When Mrs Hughes takes ill, Mr Carson doesn't know what could be the matter with him. He can't concentrate at work, his thoughts drift off all the time and he even delegates supper to Thomas Barrow. But it is only his duty that leads him to worry so much about her, of course. A Butler must be concerned about his staff's well-being...surely, it can't be more than that, could it?
