Ok, I'm sorry if I got your hopes up. No, this is clearly not a new chapter….I'm not that quick. I wish I was, but no….
Actually, this is just a special note from me to you guys…to all of you, the ones who have been around since day one, and the newbies who just posted as "following" this morning. It just dawned on me that today is a special day, and I snickered to think that I posted this, just after midnight, which made it actually posted on January, 10, 2015….exactly two years from the start of this crazy journey, and this last chapter, oddly, exactly 10,000 words. Two years ago today I finally got over my "stage fright" and said "you know what? Someone might want to share this with me…we'll see what happens…" and I posted 12 chapters at the same time of Crowded House to see if it would go anywhere.
How do you thank a group of people who have become such a part of you? Maybe by sharing something that's pretty important to you? This story, it's like my fourth child. It's a huge part of my life and it takes up a bunch of my waking thoughts…and part of my sleeping ones as well. I have enjoyed writing it and sharing it with you guys so much, and in return, you've sent me kudos, encouragement, well wishes, ideas, friend requests and hugs when I needed them. I've become friends with so many of you through the Glee fandom, and I can't thank you enough for sticking around for Crowded House no matter how bad the "real thing" got through the seasons.
I know there are a lot of authors in our fandom…in a lot of fandoms… but I truly and honestly believe I have the very best followers and readers. I hear other authors complaining sometimes about mean reviews and people just being awful to them if they didn't like what they wrote. Well, I can honestly say, no matter what I throw out, you guys have stood by me, worked through it with me and held my hand…and we've been through some rough scenes in this story, believe me, I know. You guys…you all are pretty great, and I want to say how much I appreciate that you allow me to live in this world with you, and that you put up with me when I get wordy and maybe don't cover your favorite OTP as much as you'd like. Thanks for sticking with me through all that.
So, all that being said, I wanted to say thank you. Thank you SO MUCH for making Crowded House, as well as my other word salad, part of your "entertainment" and letting us into your world. Thanks for living in mine and giving me a shot at something I really, really love doing….writing. I'm so very appreciative of each and every one of you who have read and lived it along with me.
A special thanks to the girls who have edited for me over the months….I couldn't have done it without you!
