Lyra pushed the chiseled, blonde football player against the wall outside of his apartment, kissing and caressing his muscled body.

"Are you going to invite me in?" She whispered between kisses.

"Won't you please come in?" He didn't think twice about his decision, he only had one thing on his mind.

They entered his apartment and made their way to the bedroom, leaving a trail of clothes behind them. Lyra smiled to herself, she was going to get sex and a meal out of this and she couldn't be happier.

Lyra put on her shirt and grabbed her jacket, making her way to the door. She looked behind her and made sure the football player was sleeping peacefully like she had compelled. In his head, she was just a one night fling that he would never remember.

It was still dark out when Lyra stepped out of the small three-story, brick apartment building, she smiled to herself out of satisfaction, but it was quickly gone.

Someone was watching her.

The hair on the back of her neck was standing up, letting her know that her stalker from earlier had not given up but had found themselves in her shadow again. Lyra contemplated what she should do, should she play innocent or be the predator she was meant to be? She had already attempted to wait them out, she was sure that she had entertained herself with the football player for at least three hours.

She smirked to herself and started down the street. Her mind was made, she had been wanting to kill someone lately.

Lyra kept a brisk pace, taking turn after turn, trying to deter her tail. She opened her senses and rolled her shoulders, ready to strike when the opportunity presented itself. At one particular corner, there were groups of people spilling out of a bar and into the street, Lyra turned and made her way into the crowd. She was hoping to lose her stalker through the chaos but her senses told her otherwise. That's it, I'm done playing games. Time to show this asshat who's the true predator here.

Lyra broke through the crowd and immediately turned into the alley next door, hiding behind a smelly, green dumpster. She pushed herself into its shadow and held her breath, waiting to spot whoever it was that was following her. She didn't have to wait long, a minute later, a male figure emerged from the top of the building. The figure peered over the alley, trying to catch a glimpse of her. She pushed herself farther into the shadow and watched the man, trying to decipher facial features. The figure turned away before she could get a good look, moving to check the crowd again.

Lyra moved out of her hiding spot and, using her vampire speed, she runs and jumps, landing on the top of the building at the end of the alley. Smiling to herself for making the two-story leap, Lyra turned to face the male figure that had been pursuing her throughout the night.

His back was turned to her, he didn't seem to hear her landing, and was still focused on the crowd below. Lyra moved slowly at first but decided to use her speed to apprehend the man, blurring her way towards him. He moved at the last minute, moving at his own supernatural speed.

Fucking vampires, I tell ya.

He continued his speed and jumped to the next building, repeating the motion until he reached the end and dropped to the ground below. Lyra was in hot pursuit, surprised at how fast the vampire was moving.

She followed him into a community park but lost sight of him through all the trees.

What the fuck, what kind of park has this many trees? This fucking dimension is feeling more like a poorly scripted movie every day.

Lyra glanced to her left and found a sign that reads, ARBOR PARK, DALLAS CITY'S VERY OWN MINI FOREST. Rolling her eyes at the stupid name, she made her way into the park, following the path cautiously.

The park was dark with small pockets of moonlight, peeking through the dense trees. Lyra kept her senses open, but she found too many sounds in the small wooded area. Squirrels, bats, mice, and any other creature that found sanctuary in the park was setting off every sense that she had. She hadn't hunted in an environment like this in almost a decade but she an Original and wasn't going to let this get the better of her.

Lyra sighed in defeat, despite the overwhelming sounds and smells, she found no sign of the vampire and was now at the end of the park. She surveyed the area one more time, making sure she hadn't missed anything, and started her way home, dragging her feet in protest of her lost prey. I really wanted to kill someone but I guess I'll just have to wait.

Ugh, this place is no fun.

Godric watched Lyra leave the park in defeat. Just a little bit ago she had jumped two-stories and after sneaking up on him, had followed him at his top speed, managing to almost keep up.

He didn't know what she was but he was going to find out.

That was a promise.

Hey...
Sorry it's been like a month. Sorry that this chapter is pretty short too but I decided to just publish what I had instead of waiting for the end of the semester to finish it (which is in, like, two weeks so you shouldn't have to wait so long for another chapter). I was going to have Lyra and Godric fight in this chapter and have her secret come out to him but I realized it would mess with my planned timeline too much, so you'll have to wait to see who would win that fight (we saw here that Godric was faster than her).
Thanks for reading and especially for all the reviews!
