Hello again! Welcome to the beginning of Vol 3, or as I like to call it, shit hitting the fan at Mach 5. This Volume will be interesting and challenging for me at least, because there will be changes to things and how it will end. Which means that I need more time to write how it would go. For good or for worse. Anyways let's move on to comments first if there is any for me to reply to.
Selfishgecko: As of yet, before the gods took him away from earth, he know up to volume 7 (not like it mattered in the future...). As for your next question, Yea I admit, it was a bit fast but think of it being the transition between Vol 2 and Vol 3.

Chapter 19
Complications and changes
A couple of days have passed since both Blake and Jade went out on a date and the Vytal Festival is now in full swing, Jade was now in Ozpin's office with General Ironwood and Glynda Goodwitch.
"You did WHAT!" Jade yelled at the adults.
"Mr Grayson, I understand why you are outraged, but please calm down." Glynda lectured Jade.
Jade had just found out that the adults had changed the rules of this year's festival. Now the system runs by an elimination set up. Each team would fight another, the winner would then ascend the ranks and then fight the next winner vice versa. Another change that they made is that a randomiser would choose a representative to fight in the 1v1 fight for each vial popular vote. This has caught both Jade and Raphael off guard. Raphael even materialises next to Jade to express his shock, but no one could see him, for only Jade could see him.
"Did you think this would stop Cinder?" Jade then calmed down before speaking.
"Yes, Mr Grayson, when my technicians have a look at the virus, we found out that it was not only to hack my androids. But it also grants her access to the CCTs and would allow her to manipulate the festival. It also turns out that the virus has already embedded itself into the CCT and we are unable to fully remove the virus until the festival is over." The general explained.
"As what General Ironwood had said, we made it to prevent Cinder Fall from influencing the fights to her favour. Do you have anything to add in?" Ozpin then asked.
Jade remained silent with his hand on his chin. At the same time he looked like he was listening to someone, but none of the adults heard who Jade was listening to.
"If that's the case… We got one main threat that Cinder possessed that could cause a mess should she be allowed to play it."
"And that would be?" Glynda then asked.
"Emerald Sustrai. She possesses a dangerous semblance, hallucinations, the ability to modify the sensory information in a person's head while their brain is processing it. It also has an activation sound, this ringing noise you would hear."
"And how do you know this information Jade Grayson?" Ironwood then asked.
"Huh? I thought I toId you already that I fought them years back. Never mind that, We are getting distracted."
"Then what about your androids general? If the virus is still in the system then they would most likely be compromised." Jade then pointed it out after a pause.
"You may not worry about it Mr Grayson, (but I am!) I have already begun recalling androids back and replacing them with Atlesian personal. This should negate the issues of the virus."
"But for how long…" Jade muttered but no one could hear him.
"Is that all you need Mr Grayson?" Ozpin then asked.
"Yea, I should go now. I got a team to see win." Jade nodded as he left the room. The adults however still don't trust Jade fully, especially Ozpin.
"Mr Grayson is hiding something from us." Ozpin muttered loudly as the others faced him with a quizzed look.
"I suppose so, Jade's reaction to us changing the rules of the festival seemed too emotional, as if he had plans of his own and we botch it." Glynda was next to join into the conversion.
"But the most important question is what is he hiding… If you wish, I can assign specialist Schnee to keep an eye on him." Ironwood gave a suggestion.
"No that would arouse too much suspicion. For now we watch and continue our plans to deal with Cinder. Jade will be a concern for later." Ozpin finished the conversation as everyone nodded with agreement.
On the hallways of the Beacon, both Jade and Raphael are now in a discussion on what to do now.
"This… must be a side effect of our interference… I… Should have seen that coming but I did not."
"We both were caught off guard. Now what?"
"With the changes to how the festival runs… We should also tell them about Emerald's semblance."
"You sure this will go well?" Jade then mentally asked.
"No, but this would no doubt cause Cinder to change her plans again. Most likely the fall will still happen but... It should not be so bad… Hopefully…" Raphael just sounded very unsure about it.
"Well then what now?"
"I don't know, you did promise Blake to see her match right?." Raphael then suggested.
"Yea. Lets go check on them."
It was then in which Jade arrived at the stadium to watch the spectacle as his team were now put against team ABRN. Jade then found a seat while with a drink in his hand.
In the field of volcanic earth and icy glaciers below, Ruby fires and swings her Crescent Rose at one of the members of team ABRN as Blake Belladonna exchanges blows with Reese Chloris, the blades of her Gambol Shroud colliding with the hoverboard of her opponent until she flips away, readies herself, and charges in again. Behind her, Weiss Schnee waves her Myrtenaster as the sound of her mystical power is heard, and finally Yang Xiao Long dodges the explosive force of Arslan Altan's fist before returning fire with her own Ember Celica.
"Yea! Go team RWBY!" Jade cheered as two very familiar professors could be seen on the sports caster's desk.
"Hello! It seems that we have another astonishing bout ahead of us! Wouldn't you agree, Professor?"
"Doctor." Oobleck corrected his fellow professor before continuing on. "And yes Peter, I think it's safe to say this match may be the closest we've seen of the four-on-four round of the tournament!"
"For those of you just now joining us, welcome to the Vytal Festival Tournament, broadcast live from the Amity Colosseum!"
"For this year's festival, there have been changes to the rules of how the match will run. Let me explain." Port then announced the changes to the rules as he held up his fingers.
"First, of all… You can choose who you wish to support in seeing the 1v1s in the polls now being passed around. In it you can choose one of the team members in which you wish to see in the 1v1s, once that is done, the results will be recorded and shown for all to see!"
"The Tournament itself would have two phases. 4v4s and 1v1s, all teams will battle each other in the 4v4s, once that is done, the poll will decide in which member of the team is chosen by the public themselves and that chosen individual will participate in the 1v1 fights!
"And yes, Peter, these certainly are some spectacular spectacles on which to spectate on! I don't think anyone tuning in around the world is going to disagree with me on that!"
"Ahh, and why would they? Now, let's get back to the match between Team RWBY of Beacon, and Team ABRN, of Haven."
In the meantime, Reese steers her board through the ice. She twirls herself until the board gets launched at Blake, but she's able to knock it away, only for Reese to direct it back at her opponent. Blake blocks it again, but the board rotates back to its wielder just in time to defend Reese as Blake delivers several slashes and kicks. Reese deflects each attack and spins her weapon around until she can flip away and ride it again, rushing towards a smirking Blake.
She collides with the frozen shadow clone, and Blake uses his opportunity to slice the board in two, only for the halves to become dual katars that in turn fold up into bayonet-bladed revolvers. Reese manages to fire off a few green rounds before her tailbone collides painfully on the cold ground.
"Ough…. That looks like it hurts…" Jade thought to himself.
"Ditto." Raphael agreed as he manifested beside Jade while sitting down on the chair.
Meanwhile, Yang lands mere feet away from Arslan, who backs away before being pounded by two quick punches. The pair dodge each other's kicks then Arslan delivers her own hits, launching a series of hammer blows. Yang defends herself and retaliates, the clash ending with the two smashing fists and creating a shockwave of force from the impact. Yang and Arslan are both thrown back, but Yang reaches her and tries delivering more blows before Arslan flips away then uses her rope dart to tangle up her blonde adversary's leg and land a kick of her own to send Yang skidding on the ground. While Yang tries to get her balance back on the slippery surface, Arslan rushes forward and knocks her back even further.
Nearby, Nadir Shiko tries aiming with his assault rifle at Yang before a sudden burst of frosty blue explodes behind him and leaves the whimpering gunner in a block of ice up to his thighs.
"Got your back!" Ruby yelled.
"But who's got yours?" Bolin then asked.
Ruby looks up behind her as Bolin twirls his staff, right when a black snowflake glyph appears to his left and Weiss kicks him through it into a rock.
"My BFF!" Ruby then yelled
"No." Weiss replied back to her partner while remaining deadpan.
"Yes." Ruby whispered to herself.
Bolin crouches with his weapon as he sees a white glyph appear in front of him. A second later, Weiss dashes by and slashes at him, then leaps up and attempts an aerial attack, which he's able to block. She readies her sword while preparing a glyph behind her, and Ruby uses it to launch herself straight up and come down spinning on Bolin, who manages to block the curved blade. Ruby grimaces and blasts herself away to Weiss' side, and Bolin rushes at them, rolling away from the shards of ice that rain on him and jumping over Ruby's swing as he continues running.
"Whaaat!?" Ruby yells out in confusion.
Bolin manages to reach an orange crystal deposit and slice off a shard, which he throws to Reese over in the icy half of the stadium. With Dust in hand, Reese fuses it with her board, turning the aqua lights to a crimson shade. She winks at Blake, then uses the board's heat to free Nadir from his icy snare.
"Thanks Reese!" Nadir thanked her teammate.
She comes back to Blake and slams her board into her enemy's blade, but propels herself backwards and knocks Blake through a frozen pillar. Reese attempts to use her board to slam her foe into the ground, but when she dodges that, she spins around in a flaming arc that Blake narrowly misses thanks to her shadows. Changing tactics, Blake launches the pistol part of Gambol Shroud at a nearby glacier and launches herself behind it, as Reese follows her and sees Blake with her back turned to her under an arch.
Reese grins before riding in to deliver a flaming spiral at the shadow clone, only to see the ribbon Blake is launching to trap her opponent a moment too late. She pulls tightly and causes Reese to slam body-first into the string, only to use a final kick to knock her out of the stage. Reese crashes into the wall of the stands before landing on the ground, defeated.
"Ooh, a double whammy! Reese Chloris is eliminated by ring out and Aura level!" Port announced as the Chloris's aura drops to red.
"Oh, she really should've worn a helmet!" Oobleck then joined in.
Back in the fight, Arslan uses her rope to swing around and avoid Yang right behind her, using shotgun blasts to propel herself forward. Nadir comes into the picture, aiming his rifle at Weiss as she summons another glyph and launches Bolin at him. The two teammates are helpless as Weiss creates a whirlwind from underneath them and slamming the two together until she forms a giant ice fist straight up from the ground to trap the two. It reforms itself into a ball that rolls around the field, and when Arslan sees her team in this state, she rolls her eyes, annoyed, before changing direction and sliding into the path of the ball. She readies her stance and drives her hand into the sphere, which cracks under her power and frees her allies.
"Yang! NOW!" Weiss yelled.
Knowing what to do, Yang blasts herself forward and skims over the wall of ice, catching Blake's pistol as her teammate uses Ruby as a launch pad to jump off of towards the remaining members of ABRN. The three only have a second to look horrified as Blake whips a screaming Yang around to land a devastating punch that sends the trio flying into their elimination.
"And that's the match! Team RWBY is victorious!" Professor Port announces as everyone cheers including Jade at their win.
Jade then got off his seat and ran down towards the exit point of the stadium as team RWBY could be seen walking out of the exit.
"Hey guys! Congrats on your victory! So far so good!" Jade yelled as he ran towards his team who all smiled at Jade.
"Jade! I thought you couldn't make it to see us because of Ozpin." Ruby then yelled back as all of them walked towards Jade who was still running towards them.
"Not like I could not just keep Ozpin from holding me back from seeing you all kick some butts out there now can I? And besides, I promised Blake that I would be there to see you all in action. And I'm glad I get to see you all beat them.
"Well I'm glad you kept your promise. Besides… I still can't wait to see you out there." Blake just smiles as both of them hold hands together.
"Yea! I cannot wait to see you in action." Yang says as Port's voice could be heard in the background.
"Before all of you go for your lunch break, we got a very special occasion over here! Would Jade Grayson report to the battleground here!"
"Well that my que, see you guys later." Jade said as Blake gave a kiss on his cheek and muttered.
"Go get them."
"You bet ya I'm going to beat them." Jade says back as he walks towards the battlegrounds as his clothes change to his combat outfit and his mask forms on his face.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have a very special match for all of you today!" Port yells out.
"Indeed, Port, We have team SHDW (Shadow) of Shade Academy against beacon's solo fighter Jade Grayson, or as the students in Beacon call him, Blood Hunter!" Oobleck yells out, this confused the audience except those from Beacon as Jade entered the battlegrounds as he gazed throughout the crowds and spotted his team, as well as team JNPR and Cinders gang.
"You all may be wondering why there's only one person, then wait and see!" Oobleck yelled out.
"So are they seriously handing us a free win right over here?" Jade's competitors snarked, he was seen wearing a purple vest with a white shirt underneath he is also wearing black jeans with black boots that had purple laces and lines on it. He is also rather tall with bleached white hair and purple eyes. On his back he is carrying twin axes and some throwing dust knives.
"Really Helio? I don't think it is a good idea to underestimate him if he actually earned a title like that. His teammate countered him as she was wearing an orange-blue combat skirt, she also has leggings and wears high heels as her body has armour located around the torso and legs. Her hair colour is orange and is branded up with a blue bow holding it together and has blue eyes. That person is Sunny Everheart, leader of team SHDW and she wields a sword that can change into a whip.
"I unfortunately have to agree with sis over here. If what they say about him is true, then we should not underestimate him." Another member of team SHDW had spoken his mind. He wears an opened up black coat with a white shirt on the inside they all have yellow marking all over it, He also wears black pants and shoes, lastly, his hair is black and he has brown eyes. That person is Damian Blackheart, twin brother of Sunny Everheart and he wields a longsword that can turn into a rifle.
"Can't get a day that I was chosen as leader huh bro?" Sunny snarked at her brother as he growled back, only for their last member to stop them from fighting.
"Guys we have a battle to win here so focus!" She yelled at them she wears a sleeveless white dress that has gold on it, it also has armour covering her arms and torso. Her hair is yellow and her eyes are yellow-gold in colour. She is Whittaker Flavia, the last member of team SHDW and she wields a bow that can turn into swords.
"Really guys it's just one guy, we can overwhelm him no problem." Helios said as Jade quietly observed them in detail.
"I never met these guys nor have I seen them in the web show." Raphael muttered as he manifested next to Jade as he glanced at him.
"Never?" He asked.
"Nope… never seen them, I can't really help you. But I trust you can do this!" Raphael seemed very unsure but he shrugged it off and gave Jade a thumbs up before disappearing.
"Well then let's get this show on the road." Jade muttered as he pulled out his guns and began to spot check it.
"So what about you, handsome boy? I'm sure we can celebrate after this is over. At my place of course..." Flavia said to Jade as she licked her lips. Jade's ears twitched as he could swear he heard Blake yelling bloody murder at the woman who dared to flirt at her boyfriend.
"As much as I like to, I'm taken, and besides… Let's give everyone here a show that they will remember till the end of this festival!" Jade yelled out as the crowd began to cheer.
"Oh oh! It looks like Jade Grayson is ready for action and neither is the crowd!" Port enthusiastically said.
"Indeed! Let's not keep any of them waiting!" Oobleck agreed.
The holographic roulette then appeared on screen as it selected Forest and snow.
"Forest and snow? A wonderful place for our contestants to fight in!" Port enthusiastically said.
"Snow. Really… I hate this match already…" Damian grumbled as his teammates also looked unsure.
"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Jade joked as laughter could be heard in the crowd. (Yang is definitely laughing all right.)
"What! I mean… We can do this right guys?" Sunny yelled and then tried to assure her team that they still got it in the bag.
3… team SHDW pulled out their weapons.
2… Jade pointed both his hand cannons at the opposition.
1… Both teams tense and ready up for the fight.
Back at where team RWBY is sitting…
"You sure Jade can do it? I mean not that he can't but… They look coordinated and stuff..." Jaune asked his fellow students about it.
"I understand that you are concerned but, I have full confidence that Jade can do this with relatively no issue." Weiss assured Jaune.
"Blake? Are you ok? I mean you were screaming your head off when that blonde girl started flirting with Jade." Pyrrha then asked Blake who still looked absolutely pissed as she folded her arms under her breast.
"I'm… Fine…" Blake muttered angrily.
"Looks like someone could not handle jealousy." Yang jokingly muttered to herself. However, Blake heard it and gave her partner a death glare to back off and shut up. She took it.
Back with Jade…
*BEEEEP! *
The alarm rang as Jade dashed in to close the distance between himself and team SHDW while firing his guns at them.
"Whoa! Helios!" Sunny yelled as all of them dodged Jade's attack.
"Oh oh! It looks like Jade has decided to go on the offensive! A risky strategy!" Ports commentary could be heard in the background.
"Right!" Helios yelled as he dashed in with his axes, Jade seeing this transformed his guns into swords as he then clashed with Helios. Helios just smiled and said. "Not bad… Not bad at all… Too bad we have you outnumbered."
Jade's eyes went wide as he then disengaged from the clash to dodge both Sunny's whip and Whittaker's arrows, Jade then dropped a flashbang grenade on the ground as he jumped away.
Team RWBY, who knew what grenade it was, quickly told their sister team to close their eyes and ears. They took their advice, the grenade detonated with a flash of light and an audible bang which caused all of team SHDW to be disoriented as they clutched their eyes in pain. (Don't worry, Jade modified it so it won't blind the audience.)
"Wow! I had never seen a grenade with that effect before! Someone get Jade to see me after the festival is over!" Oobleck yells with fascination in his voice.
"I do agree so with myself!" Port joins in as the crowd continues to go wild at Jade's creation.
"What the hell was that! Sunny did you use your semblance on us?!" Damian yelled at his sister as Jade dashed in and slashed all of them a bit before disappearing into the snowy forest.
"No I did not! We need to be cautious around him! Flivia! Use your semblance to find him!" Sunny yelled at her brother before addressing Flavia to use her semblance.
Flavia nodded as she began to channel her aura into forming a duplicate of her in front of her.
"Looks like Whittaker is using her semblance!" Port yells out.
"Yes indeed! Flavia can create an exact duplicate of herself and it can act independently or be given an order by her!" Oobleck began explaining Flavia's semblance as the crowd watched in awe.
A yellow version of Flavia then appeared in front of herself as it gazed into her eyes.
"Find and expose him in the forest so we can get him." Flavia ordered as the copy of her nodded and rushed into the forest.
"Now let's go catch us a cat." Domain says as the team nodded and walked into the forest.
Back with the team...
"Do you think Jade can do this? They did force him to retreat..." Ruby asked her friends with uncertainty in her voice.
"To be honest sis… I do not know." Yang said as they watched the screen which showed Jade in the trees.
"Blake?" Ruby then asked her.
"He is planning something…" Blake could only mutter as the team looked at her before gazing back at the screen.
Back with Jade…
"Man… this is getting really tense… I like it, it reminds me of my previous job… speaking of which..." Jade's thoughts ran as he noticed team SHDW walking past him without knowing that he was there.
"Man… where is he?" Helios grumbled.
"I don't like this… I think we are walking into a trap…" Damian then mumbled.
"By one guy? Yea that could happen…" Flavia joined in.
"Guys let me shine it up!" Sunny says as the others cover their eyes. As she raised her right hand and it began to glow. At the same time, Jade also tried to close his eyes but it was too late however.
"It looks like Sunny is now going to use her semblance!" Port continues commentating.
"Yes that's the case! Sunny's semblance is called Flashlight, it can be used to blind opponents or Grimm in some cases! But she must use it with restraint as she would also bind her team!" Oobleck explained.
A flash of light could be seen in the forest as a hissing sound of pain could be heard in the forest, all of them turned towards the hissing sound as Sunny then used her whip and grabbed Jade and yanked him out of the trees who was hiding in it, as Flavia then shot him with an arrow to the chest.
Jade then let out a yell of pain as he struggled to break out of the bind which had ice dust coated around it.
"So that's how it feels like…" Jade mumbled.
"Yield Jade! You lost!" Sunny says as all four of them approached the tied-up Jade.
"Oh dear! Is this the end of Jade Grayson?" Port yelled in shock.
"Impossible! He would never give in so easily!" Oobleck agreed with his fellow professor.
Jade however just smiled beneath his mask, and said. "All according to plan."
This caused all of team SHDW to look worried as all of a sudden, multiplied metallic tendrils emerge from the ground and bind all of them up as Jade unravels the whip around him.
"What the!"
"Whoa!"
"Dammit I knew it was a trap!"
"It looks like Jade had lured all of team SHDW into a trap with his semblance! What an amazing use of tactics against a numerical advantage foe!"
"That I agree! Jade's semblance is called Blood Veil! It allows him to manipulate his clothes into tendrils that can grab weapons or bind all his enemies! As we can all see, part of Jade's overcoat is in the ground and that's how he got team SHDW into a trap!"
"Well thank you guys for so willing to walk into my well-placed trap." Jade got up to his feet as he held his left hand forward. He then clench is fist as the tendrils then slam all of team SHDW together as grunts of pain could be heard, at the same time all of the tendrils retracted into the ground.
Jade then pulled out an ice grenade in his hand and armed it, followed by him tossing it at them as it hit Helios straight in the face and then it exploded. All of team SHDW were trapped in a thin layer of ice as Jade continues to drain their aura via attacks.
Back with the team…
"I can't believe it… They had him on the ropes (Unintended pun I swear!) and he used it to his advantage…" Ren said in awe.
"Oh you betcha! Jady always would come right on top!" Yang cheered.
"Well done… I'm proud of you..." Blake says it while smiling with joy.
"Yea! Go Jade!" Ruby also cheers for Jade.
"As expected of him to come back on top." Weiss muttered.
Back with everyone else on the battlegrounds…
All of team SHDW's aura were dropping into the yellow from Jade striking hard and fast, they are now going to reach red unless they did something. That came when Whittaker's copy showed up and tackled Jade onto the ground. As the rest of the team gets up.
"Helios use your semblance now! We all need it now!"
"You got it boss!"
"Oh! It looks like the fight is not over yet everyone! Helios is going to use his semblance!" Port announces to everyone.
"Oh yes! Helios semblance is called, Garden of Vacuo! Any ally within the range of his semblance would receive aura regeneration and reinvigoration from it! A truly powerful semblance!" Oobleck then explained as Helios slammed his palm into the ground. And in an instant, everything within a ten-meter radius surrounding Helios whether it is snow or plants, all changed into purple flowers that bloomed despite the snow.
As soon as the flowers popped up, all of team SHDW aura levels began to increase much to the shock of everyone that was watching. (Yes that is a broken ass semblance)
Back with the gang of four and their team…
"Ok! That's just broken!" Yang yelled out in frustration at how unfair it is.
"That is just plain unfair." Weiss mutters.
"Cheater!" Ruby yells.
"How is he going to come back after this?" Jaune asked worriedly as Jade finally destroys the duplicate.
"Go Jady! You can break their legs again!"
"Nora!"
"Don't give up…" Blake could only pray that Jade would succeed.
After Jade had successfully destroy Flivaia's duplicate, Jade then dodges a slash from Sunny which he returns back with a back kick. Jade then ducks under Damian's shot as he deflects Filavia's arrow all while using his semblance to deal with Helios that swung his axes from behind him. Jade then used his semblance to grab Sunny and tossed her at Flavia.
"Oh! Looks like Jade is not giving up anytime soon!" Port announced as the hype in the crowds continues to grow.
As the fight continues, Jade uses his swords to parry Damian's attacks before grabbing him and using him to take Flavia's arrow for him before tossing him aside like trash.
"Ga! Really! Using me to take shots out of you!? What the hell man!"
The crowd could be heard laughing and cheering for Jade to beat them.
It was then in which Jade dodged a dust knife as it lands near him and explodes with a purple hue that dragged Jade towards the implosion of gravity dust. Jade rolled to avoid blocked some shots before Flavia took aim at him and release the arrow straight at Jade's chest, Jade however, just dropped one of his guns before catching the arrow as it was about to hit him and threw it at Damian's chest.
The arrow hits it mark as Damian slams up against a tree while groaning in pain.
"Damian!" Sunny shouted in worry.
"Sorry!" Flavia apologised as Port could be heard in the background as the crowd could be heard cheering and laughing at the incident.
"And Jade Grayson had caught Flavia's arrow before throwing it at Blackheart! What an amazing way to use an opponent's attacks against them!"
Jade then used his semblance to trip Helios as he tried to slash Jade with his axes as Jade then stomps onto his chest before jumping to dodge Sunny's attack with her sword. However, Sunny feints her swing as her sword transforms into a whip at it manages to wrap around Jade's arms before activating the electric dust in her whip.
Jade could be heard screaming in pain as he tried desperately to remove the whip coiled around his arms as Helios gets up and slams his axes into Jade's chest, This sends Jade flying and crashing towards the trees before being buried by the tree, snow and other stuff.
"Oh! What teamwork team SHDW had done! Is Jade finished? Is this the end of the Blood hunter?" Port continued to dramatically comment on what had happened.
"Jade!" Blake desperately called out as all of team RWBY and JNPR watched with horror as Jade's aura bar was just barely above the red. He was going to lose…
"Is it over? They weren't kidding that this guy can solo all of us…" Whittaker asked.
"I hope so…" Helios said as he fell to his knees as Flavia caught him.
"Sister… We should not let our guard down… I don't like this." Damian said to his sister as she nodded back. All of them slowly approached the pile of fallen trees and snow.
All of them gave a pause when there was movement in the snow. It was then when all of them noticed that Jade's aura was rising quickly much to everyone's confusion.
"What's this? Jade's aura is rising rapidly?! What is happening with Jade?" Port says with confusion.
"I believe that I am missing something else…" Oobleck muttered as he tried to remember if he had missed anything else.
Back with everyone else.
"Uh… Guys? why is Jade's aura level rising?" Nora pointed it out.
"Did he break it?" Jaune then asked.
"No..." Blake went wide eyed when she realised what Jade had done, as everyone looked at her for answers.
"What do you mean no?" Ruby then asked.
"Jade mentioned that he can consume his own blood to restore his aura… He told us about it when we first met him. I think that's what he is doing right now..."
"That is still not healthy for the body." Weiss then points out as everyone nodded in agreement.
"Then it is most likely used in emergency cases." Jaune then concluded as everyone looked on the screen again.
In an instant multiple tendrils erupted from the snowy wreckage and grabbed all four of them as they desperately tried to breakout. Jade then emerged from the pile though it is obvious that Jade is noticeably paler than usual as the crowds go wild at this constant tug of war between Jade and team SHDW between both teams.
"Oh oh oh! A Second wind right there everyone! Jade Grayson is back in action and better than before!" Port says with excitement.
"Right! I almost forgot! Jade's semblance also allows him to consume or sacrifice some of his blood to restore his aura! A very fascinating and amazing semblance at play here ladies and gentlemen!"
"How are you still ok?!" Helios yelled out in frustration as Jade ignored him and slammed all four of them against the trees.
"Oobleck guy just said it. But enough of that, it's time to end this." Jade just smiled underneath his mask before swinging and throwing all of them into the air as all four of them began to scream in panic.
Jade then transformed his guns into a sniper rifle before blasting at all four opponents and then he used his semblance to launch himself upwards and towards team SHDW in the air. He then used his semblance to grab all four of them before swinging them straight into the floor. And with that, a large cloud of snow and dust blocked a fairly large crater that contains all of team SHDW all groaning in pain and defeat as the alarm goes off. Signalling the end of the game.
"What an amazing display here with a quadruple elimination of aura levels! This is one of the most amazing displays of combat I have ever seen in a long time!" Port says as the crowd goes wild.
"Oh yes I must agree, this is one of the best fights in the Vytal Festival I have seen in a long time! Both teams have shown their skill and abilities against each other and a glorious quadruple finish for Jade to end it!" Oobleck continued as Jade landed back onto the ground on his feet.
"And with that! Jade Grayson, the fifth member of team RWBY wins the Match!" Port finished it off as Jade's mask disintegrate revealing his smile as he sighs in relief.
"Never thought I would have to use it…" Jade muttered as he walked towards the exit.
As Jade made towards the exit, he could see his team and JNPR all waiting for him.
"Guys!" Jade ran towards his team only for him to trip and face-plant on the ground when he lost his footing as he was dizzy from a lack of blood in his system. Blake then ran up as to Jade the others just smiled at how Blake cared deeply for Jade.
"Jade! Don't push yourself, we all know what you did earlier… So don't overdo yourself, you need food." Blake told her boyfriend as she helped him back to his feet.
"Thank you Blake. I never liked using that, it drains me and I get dizzy." Jade muttered as the others joined them.
"That was amazing Jade!" Ruby energetically cheers.
"Well done Jady!" Yang wrapped her arm around his shoulder as she congratulated Jade.
"That was awesome Jade!" Nora was next to say her piece.
"Well done Jade I'm glad to have you on our team. Victory is assured with what you have achieved." Weiss smiles as she offered Jade her congratulations.
"That was an amazing fight you did there Jade." Pyrrha was next.
"Thanks Pyrrha, those guys know what they were doing. I think they might be able to beat you if you were the one fighting them."
"Really? Then I will see you in the finals then." Pyrrha smiled at Jade.
"Same for you Pyrrha." Jade smiled back.
As if by command, all of team RWBY's (and Jade) and JNPR's stomachs seemingly growled at the same time. All of them had a look of embarrassment at what had happened just now.
"Well then… Let's go have lunch!" Ruby suggested as everyone agreed.
Much later…
All of team RWBY (and Jade) and JNPR could be seen at the ramen stall as Yang orders.
"I'll have a bowl of the regular, please." Yang says as a large bowl of noodles slides in front of her.
"Oohhh... I'll take the same." Ruby also orders the same as a large bowl of noodles slides in front of her, as she clasps her hands in excitement.
"Do you have anything with a low-salt ...?" Weiss asked with concern in her voice as a large bowl of regular noodles slides in front of her. "Um... okay…" She muttered.
Instead of saying anything, Both Blake and Jade merely give a nod and smile to the Shopkeeper, who returns the gesture as he rushes through one door of his shop and comes out the other to leave two large bowls of noodles topped with fish in front of both of them. Both of them could be seen with stars in their eyes as both of them began to drool over it, as Weiss gave a strange look to her teammates as she gave her credit card to her team.
Team JNPR also ordered the same dish as their sister team with Pyrrha paying for their own meals.
"Aw, Weiss! What's the occasion!?" Yang asked.
"Thank you Weiss." Both Jade and Blake thank Weiss as they both bowed their heads towards her.
"Consider it a reward for the performance that all of us had achieved so far." Weiss says it with joy until the card is flung back at her, and the annoyed shopkeeper points to his register as it beeps "DECLINED".
"What?! How can my card be declined? I was barely into my monthly allowance!" Weiss yelled as Jade looked annoyed.
"Must be that father of yours." Jade grumbled as he looked annoyed before glancing at his meal with worry.
Blake on the other hand looked panicked as she attempted to slowly slide her bowl closer to herself before the shopkeeper disappeared with her and Jade's food, causing the poor girl to slump over in defeat as Jade collapsed onto the table.
"Nooo!" She moaned in sadness.
"Drat!" Jade yelled in frustration as his hunger was really bothering him hard.
"Maybe I could help?" Pyrrha who was next to Jade then suggested as the rest of her team were already eating.
"Really Pyrrha? You are willing to pay for all five of us?!" Ruby then asked her
"Aw, you don't have to …" Yang tried to dissuade Pyrrha from paying their food only for both faunus to interrupt her.
"But she could!" Blake then yelled
"Yes! Please pay for us! I'm starving!" Jade joined his girlfriend.
"Well, I think you all earned it after that battle. Especially after that performance Jade." Pyrrha smiles as she passes the shopkeeper her card.
"THANK YOU!" Both Faunuses thank the invincible girl as all of them ate their noodles before JNPR were called back into the battlegrounds.
Authors Notes.
Oh boy, now thing are going to get very interesting now that certain things are in play.
Ok, first of all. I feel it was needed to show had Jade had changed may thing that are going to happen, like now how the general is pulling his android back to Atlas or how the rules of the festival have changed.
Next is how all the adults don't trust Jade, it makes sense if you thinks about it, Ozpin is a good reader of a person, it does not help on how Jade reacted when they change the rules which grabbed their attention that Jade is plotting something. So it make sense to me that they would also distrust Jade as well. It is just that he has a lower priority than Cinder Fall who they are keeping a very close watch thanks to Jade's information.
Next we have Jade vs team SHDW. (Shadow) An OC team that I created myself, I wanted to show how despite how skilled Jade is, he is still one person, a team that outnumbered him 4 to 1 and have some broken semblances like Garden of Vacuo. (That is a fate reference for you guys.) He only won because he had an emergency ability that he hates using it, and the fact that everyone was exhausted. Remember he has lower aura levels than normal and he is used to running when a fight is highly against him back when he was a mercenary.
But yea, and Blake's overall reaction to Flavia flirting with Jade is something I wanted to add to Blake's development as a person. She would get over-protective over Jade (not like he does not like the attention or anything like that.) But she can get clingy as she does not want to lose him to death or someone else to take him away from her. So yea. Now imagining a clingy Blake on Jade is amusing to think about.
Other than that… There is nothing else to talk about so I will end it off here. If you think I miss anything out, feel free to leave a review on what you think about this chapter.
