Cora and Robert are spending their first Christmas Eve together as husband and wife. This story is informed by what Robert says in S1, "Not a year, not as long as that." and "It wouldn't have happened if not for Mary." This was written for the 2021 Downton Abbey Secret Santa exchange for AndAllThatMishigas. Rated M to be safe, but very, very light M.
