Modern AU. Elsie entrusts Robert Crawley's estate agents to sell her house in London and Robert assigns Charles Carson to the business. Elsie and Charles are very attracted to each other and they soon act upon their feelings and desires. But is theirs only lust or something more is being born?

November 1921- An AU series 4. Sequel to Moving Forward- With the house in mourning, Charles and Elsie consider life together and retirement. How will the rest of Downton be affected? Lots of Cora and Robert and Mary as well. Might go T rating later, but will start out mild.

This is an AU story set during Series 4 and is largely a Chelsie story, following the relationship between Charles and Elsie. However Robert, particularly, plays a significant role in the story as an unlikely friendship develops, and to a lesser extent Cora. As both relationships face difficulties, a friendship offers much comfort.

Set during 1.3 - John has revealed his limp corrector to Mrs. Hughes and she enlists Anna's help in getting him cleaned up

'Sybil watched with caution as the footman brought round the food. Every time the footman offered the food and more weight was put upon the table, she winced. She knew that it was unsound, almost broken and she knew she who it was to blame.'

Post-Series 3: Lady Mary grieves for Mr. Matthew; Mr. Carson grieves for Lady Mary; and Mrs. Hughes grieves for Mr. Carson. Mrs. Hughes comforts Mr. Carson, and the two finally express their feelings. Cover image by brenna-louise!
