[Konoha]
"Excellent job, because of you two our alliance with Sunagakure has become stronger. You saved the Kazekage and prevented the Ichibi from being taken by the Akatsuki, you also took out members of the Akatsuki." Tsunade was pleased with their success.
Naruto and Kushina are standing in the Hokage's office giving their report of their mission, they just returned to Konoha a little over 10 minutes ago. Truthfully they could've came back yesterday, however Gaara insisted that they stay in Suna to rest for one night, also Chiyo wanted Kushina to stay a little longer so they agreed to spend one night there. Naruto spent some time catching up with Gaara, aside from that something interesting took place between Naruto, Kushina, Gaara and Shukaku that involved the Uzumaki couple receiving a gift from Shukaku itself from saving it. According to Gaara and Kurama, the act was very out of character for the sand tanuki. Even so, the couple happily accepted the gift.
"Your praise is much appreciated, by the way we brought back one of the Akatsuki members alive. I have him sealed away with his chakra already sealed." Naruto unsealed Deidara, the long-haired blond man appeared on the ground still unconscious.
Tsunade nodded and signaled for two of her Anbu to take Deidara away, transporting him straight to the T&I department for interrogation. "Hopefully he knows something useful."
"Somehow I doubt he will, by the way can you send away your Anbu? We have something important we want to discuss with you, this isn't meant for everyone's ears." Kushina asked the Senju woman.
Tsunade did just that, once she signaled for her Anbu protection team to leave the room, the moment they were gone she activated a silencing seal designed to prevent any sounds inside the office, being heard from anyone outside of it.
"Alright, what is it?" She questioned.
"Silencing seal huh? Good call, we have two things to discuss, first is about information we have on Orochimaru. After I defeated Sasori, he told me he had a spy under Orochimaru working for him that he's supposed to meet in 10 days at the Tenchi Bridge, it's 9 days now." Kushina answered.
The Godaime Hokage certainly hadn't been expecting information on her former teammate so soon. "I see, do you think he was telling the truth?"
Kushina nodded. "Yeah, he said his spy is Kabuto and I do know for a fact that Sasori didn't like Orochimaru for betraying the Akatsuki. Having a spy under Orochimaru makes sense in his case, it's just he was being played like a fool, Kabuto would kill himself before betraying that snake."
"So I'm assuming that you want me to allow you two to take Sasori's place in this meeting instead for a reason?" Tsunade looked at Naruto, she knew this had to be more for him than Kushina's sake.
Naruto nodded. "I know it's a trap, but this could be our best chance at gaining any information on Sasuke. There's also the chance of capturing or killing Kabuto or even Orochimaru if he's there."
Tsunade didn't like the idea of this meeting without having any more information to go off of, although she can't deny Naruto's words on the opportunities this meeting could bring. Plus seeing the results of this S-Rank mission, the Slug Sannin doesn't really have a legitimate reason to deny this request, this could be the perfect opportunity to take down her former teammate for good.
"Very well, 8 days from now both of you will set out to Tenchi Bridge. Hopefully this meeting works out completely in our favor, now what's the second thing you wanted to talk about?" Tsunade wondered.
Kushina summoned to her hands two liquid-filled containers with a pair of Sharingan eyes in each container.
"A-Are those…?" Tsunade trailed.
The red-haired woman smiled. "Yep, these are Sharingan eyes."
"Trust me Baachan, I was shocked too when she showed them to me." Naruto had been a bit freaked out by the eyes when Kushina first showed them to him back in Suna inside the room they spent the night in.
"How did you even come across them?" Tsunade wondered curiously.
"Sasori had two of his human puppets using them as eyes, Kurama noticed them during my battle." Kushina said.
"Well I can't say they won't be useful to have to Konoha's military power, although I'm not sure exactly what can we do with them, they'll be more of a hindrance to nearly all Konoha shinobi due to how chakra taxing it will be to wield just one Sharingan eye. Kakashi is a prime example of what it's like to be a non-Uchiha with a Sharingan." Tsunade voiced.
"Already way ahead of you Tsuna-chan, I want you to transplant these Sharingan sets into mine and Naruto's eyes." Kushina grinned.
The Godaime Hokage's eyes widened in shock, she certainly hadn't been expecting to hear this. "Umm not that I have any particular issue with doing so but why if I may ask?"
"The fake leader of the Akatsuki wields the Rinnegan, not that we can't handle him but it's a good chance if he has the Rinnegan then it's likely more enemies in the future may have it as well. At least that's what Kurama thinks." Kushina explained.
"And the best way to fight off a Rinnegan user is with another wielder of the Rinnegan?" Tsunade figured.
Naruto and Kushina nodded in agreement.
Tsunade sighed. "Fine, we'll start the operation tomorrow in the morning at the hospital. This must be kept a secret until you two are fully adjusted to your new eyes. The last thing I need is for Danzo and the elders to start causing trouble for Naruto, they are already curious and wary of your improvements now that you're back, Naruto."
"Let them cause all the trouble they want, all they'll end up doing is setting themselves up for failure. Theo's old fools will remember that they need me a lot more than I'll ever need them." Naruto shrugged.
"Alright, well if that's all then you guys are free to go." Tsunade dismissed them.
"Oh! Tsuna-chan, come over later on for dinner with Shizune. It'll be nice for the four of us to share a nice dinner together, there are plenty of rooms available for you and Shizune to sleep in if you feel like staying." Kushina said to her long-time friend who is essentially family to her.
"Oh so you're cooking? Man, it's been a long time since I last had your delicious cooking. Me and Shizune will definitely be there and you better have me some sake, Kushina-chan!" Tsunade grinned.
Kushina and Naruto gave her a deadpan expression in response. "At this point Baachan, do you even have to ask? We'll have plenty of sake, actually there's this bottle I got from the toads that I wanted you to try. I saved it just so me and you can crack it open together." Naruto replied.
"Aww look at you wanting to drink new alcohol with me?" Tsunade teased. "I remember the day I first got you to drink, your reaction to the taste was priceless."
"I was 15 and inexperienced, what the hell did you expect? I thought you were crazy for loving it as much as you do." Naruto retorted while crossing his arms.
"And now? Still think I'm crazy?" Tsunade asked.
Naruto smirked. "Oh you're still crazy as hell, it's just I've come to understand your appreciation for sake over time, it can lead to very enjoyable experiences." He gazed over at his wife with a certain predatory look in his eyes.
A look that Kushina recognized all too well, she blushed profusely. "Naruto! Not in front of Tsunade!" Damn it, he knows how horny she gets when he looks at her like that! Damn him!
[Two Days Later, Uzumaki Compound Training Grounds]
The Uzumaki couple were currently standing across from one another at the main training ground of their compound, Kushina is wearing yellow pants that stopped mid-calf, a red fitted, crop cami top with her usual black flip-flops. Naruto has on a black, sleeveless tank top, burnt orange shorts, black slide sandals and his necklace he won from his bet with Tsunade a few years ago. Their operation for their eye transplants were successful, though Tsunade did make them stay in the hospital for the rest of the day after the operation was over much to Naruto's displeasure. She discharged the couple earlier this morning once she gave their new eyes one last check up.
"Ready to test out our new eyes?" Naruto asked his wife.
Kushina smiled. "Uh huh, let's do it."
"Alright, now just like at the hospital…" The blond trailed off his words.
Naruto and Kushina closed their eyes for a second, directing their chakra to them, then when the couple opened their eyes the Sharingan had taken place.
Yep, the Uzumaki couple can turn their Sharingan on and off, add the fact that they somehow also kept their own original eye color instead of taking on the onyx-colored eyes of the Uchiha Clan.
"Well this is definitely going to take some getting used to." Naruto was referring to the ability to see chakra, he can clearly see his wife's chakra.
"Hmm it shouldn't be too difficult, at least our eyes are already fully matured. I think we should get in a spar or two before trying out the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan." Kushina suggested.
As Kurama said, the fox took care of adjusting their eyes so that their Mangekyo Sharingan was unlocked if it hadn't been done so already. This included evolving their eyes to the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan state as well, now it's just up to the couple to get used to the powers of their new eyes.
"Agreed, ready?" Naruto asked.
His answer was an incoming roundhouse kick to the temple that he blocked with his forearm. "I'll take that as a yes." Naruto smirked as he and Kushina engaged in a quick bout of pure taijutsu.
Kushina parried her sexy husband's chakra enhanced punch with one of her own, causing a shockwave to echo from their clash as well as the ground under their feet to crater itself. The red-haired Uzumaki disappeared in a burst of speed, her husband doing the same as they clashed. Each clash resulted in red electricity and small shockwaves forming, some causing damage to the battlefield. During their spar, Kushina noted the difference in Naruto's movements, he's fighting her with a fluidity he's never shown until now. Naruto saw how his movements were being predicted as if his wife can see what he's about to do a second prior to him actually doing it. Funny thing is he's also predicting her movements, his Sharingan is literally showing him everything in perfect motion. What did go unsaid between the couple is how the Sharingan is actually dyeing their vision red while active.
Back flipping away from their exchange, Kushina narrowed her eyes at the blond Uzumaki. "Genjutsu: Sharingan." She announced.
Naruto's eyes widened briefly seeing her body fade away, instead he was greeted with the sight of a group of naked elderly women, all who were making their way to him. He quickly broke the genjutsu before it could go on any further, when he came out of it, he heard the sound of Kushina's laughter.
"Oi! What the hell?!" He glared at his laughing wife.
Kushina, who was laughing her ass off, said. "S-Sorry Naru-koi, but it was either that or naked men."
"Why either one at all?" Naruto sweatdropped.
"Because they have the most effectiveness in throwing you off in my opinion, plus it was meant to be funny, not a serious genjutsu." Kushina grinned.
Naruto rolled his eyes. "That wasn't funny, it was fucking gross! What's worse is that I don't think I'll be able to burn the damn image away thanks to the Sharingan." He grumbled.
"Awww don't be upset, I'll make sure to look extra sexy later on for you just so you can replace the image with yours truly." Kushina winked at him.
"Well, aren't you an angel?" Naruto smirked a bit.
"Nope, I'm your sexy crimson devilish queen who you love so much." She blew him a kiss.
Her eyes widened when she felt him hug her from behind, the Naruto in front of her turned into rose petals that were carried away by the passing wind. "And don't you ever forget it." Naruto said as he leaned his head over her shoulder to kiss her cheek.
Kushina lightly blushed and smiled at his affectionate gesture. "Great use of genjutsu Naruto-kun, when did you put me in it?"
"When I broke out of yours and made eye contact with you, so before we started talking." The blond 18 year old answered.
"Hmmm you were very subtle, especially if I didn't even notice myself being placed under one." Kushina turned around in his arms and gazed up at her husband.
"Well I do have one hell of an amazing teacher to thank for that, it's because of her that I'm as awesome as I am today. I don't think I ever showed her enough of my appreciation for all that she's done for me." Naruto leaned his forehead against Kushina's.
"Oh really? Hmmm well why not shower her with some of that appreciation you're talking about right now?" Kushina wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Then I guess our training session will have to be continued at a different time." As soon as those words left his mouth, Naruto locked his lips with his red-haired wife's, kissing her with much passion.
Kushina eagerly returned his kiss, she really loved having a man who is in love with her as much as Naruto is and outwardly shows it to her everyday. It amazes her to this day how they are a match made in heaven, the perfect match for each other.
Wanting to take this further, Kushina used Hirashin to teleport them to their bedroom, she wanted her Naruto time now, meaning she wants to enjoy the rest of the day having wild sex with her blond husband without a care in the world.
[Time-Skip 7 Days Later, Tenchi Bridge]
"Kushina-chan…"Naruto said.
"Yeah…" Kushina replied.
"What the hell happened to Kabuto?!" Naruto exclaimed in shock.
He wasn't the only one shocked, Kushina and him were hiding in a certain area in the forest to the bridge behind a small higher level of the ground, several trees gave them cover. Since she's the one who fought Sasori, Kushina created a super-charged shadow clone transformed into Sasori, that's playing the role of impersonating the puppeteer.
"I..ummm…I'm not sure, my spy hasn't reported to me anything about this since they haven't been focused on Orochimaru as of recently. I'm assuming whatever the fuck happened to Kabuto is a very recent change by some form of experimentation. I never expected him to take his obsession with Orochimaru to such extremes." Kushina said in a surprised tone.
"I try not to be too judgemental based off appearance alone but…he looks fucking creepy." Naruto gazed at their target with disgust.
"Tell me about it." Kushina agreed wholeheartedly.
On the Tenchi Bridge aside from Kushina's clone henged as Sasori in his Hiruko puppet, there standing across from it is one Kabuto Yakushi. Instead of his former human, fair skin, his skin is now scaly and white. His eyes are now yellow with slitted pupils, around his eyes are purple markings eerily similar to Orochimaru characteristic markings. There seems to be a long white snake slithering under him like a tail, from what the couple could tell it seems to be either wrapped around or attached to his waist. His face overall looks the same, he's wearing a maroon-colored cloak with a hood designed to resemble a serpent's head with white, red and yellow markings resembling eyes. Both Uzumakis can sense that not only is Kabuto's chakra a lot stronger, they can sense a lot of Orochimaru chakra mixed in along with some Sage chakra. Hell, sensing deep enough they can feel part of Orochimaru's soul itself integrated with Kabuto's being.
Just what the hell did he do to himself?
Kabuto had just finished revealing himself to the Sasori clone. "It's been five years, hasn't it?"
The clone kept its expression the same, not commenting on Kabuto's appearance at this moment. "Were you followed…?" Sasori questioned.
Kabuto turned around to stare at the path he came from before turning back to face Sasori. "We're okay."
"You've changed quite a bit since I last saw you, what caused it?" Sasori questioned.
"Let's just say I needed a way to gain more power." Kabuto left it at that.
"Fine, how are you?" Sasori asked.
"I've still got the strange sensation from when I remembered who I was after your jutsu broke…I still feel heavy-headed." Kabuto shook his head.
"I've got some questions for you." Sasori told him.
"I don't have much time, so please keep it short. I risked my life to get here without Orochimaru finding out." Kabuto replied.
"I want information on the location of his hideout and Uchiha Sasuke." Sasori said.
Kabuto turned his gaze from Sasori to face a different direction. "There are several hideouts. We move to a different hideout each week so as to not get discovered. Of course there are hideouts, not just in the Village Hidden in the Sound, but in other lands as well. Spies for Orochimaru infiltrate and act as informers, but there are all sorts of means of transport, so they're not easily tracked…"
"Where is it now?" Sasori questioned.
"We're now in a hideout on a small island on a lake to the north, we'll be moving again in three days, Sasuke Uchiha is there as well." Kabuto answered, the wind started picking up, he turned back to look at Sasori. "By the way…"
Kabuto trailed off as his eyes widened, he quickly turned around to look to the end of the bridge he came from where a sound was being made. He saw it was a brown rabbit snooping around in the bushes. "Oh it's just a wild rabbit…"
In the distance on higher ground, hiding behind a tree that's being hidden by a few other trees is none other than Orochimaru. One of his snakes was slithering on the ground with a rabbit in its mouth, he gleefully smirked down at Kabuto and Sasori. Soon he took a step forward then started walking down the path leading down to the bridge.
"By the way, about what you ordered me to do Sasori-sama, even in his reincarnation Orochimaru uses a jutsu to apply a protector to the cellular specimens from his discarded body. And therefore I was unable to analyze the cellular data, now please hand over the item in question immediately. I can't be around here any longer, if it's discovered that I'm here with you like this…I'll be killed." Kabuto held out his right hand.
Over by the Uzumaki couple, Kushina spoke to her husband. "Naruto…"
Naruto nodded. "Yeah I know…I sensed him long before the conversation even started. It makes sense that he's here too if Kabuto is."
Back on the bridge, the clone of Sasori stated to Kabuto. "You're a liability." Then quickly whipped out a kunai preparing to strike Kabuto.
Kabuto gasped in surprise, he was about to move until he heard Orochimaru's voice.
"That conversation sounds interesting, would you guys let me join in as well?" Orochimaru appeared on the side of Kabuto with a snake around his waist. The Sasori clone stopped its movements seeing Orochimaru, it still had to play its role until the original decided to act.
Orochimaru's snake was about to capture Kabuto into a tight hold until Kabuto quickly jumped out of the way and landed next to Sasori. "If you hadn't pulled out a kunai knife, I wouldn't have been able to get away before I noticed."
The Sasori clone didn't believe a single word coming out of Kabuto's mouth, unknown to the new snake face the clone can sense Kabuto's negative intent towards it.
Orochimaru's snake summon disappeared. "That outfit…sure takes me back, Sasori." Orochimaru said.
"So you followed Kabuto after all." Sasori voiced.
"Oh… I just thought I'd thank you, this kid you sent to me has come in very handy. The number of human subjects necessary for the development of one new jutsu is over a hundred, thanks to this kid's medical ninjutsu I've been able to reuse test subjects several times. There's been a great shortage of them you see…" Orochimaru replied with his usual grin.
Sasori was waiting for the moment Kabuto struck, intending to allow Kabuto to take out the fake Hiruko. The moment arrived when Kabuto formed a chakra scalpel using his right hand, then turned around to swipe at Sasori. Soon the the fake puppet was struck, the clone saw Kabuto's smirking expression, it quickly jumped out of the useless puppet.
Orochimaru performed a jutsu in an attempt to capture the clone. "Multiple Striking Shadow Snakes!"
Multiple snakes were sent out of Orochimaru's right arm, the clone effortlessly substituted itself just as a snake was about to bite it. Said clone landed back on the bridge away from both Orochimaru and Kabuto.
"Hmmm so a substitution?" Orochimaru noted.
"Lord Orochimaru, is this Sasori's real body?" Kabuto asked.
"Yes it is…Kabuto, you didn't know his real face even though you were his subordinate?" Orochimaru wondered.
"He was always a broody guy who always stayed hidden inside his puppets, after all." Kabuto responded.
"Kabuto…you dare betray me?" The Sasori clone stayed in character.
"Orochimaru-sama broke that jutsu you placed me under ages ago." Kabuto smirked.
"Tell me, did that traitorous snake place you under one of his jutsu instead?" Sasori grunted in annoyance.
"No…that's not it, I just empathize with Orochimaru-sama's ideas." Kabuto shrugged.
"It goes far beyond his ideas if you turn yourself into what you are now." Sasori retorted.
Orochimaru cut back into the conversation. "I must say…you are quite good at playing Sasori, you sound and act just like him, I'll admit you almost got me. However, almost isn't good enough, why don't you reveal who you really are?"
"What? You mean this isn't Sasori himself?" Kabuto was confused.
The Snake Sannin shook his head. "Apparently not, also call out those two little mice behind you over here?"
The clone sighed. "Finally and here I thought you were slipping, snake face."
When the clone dispelled, Kushina and Naruto made their move by jumping out of their hiding spot and landing in front of their enemies on the bridge.
To say Orochimaru and Kabuto are shocked is an understatement, while they are stunned by how much Naruto has changed physically in the last three years, they are more focused on the woman who is with him. For Orochimaru, it's been years since he's last encountered her while this is Kabuto's first time meeting her in person.
"Well, well, well, I didn't expect I would get to see you here, it's been a long time since our last encounter, hasn't it, Orochimaru?" Kushina smirked.
'Their last encounter resulted in Orochimaru losing horribly, he had been lucky to escape with his life that day.
The Snake Sannin frowned before giving a smirk of his own. "That it has, Kushina-chan, I didn't expect to ever see you back as a Konoha shinobi."
"Honestly this is only a temporary relationship, you can say I'm even less fond of Konoha than I was all those years ago…" Kushina trailed off.
Orochimaru gazed at Naruto briefly, instantly understanding why Kushina said what she said. He turned his gaze back to Kushina, chuckling in amusement. "So it seems you've finally discovered the truth, sensei lied dead in your face because of how much he valued having a Bijuu as a weapon for Konoha."
"Wait, you mean you knew this whole time? I'm curious as to why you didn't say anything about it? You could've used that information against me in several ways, some resulting in my death." Naruto spoke.
"Kukukuku…you're right about that Naruto, however I found more amusement in allowing you to stay an ignorant fool who didn't know his true identity. Honestly I didn't think Sarutobi-sensei had it in him to be that cruel, yet he proved me wrong and he thought Danzo was so much worse." Orochimaru answered.
"Neither did I, though I learned the truth about the old man quite some time ago. Same about your former perverted teammate, both can go to the deepest pits of hell." Naruto commented.
"Oh? Did that idiot lose another student?" Orochimaru asked.
"Yep and his title as Toad Sage, that title belongs to me now." Naruto smirked.
"InterestIng, let's see if your words hold any real meaning, it'll be nice to know how your progression compares to Sasuke's." Orochimaru showed his own smirk.
"Well then, Naruto you take on Orochimaru since it seems you two have already decided to fight one another, I'll handle Kabuto and try to figure out why he looks like Orochimaru's son." Kushina said.
Naruto couldn't hold back his laughter hearing what Kushina called Kabuto while Kabuto glared angrily at the red-haired woman. When the blond stopped laughing, he and Orochimaru took off to one side on the bridge, Kushina and Kabuto took off to the other side to fight in a different part of the forest. Putting a fair amount of distance between them and Naruto and Orochimaru.
"Well this should be far enough." Kushina stated, she had a strong feeling this fight isn't going to be a long one.
"I must say, it's quite an honor to meet the legendary Red Whirlpool Princess, I never expected to cross paths with you myself." Kabuto said.
"Yeah, a lot of my foes never expect for me to be their executioner until it happens." Kushina shrugged.
Kabuto chuckled, he summoned multiple white snakes from his sleeves to attack Kushina, once the snakes got close enough she unleashed a huge stream of red lightning from her body. The red lightning expanded far enough to kill off all of the snake summons.
Next Kabuto unleashed a giant water dragon towards Kushina, she countered it with her own water dragon, effectively negating Kabuto's attack once more.
"What's wrong? Don't tell me this is the best you can do?" Kushina mocked him, she can tell he's not putting any real effort into their fight even though it just began.
"Kukukuku…not at all, I just have no intentions of showing exactly what I'm capable of…yet." Kabuto pushed up his glasses, smirking.
"Seriously? His laugh too? Ok I knew you had some kind of obsession with Orochimaru but this is too much even for you." Kushina said.
"I'm not obsessed, I just hold a great respect and loyalty towards Orochimaru-sama. Sadly, it seems that it's time for me to branch off from him for awhile." Kabuto sighed.
Kushina raised an eyebrow. "Branch of? What are you talking about?"
"You see, I learned that if I truly want to establish something that defines me, I can't keep aligning myself under someone else who represents a larger entity than myself. I'm a spy but I don't want to be restricted to only that, no I want to become greater than the ones I'm currently beneath. My goal eventually became to get stronger and surpass Orochimaru-sama, to perfect skills that he can not, to achieve a far greater legacy than he could ever imagine for himself. I've already achieved the feat of surpassing him in strength by becoming a perfect being, what you see me as now is the result of my transformation to becoming perfect in a sense." Kabuto explained.
"Well that's….understandable I'll admit, and here I thought you saw yourself as nothing more than Orochimaru's lapdog." Kushina replied, honestly she could understand where he's coming from in regards to wanting to surpass the one above you.
"An response like that indicates that you've known about me for a long time now, if I had to guess you have your own spy who was able to gather information on me and Orochimaru-sama undetected somehow." Kabuto deduced.
The Uzumaki woman shrugged. "Guilty as charged, tabs needed to be kept on Orochimaru for obvious reasons, especially after what I found out about him during our last encounter. He's lucky he escaped me last time before I could finish him off."
A loud noise could be heard coming from where Orochimaru and Naruto's battle is taking place.
"Kukukuku…I see…it seems those two are having quite the time with one another." Kabuto mused.
"Yeah, so tell me this, why are you still following Orochimaru's orders if you plan on branching off from him?" "Kushina wondered.
"Simple, aside from my great respect, I didn't want him to suspect anything yet. I originally came here with the intention of letting Sasori and Orochimaru-sama fight while offering support to Orochimaru-sama here and there. If Sasori won, I would've killed him or if Orochimaru-sama won I would've still played my role as his subordinate until a few more weeks at most when his body starts to fail him. Once he's at his most weakened, I'll allow Sasuke to kill him off, there's no doubt in my or Orochimaru-sama's mind that Sasuke is going to betray him sooner or later." Kabuto answered.
"Basically you set up for your master to be killed without dirtying your hands, all so you can go play identity crisis? Wow, such great loyalty and respect you're displaying." Kushina responded in a very sarcastic tone.
"It's better this way." Kabuto said.
"Yeah, for you, do you seriously think Orochimaru doesn't suspect anything? Especially if he knows or suspects you being stronger than him as you are now? I mean I can literally sense his chakra and essence fused with your own, there's no way he that stupid to fully trust you won't betray him." Kushina retorted.
Kabuto chuckled. "Kukukuku oh I know he certainly suspects some foul play from me in the making, he just doesn't know when I'm going to make my move against him. I'm quite thankful for how generous he was in allowing me to become what I am today."
"You sure have one hell of a way of showing your thankfulness." Kushina said.
"To each their own, now as much as I would love to display to you why I'm far superior to Orochimaru-sama in strength. I'm afraid I must take my leave." Kabuto declared.
Kushina activated her Sharingan, narrowing her eyes. "Stop the bullshit Kabuto, I know you have something bigger than leaving Orochimaru to his death planned, whatever it is won't help you in the end. Even if you're leaving Orochimaru's side, there's no way you're doing this without having at least one reliable ally on your side. You can say you want to surpass the snake all you want but even his ass knew he needed some form of allies and protection. Hence, why his ass ran to the Akatsuki with his tail between his legs." Whatever Kabuto had planned, Kushina knows for a fact he isn't acting alone in the grand scheme of things.
Kabuto was surprised by the sight of the Sharingan. "The Sharingan? I thought you were a full blooded Uzumaki? Unless those are implants?"
"You don't need to know how, just know that I can see through your bullshit with or without these eyes of mine." Kushina said.
Pushing up his glasses, the Snake Sage smirked. "I see…how intriguing I wonder if Naruto has the Sharingan as well? If he can activate it at will like you can then it's definitely possible…as for you claiming that I have an ally…maybe I do, maybe I don't? What I do know is that the next time we meet, the shinobi world as you know it today will no longer be in a state of this fake peacefulness. Until we meet again, Uzumaki Kushina." Kabuto disappeared by reverse summoning himself away.
Kushina searched for her chakra, her senses couldn't pick up Kabuto anywhere close to this whole area, meaning he's long gone.
"Ok…so that was completely unexpected." She said to herself.
'Any particular reason why you allowed him to get away? I didn't see a purpose in showing off your Sharingan to him either.' Yin Kurama asked its friend.
'Showing off my Sharingan was intentional, to send a message to Kabuto and who he's working with to show them a minor glimpse of what I'm capable of. To at least prevent any attacks on Konoha that may have been in the works in the shadows, I'm not expecting it'll do much but at the bare minimum it'll make them wary knowing someone of my prowess has a fully matured pair of Sharingan. As for why I allowed him to get away? I want to try a different angle at uncovering the true identity of the fake Madara Uchiha, see with Kabuto's chakra levels surpassing Orochimaru's by a good margin along with him being a Sage and stronger than Orochimaru. I highly doubt Zetsu didn't notice Kabuto's change since it's the Akatsuki's main spy, meaning the Akatsuki likely knows about Kabuto's new appearance too. It would make sense for Pain or fake Madara to make contact with Kabuto at some point for some form of alliance. Kabuto isn't stupid, he knows even as powerful as he is he still needs allies if he really wants to surpass Orochimaru in every way.' Kushina answered.
'Ah I see, you're using that Kabuto ningen to gain information on the enemy. Regardless if he's allies with the Akatsuki now or not, eventually you believe their partnership will form. Smart, I still would've preferred if you ended his life.' Kurama replied.
'Maybe next time, I would've put him under my Sharingan genjutsu to have him under my control, however that would've been pointless in the end. Pain and fake Madara could break the genjutsu with their own dojutsu, still I should've checked his memories before allowing him to leave. At least I would know if he knows anything yet or not.'
'Yes, that was a missed opportunity on your part, though you still have your spy so maybe it won't matter. You should've at least marked him with your Hiraishin formula in case you find out whoever fake Madara's real identity is before Kabuto does.'
'I thought about marking him, sadly if he can shed his skin like Orochimaru then it wouldn't have mattered if I did or not. Luckily I memorized his chakra signature so I can get to him at any time if I really need to. Now I just need to tell my spy about all of this, I hope she is ready to be shocked how Kabuto drastically changed right under her nose. This gives me perfect teasing material to tease her on how she's slacking in her skills as a spy.' Kushina voiced in amusement towards the end.
Breaking off from her conversation with her furry friend, Kushina teleported to her husband's location. When she did appear, she was a little surprised to see Orochimaru was still alive.
Naruto turned his head to his left and smiled seeing Kushina appear next to him. "Hey babe, did you finish Kabuto or did he escape because I felt his chakra signature disappear?" He asked.
"I let him get away in order to use him as bait to see if we can discover the real identity of the fake Madara. He says he wants to do his own thing and branch off from Orochimaru. Basically the guy is going through an identity crisis, he's powerful, more powerful than Orochimaru for sure but he can be handled easily. I didn't take the opportunity to go through his memories like I should've done." Kushina answered.
"Hmmm well at least he's finally becoming his own man…I guess. Still it's smart of you to think of using him like that." Naruto replied.
Kushina kissed his cheek. "Thank you, so I take it you're done here as well?" She looked at Orochimaru, she could tell he's being controlled by Naruto from the Sharingan design in the Snake Sannin's eyes.
"Uh huh, after playing with Orochimaru for a bit, I started to smack him around then hit him at point blank with an Odama Rasengan. He nearly died until he regurgitated a whole new body from his mouth, that's when I placed him under my genjutsu then went through all of his memories. I know everything that needs to be known about Orochimaru, all of his hideouts' locations and so on. I know the location of the hideout Sasuke is currently residing in." Naruto responded.
"Somehow I doubt he's still there, Kabuto likely warned him about us by now." Kushina noted.
"I know, I still want to check just in case Sasuke is stupid and arrogant enough to stay there thinking I'm not a threat. Also it turns out Orochimaru has an Uzumaki on his side." Naruto told his wife.
Kushina's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait really?!" She desperately wanted to know if more members of the Uzumaki Clan were still around.
"Yeah, she's a full blooded Uzumaki, her name is Karin Uzumaki and she's either my age or a year or two older." The blond 18 year old said.
"…Naruto-kun…we have to go.." Kushina trailed.
"I know Kushina-hime, trust me I know very well we have to go find her. I know the location she's being held in too. First let's take Orochimaru back to Konoha since we did capture him, then we'll tell Baachan about Karin. I'm pretty sure she'll appreciate us telling her what we planned to do first instead of acting on our own. We kinda are still on a mission." Naruto chuckled.
Kushina nodded in agreement, she reactivated her Sharingan which immediately turned into her Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
"Kamui." The red-haired Uzumaki muttered as a spiraling void formed in front of her, the void became a clear portal to Konoha.
"I swear I hope I unlock that ability, it's so damn useful." Naruto said.
"I'm sure you will, if not you'll probably get something better." Kushina grinned.
Naruto gave Orochimaru the mental command to walk into the portal as the blond himself and his wife followed into Kamui Dimension afterwards.
