Ch. 78
"Oh, Kurt! I can't wait to see it on her, darling, it's the most beautiful thing I've seen in ages!" Cris exclaimed when she got into the car and saw the dress. They'd stopped by the loft and grabbed the stunning, beaded masterpiece on their way to get Cris and Kurt grabbed his sewing box from his office. He was sure he wouldn't be lucky enough for it to fit perfectly…he'd have to make a few alterations. Still, it should be a pretty good fit. Maggie was a tiny little thing, after all.
"I hope she likes it…I mean, she doesn't have to wear it, really. I just…I can't see getting married in that…thing…hanging back there. I feel like throwing it out the window so she has no choice!" He laughed.
"No woman in her right mind would choose anything over this dress, Kurt. It's spectacular!" Cris complimented it again.
"I have to agree with Mom, Kurt. It's beautiful. You really outdid yourself on that one." Blaine smiled. "I don't know when you had the time to sew every one of those beads on."
"I um…there have been quite a few long, lonely nights at home without my favorite guy." Kurt said shyly from his seat in the car. Blaine glanced over to see him blushing.
"One more week, Love. One more week, and I promise, I'll be home with you every day. This has been the longest 5 weeks of my life."
"Do you regret taking the job, Dear?" Cris asked.
"I don't…and I do. I'm so glad for the opportunity to work with the kids. They're so great, so talented, and such a fun group…I'll miss them when my time's up. But I don't like being away from home…from Kurt. I know I made the decision in the spur of the moment, when you were angry with me, Kurt, and I didn't know what was really going on. But like I said, it has its ups and downs. I'll be more than thrilled to be home with everyone again." He smiled. "But, if nothing else, it's shown me how much I love working with kids and teaching them the beauty of music." Kurt reached over and took his hand and Blaine rested it on his thigh, his thumb rubbing over Kurt's knuckles. Cris smiled in the back seat knowing her son was in love, and she wholeheartedly approved of his choice.
Jeff wandered around the penthouse tidying things up. It was the second Saturday in a row that Nick had been up and out of the house early, before he even woke up. Jeff had considered going to the loft for a little bit, but David wasn't going in and Kurt's phone went right to voice mail. He knew Kurt had been there late the night before, though, so he was probably sleeping in.
When his phone rang, he smiled, hearing Nick's ringtone, hoping it was his boyfriend telling him he'd be home soon.
"Hey…"
"Hi baby…I was afraid I'd wake you." Nick said.
"Wake me? It's almost 1:00 in the afternoon, goof! I haven't slept that late in years." Jeff laughed.
"Shit, it is…the day's getting away from me. Look, can you do me a huge favor? I'm at the…um…at a job site, sort of, and I left some paperwork on my desk in the office. Can you just…there's a floor plan and I was hoping you could take a picture of it and send it to me from your phone? I don't want to waste the time coming all the way home to get it and bringing it back here."
"Sure…where is it…on the desk, you said?" Jeff asked, walking in to the office. "It's dark as hell in here, man!" He laughed. Jeff pushed the button on the wall that made the window blinds go up and waited until he could see what he was doing. Flipping the light on the desk on as well, he sat on the edge of Nick's desk chair and waited for Nick to tell him what he was looking for.
"Ok, you there?"
"Yep. What am I looking for? I don't see a floor plan anywhere."
"It's not a full size plan that you roll up in a tube, it's actually just a partial plan…should be in a folder on the left side of the desk marked 'SCFTA', actually." Nick said, sweating through his shirt. He was so pissed at himself for having to ask Jeff for this information. The very last thing he wanted was for Jeff to see anything at all related to this particular project, but coming home for it, then driving it back, then making his way back home would add almost another 2 hours onto his day, and he was ready to come home to his man now…not later. As long as he didn't delve too far into the file, he wouldn't have reason to question anything.
"There's shit all over this desk, and you're a slob." Jeff laughed. And there was…paper everywhere. Envelopes that had been ripped open, documents here and there, spread all over the place, statements with numbers and figures, manila file folders not in any order at all.
"Sorry, babe. I am, you're right. I've been busy, and tidying up the desk isn't high on my list of shit to get done I guess. Any luck?" Nick asked.
"Uh…yeah, I think. Here. Ok, there are a few…."
"I need the one that looks like a bunch of boxes…small rooms. I think it's labeled 'second floor' or something?" Nick said, nervous again.
"Got it. Ok, take a picture of it and send it to you? That's all?" Jeff asked.
"That's it." Nick said, glad he hadn't asked more questions. "Thanks, baby, I owe you one."
"And I'll be collecting on that as soon as you get home, Nicky." Jeff added in a low, sexy voice. "I suggest you don't dally around too long. I've been half hard all morning…"
"I…I'm …um…on my w-way." Nick replied, a little breathy and a lot turned on now. "See you soon, baby."
"Counting on it. Love you."
"Love you, too, Pretty Boy." Nick added, then disconnected the call. He shoved his palm over his crotch willing everything below his waist to calm down and took a deep breath. Time to get home to his man.
Jeff was about to stand and leave the room when something on the desk caught his attention. It looked like a bank statement, but because of the number at the bottom, he was sure it couldn't be. It couldn't be…right? Nobody had that kind of money in the bank. Nobody had that kind of money, period…right? He felt a little uneasy and maybe a little guilty as he sat back on the edge of the chair and picked up the paper laying there, but, he reminded himself, it was there. Nick had specifically asked him to come into this room and get something from the desk. It's not as if he rifled through the drawer, or this particular paper was in a folder or envelope that he'd snooped through. It was sitting right there…in plain view. He scanned it quickly, noting that it was, indeed, a bank statement. It showed transactions for the month, debits, credits, all the normal things, but what took his breath away was the staggering figure at the bottom next to the word "balance".
"Jesus. Fucking. Christ." Jeff breathed out, nearly choking on his own words. He blinked at the number thinking perhaps he was seeing things, but it didn't waver…didn't change. His heart was pounding and he wasn't sure why. It didn't change anything, right? It surely didn't change how he felt about Nick. Rich as Croesus or penniless as a homeless man, Jeff didn't care. He fell head over heels in love with Nick not knowing he even owned the jacket on his back. This didn't change anything at all…did it? He put the sheet of paper back down where he'd found it and backed out of the room watching it, as if he expected that piece of paper to stand up and run after him. Whether it changed things or not, it still made him uneasy.
It was no secret to him that Nick had money. Clearly he'd known that since his first visit to New York to see Blaine, when he ended up spending the whole time with Nick instead. The penthouse, the car, the way he bought $600 jeans as if it didn't matter…yeah, he had money. But this…this was beyond anything Jeff had ever imagined, and it shook him up quite a bit, right to his core. He was more focused than ever, now, on getting things done his way. He needed to talk to Cooper and make sure everything was set for the following weekend.
He went back to straightening up, picking up his clothes as well as Nick's and throwing them in the laundry. He avoided Nick's dress clothes and only grabbed his undies and sweats that he hung around the house in. He'd seen what happened once when Blaine had tossed one of Kurt's dress shirts in the washer, and it wasn't pretty. He went about changing the sheets on the bed and throwing the old ones in the washer when the clothes were done. He'd laughed at Nick the previous weekend when he went to wash something and found that Nick didn't have a clue how to operate the washer, and also had no laundry detergent present in the house. Apparently he had a cleaning service for that. Jeff wasn't amused, and he rolled his eyes and made a point of stopping to get some things he'd need at the store.
He put a few glasses in the sink and rinsed them before putting them in the dishwasher. He grabbed the newspaper and threw it in the recycling bin, folded the blanket he'd been snuggled up in last night before Nick had finally come home, then went back into the kitchen to clean up the island. He grabbed the steaks he'd been thawing in the fridge and set them on the counter. Nick would be home soon and he planned to cook for him tonight. He was checking the pantry for potatoes when Nick slid up behind him quietly and slipped his arms around Jeff's waist. The blonde jumped about a foot and hissed out "Jesus!" before spinning to be sure it was Nick behind him.
'You scared me!" He breathed out, giggling as Nick pulled him in tighter. Nick's arms were the best place to be and he never wanted to be anywhere else.
"Didn't mean to. Just wanted to touch you." Nick smiled.
"Mmmm…by all means, touch. Not enough of that this week." Jeff said softly. "Not complaining, per se, but I have to tell you, I'm not at all a fan of these evening appointments and all the paperwork you've been doing when you're finally home."
"Leaving my dad's business wasn't something I'd really planned on, I guess. Now that I'm focusing on the real estate end more than the lawyer's standpoint, and I'm not employing people to do half the work for me, it's taking up more time than I thought it would…I'm sorry, baby. I'll hire someone to do the little piddly things that are taking up my time and keeping me away from you if you want?" Nick offered.
"What? Just like that?" Jeff said, pulling back a step and looking incredulously at Nick.
"If it's what you want, babe. I don't like being away from you, either, and if I can change that, I will. I'll call Janice tomorrow and see if she knows of anyone—"
"No, no…I mean….I don't know what I mean." Jeff said, shaking his head, eyes downcast. He wasn't used to this. But this was Nick…he should at least be used to that by now.
"Have I said something wrong?" Nick questioned.
"No, baby. No, not at all, I just…force of habit, I guess. I was genuinely waiting to hear you say something like 'well, I have a job, Jeff, and you know I have to work, so I'm not sure why you're all bent up about it…' or something like that." Nick stared at him for a long time, not saying a word, until Jeff was uncomfortable.
"I would never…" Nick began, but he paused. "Did some asshole say that to you? You expressed a need or a desire to be with someone more and…and that's the reply you got?" He asked. Jeff just shrugged and averted his eyes. He went back to looking in the pantry for potatoes, embarrassed now that he'd even brought it up. "Honey…" Nick said, easing up behind him.
"Please forget I said that. I know that you're nothing at all like the men I've dated before, and I don't know why I even….what brought it to mind, I don't….I'm sorry." Jeff said, eyes on the kitchen counter and he moved around it in a flutter of unnecessary motion. "I didn't mean anything by it. I know better."
"I don't want you to ever be afraid to say something to me, Jeff. Ever. If it's on your mind, it's important. If it's something you want or need, it's important. If you want to talk to me about something…anything…and it's crossed your mind, no matter what time of the day or night, we'll talk about it, because it's important. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Nick asked, approaching him now and tilting his chin up with a sexy grin. "You're important to me, everything you do, say, think….don't ever think that's not the case. I love you. I'm sorry I was gone a few nights this week. I'll do my best to not let that happen again, alright?" Nick asked, his eyes full of love.
"I wasn't complaining…" Jeff whispered as Nick nuzzled under his chin. He loved that he had a few inches in height on his dark haired lover.
"You never do…which doesn't mean that you can't. Tell me what's on your mind, ok?"
"I will. I do…I just…I missed you I guess."
"Missed you, too. Can we um…can we hold off on dinner for a bit? Late lunch…not overly hungry yet…for food anyway." Nick said, giving Jeff a cheeky grin.
"You're such a cheeseball." Jeff laughed at him, setting the steaks back in the refrigerator.
"Maybe…possibly…ok, definitely. You bring out my inner cheeseball, what can I say?" He laughed. "I need to jump in the shower. I was at the th—"He began and nearly blurted out something he would have had to explain…and he wasn't ready to do that yet. "…at the um…that building I've been looking into buying and renovating and it's all dusty and I feel kinda gross. Care to wash my back?" He said, giving Jeff a huge grin, teeth all over and bug eyes.
"You're such a goof…come on. I'll wash your back." Jeff said, rolling his eyes. "But only if you'll wash mine?" He said, flirting shamelessly as he slowly pulled his shirt off over his head and sashayed down the hall toward their bedroom.
"Damn, boy…." Nick muttered from where he was rooted to the floor watching him prance away, hips swaying, the muscles in his back moving rhythmically as he walked, and a flirty glance cast over his shoulder. He had to close his eyes for a moment and breathe deeply to keep from running into the bedroom and attacking that body in a flash of blinding need. When he heard the water kick on in the shower, he forced his feet to move slowly and not break into a sprint toward the bedroom.
"I need an address, Coop!" Blaine nearly yelled into his phone. "I'm aware that you're in Atlantic City, but for God's sake, it's a big place, man!" Cooper gave the address of their hotel and told Blaine to hurry. It was already 3:00 and the Chapel closed at 5:00. After hauling ass to get there, Blaine didn't want to miss the whole thing.
"Ok, so we turn here, and it should be on the next….THERE!" Kurt yelled, when he spotted the building. They found the nearest parking structure and drove around and around until they located an empty spot.
"Lord, I'm so glad I had my hair done yesterday or I'd have to slap your brother silly!" Cris said as she climbed from the back seat. Having never heard her say such a thing, Kurt barked out a belly laugh and his eyes shown like diamonds when he did. They met at the trunk and Blaine grabbed his face and kissed him for all he was worth. There was nothing more beautiful to him than Kurt's genuinely happy smile.
"Have I told you today that I love you?" Blaine asked, his heart on his sleeve.
"Nope, but I think that counted?" Kurt smiled. "C'mon, let's get these things inside to them." He said, slamming the trunk and dragging Blaine with him. He slipped his arm through Cris' and they made their way down the block to the hotel.
"Oh, you're here! Oh thank goodness! Who knew we'd need all that paperwork, and I'm so glad you found it! You found it, right?" Maggie babbled as they came through the door.
"I found it, it was right where you said it would be, honey, don't worry." Blaine said, leaning in to kiss her cheek.
"Did you bring my dress, Blaine?" She asked, eyeing the garment bags thrown over his shoulder.
"Yeah, um…about that…."
"Oh God, tell me you brought my dress. I don't have anything here appropriate to…to…Kurt.... Jesus, Mary and Joseph. KURT! What….what IS that splendid…Oh God." She breathed out reverently.
"Nobody…and I mean, NOBODY, should ever get married in floral chintz, Maggie." Kurt smiled. He had the dress laid over his arm carefully and she was staring as if she was afraid to touch it.
"Kurt…."
"It would be my honor to have your wear this dress today, Mags. If you don't like it, that's another story, but if you do—"
"IF I do? IF? What's not to like. Sheezus, Kurt it's…it's magnificent. I'm breathless. But I can't…I mean, this isn't a big wedding ceremony. We're…basically we're eloping!" She countered.
"You are, but where does it say in the 'we're eloping rules' that the bride doesn't get to be stunning and steal the show?" He smiled. "If you don't want to wear it, that's ok, but it's yours if you'd like…our gift to you, if you will?" He said, casting a glance at Blaine, who smiled and bit his lip.
"I…I'd be honored to…to wear it. Thrilled. Oh my God, it's breathtaking. OH! Oh, don't let Cooper see! Hide it before he comes back!" She yelled, expecting him back to the room at any moment.
"Where'd he go anyway?" Blaine asked.
"He went to get you guys a room…two rooms…actually. One for Cris and one for you guys."
"I didn't even see him in the lobby. Must've passed him on the elevators."
"Cris would you help me get dressed and make sure my hair is ok?" Maggie asked.
"I'd be glad to. You boys keep these little ones occupied for a few?"
"Coop, stop pacing, they'll BE here. Kurt texted me and they're on their way. He said—"Blaine began, but broke off when the doors opened and Kurt and Cris came through with Maggie in tow. Cooper's breath whooshed out as if he'd been punched in the gut.
"Christ in heaven, look at her…" He breathed out heavily. "Where…that dress….holy…Blaine?" He said, reaching for his brother's arm to steady himself.
"Fantastic, eh? You can thank Kurt for the dress, although she's pretty damn hot IN the dress. You done good, bro." Blaine laughed, punching Cooper in the arm. He didn't even notice. He only had eyes for Maggie. His feet automatically took him to her and he grabbed both of her hands, his shaking madly.
"Mags, you are the hottest thing I've seen since that baked potato I scalded my tongue on last week. Holy shit…" Cooper said, grinning.
"You know, if you'd said something charming and heartfelt I would have doubted your sincerity." She laughed.
"Don't I know it?"he laughed. "But honestly, honey, you look…absolutely perfect…beautiful. My heart is beating so hard right now I'm afraid it's gonna rip right through this jacket in a minute and fall out."
"You're not having second thoughts, are you?" she asked, giving him the side eye.
"Absolutely 100% no. Not a chance. We'll walk out of here Mr. and Mrs. Cooper Anderson or not at all." He smiled.
"Good…'cause I'm kinda looking forward to that."
"The kids…you talked to them. They're ok with everything…you're sure?" Coop asked. This was the only thing that would keep him from doing what they came there to do.
"Absolutely. Mattie's about to come out of his skin he's so excited and Evee is just as happy, although not as transparent as her brother." She laughed. A quick glance showed the kids with Cris and the boys and they looked happy as could be.
"Ok, then. Fiancée, would you do me the honor?" Coop asked, presenting his arm.
"I'd love nothing more."
"This is nice…just being with you and not expecting someone to need the bathroom is nice." Jeff snickered under the warm stream of water falling on them.
"Always nice with you…but I can tell there's something on your mind, Love."
"I don't want you to think I'm upset about you working late a few nights. Lord knows it's a given…we both have a job, although apparently yours pays a helluva lot more than mine does…" Jeff laughed.
"It doesn't matter, Jeff. You can tell me right now you never want to work again a day in your life and I'm ok with that. I am…don't look at me like that." Nick smiled. "If you wanna stay home and eat bon bons and watch T.V. all day, I'm ok with it."
"I couldn't do that anymore than I could fly from the balcony, and you know it!" Jeff laughed out loud.
"I can tell you're not happy, though. Am I right? Is it me…this place? If you're not happy here, we'll move. Have I done something…said something to upset you?" Nick asked, concerned because he knew he's hit a nerve by the look on Jeff's face.
"I'm going to start putting applications in to get back to teaching. I miss teaching…I miss the kids. I know it doesn't pay that much, but—"
"Ok, wait. Where's this going? You know what? I think….let's get out of here. C'mon." Nick said, reaching to turn the water off and pulling Jeff out of the shower with him. Nick handed him a towel and tugged him out into the bedroom. "Sit, please. Talk to me. You've hinted things about money twice now. Is there something bothering you? Please be honest with me, Jeff."
"I'm not bothered…per se. I mean…Ok, you um…you asked me to send you the picture earlier from the office and…I wasn't snooping, I swear it. But you left a bank statement on the desk…." Jeff began, and Nick closed his eyes and hung his head.
"Ok…is that…is it a bad thing?" Nick almost laughed.
"It's not a bad thing, no. It's just…I'm not used to that. I didn't have any idea…I mean, that's…it's a LOT of money, Nicky. I just don't ever want you to think…" Jeff tried to say, but he was having trouble getting his thoughts to align and make sentences. He took a deep breath and sat back further on the bed. Then Nick did laugh…long and loud. Jeff looked at him as if he'd lost his mind. "Ok, what's funny?"
"Honestly? This whole conversation is a little weird for me. I've always been really careful not to be too upfront with people when I first meet them. Often times I don't even give my last name on purpose. I'm not rude, or standoffish, I'm just…careful. People tend to gravitate to you when you have money. Even when I started working at The Dive, I had to work hard to deflect questions. I didn't want anyone there to know who I was, and for a while it worked…some of them know, some don't and most of 'em don't care. Blaine had no idea…he was new. But…you didn't know, Jeff, and you liked me anyway. In fact, Blaine said something about you figuring maybe I had a hot dog cart or—"
"Shut up!" Jeff laughed loudly. "I'm gonna kick his ass!"
"I'm serious, Jeff. Part of falling in love with you was knowing you couldn't have cared less if I had money or not. You talked to me for hours, you told me so much about you and I told you everything I could about me. I fell head over heels in love with you because of you…because of your beautiful smile and your unbelievably kind heart and the way you talked about your students with such fervor. It even took me a few weeks to get you to make those sweet, kinky noises for me that drove me right over the edge and made me fall harder." He smirked, and Jeff slugged him in the arm. "Never in a million years did I think I'd have to convince you to KEEP liking me because of my bank balance, such as it is." Nick laughed again.
"Nicky…." Jeff said, shaking his head now. "I'll never stop loving you. Never. And it doesn't matter how much is in the bank today, tomorrow, or in 10 years. I'm going to love you. What bothers me is…I'm really, REALLY uptight about what people are going to think, and I KNOW…I know you're going to say it doesn't matter what people think or what they say, but honey…it does. To me…it matters a lot." Jeff said, now studying the carpet.
"I wish people knew you for what's in your heart. I wish they could see how you freaked out over a pair of jeans and insisted it was too much to spend on clothes. I wish they could see how you come in here and do laundry that you don't have to do. I wish…I wish I could just tell the world what a kind soul you are, what a magnificent lover and a stupendous friend. I can shout it from the rooftops, and I will if you want me to. But Love…no matter what I say or what people see with their own eyes, someone's always going to have something to say about us. We'll just have to get used to it." Nick smiled at him, then leaned over and kissed him on the mouth sweetly. Jeff pondered it all for a while, unsure what he wanted to say. He just didn't have the right words.
"Um…just curious. When you were in there, and you came across the bank statements…"
"Statement. Just one." Jeff stated flatly.
"Oh, well, then I guess I should get this little freak out over with in one fell swoop and inform you that I have accounts in four different banks, as well as real estate holdings, stocks, IRA's, a 401K and numerous—"
"Oh shit, please stop!" Jeff cried, holding his hands over his ears and speed walking around the room while muttering "lalalalalala" over and over loudly. Nick snickered, but it developed into an all-out laugh when Jeff gave him the evil eye.
"You ass, you're trying to make me crazy!" Jeff yelled, then dove on the bed and tackled him.
"Not crazy…I never want to make you crazy, Jeff…not like that anyway. I only want to make you happy, and whatever I have to do to accomplish that goal, that's what I'll do." Nick smiled, a genuine, heartfelt, happy smile.
"GAWD! Fine….make me happy then! Just make love to me and I'll be content for a little while!" Jeff huffed, rolling his eyes dramatically with a playful smirk as if what was coming was such a chore for him to bear.
Nick didn't need to be asked twice. He rolled Jeff under him and kissed him passionately, his lips soft and sweet, eager to take what Jeff had to offer.
"Just wanna love you…God you're so fucking beautiful…every part of you, every inch of these long, strong legs, every strand of this stunning, blonde hair, every soft inch of skin on this body…such a sharp, witty mind….so beautiful…." Nick muttered as he rained kisses all over Jeff, head to toe, grinding their hips together. Jeff was a vibrating puddle of want and need and he began to mutter indiscernible words and phrases, his mind turned to gravy in a heartbeat by Nick's mouth.
"Please…Oh God, please….." He begged when Nick mouthed up the inside of his thigh.
"Tell me what you want, Pretty Boy…."
"Want…"
"Mmhmmm….what…."
"Want you….Nicky….please…"
"What do you want, Jeff?"
"F-fingers…please….fingers in me…." He pleaded. "Open me…wanna slide down on your fingers…need you inside me…please…" He whined.
"God, yes!" Nick growled, as he popped the cap on the tube sitting on the nightstand. "Little cold, baby…" He warned, rubbing circles around Jeff's sensitive, tight pucker, then softly pushing one finger inside. Jeff's back arching from the bed was a good sign, and barely a slight grimace when he added another finger a short time later was a better sign. At three, Jeff was a panting, writhing mess.
"Ohhh….God, Nicky, you're teasing….please!"
"Patience, Love…."
"Fuck patience!" Jeff laughed and pulled Nick down to kiss him, wiggling so his cock brushed Nick's again. "On second thought, fuck Jeff!" He laughed.
"As you wish, then." Nick said, his tone soft and firm all at once. He pushed inside slowly, waiting for any word from Jeff to slow down, to stop, but didn't get it. When he'd pushed all the way inside he stilled, waiting for Jeff to give him some sign that it was ok to move, that he was comfortable. Finally…oh God, finally…
"Please me, Nicky….make me scream." Jeff whispered in his ear, and he was off like a shot.
"Damn it….oh shit, Jeff…not gonna last long if you….you can't just…you can't just SAY that…" Nick panted, huffing as he thrust in and out, holding Jeff's wrists to the bed.
"Yet… I did…" Jeff grinned. "You love it. C'mon, Nicky…fuck me. Take me…make 'em hear me downstairs. Who's in charge, here, baby?" Jeff teased. He knew it made Nick insane when he talked to him that way. Nick was crazed, pumping into him like his very life depended on it. He wanted nothing more than to make Jeff happy…satisfied…crazy with want and need. He needed him to be happy. He wanted to make Jeff a little crazy as well, though.
"Tell me…tell me it's ours…it's our money, Jeff. Say it." He growled.
"Yours….just yours…"
"Say it…or I'm stopping. It's…God damn Jeff…so tight….it's ours. OUR money, baby."
"Don't want your….your money…"
"SAY IT…" Nick said, slowing his pace to a crawl. Jeff mewled.
"Nicky…"
"Tell me, Jeff…."
"Fine….I'll….oh please…." Jeff whined when Nick rolled his hips down. "I'll tell you." He said, taking a deep breath. The pace was slow now, Nick barely moving in and out, staring into Jeff's eyes. "It's your money, you worked hard for it, you earned it, you're so fucking smart and you clearly invested well…I know you want to share things with me, and I'll let you…to a point. But I love you, Nicholas Duval…I love you without a dime, without a single thing, without this penthouse, without the car….I love you with everything I have to offer you and even if you have nothing at all. I won't take your money, but I'll take the generous heart you're offering any day. Now please, for the love of God, finish it….make me come, Nicky." Jeff pleaded.
Nick was stunned, and without words. His body was moving out of habit…keeping the slow pace he'd lagged to when Jeff began speaking and he was absolutely drowning in the man's eyes below him. Nick was so in love with him…so in love.
"Stubborn brat…" he grinned, shaking his head. He pulled back and slammed into Jeff hard, causing him to whine, but the challenge was still there in his eyes. He picked up his pace and thrust in long and hard, again and again, until Jeff was unable to speak coherently.
"S-so quiet now…."
"Please…need to touch…." Jeff begged. Nick held his wrist tighter to the bed.
"Come….do it Jeff. Come on my cock alone. You can do it…I've seen you do it." Nick teased.
"Nicky….oh God…" Jeff whined, back arching. "Harder!"
"Mmmmm….yes, there's my man."
"Harder Nicky!" He begged again. Nick was wild now, the sight of Jeff falling apart beneath him only spurring him on. "C'mon, baby…."
Jeff finally arched again and shrieked Nick's name so loudly it shook Nick to his core. White hot lights shot off behind Jeff's eyes and he came again and again over his chest and his belly. Nick was relentless now, his own goal so close. Jeff's head was lolling side to side and he was muttering nonsensical little phrases and words that made Nick grin as he felt everything springing forward inside him. With one last, harsh shove he came hot and hard inside Jeff and growled out around it. His limbs were shaking and his body felt loose as he collapsed on Jeff's chest, breath heaving and chest pounding.
"Christ, I love you, you brat." He panted out, so exhausted he could barely see straight.
"Love you more…." Jeff whispered in his ear.
"So, by the power vested in me by the State of New Jersey, I now pronounce you husband and wife, and you may kiss your beautiful bride, Mr. Anderson."
"You're damn right I can!" Cooper laughed before leaning in and kissing Maggie just slightly longer than PG-13 would allow. The cheers around them brought them back to the here and now, and they were rushed by the kids, Mattie throwing his arms around Coop's legs with a huge grin and a hug. Cooper scooped him up and held him, giving him a giant hug and Mattie clung to his neck like he'd never let go.
They posed for a few photos that the chapel offered as part of their package, but then Kurt took about a zillion more, one on his phone to tweet a picture of Maggie's dress and he tagged David in it. He hoped the man didn't mind that he'd allowed Mags to wear the dress today, but if he did, it was too late to worry about it.
CoopAnderson and MaggieWaggie tied the knot. Stunning bride and Lucky groom! Congrats and we love you! #Hummeloriginaldesign
"You know, we didn't get a photo of us together last week, and I absolutely adore this suit." Blaine said, wiggling his eyebrows at Kurt and bouncing on his toes with a big grin.
"We can do that if you want." Kurt smiled. "Cris, would you mind?" He said, handing her his phone.
"Yay! But first—"
"If you say 'let me take a selfie' I'll step on your phone until it's dust, fair warning." Kurt deadpanned. "Just no."
Blaine pouted, but took the selfie of them anyway, then smiled for Cris who snapped a few photos on Kurt's phone, then her own.
"My handsome boys!" She remarked. "Ok, ok! All of you stand together please. I want a picture of my whole family now!" She said excitedly. Kurt moved to take his phone from her and then said he'd take the family photo as well if she wanted and she gave him a stern look and grabbed her phone to her chest. "Make no mistake, young man, you'll be in the photo as you are part of this family now, and that's that." She told him. Kurt was a little flustered by her tone, not thinking that he was supposed to be in the photo at all.
"O…ok. Alright, thank you…" He replied, his tone a bit softer than normal. She smiled at him and kissed his cheek, then whispered in his ear.
"It's only a matter of time, though, isn't it?" which made him blush and bite his bottom lip.
"A man can always hope, right?" He grinned and hugged her.
"You're the perfect match for my Blaine, Kurt. I've never seen him this happy…ever. Not in all his years. I have you to thank for that." Cris said lovingly, her eyes bright.
"He makes me happy every day, Cris. I think he's stuck with me as long as he'll have me." Kurt laughed and Cris slung her arm around his waist squeezing him to her small frame and holding on tightly.
A/N Hope you're all well! :) Summer's almost over, and my kids all go back to school next Thursday, praise the Lord, so that gives me...wait...let me calculate...37 minutes of free time during the day, alone! whooohoooo! 3 kids, 3 schools, 3 drop off times, 3 pick up times and no time in between for mom. Sigh...such is life!
My Christine is going thru a ton of stuff now in her RL, just super busy, and wasn't able to beta this, so thanks again to Suzanne who stepped in to help out and did a fine job of it! :) Thanks lady!
What are you guys reading / following? I'm kinda stuck on Nellie12 / The Nanny. Been following this new one as well, new author, so send her some love! s/10554431/1/Braced-for-Impact and if ff dot net screws that up, it's called Braced for Impact by BlaineyDays31. Check it out!
OH! and for those of you who called me out for not including Seb and Hunter in the chapter with the fashion show (76), I had alternate plans for them. But so many of you wanted them there that I went back and included them, albeit briefly, but they are now included :)
If you're so inclined, let me know your thoughts on the chapter, ya know? Hugs!
