Chapter 7: Unwanted Interest
"Jon? JON?!" Her voice was heard by the near unconscious werewolf.
He only barely was able to open his eyes to see a familiar pair of green eyes looking into his, seeing the concern in them.
"Fe...licia?" He asked weakly before becoming unconscious once more.
She could only sigh in relief that he was still alive before glaring towards both the vampire and the zombie in front of her.
"You two are going to pay for what you did!" She shouted.
"You are too weak to defeat me, Felicia..." The vampire mocked
"Come to play, kitty cat?!" Lord Raptor taunted.
Before he could use his guitar, he felt a kick to his head that knocked him off his feet.
Once he got off the ground, he saw who it was.
"Perhaps you would require a different kind of playmate?" Hsien-Ko asked as she readied herself for battle, her sister a talisman on her face to keep her in check.
Raptor grinned at the sight of her.
"Ello love…"
Hsien-Ko could only grimace at this disgusting man's interest in her.
"I shall deal with this disgusting creep, you deal with Demitri." She says to Felicia.
''Got it..."Felicia said before turning to face her foe.
"Come to give yourself up to me?" Demitri asks.
"Not a chance!" Felicia shouted.
She came charging at Demitri on all fours.
In the chamber
BB Hood held the knife in her hand, twirling it with a smile that was both lustful and violent.
"Well… how to handle this?" She asked herself.
"You could get lost?" Danny suggested.
It wasn't wise as BB then proceeded to use the knife and swung it at him.
"Come closer, it won't hurt for long! Stand still and I'll give you a kiss!" BB said in a flirty/vicious way.
Danny gulped but retained his glare.
"Yeah, no thanks…" He says.
However, to his dismay, BB Hood then charged at him, this time with something else in her basket.
"Let me make things tighter between us!" She said as she grabbed an arm.
''What are you-" Danny couldn't finish as the insane blonde elbowed him in the face before taking his other arm.
With Danny's hands wrapped up, BB took advantage of him being unable to use them to punch.
She kicked him into the wall.
"I can still-" Danny raised his arms to fire, only for the energy to fizzle out. "Uh oh…"
"It's that crap I hit you with. Looks like most of your powers are dulled out for a while." BB pointed out.
As she inched closed, Danny tried to pull back despite the wall.
"Any chance you wanna wait on the other side of the room?" Danny questioned.
"Aww… what's wrong? Don't tell me you're shy around cute girls?" She cooed playfully.
"No, just cute girls who aren't psychopaths…" He said.
"Oh, so I am cute, huh?" She said.
Danny sent her a glare but to his dismay, her expression went from sadistic to lustful.
I don't like where this is going... Danny thought as the crazy blonde began to push him into the wall.
"Wanna make out? Or go a little further?" She asks.
Danny winced at that.
"Uh… I'm 14." He answers.
"So am I, and I've been smoking since I was 12." She points out.
Danny made a face.
"I'm guessing that's why your voice deepens…" He says.
Danny cringed as BB then began to giggle again.
"Even with those freaky powers of yours, I think I could use someone like you. And not just to hunt, I got human needs after all. Why not join me? I'll let you have your cut, 60-40, with me making up for the missing 10." BB Hood says with a grin as she lightly brushes her knuckles on his face, making him wince.
"Frankly, Ms. Hood… the idea of you being my prom date makes my skin crawl…" He says.
BB frowned before she act playful again.
"I think we can have… fun!" She says that last word with her deep voice.
"About as fun as needing to pee on a 8 hour road trip…" Danny muttered.
Suddenly, he felt a punch to his face. It was by a furious looking BB Hood.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY PUNK?! I'M ACTUALLY CONSIDERING NOT STABBING YOU SO... BE NICE!" She shouted, those last words in her deep voice. She glared hatefully before her face became the cutesy look with eyes closed and a smile that was somehow more terrifying than her gritted teeth snarl. "Sorry… mood swing. I guess this is something I should get used to… it at least keeps things exciting." BB added, her eyes opening, showing a rather terrifying, almost possessive look in them.
Great… I'm the first boy she likes and she's somehow the least human girl I've ever met… Danny though miserably.
"Maybe this will change your mind about that prom date idea." BB Hood said as she took advantage of Danny being unable to fight back by holding his face and coming in for a kiss.
Danny struggled to get away, but before her lips reached, the sound of an explosion caught their attention.
They both looked up as BB got annoyed and pulled away from Danny.
"What the hell?!"
While she was distracted, Danny looked down at her floor and noticed something. It was a shard of glass.
That must've been from the bottle she threw at me… He thought.
He thought fast when she wasn't looking and reached in for it before BB could look back at him.
"Damn… I guess that werewolf woke up… I better go. First, a good luck kiss…" She says putting her hands on his face kissing him as expected.
NOT AGAIN! The ghost kid thought.
Danny closed his eyes and tried to block out what was happening.
Just let her do this, don't let her see the shard. He thought, wanting her as far away as possible.
It was easier said than done.
Once she was satisfied, BB let go and pulled away, winking at him.
"Wish me luck!" She said in that fake cute voice before skipping off, going up the stairs.
Once she was gone, Danny spat the feeling of her kiss out and began using the shard on the ropes she used.
"I'm coming, Jon." He says under his breath.
On the rooftop
Felicia tried to claw her opponent, but Demitri evaded each swipe with ease.
"Try as you might, you are too low in class to be a threat to me." He says nonchalantly.
"Don't be so sure!" She snarls.
However, the vampire wasn't afraid.
She attempted to hurt her foe with a Rolling Buckler, but Demitri was able to push her back, causing her to slide on the rooftop.
Demitri only scoffed as he casually walked towards Felicia.
Before she could get up and actually fight back, Felicia tried to swat away Demitri's hand as it came close to her neck. He pulled his hand back but when Felicia tried swatting it again, Demitri grinned and grabbed her by the neck.
He pulled her up, lifting her feet off the floor as she swung her legs feebly to reach the ground.
Demitri could only smirk as she tried to break free.
"I can see you are not as weak as the rest. For a beast of a woman, you are quite fetching. Perhaps I should spare you by making you one of my many maidens…" He says with an almost lecherous grin.
Felicia could only grimace.
"I'd rather you drain me dry…" She managed to say while trying to pull his hand off.
Demitri only scoffed.
"If death is your preferred fate… then your chosen idea of Hell it is!"
As he brought Felicia closer, she tried harder to pry herself free. Demitri aimed for the area of her neck that meets her shoulder, intending to bite her there.
However, before he could, something flew in and kicked him in the head. The impact of her foot caused Demitri to let go of Felicia and send him several feet back.
Once shaking his head free of the pain, he heard her voice.
"Now now, Demitri… you should know better than to make such a bold move. At least buy the girl dinner first…" Someone with a Scottish accent went.
Demitri recognized that voice. He turned his head and saw who it was. Someone he was very familiar with.
"Morrigan Aensland…" He said in a low growl.
Morrigan only crossed her arms and gave a playful smile.
"Fancy seeing you here of all worlds…" She says as she helps Felicia up..
Demitri wiped his face of the drool that came from the impact of her kick. He only gave a small laugh as the two stood their ground against him.
"I don't know how you two got to this world… but you will regret it. Unless, of course, you have changed your mind about my offer, Morrigan." Demitri says.
She scoffed.
"Your suggestion of ending the feud between our clans? Sorry, but I'm in no hurry to settle down… especially with the likes of you." She says.
Felicia's hostile look lowered upon hearing that.
"Wait… what?"
"He wants me to be his bride, an easier access to gaining the throne to the Makai Realm." She says with a notable frown. "As if I would ever want the likes of him to near my bedroom."
"You'd rather lay with humans than someone more your speed?" Demitri asks, notably disgusted. "Not only that, but you've never taken a human life…"
"Only because I find their dreams more delicious and humans are more fun to spend time with. Besides, they make some fascinating things. Have you ever had macaroni and cheese? It's delicious." Morrigan states.
"We're going off topic here…" Felicia adds.
"Oh… right…" Morrigan goes before flying at Demitri.
"Here we go…" Demitri says with a smile.
The succubus and catwoman launched their assault on Demitri.
"Rolling Scratch!"
"Shadow Blade!"
Unfortunately, Demitri turned into bats and evaded their attacks.
Once he turned back, Felicia and Morrigan spotted him and attacked once more.
Morrigan flew in with a kick, but Demitri blocked with his arm.
Fortunately for Felicia, she saw an opening and slashed at his torso.
He hissed in pain a moment and pulled back, holding his chest from the cuts Felicia caused.
However, he only scoffed.
"Congratulations, you managed to land a successful blow. I'll have to respond in kind."
He fired his Chaos Flare at the two, but they both successfully avoided by going in opposite directions.
"I'll strike above! You hit below!" Morrigan shouted to Felicia.
"Got it!" Felicia went.
As this went on, Hsien-Ko was dealing with her unwanted admirer.
Lord Raptor swung his guitar, but she caught it with her claws.
This gave him the opportunity to get a bit too close to comfort, almost at the level of kissing her.
"C'mon, Sweetheart… a new world for us to have some fun in? While we're at it, give us a kiss?" He asks.
"Not a chance…" She responds.
"Any chance you got time to show me any new moves?" Raptor asks.
Hsien-Ko responded with a kick to the zombie's stomach, launching him to the edge of the building.
"You decayed pig!" Hsien-Ko shouted.
As his arms were dangling in the air, he could only grin at her fighting prowess.
"What a woman…" He said dreamily before the fangs on his torso extended and pierced on the concrete roof, pulling him back towards Hsien-Ko, who charged at him before she started spinning like a top, her claws aimed to maim him.
Raptor used his guitar to block her claws before pushing her away. She flipped back before using her Tenrai Ha technique, throwing a heavy anvil from her sleeve towards Raptor, who quickly dodged it, followed by spiked balls raining down at him.
Raptor used his Death Hurricane to deflect the balls back to Hsien-Ko, who suddenly pulled out a black, gong bell to deflect the spike balls back to Raptor, who jumped to the side before jumping towards her with his Loudness Screw, turning into a spinning drill of sharp bones.
Hsien-Ko threw a chain from her sleeves and used it to swing into the air to dodge Raptor's attack before swinging back towards him, swinging her other arm in a circular motion, her claws aimed at him. She managed to hit him, causing him to fly a few feet in the air. She quickly landed and rushed below him before she started spinning like a blender.
Raptor saw her and quickly copied her with his Death Hurricane attack, spinning like a top to move away from her attack before changing directions and clashing with her, her claws and his bones making sparks. The two then flew apart, stumbling on the ground before they regained their footing.
"C'mon, Baby." Raptor said as the two circled each other. "You saw the sparks between us. Besides, we're both undead. Who else would want to date you?"
"I'm sure I can find someone better than you," Hsien-Ko commented.
"Oh please." Raptor taunted. "You've met every Darkstalker like us, but none of them are interested in you."
"Maybe I'll find someone here." Hsien-Ko said, looking for an opening.
As she fought her unwanted admirer, another was watching.
BB Hood made it to the stairway leading to the rooftop, peeking out and see what's going on and grinned to herself.
"Goody… more monsters to play with."
Before she could get out further, someone grabbed her by the ankles and pulled her back before slamming her into the floor.
"As much as I want you out of my house, I'm not letting you hurt my friend!" Danny shouted.
BB Hood scoffed.
"Can't get enough of me, huh? Well, if you want to play more, you should've said something!"
She pulled out her blade and thrusted it at him, causing Danny to move to his left, grabbing her wrist.
"This is your idea of showing a boy you like him? With stab wounds?" Danny asks.
"You're cute and can take a punch… so yeah. Still wanna dance?" BB asks in her cutesy voice before doing a fake curtsy.
Danny noticed something fell from her skirt that she kicked in his way. He realizes fast it's a grenade.
He reacts fast by firing an ice beam and freezing it completely in a block.
It went off, thankfully the ice shielded from both the blast and the shrapnel. Smoke came out, but that was it.
"Phew…" Danny went.
"Aww… you took care of it. Oh well, this means I gotta find other ways to play with you." She says in that childish voice that Danny finds more unsettling than her growly voice.
"Play with this!"
Danny punches her with enough force to send her down the stairs, tumbling.
He gasped, not wanting to go far and knowing the risk of tumbling down stairs.
However, as he got to the top, he saw BB back on her feet, stretching her neck and cracking her back.
"DAMN! Can't say this isn't exciting, that's for sure. You definitely keep me on my feet!" She says crudely.
Danny could only blink in utter shock as she didn't seem remotely harmed. His punch, followed by the falling down stairs, should have injured her more, yet she treated it as being hit with a soccer ball during a friendly match.
"What… are you?" He asks.
"I'm just a girl! Little old me!" She says in that cutesy tone again before pulling her blade out and running up the stairs for Danny. "Well, don't let me out of your sight!"
Danny raised a shield to keep her away. However, she started slashing at the shield to break it free.
"Just so you know, that stuff you hit me with is already wearing off. Probably because I'm half-ghost. In any case, since you can take a punch, I'll just hold back less!" He shouted.
"Me? But I'm pretty and petite!" She said, giving that same inhuman adorable look in her eyes despite the weapon she held.
"You're pretty alright… pretty insane and pretty terrifying." Danny mutters.
"Aww… thank you." She goes, actually flattered from that instead of insulted.
Rolling his eyes, Danny lowered the shield to fire at her, knocking her to the ground floor again.
Normally, he never goes this far with a human, but this girl's physiology is so inhuman that she was someone he can be less gentle with. He had no interest in being gentle with her.
She got back on her knees, readying another of her guns.
Danny fired the weapon out of her hands. He flew to the floor and landed gracefully before doing a "come at me" motion with his hand.
BB only grinned as she got back on her feet, intending to win the old fashioned way.
Back on the rooftop
Meanwhile, Morrigan landed on a nearby rooftop, breathing heavy as Demitri was equally as tired.
However, he still had to say this.
"I must commend you, Aensland. You are an amazing fighter." Demitri compliments.
Felicia was next to Morrigan, looking even more tired as she clutched her arm.
"I can't keep this up…" She says.
Morrigan sent her a look, she knew Felicia should step aside.
"Go keep Jon protected. I'll handle this…"
Seeing no way of arguing, Felicia nodded and headed to Jon, hopping back to the Fenton's rooftop for her friend.
Demitri only smirked.
"So, it's just us?" He asks.
"Don't get your hopes up…" Morrigan said, not with her usual flirty attitude with men.
"It's not too late. We can rule this world and the Makai together…" Demitri offered.
"You're handsome… but not interested. I'm not the committing type… and I don't share your love for taking lives." Morrigan states.
"Then you shall suffer!"
Demitri flew in, intending to defeat her.
He fired his Chaos Flare.
"Let's hurry this up. I just got a retro console with a few games the other night that I wanna try." Morrigan said as she dodged and deflected his attacks.
"Humanity has infected you…" Demitri says with a dirty look.
"I like to think of them as more than just a race I could eat. I'm basically a farmer, I only take what I need and leave them be." Morrigan says. "Now then… Soul Fist!"
She threw her punch, which launched a bat-shaped energy that went flying at Demitri.
"Chaos Flare!" Demitri shouted as he fired.
The attacks collide and explode.
In the smoke, the two flew at each other and sent a flurry of punches to the other.
Morrigan was able to gracefully avoid an attack, twirling like a ballerina, and kick her foe in the back.
Demitri was not done, he turned around and sent a punch to her stomach, managing to make her fall back to the rooftop.
Demitri then attempted to stomp on her head, but Morrigan rolled out the way in time.
''You cannot defeat me, succubus. Clearly, Belial made a poor choice in his successor." Demitri mocked as he sent more attacks.
Why couldn't that drunken idiot accidently send Jon to a world of 90% garlic? Morrigan thought angrily.
Inside the living room
"HA!" BB Hood shouted as she jumped at Danny, throwing a kick to his chest.
This knocked him down. He reacted by grabbing her ankle and swinging her onto the floor.
"Get off!" Danny shouted.
She looked over her shoulder then kicked him in the face to make him let go.
"Looking up my skirt?! Perv!" She cracked with a grin.
"Believe me, you are the last girl I'd have thoughts on that. My only thoughts are to get you as far away from my world as possible." Danny said as BB Hood struck her arm out and he blocked it. "Seriously, if you want, I can introduce you to a friend of mine who turns into a dragon. I'm sure he'd say no and set you on fire if I hope for it."
She did not answer, instead she kept throwing punches at Danny that he continued blocking them.
He swung his fist once he found an opening, but she ducked away in time.
Before Danny could blast her, he felt her knee suddenly connect with his chin.
BB Hood jumped up and used her right knee to attack him.
She had a grin on her face as she saw Danny back away, cupping his chin to soothe the pain.
How do I get rid of this psychopath? Danny thought.
She pulled out her blade once more.
"Again with the knife? Don't you got anything else?" Danny asks, annoyed with this again.
"If you want, I can use a mace on you if I can knock you out and take you home with me!" She says.
As he ducked from her knife, one idea hit him.
That can work… He thought.
She swung the blade downward, causing Danny to block with both hands in time.
"Ha!" He went before BB saw an opening.
After BB kicked him in the chest again, landing him on the wall, he then morphed back to human form.
She scoffed.
"You're getting tired out… fine, the black-haired Danny will look just as good as my prize." She says before running towards him, blade stuck out.
Here we go… He thought.
She thrusted her weapon out.
Her eyes on Danny's face, making a pained reaction, she heard the blade hit the wall. She had a mildly disappointed look on her face.
"Darn… I was so looking forward to more… oh well…"
As she gave a mildly playful smile, Danny's pained reaction was replaced with a cocky grin.
"I wasn't…"
"Huh?!" She went, looking down at her blade.
Her hand went right through his torso, which was intangible. Her machete was buried into the wall.
With his attacker surprised, Danny phased right through her. Once past her, he pushed her into the wall. Then he stepped back and morphed once more.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" She shouted before trying to pull her weapon out.
Once the blade was out and she turned to attack, Danny fired a blue beam below her feet.
"Watch your step!" He goes.
He created a sheet of ice under one foot that caused her to slip. As she fell forward, Danny swung his fist right into her face.
The impact sent her flying back into the wall, dropping her weapon.
As she slid down, landing on her knees, she had enough consciousness to see a victorious Danny smiling mockingly at her.
She actually laughed a bit.
"Nice one…" She says before falling face down, knocked out.
Danny sighed in relief as his shoulders drooped down. That's when he remembered a friend needed help.
"Jon!"
On the rooftop
Morrigan swung a kick, but Demitri ducked out of the way.
"Hold still!" Morrigan shouted.
However, before she could do anything, Demiri grabbed her around the neck.
"You should have taken my offer… perhaps waking to find your allies dead will convince you?" Demitri asks.
Before Demitri could choke her into unconsciousness, something attacked.
"Shining Blade!"
Something slashed him in the back, causing him to hiss in pain as he let Morrigan go.
As she landed on the rooftop, pushing herself up, her savior landed in front of her.
"Lilith?" She asks.
"Sorry… it took me a while to find you all after we split up." Lilith said as she helped her up. "Kinda thought you were either hitting on local men or finding an ice cream shoppe."
Morrigan rolled her eyes.
"I'll ignore that last part. In any case… keep an eye on Felicia and Jon, they don't look so good. Maximoff is mine."
''Got it..."
Morrigan then went to resume her fight with Maximoff.
Meanwhile, the undead still fought.
"What's wrong? Don't tell me you're not interested in having a little fun! There might be ghosts in this world, but nothing like us Darkstalkers!" Raptor states.
"I'd rather date one of these supposed ghosts if they can outdo you in battle.
Raptor was about to retort before he remembered the Ghost Boy who beat him, causing him to hesitate. Hsien-Ko noticed his hesitation, making her both curious and seeing a chance to distract him.
"He… stopped?" Her sister's voice asked in her head.
"What? Is there someone here?" She asked, looking closely at Raptor.
"No! No one like us is here!" Raptor exclaimed in an almost panicked voice. "I can't let her know about this Phantom kid. After all, if he manages to make that lunatic Hood fall for him, he might do the same to Hsien!" He whispered.
"I don't believe you." Hsien-Ko said, noticing his inner dilemma, smirking a little. "Whoever this guy is, he sure has you scared."
"I'm not scared of that Phantom punk!" Raptor exclaimed before he realized his slip up.
"Phantom?" Hsien-Ko said, noticing his panic. "I see…Whoever this Phantom is must be a strong fighter…maybe handsome too."
"No, he's not!" Raptor exclaimed. "If that psychopath Hood is into him, then there's no way he's handsomer than me!"
As he was ranting, he didn't notice Hsien-Ko throwing a big bomb from her sleeves, which had a face on it as it tiptoed towards him. By then time he calmed down, he heard a ticking sound. He looked around and his eye sockets widened when he saw the bomb going red. The bomb exploded, sending Raptor towards Hsien-Ko, who slammed her hands to the ground, causing giant blades to pop out below him and sent him flying off the roof.
Raptor landed on the ground, unconscious and covered in burns and scratches. Hsien-Ko walked to the
"Like I said, you're not my type." She said as she jumped off the roof.
As she approached the unconscious zombie, she heard the voice of her sister.
"Don't forget to put it on him…" She heard in her head.
"Right… right…"
She pulled out a paper talisman and placed it on Raptor's head.
"That should do it…" Her sister's voice went inside her.
"Finally… damn, his voice was annoying." She mutters as she used her supernatural power to jump back to the rooftop.
She approached Felicia, who was tending to Jon.
"Jon? Wake up, please." She begged.
Before Hsien-Ko could say something, someone interrupted her since that's when Danny phased out of the rooftop, seeing Jon surrounded by two he's not familiar with.
"Whoa!" He raised his arm, charging a blast in case. "Who are you?!"
Hsien-Ko, though worn out, stood her ground. As did Felicia, who stood in front of the unconscious werewolf protectively and hissed.
"Keep away from Jon-Jon!" She went.
"Jon-Jon?" Danny asks. That's when he recalled something and lowered his arm. "Wait… are you Felicia?"
Felicia's look softened.
"You know me?"
Jon groaned awake as he saw Danny standing with Hsien-Ko and Felicia staring him down.
"Wait… wait!" He called out.
"I got this!" A certain female demon shouted as she flew in from behind Danny.
"Huh?" Danny went, turning his head.
That's when he felt a pair of hands cup his face and a pair of lips on his own.
Lilith was kissing him, but for a different reason than Danny's been kissed recently.
As an Aensland succubus, albeit a sort of clone, Lilith is able to drain life energy from someone. She never drains very much, at best about 5%, enough for the person to still go about their day. That's still enough to momentarily tire them out and make them easier to fight.
Danny could only watch in wide-eyed shock as this girl out of nowhere kissed him while feeling something leaving his body. He felt like he was growing tired, getting weaker.
Seeing this, Jon fought through the pain and got up.
"NO! DON'T!" He called out, much to the surprise of his friends.
Instantly then, Lilith's eyes widened as she pulled back from the kiss, staring at Danny.
Danny only watched with mild shock at this girl who was just now kissing him and doing something else he couldn't recognize.
"What wa-"
His question was cut off as someone flew in and backhanded him off the building. Due to feeling drained just now, he hit the ground and morphed back to human form. Conveniently, he was near an unconscious Q-Bee, who had a paper talisman on her face.
That person was Demitri Maximoff who backhanded him.
"Nicely done for a cheap knockoff… that boy got on my nerves." Demitri says in faux-gratitude.
Before Lilith could snap at that comment he made of her, the vampire backhanded her too.
"OW!" 'She yelled.
"Get away from my sister!" Morrigan shouted as she flew towards Demitri.
She wanted to destroy him. She swung her leg. Unfortunately, Demitri blocked her attack.
"Sister?!" He scoffed. "She's not even real!"
Morrigan looked furious at that.
"Take! That! Back!"
She tried to use her Soul Fist, but Demitri pushed her.
Before Demitri could attack, Hsien-Ko placed a talisman on his face, causing him to pause.
"Gotcha!" Hsien-Ko shouted.
It took a moment, but everyone realized he was stone still.
"What did you just do?" Morrigan asks.
Hsien-Ko took the talisman off, which then jumped out of her hands and returned to being her sister.
"Something I've been working on." Mei-Ling answered. "We used it on Q-Bee before stepping in, then on Raptor while he was distracted by my sister."
"Don't remind me…" Hsien-Ko pouted with her arms crossed.
Felicia helped Jon up.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"Yes… but… how did you get to another world?" He asks.
She responded with a cat smile.
"You should know there's no barrier I won't breach to save you." She responded.
Despite the pain in his body, Jon sighed with a smile.
"I can take it from here… my wounds are almost healed." He says as he pulls her arm off of Felicia's shoulder.
The rest just watch in mild amusement.
"No, don't stop because you got friends watchin'." Morrigan went.
Jon scoffed at that before that word registered to her.
"Friends?" He then gasped when he remembered. "Danny!"
He ran towards the edge of the building, seeing the unconscious Danny and jumping down, ignoring the pain in his legs.
The rest watched from over the rooftop.
"Wait, who is Danny?" Morrigan asked the cat woman.
Felicia only shrugged.
Jon lightly pressed a claw on Danny's back, causing the boy to groan while out cold. He sighed in relief.
"He's still alive. He must've morphed after hitting the ground…"
Hsien-Ko carried her sister as she used her Jiangshi abilities to land safely.
Lilith and Morrigan used their wings, the latter carrying Felicia and letting her down gently.
"Jon? Who is that? And where is that boy with the white hair?" The cat person asks.
"Yes, I sensed something… not bad about him." Lilith says with an odd look on her face.
"Not bad?" Morrigan asks.
"Like… I sensed no evil yet there was also something not entirely human." Her "sister" clarified.
"They're the same." Jon says, noticing the lost looks on their faces. "I'll explain later. Question: how long do those talismans last?"
"For Raptor and Q-Bee, 4 hours. As for someone as powerful as Demitri, 1 at the very least." Mei-Ling answered.
Jon sighed as he picked the unconscious superhero up and carried him over his shoulder.
"I owe this kid. He kept me safe from Raptor and BB Hood and helped nurse me back to health, time I returned the favor…"
