurt, we need a better soundtrack, could you speed it up?"

A snicker, and puffs of warm air on the trimmed hair at the base of his cock. Wait…..dreaming, right?

"C'mon, Kurtie, make it happen. I know all about the noises Jeff makes, let's see if Blaine's in the same category?" ...from the other side of the door again. "Whada ya say, Blaine, do all Dalton boys scream the same?"

"How 'bout you make your Dalton boy scream, Nicky….gettin' a little hot in here….."

Kurt's mouth, so hot, so wet, almost sticky this morning taking him for all he's worth, head bobbing like it's his fucking job over Blaine's shaft, and he swallowed…stuttered slightly and groaned long and low now, oh God…..hard as Blaine can remember ever being, and suddenly, he wasn't sure he was dreaming but if he was, he was about to ruin his dreamy sheets because-

"Ughhh….Kurt…please…ohhhh…..fuck…..shitKurt…I'm….comingKurtbabyplease…..FUCK!" he shouted, eyes flying open, the hand over his eyes reaching toward his cock, finding the soft, chestnut hair he wanted, taking a firm hold and forcing his shaft down Kurt's throat roughly…once…twice...three times…Kurt gagging a little. "Christ Jesus, Kurt, take it all….every drop!" he all but growled. "Yes…..oh fuck yeah…." Blaine said, his heart racing, his hips finally still, and his eyes meeting Kurt's for the first time that morning. Kurt's were a sea of blue, watering, and Blaine's were dazed and he watched as Kurt never lost eye contact with him, pulling off of him with a slurp and a pop and crawling up the bed onto his chest, leaning in to kiss him firmly yet lovingly. The stickiness was still there, only now he was well aware of what was causing it…maple syrup?

"Sorry…I'm so sorry, baby…I thought…I didn't realize…." Blaine stuttered out, still trying to catch his breath.

There was a loud thump at the door, more hushed noises and some grunting now.

"Go away you assholes!" Blaine yelled at the door. "Sick ass roommate and his crazy boyfriend listening at the door! Who does that?" he grinned. More thumps, more groans, and the clink of ….a belt buckle?

"Jeffrey…whose belt was-" Kurt started to tease.

"Shit Jeffie! Ohhhh…..oh hell yeah…." They heard Nick mutter, the door to Jeff's room finally closing sharply.

"I think you turned them on beyond their control, Kurt." Blaine giggled.

"Wasn't me, it was the sinful monologue from you! That was…um… pretty steamy. We'll have to try that again sometime." Kurt said shyly, his breath still somewhat erratic, glancing at Blaine from beneath his lashes.

"I won't complain…anytime you want to wake me up like that, I'm all for it. That was, by far, the very best wakeup call ever. Sheezus…my heart's still racing." Blaine grinned, watching Kurt's cheeks as the red stain worked its way up to the tips of his ears. "You are quite amazing at that…your mouth is….I have no words, really." He said, leaning down to peck Kurt on the nose.

"I um…I made you breakfast…if that's ok? If you're hungry? I know I have some sucking up to do after last night, so I thought I'd start with some…um….sucking." Kurt giggled, blushing more. "I was hoping we could talk or…if you want to…if you don't, it's ok, I'll just-"

"Yes, we need to talk. I'm not angry, Kurt, so please, don't look at me like that. I was upset last night, but not angry. I was worried, that's all. It was an honest mistake, no harm done. It's over with, nothing to rehash. Just…just lay here with me?" Blaine asked.

"I'd love to." Kurt smiled.

"But…um…I need to uh…use the bathroom, I think, and brush my teeth, if that's ok?" he said, scooting from the bed and out from under Kurt.

"You do that, and I'll change your sheets real quick."

"No need to change the sheets, I did it yesterday and you sure didn't allow for any mess from me this morning, so…..Kurt?" Blaine said, catching Kurt's attempts to avert his eyes from the bed and hide his lip being bitten while his ears turned even more crimson. He glanced down at his boyfriends crotch, noting his jeans hanging loose, the fly open and gaping and Kurt's t-shirt barely covering everything under it. He'd cum so hard his mind was fried and he realized that he'd left Kurt without any release…but there was no evidence of Kurt struggling with it.

"I uhm…I may or may not have…um…it's just that you were so vocal this time. You're usually so quiet and reserved and ….it's sort of ….really hot…and it made me…." Kurt blushed ever further, avoiding eye contact. Blaine approached Kurt, who was now standing at the side of the bed and put his hands on the man's cheeks, tipping his head up to meet his eyes.

"Kurrrrt…when you were using that beautiful, pink, wet, soft mouth to get me off, were you grinding that perfect, thick cock of yours into my clean sheets? Did you jizz all over them just to the sound of my voice when you made me cum so, so hard?" Blaine whispered wickedly into Kurt's ear, his hands cupping Kurt's ass inside his jeans and squeezing.

"I-I might have…um…yeah. Sorry…'bout the sheets, that is." Kurt said, still blushing.

"Don't ever, ever apologize for feeling good, Kurt. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to help you with that. But there's always a next time, and from the feel of things, the next time isn't far off." Blaine said seductively, rubbing his leg and hip into Kurt's groin. "Tell me breakfast can be reheated?"

"Who needs to eat, anyway?" Kurt managed to breathe out while Blaine nipped at his neck.

"Food….overrated…." Blaine grinned.

2:10p from Cooper: Hey, Mom, I just wanted to say hi and see how things are going. I haven't heard from you in a while. Call me or text me when you have time?

4:27p from Mom: Hi Honey. Things have been a bit nutty around the house here lately. I have some things I want to talk to you about anyway, so I'll call you. When do you get home from work?

4:29p from Cooper: I'm leaving now. I came in early this morning for a deposition. I hope you're doing well?

4:31p from Mom: I'm ok. I was thinking of….maybe visiting. Soon? Would that be ok with you and Blaine? I miss you boys and I

4:33p from Cooper: Mom? You didn't finish that sentence. Did it drop your service or something?

4:35p from Mom: I'll talk to you soon, honey.

4:36p from Cooper: Ok. As long as everything is alright?

4:37p from Mom: Fine

Cooper was not convinced at all. That didn't sound like his mom to just end a conversation with "fine". He decided it would be best to let Blaine know their mom might be visiting?

4:40p from Coop: B, I just texted mom and she said she'll call me tonight, she wants to talk, and she might come to visit!

4:42p from Blainers: I miss her. I hope she decides to visit. Did she say how things are going? Is she keeping busy?

4:43p from Coop: She said things around the house have been nutty and she was going to call to talk about something. It was weird though, she broke off a sentence and it sent without being finished. Then when I asked if everything was ok all she said was "fine" and that was all. I'll tell you if she calls me tonight.

4:47p from Blainers: Coop, do you think everything is ok? Should I call her?

4:48p from Coop: I'm sure all is well. She would have said something if not. Right?

4:50p from Blainers: I guess. I hope so. Tell her I said hello and that I love her.

4:52p from Coop: Will do bro.

The knock on the door startled Kurt and he poked himself with a needle he was using to put a button on the collar of the shirt in his lap.

"Hey Kurt, it's me…you home?" came Hunter's voice from the other side of the door. Oddly, it sounded almost like Blaine for a minute there, he laughed.

Kurt yanked the door open and welcomed his friend inside, surprised to see him.

"What brings you by…you were just here last night….not that I'm not happy to see you, that is!" Kurt laughed. "Have a seat?" he said, wandering back over to his sewing table.

"I was on my way to class and I was close by. Have um…have you seen Seb lately?" Hunter asked. "Heard him over there or anything?"

"Actually, no. He took me to the shooting range earlier this week, but I haven't seen him in a few days, why?"

"He took…the shooting range?" Hunter spluttered, surprised.

"Something about wanting me to be prepared to use a firearm if it ever came to that. I'm not one for guns though. I think I disappointed him. The Taser wasn't so bad. I can think of a few guys I went to high school with that I'd like to try that thing out on!" he grinned.

"I just wondered. I think he's out of town again. He sent me a text last night, and it seems like he's drunk texting again." Hunter said, the light going out of his eyes, his focus on the floor.

"Uh oh, what'd he say?"

"See for yourself." Hunter said handing the phone over.

2:27a from Seb: Whhhy dont you ansser me hunter. Dont you know I need you and you just ugnote me an im dyin withouut you an you just do not care at allll! Wjen my dick fallls off is gonna be yur fault cus of not beingg able to use ut anymore cus you wont callll me an I so fuking lonely god dammmmmmit.

"Yeah, definitely drunk. On the bright side, it appears he's not using his dick. That's a bright spot, right?" Kurt said, attempting to lighten the mood. Hunter smiled at this and shook his head.

"I have no illusions that he's not sleeping around. I think I know him too well. He goes a little crazy without sex…he gets all moody and cranky and generally acts like a douche to whoever gets in his path." He explained.

"So basically, all the time?" Kurt said, snarky as ever. "Or at least as long as I've lived here?"

"If only…"

"Why didn't you text him back, Hunter?" Kurt said, moving to sit next to him on the sofa.

"I have so much to say to him, Kurt, and none of it going to be said if it's not face to face and certainly not when he's drunk and maybe in some other guy's bed." He said, his voice choked off a little.

"I understand. I do, don't look at me like that. It's important…this talk the two of you need to have. Don't do it until you're ready to put all of your cards on the table…and then expect the same of him. Don't let him get away with not telling you how he feels and what he needs as well. You are important in this too, Hunter." Kurt told him.

"I know…I know. When he gets back I guess. If you hear him over there, or…if you see him…tell me?"

"Absolutely. But promise me one thing? When he gets back and you guys talk, don't just fall into bed with him right away. I know you're aware that he misses it, and you probably do too, but don't…just don't give in that easily until you get what you want from the conversation?"

"Ok, mom, I won't…." Hunter laughed. "It'll be tough, though. The things Seb can do in bed…"

"Oh my God, I don't wanna know!" Kurt laughed, throwing his hands over his ears. "Promise me!" he said, his eyebrows raised now.

"Ok, ok, I promise!" Hunter said with a chuckle. "No falling into bed with the love of my life when I next see him no matter how he makes me shudder when I come, my toes curl, or my co-."

"ENOUGH!" Kurt said, hands over his ears again. "I can't even….just no."

"Sorry…not sorry."

"Good…now….What's on your agenda today, anyway?" Kurt asked.

"Class tonight. I have an exam ….well, you don't care about all that." He smiled.

"I care…probably more than you know. I don't like seeing you so upset. But for what it's worth, Sebastian hasn't been the same since you've been gone. He's very quiet and he's lost a lot of his snark. I think it's taking its toll on him, Hunter. You guys need to talk and work things out." Kurt said, giving Hunter a grin and a whack on the shoulder.

"I know, and we will. Soon. I miss him, Kurt. I never knew how much I'd miss him. Is it bad to hope he's hurting as much as I am?" Hunter asked, looking almost ashamed.

"Yes and no. I know you don't really want him hurting, but you do want him to miss you as much as you're missing him….and I think that's accurate. He's hurting; you can totally tell that by the text message. Get in touch with him, Hunt. Don't let it go on any longer than it has to."

"Yep….ok. Alright, I have to run. I'll talk to you later. Lunch sometime soon?"

"Absolutely! Who turns down lunch with eye candy?" Kurt laughed, and Hunter shoved him in the shoulder. Kurt found it odd that he took it in stride when a shove like that used to send him cowering. "Go kick that exam's ass!"

"On it. See you, Kurt." Hunter said closing the door behind him. Kurt smiled, knowing he'd made a good friend and loving how that made him feel inside. Picking up his phone, he went to his messages and found Blaine's name.

5:52p from Kurt: I love you.

5:53p from B: I love you too. What brought this on? NOT that I don't love hearing it.

5:54p from Kurt: I don't know. Hunter was just here. He needs to talk to Seb. They're both falling apart. Just makes me happy with what we have. I never thought I'd have it, so it's pretty important to me. So yeah…I love you.

5:56p from B: I'm….wow, Kurt. I'm a little speechless. You make me so happy sometimes that I just don't know what to say about it, or what I'd do without it. *insert wiggly eyebrows* or what I'd do if I couldn't DO YOU….

5:58p from Kurt: The feeling is mutual, love.

Kurt got up from the sofa and walked toward the windows that looked into Blaine's music room, and there he was. The love of his life was sitting at the keyboard, not playing, but writing something.

5:59p from Kurt: Play it for me?

Blaine's eyes snapped to the window, and seeing Kurt there, he smiled and blew him a kiss, set the music sheets aside and ran his fingers over the keys. Kurt's Song poured out of him like water from a fountain and Kurt pulled the window up a few inches, despite the heat, so he could hear more clearly. He let it soak into his skin and inundate his mind with feeling and love. The words of loss in the beginning of the song were so sad and Kurt was glad he knew how the song ended…how their story ended, so that it didn't seem like such a sorrowful song. It calmed him and gave him hope for Hunter and Seb. If he and Blaine could find each other in this big world…this big city, then surely those two could work things out?

The last strains of the song lilted over to Kurt and he was still leaning on the side of the window smiling. Blaine looked up at him and smiled back, mouthing "I love you", his eyes crinkling at the corners as he did so. Kurt mouthed the words back to him and gave a little wave, moving back to his sewing, his needle and his little button that was giving him so much grief.

"But I don't want you to go." Jeff whined.

"I know…I know baby, and I don't want to go, but I have to. I have some work to do. I have to get all the paperwork for the building settled for Blaine before work tonight. Mrs. Raymond is sending out letters tomorrow to the tenants telling them that the building is being sold and all that good stuff. Remember, Blaine doesn't want Kurt to know anything about it. As far as he's concerned, Blaine doesn't know anything more than he does." Nick said.

"I know, I know…I won't say a word. SOME OF US can keep a secret!" he yelled, loudly enough for Blaine to hear in his music room.

"Bite me!" was the reply from down the hall.

"Biting is reserved for my hot ass boyfriend, not you!" Jeff yelled back. Nick snickered.

"Someday, some way, I'm going to get you guys back for that shit you pulled this morning outside my door!" Blaine said, walking down the hallway toward them with a shit eating grin on his face. "You won't know when or where or how, but I will repay you for that." He said with menace, but the smile gave him away.

"Ooooooh, I'm so scared!" Jeff said, mocking him.

"Don't push me, Sterling. There are still things I can tell Nick, here, about you that I'm sure you wouldn't want him knowing about." Blaine grinned evilly.

"Nope, I'm an open book. He knows everything I know."

"Mmhmmmm….we'll see." Blaine side-eyed him. "I have so many old photos he hasn't seen…"

"Ok, you two, go ahead and bicker. I'm out. Blaine, I'll see you later on at work. Jeffie, you comin'?" Nick said as he approached the door to leave.

"Not currently, but we could work on that if you'd stay? You sure did a fine job of making that happen this morning." He grinned, making Nick blush.

"Goodbye Nick, please leave." Blaine said, pushing him out the door. "And hello cold shower, here's Jeff" he said passing Jeff with his sandwich and drink on his way back to his music room.

"Spoilsport!" Jeff yelled after him.

"Nympho!" Blaine shot back, laughing. Jeff followed Blaine down the hallway and leaned in the doorway.

"How in the world are you going to get all the renovations done up there without Kurt knowing you have something to do with the sale of the building? You know you're going to be up there every damn day wanting in on whatever's going on." Jeff asked.

"I have a plan, actually. It's not foolproof, but I'll have to play it by ear. I'm hoping to actually include Kurt in the design process without him actually knowing he's designing for himself." Blaine grinned.

"And how's that going to work?"

"Little white lies that I hope he'll forgive me for when it's all said and done?" Blaine told him, hopefully.

"I gotta see you pull this one off." Jeff said, shaking his head.

"So, are you going to the Dive tonight or what?" Blaine asked.

"Yeah, I think so. Is Kurt going?"

"I hadn't asked him. After the debacle last night I was afraid to bring it up. I'll run over there now and see if he's up for it. Be back."

Jeff headed over to Kurt's and knocked, but there was no answer. He knocked again and waited but Kurt didn't come to the door. It was odd, because he'd just heard him over there while Nick was leaving. Reaching down he pushed the door open and stepped inside.

"Kurt?" he said into the quiet room. "Kurt! Are you here?" he said again. Surely he wouldn't leave his door open and go anywhere.

"Yep, I sure am!" came loudly from behind him and scared the crap out of Jeff.

"Jesus, Kurt!" he said, his hand on his heart. "Where were you?"

"Went to get my mail. Why are you snooping around my apartment like you're in a Scooby Doo episode or something?"

"Ha-ha-freaking-ha." Jeff deadpanned. "I came to see if you wanted to go with me to the Dive tonight?"

"Oh…um…I guess I could do that. Are you staying til close?" Kurt asked.

"I don't know. Depends on how crowded it is I guess."

"I'll go, at least for a little bit I suppose. I kinda still feel bad after last night."

"Cool, I'll come by around 9:30 for you. We can walk over together?" Jeff said.

"Sounds like a plan. I'll be ready."

The bar was warm and the bodies were plentiful when they arrived. The band was warming up and the crowd was dancing to something pumped through the speakers…techno music that wasn't Kurt's thing at all. Kurt was dressed to kill tonight and Jeff had clearly done the same. All eyes seemed to be on them and Kurt wasn't upset about this in any way. Where it would have once upset him, he was happy to be the center of anyone's visual attention in a creation he'd designed and sewn himself. He looked absolutely amazing if he did say so, and Blaine's eyes nearly bugged out of his head when he saw him. His pants were so tight he was afraid that if he sneezed there would be fallout…shreds of fabric flying everywhere. He grinned to himself, winking at Blaine, who was just glad to see him there.

Kurt stuck closely with Jeff and opted not to sit on the stage as he'd done previously. They were sitting at the bar having a drink when Blaine and Nick approached, both taking a seat next to their respective boyfriends.

"Oh, look who showed up tonight!" Nick teased Kurt good naturedly.

"Shut it, Duval, I was exhausted. It was an honest mistake." Kurt grinned sheepishly.

"Yeah, tell that to the psycho who flubbed half the songs we played last night until his Kurtie-kins called him back!" Nick said, outright laughing now.

"Screw you, Duval! At least I was here and not at home screwing my boyfriend while someone else covered my shift!" Blaine jabbed right back.

"Hey! No fair, I hadn't seen him in weeks!" Nick countered. The two of them continued to argue back and forth, trading barbs good naturedly as if Jeff and Kurt weren't anywhere near them, ignoring their significant others completely.

"Do you feel like they're talking about us like we're not here sometimes?" Kurt stage whispered to Jeff.

"I do…I don't think I like it." Jeff replied, with a gleam in his eye.

"I think we should teach them a lesson, don't you?" Kurt asked with a wicked raise of his eyebrows.

"What did you have in mind?"

"Follow me, and just go with it?" Kurt asked.

"You have that devious look on your face, I'm in!" Jeff laughed, eager to be led along as the two of them left the barstools unnoticed by their boyfriends who were still bickering like children.

"Ok, so all we have to do to get their attention back is pretend they're not here…and dance like we plan to have sex in a few minutes." Kurt laughed. Jeff grabbed him around the waist with one arm and draped the other over Kurt's shoulder and they danced…closely…and it was hot. It was so hot that other couples began to move away, giving them more room so they could watch. And watch they did, some of them cat calling, others just hoping not to drool enough that anyone would notice.

"So have they noticed yet?" Jeff asked, his back to Nick and Blaine.

"Hmmm, not yet, but give it a few seconds. I've seen that guy before….Davina, is it? He's about to say something to Blaine ….and there it is. They've noticed. Play it up if you want." Kurt snickered.

Jeff leaned in and ran both of his hands over Kurt's ass, grabbing softly and listening to Kurt inhale sharply, before laughing and nudging his nose into the soft spot behind Jeff's ear.

"Hold tight, Kurtie, here it comes…." Jeff laughed.

"The fuck, Pretty Boy?!" Nick boomed, gathering the attention of everyone around them.

"Who me? I was under the impression you boys had forgotten we were here. You were arguing right over us back there." Jeff said with such innocence that Nick couldn't even pretend to be upset.

"Jeff, I love you like my own brother, but you have 2 seconds to remove your dick from the vicinity of Kurt's pants before we are no longer bros, got it?" Blaine said more harshly than anyone had thought possible. He then grabbed Kurt's arm and tugged him away, tucking Kurt into his side protectively and guiding him off the dance floor. Kurt didn't know where they were going, but he followed along anyway, unsure now of what Blaine's problem was. It was a joke, but Blaine wasn't laughing. He wasn't even smiling…and not even remotely amused.

"Blaine…you're hurting my arm." Kurt said as Blaine continued to pull him through the bar and out a side door to a hallway Kurt had never seen. "Blaine!"

"Don't ever…ever…do that again, Kurt. Were you trying to make me jealous?" Blaine said, his voice low and quiet now. Kurt could barely hear him over the din of the music in the bar.

"Blaine, it was a joke…we were teasing you guys for basically acting like we weren't there! Take a joke!" Kurt growled back.

"A joke? A JOKE? Me watching another man grind his cock into your zipper with his hands on your ass is a joke to you?" Blaine said, his voice a bit louder than he wanted it to be. "It's….Kurt, it's not a…it's not funny." He said, nearly panting now from his agitated state. He walked away from Kurt and paced the hallway, his hands running through his hair. "I'm sorry…I just…Jesus, Kurt. The feeling…the absolute sickness that ran through my veins! Christ, I spent hours, days, weeks just trying to get you to let me touch you...kiss you on the cheek and THAT was supposed to be funny to me?" he finally wailed.

"Blaine…it's JEFF…your best friend, Jeff. There's no way we would-" Kurt began, but Blaine cut him off.

"No way you would, but you just DID! Kurt you were grinding on the dance floor with another man right in my face!"

"Oh my God, Blaine. I'm not discussing this with you until you calm down. Jeff is my friend, and he's like a brother to you, and there is no way either one of us had anything like that in mind for tonight or any night, so you just pull yourself together and then we'll talk!" Kurt yelled, his chest heaving now, tears streaming down his face in frustration and irritation.

"Do you understand that what I feel like I have with you is something I've never had before. It's something I never want to have to wish for again, because I want to be with you, Kurt. Just you. For a long, long time to come. What we have…what we share, is something I've grown used to and something I never want to live without. I don't think I could! Making love with you is like a drug, and without it I don't know what I'd be after having had it. I'd lose my mind, Kurt. Did I overreact? Maybe a little bit, but that's not something I'm prepared to ever tell you is going to be ok with me, Kurt!" Blaine said, the jealousy screaming through his words. "Jeff or no Jeff, you're the love of my life and I don't want you doing that with anyone but me….and maybe that's the problem, here? You haven't even done that with me…and there you are grinding on the dance floor with Jeff in front of people I have to see every night and making a total fool out of me! Jesus Christ, Kurt! Does this sound even remotely like a joke to you!" Blaine yelled now, and Kurt was stiff against the wall, almost afraid to move. This was a Blaine he wasn't familiar with…one he never wanted to see again.

"I understand that you're upset, Blaine, but it's ok….nothing happened." Kurt said quietly, trying to calm Blaine down.

"It's not fucking OK, Kurt!" Blaine exploded. Kurt winced, eyes clenching shut waiting for the hand that inevitably hit him in the face after an explosion like that from Jackson. He finally pulled himself together and looked Blaine in the eye.

Blaine had the good grace to look momentarily appalled that he'd made Kurt wince that way.

"YOU do NOT speak to me this way, Blaine Anderson. I don't know who you think you are, or where you get off telling me what I can and can't do, but this has gone on long enough…this 'conversation' about nothing. I'm going home now, and when you pull your head out of your ass, you can come and apologize for making such a huge deal out of nothing!" Kurt said angrily, throwing himself away from the wall he'd been leaning against. "I'll talk to you later." He said calmly, walking away down the hall and through the door they'd come through earlier.

Kurt sensed quite a few eyes on him as he made his way back through the bar, catching Jeff's eye and vigorously shaking his head when the blonde went to approach him. He made a beeline for the door and nearly knocked the bouncer out of the way in his haste. He stumbled home, probably looking drunk or high, but nobody he'd passed said a word to him, not even the cop on the corner near their building.

Stepping inside and climbing the stairs, he found Sebastian pulling his suitcases in from the hallway, looking worse for wear, certainly.

"Hummel." He said, barely looking up, simply acknowledging that he saw him there. Kurt wasn't even able to reply he was so choked up. All he wanted was to get inside and let all the tears fall. When Seb glanced over and saw him fumbling with the keys at the door and unable to locate the right one, he commented again. "Too drunk to open your own door this early? Must've been a fun night."

Kurt turned and looked at him, clearly not in a good mood and ready to break down.

"Kurt? Hey…wait. What's wrong? Holy hell man, you look….you alright?" Seb said, shoving his keys into Kurt's lock and opening the door for him.

"I'm…no. I'm not. I…he just…we had a disagreement and….and he…" Kurt stuttered out around the rapidly growing lump in his throat. Subconsciously rubbing at the place on his arm that Blaine had grabbed he lost focus and wasn't looking Seb in the eye.

"Kurt….who…did someone touch you?" Sebastian asked.

"He didn't mean it. I know he didn't. He was just upset…angry with me. I danced with Jeff at the Dive and…Seb I just want to go inside." Kurt said, lowering his gaze and stepping into his apartment. "I'm ok, physically. I'll talk to him tomorrow about it. Thanks…" Kurt said, nodding to the lock on the door where he'd fumbled so badly with his keys.

"Yeah….ok. You're alright?" Seb asked again. Kurt just nodded. He closed the door and finally sunk down the wooden panels and sobbed until his head hurt so badly he couldn't do anything more than take some Advil and lay down on his bed. It didn't even register with him that Sebastian had used his own set of keys to open his door when he wasn't able to do so on his own. Little did he know his night wasn't going to get any better.

A/N Thank you, my Christine, for always being willing to read for me, to be my critic and to tell me when something doesn't fit :) I appreciate it more than you know.
Welcome to all the newbies, because clearly someone's been sending me love. Lots of new readers lately, so if you sent them, much love to you! I try to reply to each and every review or pm, but if you are a guest, it won't allow me to. So, that being said, a couple of guests and a few people with their pm turned off have sent me some fabulous messages that made me giddy, and for that I am silly, stupidly grateful. Keep reading...there's some good stuff out there, guys! And as always, tell me what you think of the story if you want! Enjoy the weekend! xo K
