Chapter Eighteen: Unexpected

Silence.

Everything around him felt like it was moving in slow motion. His eyes never left the window, his sight was still set on the figure standing there watching. The sound of his heartbeat against his eardrums was almost loud enough to drive him insane. His mind began to race a mile a minute. How long was this person watching them have sex? There was also a flash so they must have been snapping photos during it until he had noticed. His jaw clenched as his body trembled in anger and he quickly jumped off Elvira, putting the blanket over her body to cover her up. Bakugo quickly got up and ran toward the window. He yanked up the blinds and slammed open the window. Only to see the person was running off. He slammed his hand against the window frame with a grunt. He could feel the cold sweat roll off his body as he growled underneath his breath.

"HEY!" A roar erupted from his throat. "Get back here you fucking pervert!"

"Katsuki?!" Elvira asked in a panic.

"Wait here!" Bakugo grabbed a pair of sweats and a shirt to quickly throw on.

"W-where are you going?" she panicked.

Bakugo quickly turned around to her. "Use my cell phone and call Kirishima. Tell him what just happened. I am going outside to see if they are still around."

"B-but Katsuki..." she tried to get off the bed but he shook his head.

"Honey, listen to me. Do what I say!" Bakugo growled.

"D-don't leave me alone." she panicked as she clenched the blanket.

"I need to go outside to make sure that the creep isn't hiding out anywhere. Lock the house. Only open the door if it's Kirishima." he told her before he ran out of the room.

Elvira nodded her head as she picked up her phone. "Please be careful."

Bakugo ran down the hallway, not taking the time to put on his shoes before leaving the front door. He ran around the corner of the house to where Elvira's bedroom window was. Nothing was there when he looked around. That's when he saw a glimpse of the person running down the street, all in black like Hawks said. Bakugo moved his hands behind himself to push himself forward with his quirk. He tried to condense his blasts because he was in a suburban area, trying to not cause any property damage along the way. It was a good thing that Elvira and him did things because he was able to sweat for his bombs. He braced himself as he neared the person but he over shot himself. He growled underneath his breath as he flipped himself over and blasted himself upward. The stranger stopped in their tracks to take a left turn down the street toward more empty part of the area. Bakugo was on their tail, the adrenaline pumping through his veins.

His lungs burned as he continued to chase them down but he pushed through it. There was no way Bakugo was going to let some creep get away. In the corner of his eye the figure stopped, all Bakugo could see was the person's mouth.

They were smirking.

You.

Are.

Fucking.

Dead.

"You fucking bastard!" Bakugo roared as he swung his arm toward them.

The stranger moved so fast that Bakugo hesitated with his strike. A knee slammed into his stomach while they grabbed his head. Before Bakugo could catch his breath he was thrown to the side. He rolled a few times until he hit a nearby tree and let out a groan as he held onto his sides. Whoever the person was, they weren't weak and Bakugo needed to tread lightly. This person obviously knows hand to hand combat skills. That's when a laughter erupted from the person as he looked down at Bakugo. From the sound alone it was a man. The person's foot slammed against Bakugo's rib cage and his spine hit the tree again. He was stuck there between the tree and the person in front of him. The person slammed the bottom of their shoe against the side of Bakugo's face and applied pressure.

Fuck!

Bakugo let out a yell as the person's foot was applying more pressure. His eyes scanned around the area but there was nothing that could assist him without hurting himself or the creep. He clenched his jaw, making the split decision to use the sweat in the palm of his hand to start charging up his energy. Bakugo quickly grabbed onto the person's ankle. The stranger noticed what he was doing and jumped back.

Now!

He watched the person move back into a fighting stance and Bakugo struggled to pull himself back up. The impact of the kick may have bruised his ribs as he grabbed at his side. With a deep inhale, Bakugo leaned his back up against the tree and that's when he heard a familiar roar. He looked up to see Kirishima running toward them. He watched Kirishima throwing punches at the stranger with his hardened quirked arms. The person dodged every move Kirishima made and landed a few hits on his hardened skin.

"Get your ass up, Bakugo!" Kirishima snarled.

"How the fuck did you get here so fast?!" Bakugo coughed.

"I was driving back from the gym!" Kirishima yelled as he kept throwing punches. "I have backup coming!"

"Is Elvira safe?" Bakugo breathed as she struggled to sit up.

"I told her to stay locked up in her room until we made it back!"

Once Bakugo managed to get up to his feet, he had to push aside the pain he felt in his ribs in order to help Kirishima. He jumped in the air as he set off his quirk to push himself forward to dive down on the stranger. They moved fast as they pushed Kirishima in the way of the blast. Thankfully with Kirishima's quirk he shrugged it off as Bakugo grabbed onto his shoulders and flipped himself over his body. Bakugo's foot connected with the stranger's head and they stumbled back.

"Now Kirishima!" Bakugo screamed.

"Right!"

Kirshima shrugged off his shoulders before charging forward again, he brought his arm back and launched a fist toward the person. The person dodged Kirishima's attacks until there was an opening, their fist landing on Kirishima's jaw but he hardened upon impact.

"Try AGAIN!" Kirishima yelled.

Kirishima grabbed onto the person's shoulders to headbutt them but they landed a knee attack against Kirishima's stomach. Bakugo dodged Kirishima's tumbling body and he swung his arm at the stranger only for his arm to get caught. The stranger cocked back his arm to land a punch on Bakugo's left eye causing him fly backwards. He to crashed into Kirishima who was trying to get up to his feet and all Bakugo could see for a moment was stars. Kirisima held Bakugo up to his feet before he could lose his footing. He could feel his left eye starting to swell, causing his vision to be temporarily impaired.

This isn't good.

"Are you alright?" Kirishima asked in a harsh whisper.

"Pay attention to the fight, dumbass!"

He groaned as he looked up to see the stranger being covered in black smoke. Bakugo's gut turned as he recognized it. When he was younger that was the same smoke vortex that the League of Villains used to escape when they captured him. The person gave a cocky waved goodbye before disappearing in the smoke and it vanished. They both stood there for a moment, not saying a word until Bakugo let out a loud yell.

"FUCK!" Bakugo slammed his hand down on the floor.

The League of Villains have been quiet for years.

Why the hell were they showing up now?

And what do they want with Elvira?

{ * * * }

After a long long walk, Bakugo and Kirishima ended up back at Elriva's house. Kirishima offered to stay behind just in case so he waited in the living room. Bakugo agreed before stepping into the hallway. He walked down to Elvira's bedroom door, the sound of her sobbing made him frown. He never wanted to hear her cry like that, it broke his heart. He gently knocked his knuckles against the door frame to get her attention and he could see her in the corner of the room holding onto the bear he gave her years ago. A pair of black bat-like wings cocooned over her body as she sobbed harder, he had never seen that part of her quirk before. Her entire body was trembling as she was holding onto the bear for dear life. He gently touched her shoulder and her head flew up, her eyes in pure terror. Her makeup smeared underneath her eyes from crying. The terror in her eyes subsided as she quickly wrapped her arms around him. The wings slowly started to disappear from view until they were completely gone as he held her.

Does this happen when she's under distress?

Her body was trembling against his, he could tell she was having a panic attack. His hands gently rubbed her back as she sobbed against the nape of his neck.

"Honey." he hummed against her ear. "I'm here now."

"Katsuki..." she sobbed.

She held onto him tighter and Bakugo groaned in response at his bruised ribs. She quickly tried to pull away but he quickly pulled her back in. His pain was nothing compared to her having an attack.

"No, you stay in my fucking arms." he growled.

"Are you hurt...?" she gasped.

"Elvira." he sighed, trying to get her to calm down.

Her eyes widened. "Oh my god, your eye is swollen."

"I don't give a shit about that right now."

She breathed. "It's looks bad.."

Bakugo clenched his aching jaw.

"B-babe, let me look at your side at least..." she tried to lift his shirt but he slapped her hand away.

"Honey, it's just a few bruises. I'll live, okay?" he frowned as he took her hands in his but she was still panicking.

"Come here, dammit." he leaned in to kiss her lips softly and slowly she kissed him back. His sore hands cupped her face before gently pulling away from her lips.

"Thanks, I needed that." she softly laughed through her sniffling.

"Once you calm down. I need you to shower and I will help you gather up some stuff to take back to my apartment. You will be staying with me for a bit until we get this all situated."

She only nodded her head against the nape of his neck.

After Elvira finally calmed down, Bakugo ended up taking her over to the shower to start the water. He started to slip off his dirty clothes and realized he was still in the lingerie she made him wear. He looked at the reflection of him in the mirror, all bruised and in that ridiculous outfit. Elvira gently started to unhook the garter belt from his body and took off what was remaining of the broken pieces of fabric. They couldn't hold up during the fight. She threw it to the ground before gently tracing her hand over his fresh bruise along his side to his ribcage.

"Whoever it was got you good." she whispered.

"Nothing I can't handle. I've been through worse, remember?" he hummed as his hand over the old scars on his chest.

Elvira frowned as she pressed her forehead against his chest. "True..."

"Come on. Let's get in this shower. The faster we get clean the faster we can get the hell out of here." Bakugo gently kissed the top of her head before turning to the shower.

They didn't much in the shower, occasionally they would wash each other's body but it was silent. Every now and then Bakugo would give her soft kisses on her face or her back. He helped her wash the smudged makeup on her face before giving her a smile. He just wanted her to feel loved more than anything. Once he finished washing his body he stepped out of the shower. Elvira didn't want to leave the water yet so he let her be. He reassured her that he would be in the bedroom getting things ready to leave. He wrapped a towel around his waist and used another to dry his blonde locks. He quickly got himself dressed in sweats and a black tank top with a pair of jeans, quickly slipped on some deodorant with some cologne before walking over to Elvira's closet. He looked around for the biggest bag she had.

Once he found one big enough he threw it on the bed and opened it up. He walked over to her dresser to open up the top drawer to grab her panties and bras. Throwing them in the back before he moved to another dresser to grab some other things she needed. He walked over to her closet again to take some dresses, jackets and blouses off the hangers to shove them into the bag. He'll hang them up once he gets her back to his apartment but for right now this is all he could do. He left out a pair of yoga pants with a shirt and hoodie on the bed for Elvira. Throwing on a matching pair of panties and bra along with it. He grabbed a second bag that was smaller to gather up her makeup from her vanity along with perfumes and things he thought she might need. The shower water stopped as he was making sure he grabbed things here and there.

"Katsuki..."

He turned to see Elvira looking at him from the doorway of the bathroom, her eyes were red from crying so much and she tried to smile at him. He stopped what he was doing to walk over to her and cupped her face in his hands.

"I laid out some clothes for you, honey. Get dressed and we'll head out as soon as you are done." he kissed her forehead and looked down at her.

All she did was nod her head in response and walked over to the bed. He watched her slip on the bra and panties he picked out for her. He gave her a quick kiss on the shoulder before she grabbed the shirt off the bed. Before everything went to shit, he really enjoyed his time with her. Too bad things happened the way they did. He wanted to tell her how good she made him feel but right now it's not appropriate.

"Who was the person at the window?" her voice was almost quiet.

Bakugo rubbed the nape of his neck. "I didn't get a good look at their face."

"Oh..."

Bakugo sat down on the bed in front of her as she continued to put her clothes on. She looked back at him after slipping on the pink hoodie. She pushed her damp hair over her shoulder with a frown. Bakugo grabbed her hand as she stood in front of him. Her eyes were still down on the ground as his thumb caressed her skin. He gave her a soft kiss on top of her hand before looking back up at her.

"Look at me."

Elvira looked up with her puffy red eyes.

"I...I'm sorry for what I said earlier. Y-you know I wouldn't go to the event with Hawks." she clenched her jaw.

"Baby girl, that doesn't matter right now." he whispered as he shook his head.

"I'm serious. I would never do that to you." she frowned and looked away. "I didn't mean it at all. I just was upset that you didn't want to go with me."

He didn't think of that.

He was only thinking about himself.

"Elvira."

She shot her head in his direction.

Bakugo turned around to look at her. "Is this the first time you've seen that person around your house?"

"I've never seen them before. I didn't get a good look at them, Katsuki." her hand started trembling against his.

"Don't take this the wrong way please but did you have any other sub partners besides the three you have already mentioned." Bakugo frowned as he looked back at her. "You mentioned a 4th but never told me about them."

Her body stiffens. "The 4th? I don't remember much about them. I have honestly blocked them from my mind so much that I don't remember their face."

"Please try to remember."

"All I can remember it was a rebound and it was after the incident with Tamaki. I'm not proud of it." she looked down again.

Why does she look so terrified?

"Why?" she asked as she wiped her eyes.

"Well, Hawks told me something today that's making me feel a bit uneasy."

"Feathers? What happened?" she raised an eyebrow.

"He said that for a while someone had been lurking around your house. He didn't see who it was but all he could see was them dressed all in black." he frowns and sighs. "Hawks said it was going on for a couple of months."

Elvira froze. "What?"

"Hawks said that he chased them away a few times but they haven't come around in a long time. He said that ever since I've been coming around that he hasn't patrolled the area as much." Bakugo shrugged with a sigh. "So he assumed that it was all over."

She frowned. "Why wasn't I informed of this...?"

"That's what he told me and he happened to be right." Bakugo frowned to himself, hating to admit that.

Elvira started to tremble.

Bakugo looked at her. "You know I'll do anything and everything in my power to protect you, right?"

"Of course I know that." she whispered as he caressed her cheek.

He frowned again. "I know I'm invading your privacy but I need to know who they were. I don't want you to get hurt."

There was a knock on the bedroom door and Bakugo looked over at it. The only other person he knew that was in the house was Kirishima who stayed behind.

"Kiri?" Bakugo called out.

The door opened and he was covering his eyes, "Is everyone decent?"

"Yes, we're fine. What is it?" Bakugo frowned, annoyed that their conversation was interrupted.

"I came as soon as Kirishima texted me. I'm sorry that I'm late."

That voice was familiar.

Bakugo squinted as Deku walked out from behind Kirishima. He was rubbing the nape of his neck with a smile. He walked over toward Elvira and Bakugo. He gently took her hand in his but Elvira yanked away from Deku. They both looked at each other for a moment before Deku tried to open his mouth to say something. Elvira's jaw clenched before she walked over to the bathroom and slammed the door shut. All of the guys stared at the door for a moment before Kirishima cleared his throat.

Bakugo smirked to himself with a soft chuckle, that's my girl.

"Deku was my backup but the guy got away before he could get here. He said he was dealing with something in town and that caused a delay." Kirishima frowned with a sigh.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I did try to hall ass to get here. How is she doing?" Deku pointed at the bathroom door.

"Elvira has been out of it. She doesn't want to be alone, which I don't blame her at all. That shit would startle anyone." Bakugo groaned as he looked back at Deku. "All I know is that I've been getting messages from random fucking numbers and now that person showed up. I think it's all linked."

"Bakugo said that the messages have been coming in for about 6 to 7 months now. They stopped for a while but started up again not long after Elvira and him made it official." Kirishima nodded his head. "This person knows everything about Elvira's personal life from what Bakugo told me."

"Oh gosh. That's intense." Deku placed a hand on his chin with a hum. "Do you think it's anyone close to her?"

"Well, that's kind of complicated question to answer." Bakugo sighed heavily.

"Did you get a good look at them?" Deku asked.

Kirishima rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh. "When we fought the guy I couldn't get a good look."

"What were you guys doing when you saw the person?" Deku asked as he looked at Bakugo.

Bakugo cleared his throat as his face flustered a bit. "Well... Elvira and I were in the middle of something."

Both of them started at Bakugo before Kirishima caught on.

"Ohhh, I get it. Don't have to say anything else. You said you think they were taking pictures?" Kirishima blushed a bit before chuckling.

"There were a few flashes as I noticed so yeah I think so. I don't know how long they were standing there." Bakugo growled underneath his breath.

"It could have been just a pervert."

Bakugo shook his head. "I don't think so. Something Hawks told me proved my suspicions. He told me that someone tried to break into Elvira's house before without her knowledge. He said that after a while the person stopped coming around. Never got a good look at the person but all they wore was black."

"It's not safe for Elvira to be at her house alone. You know that right?" Kirishima frowned as he crossed his arms.

"I know. She's coming back to my place for a while." he nodded his head.

"We don't know who she's close to so it's hard to narrow down suspects." Kirishima nodded his head.

"The only people I know that were close to her were only a few people. Anyone else I don't know. She doesn't let a lot of people in." Bakugo frowned as he slipped on a pair of socks.

"Oh, I know." Deku chuckles softly. "She's very quiet about her personal life. She's been like that since high school."

"Which is funny because out of all of us you were really close friends in high school." Kirishima looked at Deku.

"Yeah, we were. Ever since we all graduated I guess we just drifted apart." Deku frowned with a sigh. "Not gonna lie. I feel like I have lost touch with a lot of people since I started my training. Sorry about that."

"That doesn't matter right now. All that matters is Elvira's safety." Bakugo stood up from the bed and shoved his hands into his pockets. "All we know is the person was dressed all in black, they knew hand to hand combat and they escaped in a black smoke like the league of villains use."

"League of Villains? They have been quiet for a long time. Why show up now?" Deku clenched his jaw.

"Ever since the war ended and the fall of Shigaraki, I thought that was then end of the League." Kirishima shook his head with a sigh.

"I don't fucking know. All we know now it's someone from the League that is after Elvira." Bakugo clenched his jaw. "Maybe someone rose to power in the League."

"Maybe." Deku tapped his chin.

Bakugo shook his head and walked over to the bathroom, gently knocking on the door. "Honey? Can I come in?"

"Only you." her voice was soft.

"Guys, can I have a moment? I need to get her out of here and out this house." Bakugo turned back to Kirishima and Deku.

"S-sure thing!" Deku smiled before turning toward the hallway.

"I'll put these in your car." Kirishima dangled Bakugo's keys.

Kirishima quickly grabbed the bags off the bed and only nodded to Bakugo. With a soft sigh, Bakugo gently twisted the door handle and stepped inside the bathroom. Elvira was sitting on the side of the toilet on the floor. Her head was buried in her knees as he approached her and he gently placed his hand on her head.

"Hey there." he whispered as he knelt down to her. "You ready to get out of here?"

"Definitely."

Let's get the fuck out of here.
