Chapter 8: A Moment to Relax
As he heard that Ben's date with Sailor Mercury finished, Danny led the girls to where the portal will open.
"Well, I'm glad you two enjoyed your time…" Danny said.
The two Sailor Guardians smiled.
"We're glad you showed us around your world. It's also so cool to learn about another world." Sailor Jupiter says.
Sailor Venus nodded.
"So… your world isn't that different from ours, only more… uh… stylized." Venus says.
"Stylized?" Danny asks.
"I can't really find a better word for it." She admits.
"Yeah, it kinda felt different..." Jupiter admitted.
"Uh… okay." Danny went.
She then looked at Danny again and smiled.
"Still, I wanna thank you..." The tall girl said, looking at him with a smile.
"No thanks are necessary…" Danny said.
To his surprise, Sailor Jupiter got bold and took a step forward. The tall girl then kissed Danny, much to his surprise and Venus's anger.
"HEY!"
Once she pulled away, she smiled.
"Sorry, it's just that... you're cute..." She said with a smile.
Danny turned bright red and had his mouth hanging open, unsure what to say.
Venus, meanwhile, looked jealous.
"No fair! I think he's cute too!" She goes.
Jupiter rolled her eyes.
"Well... you should have said something sooner." She said and Venus looked even more jealous.
"Yeah? Well, he's not your boyfriend so…"
Danny got nervous.
"Uh, Ms. Ve-"
"What do you think of this?!"
Venus pulled Danny in and kissed him, to his shock and Jupiter's annoyance.
"This isn't a contest, Minako… besides, I'm sure he liked my kiss better." She says with her arms crossed.
"I beg to differ!" Venus said.
"Maybe let him decide?" Jupiter asked.
Venus nodded before turning to Danny.
"Which do you think was better? Remember to say it's me!" Venus says with a wink.
"Or me." Jupiter said, winking too.
Danny just stared at the two girls, bright red in the face from being kissed on the lips by them.
Wow… He thought.
A portal opens.
"Well, there's our ride." Venus says as she walks to the open wormhole to their world.
"Yeah…" Jupiter then smiled at Danny with a blush. "Later, feel free to drop by."
Venus then ran in and got in their way to wave at Danny, much to Jupiter's annoyance
"To say "hi" to me, of course!"
"And spend more time with me" Jupiter said before winking at him.
"Uh… bye…" A bashful Danny went.
The girls both waved at him before going.
Once that was done, Danny found that the world around him faded away and was replaced with another.
And he was not alone here.
"Hi!" He heard a girl's voice go.
"Huh?"
Danny looked around.
"Up here…" He looked up and saw her.
A girl likely a year older or so, with tanned skin, brunette hair in some kind of ponytail and some strange pink outfit with red trimmings.
She was also really pretty.
"I'm Ty Lee… I'm guessing you're one of those strange people from other worlds… right?"
"Y-Yeah…" Danny responded, still a bit flustered.
She jumped out of the tree, landing perfectly in front of him.
She's kind of pretty… He thought.
That's when Danny noticed the environment changing again.
Before he could question it, he felt a pair of lips on his.
It was Ty Lee, who was kissing him.
"Bye! Thanks for spending time with me!" She said with a wink.
As he waved bye to Ty Lee, he turned to see that this world was now a familiar one. The world of a place called UA High.
Huh? Danny thought as he looked around.
That's when she saw him. A girl he had known only in passing from his usual trips to other worlds. A girl with pink skin and hair, horns and yellow eyes with black sclera.
And it somehow didn't detract from how attractive she was.
''Hello..." The girl said.
Before he could relive his memory of this cute girl with pink skin, everything went dark.
"Huh?" He asks, looking around in the darkness. "Where is everyone?" That's when he heard it, some kind of music. "Wait… is that a… piano?" He started to make out what the tune was. "Wedding music?"
As he shrugged, he looked down and noticed that he was in his human form and he was also in a tuxedo. As he was about to move around, he felt something strapped to his leg. Upon looking down, he gasped.
It looked like a cuff.
"What's going-" He was cut off as he felt it tug. Looking to where it came from, his face turned pale. "Oh no…"
He saw that it was Baby Bonnie Hood, holding the chain. She was in her red hood with her head down, but she wore something underneath that.
A wedding dress.
She raised her head and grinned terrifyingly.
"Come here, Hubby!" She pulled the chain.
Danny was pulled into her arms violently.
"NO!" Danny screamed as he tried to escape but couldn't.
"Time for you to kiss the bride!" She says before puckering up and pulling him closer.
"NO!" He screamed as he struggled to get out of her grip.
Danny was able to push himself out of her grasp before her lips could touch his. ''I gotta get out of here!" He said as he tried to leave before he was pushed to the ground.
"Trying to run away from your bride? And leave her with a baby? Some hero…" She jested with a devious smile.
As Danny was about to crawl away, he froze and his face turned white.
"Baby?" He asked in growing horror.
As if by magic, a stroller appeared next to them.
Danny paled at the sight of it.
He couldn't see the baby, but he could hear it. He heard its cry go from an appropriate sound, to something far more guttural and terrifying. A trait it shares with its supposed mother.
''W-what?" He let out in a trembling voice.
"Don't tell me you forgot? Come on now, don't you wanna be there for him? Teach him to play baseball or something when I'm not teaching how to slash throats?" She asks.
Danny, meanwhile, was sweating bullets.
"N-No way… there's no way that-"
"Anyway, I think..." BB Hood said before she started to walk closer as "Here Comes The Bride" plays in a very eerie tone..
As she inched closer and Danny pulled away, he felt something wet hit his face.
Getting up, he coughed. Water inserted into mouth quickly, causing him to wake up.
"What the heck?!" One he opened his eyes, he saw them.
It's one of the two people he saw on the rooftop, with an extra.
"I told you that you'd pour too much water…" Mei-Ling chastised.
"Oh, come on!" Hsien-Ko pouted.
"Maybe this would convince Raptor to leave you alone. Assuming you can have kids, you'd be terrible at it." Mei-Ling joked.
"Shut it!" Hsein-Ko shouted.
Danny only blinked before noticing he's in human form.
"Uh… who are you two?" He asks.
"We're friends of Jon, sort of. Sorry about upstairs, my sister can get carried away." Mei-Ling apologizes.
"You were there, you know that's not true…" Hsien-Ko mutters.
"You were?" Danny asks.
Mei-Ling answers by, in an instant, turning into the talisman on Hsien-Ko's face before changing back.
Danny only blinked in shock at that before hearing someone else come in.
"He's awake." Felicia called out.
Danny turned his head, seeing Felicia at the doorway to the kitchen, where Jon is seen walking in from with a piece of ham in his mouth.
"Sorry… noticed this was in the fridge, about to go to waste…" He says.
"Actually, I think that ham is already spoiled…" Felicia says with a grossed out look.
"Eh, I had worse…" Jon admits.
"Jon? Who are they? What happened?" Danny asks.
"Oh, come on!" Another female voice went.
Danny turned his head and saw her sitting at the stairs, playing a handheld game system.
She had green hair, wings on her head and back, and wore a skin-tight outfit that Danny had to remind himself not to stare and look away.
"And… who is that?"
His werewolf friend remembered that Danny didn't exactly introduce himself to them very well.
"Okay… in order…" Jon went before pointing to each one. "Felicia, the cat person… uh, literal cat person." Felicia smiled and nodded. "Hsien-Ko, a jiangshi, aka Chinese hopping vampire. Along with her sister, Mei-Ling, a priestess who becomes a talisman to keep her from going crazy in a fight." Both sisters waved. "Morrigan Aensland, the current queen of the Makai Realm, where Darkstalkers come from."
Morrigan put her game system away and flew to Danny. The ghost boy jolted up off the couch as she landed.
"Relax, little man. I won't harm ya…" She says.
Danny wasn't so sure, given the people's he's met today so far.
"Uh… what are you, exactly? A gargoyle?" Danny asks.
"Don't be ridiculous… I'm a succubus, a demon that feeds on human life energy or dreams…"
"You what?" Danny asks, dreading that part she mentioned.
"Don't worry… I won't harm ya. I'm the friendly kind." She insists.
"So she says…" The rest mutter in an annoyed tone.
The heir of the Makai glared at them.
"Huh?" Danny asks.
"Let's just say she has too much fun in a fight…" Felicia answers.
"O… kay?" Danny went.
"Trust me, I don't plan on doing anything to you. I like my men, well, over the age of 18." Morrigan insists.
Danny looked confused by that, but Felicia stepped in again.
"Most succubi of the Makai feed off energy by kissing. It's not instant like most think, but a sudden one can drain a person by 5%. That's what happened to you. Don't worry, you'll get it back soon with rest." She assures.
Hearing that, Danny got startled.
"Wait… did you kiss me?" Danny asks, sounding concerned.
"I just said I prefer my men in the age of consent. It's my sister that did it to you." Morrigan states.
"Sister?"
That's when a flush was heard and someone stepped out of the bathroom. She then flew from the second floor and into the living room.
"Sorry… I kind of wanted to know if the water flushes in the opposite direction here." Lilith said.
Danny got a good look at her, for the first time.
This girl had short purple hair, a red top and blue leggings with bat symbols. She looked like a younger Morrigan with different colors.
Lilith then noticed Danny staring.
"Uh… hi?" He goes.
"Oh… you're awake." Lilith went, blushing a little as she stood in a bashful manner. "I'm Lilith… sorry about earlier. If I knew you weren't a threat, I wouldn't have… done that."
Danny still looked uneasy
Unbeknownst to Lilith, Morrigan was smiling at how she was acting.
Well… I guess it was a matter of time before she met a human who caught her fancy. She thought.
"Wait… where are Demitri and the rest?" Danny asks, realizing that his world still had unwanted visitors.
"Don't worry, I put talismans on them. Raptor and Q-Bee should be a while, Demitri though, might be shorter. We even found Hood and tied her up before she woke up. I can only hope our ride gets here in time…" Hsien-Ko went.
"Your ride? What do-" Danny was cut off.
"We should probably put them somewhere they can't do harm, in case." Felicia says.
Putting aside the issue of their ride, Danny thought fast.
"I got an idea…" Danny says. "We can use the Weapon's Vault."
"You have a Weapon's Vault?" Jon asks.
"Yeah, didn't think it was necessary, but it should work." Danny says.
The Darkstalkers had some doubts when he said this, especially given who they're putting in there.
"Uh… you wanna put a zombie, a bee person, a teenage psychopath and a vampire in a weapon's vault? I'm sorry but… in this world, is the definition of a good idea different from ours?" Hsien-Ko questioned.
"Don't worry, the weapons are designed to work on ghosts. Even if they got a hold on them, I'm sure it should be less effective against all of you." Danny assures.
That didn't ease their doubts, especially the heir of the Aensland clan.
"Should be?" Morrigan asks.
"Uh… are we sure that's safe? I mean, didn't a malfunction of one of those things result in you being half-ghost?" Felicia asks.
Danny just raised an eyebrow.
"I kinda filled in gaps about what you are." Jon explained.
The ghost boy still had his brow raised before he sighed.
"I guess I should say thanks for not letting them do… whatever they would have done if they thought I was a bad guy." Danny said.
"You owe me nothing, I was just returning the favor." Jon said, holding a thumb's up.
Danny returned it before continuing with the conversation.
"So, where are the not-so-friendly visitors from your world?" Danny asks.
"Still on the roof, we even put BB Hood up there." Jon said.
"Good." Danny said, still shaken from what she tried to do.
"She tried to kill you too, huh?" Morrigan asks.
"Worse." Danny said.
"Worse?" Lilith asks.
Danny's eyes darted away and he shrunk back.
"I don't wanna talk about it…" He mutters.
The female Darkstalkers were all surprised, but not in a good way, at how quiet he was.
Jon chose to say nothing, figuring that BB Hood's sudden interest in him was pretty unsettling.
"He'll tell us when he's open to, we should focus on dealing with them first while we wait for this ride of yours." He says.
That got everyone to agree as Danny's mood lifted.
Mei-Ling then motioned to her sister and whispered into her ear.
"Well, this is that Phantom person Raptor was afraid of you meeting. Still wanna ask him out?" She joked.
Hsien-Ko rolled her eyes.
"He's 2 years younger… I'm not too sure."
Her sister smirked though.
"Well… nice boy, superhero from what I hear, he's more up your alley than Raptor." Mei-Ling pointed out.
"A literal dog is more up my alley than Raptor. Also, why are you suddenly eager to set me on a date?" Hsien-Ko asks.
"You're the one who complains about not getting a date." Mei-Ling snarks.
Hsien-Ko rolled her eyes at that.
"What are you two whispering over there?" Felicia asks.
Her voice caused Hsien-Ko to flinch and notice her sister's sneaky grin.
"NOTHING!" Hsien-Ko shouts, covering her sister's arm with her hand, which could leave her giant sleeve via magic.
The other's looked at her strangely but went back to the matter at hand.
"Come on, we better lock them away." Danny reminds everyone.
After a few minutes
Jon carried Raptor by the head while Felicia had him by the feet, which grossed her out.
"Why do I have his feet?" Felicia complained.
"Because Hsien-Ko doesn't want to be near him." Jon answered.
"Still don't get why I have his feet..." Felicia muttered.
Morrigan carried Q-Bee in the air by her shoulders as Hsien-Ko had BB Hood in her arms, also out cold.
Everyone was glad that she was.
So Danny led this group to the Weapon's Vault, with Lilith as company.
He is still uneasy, especially learning what she did to him.
"So… uh… that's why you… kissed me?" Danny asks.
"I wasn't trying to hurt you. Just weaken you a bit to knock you out, I swear! Not all are like me and my sister, unfortunately."
The ghost boy, though on edge, started to feel she was being sincere.
"It's okay…" Danny answers.
"Okay..." Lilith nodded, looking away, her cheeks turning pink.
As Lilith looked relieved, Morrigan had a rather approving look on her face.
That's when they reached the vault.
"This is it… let me open it."
He pressed buttons and used the DNA lock.
Once it opened, however, they saw three people looking tired from shouting and hitting the door.
"About time!" Sam went.
''Finally..." Tucker said, looking exhausted.
"What the heck happened here?" Danny asks.
"Bug Lady got out and locked us in here…" Jazz responded.
Before Tucker could speak up, he saw Lilith and, not noticing her wings, grinned and used his breath spray before approaching.
"Hi, I'm Tucker, Tucker Foley." He went, trying to be suave.
Lilith only gave a perplexed look.
"Morrigan? Why is he acting that way?" She asks.
Morrigan lets Q-Bee down and answers.
"He's what even the vilest and most hungry of our kind call "not worth our time." Neither as a food source or a date…" She says in a disapproving tone.
It was then the rest took notice of the other Darkstalkers.
The rest of Team Phantom panicked and raised their weapons.
"BACK OFF!" Sam shouts.
"GET AWAY FROM MY BROTHER, YOU MONSTER!" Jazz shouts while holding a blaster.
"... and Tucker." Sam adds.
"Right! Him too but my brother more!" Jazz says.
Danny steps in.
"Whoa! It's cool! Their Jon's friends! Sort of… they're here to get him home!" Danny insists.
Team Phantom heard this, seeing Jon was nodding to let them know they were okay.
After a moment, they lower their weapons.
"Okay then…" Sam goes.
After putting the villains inside the vault, everyone returned to the living room.
They touched base and were now up to speed. While Danny is mostly caught up, the rest of Team Phantom had comments.
"Fascinating…" Jazz went, having written everything she heard down.
"Cool..." Tucker said.
"Uh… Danny?" Sam whispers.
"Yeah?"
"Did they say they're succubi?" She asks, sending a scathing look at Lilith, who is busy speaking with Morrigan.
"Yeah… but look, they're not… evil. I guess some demons in some universes are… less bad?" He says, not entirely sure how to put it. "Besides, they're just here to get Jon home."
The girls were still cautious but nodded. Tucker, however, had his eyes on another.
"Cool… and I thought Lilith was a hottie…" Tucker whispered, staring at Felicia as she was talking with Jon.
"So… this other werewolf you fought, where did he come from?" She asks, referring the fight where he disappeared.
"No idea…" Jon says.
''Who is that cat girl, anyway?" Sam asked, trying not to draw attention.
Danny turned red and looked away.
"She's Jon's friend, remember?" He said, trying to ignore the look of her attire.
It was a little hard not to, given how revealing it was.
"Aren't you cold in that?" Jazz asks, getting her attention.
Felicia looked curious before realizing what she meant.
"Oh, this isn't an outfit, it's my fur." She responded.
Once that was said, both boys turned red.
"So… you're naked?" Tucker asks, grinning before Sam slaps him behind the head. "HEY!"
''Don't stare!" She yelled at him.
Felicia only stared blankly as Jon shook his head.
This was when Mei-Ling chose to be a pest for her sister.
"By the way, Danny, was it? Any chance you're single so my sister here can meet someone more her speed?" Mei-Ling asked in a light tone, to her sister's annoyance.
"SHUT IT!" Hsien-Ko snaps.
The ghost boy blushed and seemed a little awkward for a moment. He also noticed that Mei-Ling and Hsien-Ko were older than him.
"Uh… aren't I a little young for her?" Danny asks.
"We're 16." Mei-Ling said as Hsien-Ko pouted with her arms crossed.
That surprised the human teenagers.
"You're 16?!" Sam asks.
"I'm 16 and you're almost as tall as our mom!" Jazz went.
The eldest of the Chinese girls answered.
"Oh, it's because in a past life, we took on these appearances to avenge our mother. When we were reborn, we developed these powers again on our 16th birthdays. Hsien-Ko can even change back to human form. Show them, Sister."
''Fine..." The other female monster said.
In a flash, Hsien-Ko morphed, her blue skin turned normal flesh, her blush stickers disappeared and her outfit became more modern. Her figure also became less developed and was actually shorter than the 14 year olds.
Once done, she turned to her new allies.
Whoa… it's like how I go ghost… sort of. Danny thought.
"Nihao…" Hsien-Ko went.
Danny and Tucker stared.
"Dude… go for the Chinese Vampire, I'll get the girl with the bat wings off your back…" Tucker offered.
"I somehow doubt that…" Danny said.
"I think my sister can hop to it..." Mei-Ling quipped.
"Stop teasing around, Sis. He's 2 years younger and we're literally from different worlds…" Hsien-Ko states.
"And yet you can't get a date in our world..." Mei-Ling said, leading to Hsien-Ko grinding her teeth in irritation.
As Mei-Ling changed from a puff of smoke into her true human form, looking like a teenage-version of herself, Hsien-Ko stuck her tongue out at her sister and was about to walk away when she tripped.
She landed face first into the floor, tripping over the rug.
"Clumsy…" Mei-Ling teased.
Teenagers… Morrigan, Felicia and Jon thought in mild annoyance.
The werewolf decided to change the subject.
"We should probably get Demitri in too, just in case." Jon reminds.
The humans looked confused.
"Who?" Jazz asks.
"A vampire Jon and I were dealing with before the rest showed up." Danny answers.
''Vampire?" Sam questioned.
"Someone should go get him." Jon says
The ghost boy spoke up next.
"I'll go." Danny says.
"Lilith and I will come, just in case." Morrigan goes.
Only one had an issue, especially with how close Lilith was around Danny when she saw her.
"Uh, I don't think-" Sam was cut off by Jon holding a hand out.
"It's okay… he'll be fine." Jon assures.
With them going, someone saw an opportunity.
"So… while they're gone…" Jazz held her notepad up and grinned to the remaining Darkstalkers. "We'll start with you, Felicia."
Rooftop
Morrigan took Demitri by his feet.
"I'll take this part."
"Fine with me.." Jon says.
As Danny watched Jon and Morrigan pick Demitri up, he took a moment to notice Lilith's presence.
"By the way, why does your sister have a Scottish accent and you don't?" He asks, noticing how they speak.
"That's because she picked it up from spending her early days in Scotland. Also, I'm not really her sister, I'm more like a clone." She answers.
Danny took a moment before that registered to him.
"Wait, what?"
"I'm a part of her soul that was separated from her at a young age, brought to life." She explains. "I was being manipulated by a being named Jedah that I didn't realize was evil until he tried to basically commit human genocide and it was only then I realized he was using me to get what he wants, namely a powerful fighter."
Danny raised an eyebrow at that.
"Uh… when was this?"
"300 years ago." Danny did a double take when he heard that. "Our kind look like we're in our 20's for centuries. As for me, I didn't take form until 10 years ago. The reason I look like a teenager is because it's the age of the body that was made for me."
That kind of sounds like Danielle. Danny couldn't help but think.
As Danny and Lilith spoke more, Morrigan smiled and nodded.
"What are you doing?" Jon asks.
"Approving of her crush. She's part of my soul, I can sense it. This boy stood up for you despite you being from a different world, so I don't mind it." She says.
"You can play matchmaker later… let's get Demitri inside." Jon insists.
That's when a sudden gust of air came, making all of them shiver.
Jon closed his eyes to keep his fur out, Morrigan used a wing to cover her face, as did Lilith, while Danny covered his eyes.
"Great… it's windy tonight…" He muttered before a thought reached his head. "Windy… uh oh…"
He lowered his arms and looked to Demitri's face.
The talisman was flapping in the wind very wildly.
Uh oh… Danny thought.
He flew towards the frozen vampire.
"Jon! The paper!"
It took Jon a moment to realize what Danny saw, but when he looked down, he panicked as well.
"Oh, hell no!"
He had to use one hand to hold Demitri up as he tried to grab it.
"What are you-" Morrigan stopped when she saw the paper as well. "Oh no…"
They tried grabbing the paper, but it was too late.
One last grasp caused it to fly off.
They saw it fly off and head to Lilith.
"Hey? What's going o-" Lilith didn't finish in time as the talisman landed on her face, freezing her in place.
As Danny, Jon and Morrigan realized what just happened, they started to panic.
"Uh oh…" They went in unison.
Their eyes went to Demitri.
Once they looked at Demitri's face, the frozen expression became and angry, blood-chilling scowl.
"Unhand me!"
A burst of energy from Demitri knocked the three back.
Once they slid on the floor, Morrigan accidentally knocked Lilith down.
Once she sat up, she saw this and panicked.
"Lilith!" She pulled the talisman off, crushing it into a ball and avoiding her forehead. Once Lilith regained control, she saw her elder sister looking hurt.
"Are you okay? Quick, put me back inside so you'll be strong enough!" Lilith insists.
"If we did that... who knows how long it'll be before you can come out again." Morrigan points out as she holds onto her arm, which was injured a bit.
A roar caught their attention.
As Danny and Jon got up, they saw a very angry vampire looking down at them.
"You have made a grave mistake…"

I didn't know this until TheWhiteTitan suggested the idea of her liking Danny, Hsien-Ko and her sister are 16 years old and likely shorter than Danny.
Meantime, we have two big sisters wanting to play matchmaker.
Also, brief look at how Danny met other girls. It seems he has the unconscious power to attract girls outside his universe.
