Note: Thank you guys for your reviews! I really appreciate each and everyone one of them, they help make me motivated to write more. This summer is a rough one for me, I'm taking classes, working and prepping for my LSAT. But, I promise to be more on top of this story! Without further a due….

"Excuse me?" Came a voice from behind the tall brunette as she strode towards the elevator. Not realizing the person was talking to her, she kept walking, only stopping when she reached the elevator doors.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" The voice spoke again, this time, causing Callie to turn around.

"Yes, can I help you?" Callie put on her brightest smile, and looked up to make eye contact. What she was met with was certainly the last thing she expected. Two deep blue eyes starring back at her, and she couldn't help but think she'd seen them before. There was something so familiar about the way they sparkled, like they were dancing to music that only they could hear. She'd seen those eyes before.

"I doubt you remember me," the man standing in front of her said gently. Callie nodded in agreement; she didn't remember him. But, she couldn't help but think that he looked awfully familiar. "But, I remember you…"

Callie started to fidget a little, conversations like this never ended well. In her mind, it could go one of two ways: she either fucked up his family members surgery, or she'd done something dumb in college. "Look, I don't mean to be rude, but I genuinely can't place you," she said softly, studying the man's face.

"Timothy Robbins," the blonde haired, blue-eyed man replied, extending his hand to her. "I'm Arizona's brother."

A breath Callie did not know she was holding slowly drifted from behind her lips as her memory of the man before her came crashing down. What was he doing here? What did he want from her? The last time she'd seen him… the first time she'd met him… the man had singlehandedly destroyed her world as she knew it. Arizona had recently told her that the sexual part of their relationship was over, that she'd met someone, an aspiring doctor like herself. But, like the naïve young adult she was, Callie had held out hope that despite Arizona's decision, she would come back to her. It wasn't until meeting with her brother that everything was really solidified for Callie. The young blonde boy had confirmed each and every one of her worst fears. Arizona was just confused; she didn't know what she wanted. He'd told her to move on, to let his sister go so she could grow into the woman she was destined to become. His words had not been harsh; his tone had not been full of hatred. Timothy had actually seemed to care about her own feelings as well, never once trying to condemn her for being a lesbian, or for defiling his sister. At that time, she had hated him; she'd wanted to scream how wrong and stupid he was from the rooftops. By the time she'd matured a little, gone through a few years of her undergrad, she'd come to realize that the words he spoke seemed more like protection for her than his sister. He'd never once said that what she and Arizona had was a figment of her imagination.

The sound of a throat clearing jarred her from her thoughts. Looking up to meet the man's eyes, Callie couldn't help the slight pinch she felt in her heart. What did he want this time?

"I did not mean to startle you," the blonde started to say, "I was very surprised to see you here, and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see how you've been." The man paused in his speech, waiting to see if the brunette was going to speak. When she didn't, he continued, "I know I must seem crazy, but I know my sister would love to hear that you're doing alright. Does she know you work here?"

At that, Callie finally found her voice, "Yes." She'd meant to say so much more. She wanted to tell him that he was wrong about Arizona. She wanted to tell him that his family was full of closed-minded assholes that completely destroyed the woman she loved. She wanted to scream her lover's pain from the rooftops. She wanted to tell him he had no right to even care if she was okay, or what his sister would want to hear. She wanted him to know how badly they'd crushed the petite blonde she'd fallen in love him, how fucked up her self-concept had been because of them. She wanted to rub it in his face that she'd seen his sister naked and in the throws of passion more times than her own husband ever had. But, she bit her tongue. This was not her battle to fight, nor did she even know if Arizona was ready to fight it. Christian was one thing, but her entire family was a whole new ballpark.

"Arizona doesn't know I'm here," Timothy told her, Callie's lack of words not stopping the dimpled man from continuing on. "Our parents came to visit. They wanted to see the hospital, spend some time badgering Arizona and Christian to get started on grandchildren." Callie's slight shudder at the sound of Arizona's husband's name did not go unnoticed by Timothy. That was all he needed to see to know that the dark haired woman standing before him still felt something for his sister. "You know," he started to say with a smile, "I personally don't think kids are for them… I mean, what with Arizona not being straight and all."

That got Callie's attention. She was immediately jarred from her thoughts about the blonde-haired goddess that was likely still lying naked in her bed, fast asleep. Did he just say that Arizona wasn't straight? How did he know? She looked up at Timothy, slight fear in her eyes at his revelation. Did he know about them?

"No," he said as a smile crept up on his lips. Dimples poked out gently on the sides of his face, ones that mirrored Arizona's and it warmed Callie's heart even just for a moment. "No, I didn't know for sure until just now." What was he, a mind reader?

Callie's mouth opened to speak, just as her pager went off. Glancing down at it, big numbers read across the screen 911 ER. Within seconds the room was full of the annoying beeping sound of multiple pagers going off around them.

"Bus explosion, 6 car pile up, buses are 5 minutes out. All hands on deck!" She heard an all too familiar voice yell as the doctors and nurses started bustling around in an attempt to prepare for the incoming trauma.

"Torres!"

Callie had yet to move from her spot. Here was Arizona's brother standing in front of her telling her he knew about them all because of her. Why couldn't she ever keep a straight face? She had no time to do any damage control.

"Torres! Get over here! You're shipping out with Shepherd and Grey, we need you at triage," that same familiar voice washed over her again, snapping her from her trance.

"Don't worry Callie, your secret is safe with me," Timothy told her gently as Callie turned to find herself face to face with the Chief. He looked horrible. His dark hair was disheveled, like he hadn't bothered to wash it in a few days. His dark blue eyes were slightly swollen from lack of sleep. The light in his eye was gone. It looked like someone had taken the life from him and thrown it to the curb. He looked like Callie had looked the last time Arizona ripped her heart out.

"Move Torres! We need to get you guys out there, the fire department said it's a bad one," Christian told her as he patted her on the back, almost shoving her towards the sliding doors to follow her coworkers. At least he didn't seem to know she was the other woman.

"Tim it's so good to see you," Christian started, shaking the mans hand quickly, "Arizona is going to be so surprised. Feel free to go find her office; it's on the fourth floor. I need to get down to the ER. Arizona isn't scheduled to be at work for a little while, but she's on call… so she may be in soon depending on what we've got coming in." He quickly rushed through his greeting acting as if everything were still fine between him and his wife, and then practically ran past him towards the elevators.

It had been twelve hours since Callie had run into Timothy outside the elevators. She'd reset a plethora of bones and performed two emergency surgeries by the time her shift had come to an end. Sitting on the couch in the residents lounge, she laid her head in her hands and sucked in a few sharp, deep breaths. How was she supposed to explain to Arizona how her brother knew not only that she was definitely not straight, but also that he knew of her infidelity? She hadn't had much time to think before her cellphone went off in her pocket. A text from Sunshine.

Where are you

There was no greeting, no smiley face at the end of the message, no punctuation. Callie automatically went cold at the words. Did she already know? Was she really that mad? Callie debated whether or not to even answer. She could ignore the text, pretend she never got it, or even that she hadn't read it until late that night. She could answer it, maybe she didn't know.

I'm still at the hospital.

Callie stood up from her spot and peeled off her scrubs, throwing them into her locker before slipping back on her street clothes. She had to face Arizona eventually. Hearing her phone chime again, she looked down. Well, she'd be doing that face off sooner rather than later apparently.

Meet me in my office.

The brunette shoved her phone back into her pocket and started her journey towards Arizona's office. As she walked, her mind was racing. How many people already knew? Was she going to lose her job? She was just a resident; Chief Weston could make her life absolute hell. Would he pull her off of ortho just to make her miserable? She only had a year and a half left of her residency, and the board had already spoken about fast tracking her to the opening attending position. How could she have been so stupid?

As she came to a stop outside of Arizona's closed door, she paused to collect herself. Everything that had happened was no ones fault but her own. She'd known that Arizona was a married woman, yet continued to be the other half of her 6 month long affair. She was certainly not the first woman that Arizona had slept with since marrying Christian: she was actually the third. Shaking her head, she knocked gently on the hardwood.

"Come in," she heard Arizona call loudly from the opposite side. Her voice cracked when she spoke, it sounded like she'd been crying. Taking a deep breath, Callie opened the door and slipped inside.

The room was dark, if not for the gentle glow of the lights outside looming through the window, she'd be lucky to see at all. Glancing around, she found Arizona sitting on the floor in the corner by her desk. Her head was buried in her knees, two arms wrapped tightly around herself. Callie moved quickly towards her, clearing the room within three strides. She dropped to her knees, her hand immediately coming to rest on her lovers back. She tickled her softly with her fingertips before using her other hand to gently pull Arizona's head from its position.

"Arizona," she started to say as her lover's puffy blue eyes came into view. Tear stains covered her already reddened cheeks. It looked as though she'd been crying for a while already. "What happened Sunshine?" Callie cooed softly as she started to wipe the tears from her eyes.

"I saw Timmy," Arizona said with a sob. She sniffled and wiped away snot that threatened to fall from her nose onto her sleeve. "He knows about us. He knows and he wouldn't even let me talk."

Callie sighed, having already known that Timothy knew about them. She sat back on her heels, pulled them out from underneath her and bent her knees in front of her. Putting an arm around Arizona's body, she pulled her close, "I know."

Arizona looked up, tears still threatening to fall, "He thinks I'm horrible for doing this to both of you. And you know what Callie? He's right."

"Why don't you tell me what happened?" Callie asked softly, placing a kiss on the side of her head.

Arizona leaned into Callie's touch, resting her body on the brunettes. Calming her tears, she began to explain how her brother had been waiting for her in her office when she'd finished a surgery on one of the crash victims. The little girl, Adrianna, was only 5 and a half, and, thankfully, the only child to be involved in the accident. The medics had rushed her through the doors nearly dead on the gurney, and Arizona had saved her. The surgery had lasted almost 6 hours and Arizona was exhausted, but it didn't matter because that little girl would live to breathe another day. She explained how she'd come up to her office to relax for a minute, to find Timmy sitting at her desk fiddling with her computer. Obviously elated, since she hadn't seen him in almost a year, Arizona explained how she ran to him, engulfed him in a hug and showered him with kisses. He'd reacted much the same, holding her just as tightly. She told of how they'd spent almost two hours catching up on the last year of their lives, and how happy she was just to see him again. He'd surprised the crap out of her by showing up.

"So, what happened?" Callie asked, looking down lovingly at the woman in her arms.

"He told me he saw you," Arizona began, "downstairs by the elevators. He said you were even more beautiful than he'd remembered, but he knew it was you from the sound of your laugh. He told me that even he'd remembered how it sounded after me making him listen to that voicemail over and over for months."

"What voicemail?"

"Callie… when I walked away from you all those years ago, I was a mess. Being without you was not something I wanted. But, I was so confused. I was so torn between being what I was raised to be, being the good daughter, and being myself that I was lost. Timmy was the only one who knew the truth. He watched me cry myself to sleep, drink away my sorrows, even…" Arizona cut herself off, knowing full well she was not prepared to delve that far back into her past, she didn't want to go there. Not even Callie knew about that… "I'd saved a few voicemails from you, in fact, I'm sure if I turned on my old phone, I'd still have them. The only time I smiled was when I'd listen to those. Timmy always wanted to listen too. He wanted to know you Callie, he wanted to understand."

"I know you were confused baby," Callie told her gently, drawing shapes with her fingertips on Arizona's shoulder, "I don't blame you anymore."

"Timmy was shocked to see you. He said he knew then, but wanted to give us the benefit of the doubt… he spent twenty minutes just yelling at me," Arizona tried to explain, but was quickly cut off by Callie.

"But, he didn't seem mad… and I didn't tell him anything. He said… he told me that your parents were here and that all they'd been doing was talking about grandchildren…" Callie cringed at the thought again. "I couldn't help but feel sick to my stomach at the thought of someone else's child growing inside of you. He smiled; he said he knew that you were gay. He didn't seem mad…"

"He does know… well, he knows that at the very least I was 'bisexual,'" Arizona confirmed with a nod. "He knew back then. He told me. At first he agreed with every move my parents made. He wanted what was best for me. He wanted to see me 'get better' but by the time he'd left that summer, everything was different. He told me not to let you go Callie, he told me to stand up for myself, he told me to stop being afraid. His eyes had opened and he tried to open mine. Seeing me love you like that… he understood."

Callie smiled in response. It felt good to know that somebody was on their side, even if it was a little too late. "So what's wrong then?"

"He basically laid it all out on a silver platter for me. He yelled and yelled about how wrong I was for doing this all to you again. He yelled at me for hurting you then, for hurting you now. He was so angry with me for hiding behind a fake marriage, for hurting Christian. I've never seen him so upset. He was so angry that someone raised around so much love could hurt another person the way I was hurting you. The way I was hurting Christian… he said that Christian looked like hell. He told me I wasn't being the good man in a storm that I was raised to be. He wouldn't even let me tell him that I'd left Christian. He wouldn't let me say anything… he just stormed out, and I don't even know where he went."

Callie couldn't help the smile that was playing on her lips. Someone in Arizona's family actually accepted that she was gay. Someone in her family knew that Callie was right for her. "Babe, have you called him? Have you tried to find him?"

Arizona shook her head, "No, I just texted you…"

Callie nodded and held Arizona tighter. She wanted to tell her it was all going to be okay, but she didn't want to lie. There was no telling what was going to happen. They'd gotten themselves in a horrible situation, and there wasn't much they could do to rectify it without hurting the people around them. Christian was already clearly a wreck, and Arizona hadn't even told him the whole truth. Timothy was upset with her for even getting involved with Christian, and appalled that she'd do this all over again to Callie. The second Arizona's parents find out… Callie didn't even want to think about that. And then there was them… two women who'd spent years missing out on what they'd both wanted. Things were a mess, and there was no clear way out.

"Say something Callie, please…" Arizona said, lifting her head to look Callie in the eye. "Tell me it'll be okay… I need to know we can make it out of this and be okay. I can't live my life like this anymore. I can't cry myself to sleep, I can't keep hurting the people I love, I can't keep hurting myself."

Callie leaned closer to her lover, and placed a hand on each of her cheeks, "I cannot promise you that everything will be okay Sunshine. I don't want to lie to you. I can't tell you that your family will accept this, I can't tell you that Christian will ever be able to walk these hospital halls with his head held high knowing that you left him for a woman… But I can tell you that I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. I will support you through it all; I will accept your mistakes and love you anyway. I will be your cheerleader, no matter what choices you make. I love you Arizona, and you love me. We can make our love be enough for us. I can do that for you."

Arizona smiled and closed the distance between them, placing her lips on those of the brunette in front of hers. Arizona's arms lifted and wrapped tightly around Callie's shoulders, deepening their kiss. Tears started to flow from both of their eyes as their mouths parted. Resting their foreheads together, they both took in a deep breath.

"Well, that was sweet," came a voice from the doorway. They'd been caught… again.
