An alternate ending to Lord of the Flies.

This is an alternate ending to the famous book by William Golding. When Piggy is recued by Ralph from being crushed by the boulder, they become closer as friends and plan to win over Jack's army to their side again, but Jack refuses to give in. Will he leave his new life behind or is he doomed to follow evil?

Jack growled low in his throat and he grit his teeth, "Wake 'em and teach 'em never to fall asleep on duty again." He fell silent for a moment before speaking again, "Put Maurice on fire watch f'r a bit when you take care o' Samneric."

A LOTF Fanfic. What if Ralph had not rushed the line? What if these boys were not rescued until after the war? What if the constant clash between order and savagery meant so, so much more? The story continues in an alternate, "what if" ending.
