After dinner with Quinn, life went on smoothly. It was until today. It was sunny day with nice breeze. Marina suggested Chloe they go to the park and eat ice cream.
"Ice cream date? I'm all the way in, babe." Chloe said with cute chuckle. Marina took Chloe's hand and ran outside excitedly. Giggling, they arrived at the park.
"Today's weather is really nice. What flavor do you want?" Marina asked Chloe. Marina and Chloe dated little more than a month, and both of them never have been happier.
"Salted caramel. Because it's so sweet just like you." With massive grin, Marina and Chloe went to ice cream shop hand in hand.
They enjoyed their ice cream while sitting under the tree. They fell into comfortable silence. Few minutes later, Marina suddenly felt Chloe stiff beside her.
"What's wrong?" Marina asked worriedly looking at Chloe. Chloe couldn't take her eyes off of what she saw. Marina slowly turned her head and followed Chloe's gaze. There, Chloe's parents was walking right in front of her.
Both of them couldn't say anything. They froze right there at their spot. Thankfully, her parents didn't saw them and passed by. In completely shocked phase, they both ran home as soon as her parents passed by them and forgot about the ice cream.
The front door flied open and two teenagers ran in. Brittany was surprised that they came back so soon. She thought they would enjoy more time out there with each other.
"Hey, guys. Why did you came back so soon?" Brittany asked from where she was sitting. Marina mouthed her that she will tell her later and went up stair with Chloe. Confused, Brittany just sat on the couch and started to worry about what could have happened.
Mean while, in up stair, Chloe and Marina cuddled on Marina's bed. Chloe rested her head on Marina's chest and Marina rested her arm around Chloe's waist. After few minutes of silence, while playing with black hair, Chloe started the conversation.
"I didn't think I would meet my parents at the park." Chloe said, still shocked at what happened.
"I didn't think about it either. What should we do? Should we tell my parents and discuss about what to do?" Marina asked. Marina had no clue what to do, and neither was Chloe.
"I don't know. I think it's best if we talk to your parents. I have completely no idea." Chloe said. She wanted to be with her parents like she did before she came out. Even though they cut her out of their life, it wasn't easy to just stop loving them.
"I understand. We should ask their opinions." Marina said as she stared into those mesmerizing green eye. She couldn't help but smile at her. "But after we cuddle for few minutes more." Marina added. Laughing, Chloe looked up and leaned closer to her.
"Of course." Chloe whispered against her lips with little space between them. Finally, Chloe softly captured her lips. After few minutes of kissing, they decided to head down stair. Down stair, Brittany waited teenagers worried about them. When she heard foot steps, she turned around and met with Marina and Chloe. Since Justin and Santana went somewhere, it was just Brittany in the house. She wished Santana was here beside her telling her to stop worrying and it will probably nothing.
"Mom? We want to talk about something." Marina said as both of them now sat on the couch. Brittany nodded with anxiety.
"So, what happened is we were enjoying our ice cream date like usual. And suddenly Chloe's parents was walking by us. They didn't saw us thankfully. But it's her parents and we can't avoid them forever. What should we do?" Marina asked. Her moms were always expert when it came to advises. Though two have completely different style. Brittany thought about it for a moment. What should they do?
"I was there when your mom got disowned by her abuela. I went to change her opinion before my wedding. It wasn't me who changed her mind completely but since then and until she passed away, she had a good relationship with Santana. People change. So I suggest you to meet your parents. Also, you can't avoid them forever without even talking to them. It's your parents after all. You will always love them." Brittany said. "But maybe you should ask Santana too. She's super smart." Brittany added with a proud smile.
Marina and Chloe nodded in agreement. After that, they just all cuddled in the couch and waited for Santana and Justin to come home.
About a hour later, Santana and Justin came home with a big smile. But when they noticed the air, their smile turned into worried face.
"What's wrong? God, if any of you got pregnant, I will kick your sorry ass and go all Lima Heights on you." Santana growled with serious face. Marina and Chloe's eyes widened in shock.
"What? I will never cheat on Chloe. How could you doubt our faithfulness?" Marina said angrily at her mom. Santana's face softened at her daughter's word.
"Sorry. I didn't mean it like that. Of course I don't think you guys will ever cheat on each other. You guys love each other too much to do that. I just thought there was no other explanation. You guys are all serious and normally when I come home, you guys are all grinning and laughing." Santana said. Brittany could understand her wife "So what is going on?" Santana added.
"They saw Chloe's parents when they ate ice cream at the park. They don't know what to do, so they asked me for advise. I gave them advise but I think it's good to hear your opinion too." Brittany calmly explained. Santana nodded in understanding.
"I understand now. I'm really sorry for what I said earlier." Santana said as she looked at the teenagers. Santana was caught off by surprise when Marina and Chloe hugged her, but she hugged them back with much as passion.
"I got disowned by my abuela like you guys know. She came around at my wedding day when Sue persuaded (more like blackmail) her. If it wasn't Sue, she might never came around. So I think you need someone to change your parents opinion other than you guys. If you guys talk to Chloe's parents, the adult won't even try to see the world correctly because they think you guys are wrong. I think me and Britt have to talk to your parents, Chloe." Santana said after they broke the hug.
"I thought about it, and I think San is right. I went to her abuela's house to change her mind. If it was Santana who knocked on her door, she would've kicked her out again." Brittany said. Marina and Chloe turned their head and stared into each others eyes. When their eyes met, the answer was clear.
"Okay. You can meet my parents. I trust you." Chloe said smiling to Santana and Brittany. Chloe and Marina went up stair and Santana and Brittany stayed cuddled on the couch.
"Well, how about we go to your parents house tomorrow? It's already late so we'll go next morning." Santana said and Brittany hugged her.
"You're so smart." Brittany whispered to her ear. Santana laughed.
"Says the genius who MIT wanted desperately?" Santana said as she laughed harder. Brittany playfully pouted at her wife.
"Don't pout, genius." Santana said and she leaned in and kissed the pout away. As soon as she felt Santana's lips on hers, the pout was long gone and it was quickly replaced by bright smile.
"I love you smart lady." Brittany whispered against her lips
"I love you genius." Santana whispered and kissed her again.
…
Meanwhile, in the up stair, Chloe and Marina cuddled on Marina's bed. Marina ran her finger tips along Chloe's arm.
"Are you nervous that my parents are meeting your parents tomorrow?" Marina asked. That made the other girl laugh.
"That sounds like we're getting married or something." Chloe said and Marina started laughing too.
"Okay, but seriously. How are you feeling?" Marina asked after the laughter subsided.
"I don't know. I just hope my parents come around again and accept me and love me for who I am." Chloe said with shrug. Marina sighed.
"I hope that too. Well, let's go to bed now. Tomorrow will be a long day." Marina said and turned off the light.
"Goodnight, Marina."
"Goodnight, Chloe."
