Welcome dear readers~
Fantina p.o.v.
Waking up and realizing I had to teach all those brats flirting presented a tough challenge. But if I managed to sustain my posture and show them the ropes properly, maybe in the future I could use them for getting additional information. After all, there were different dudes with different tastes and my tall built sometimes scared away guys that had frail masculinity. Now when I thought about it I wasn't the only person that didn't dare to show my true self in school, Laura was blunt and loud but shy in the school setting. Justice tried to maintain a nice girl image, but she was another loud tomboy in our ranks, with her it was a total of three tomboys. How come Justice didn't ask for flirting lessons. I started to prepare for school wondering how come none of these girls were capable of romancing people.
Erin already proved me once she was awful at it, Laura was probably too shy, was Catalina self-conscious? But what the hell did Undine want, was she there just to mess with the other three? I took a shower, put make-up on and realized I had no time to spare for breakfast. Shrugging my shoulders decided to skip it today and so I headed to school.
"Oh you are early," I said seeing all my so-called friends at the meet-up location.
"You were right Catalina she looks kinda skinny." I tilted my head in confusion and soon Undine handed me an obento box.
"We prepared some food for you." not only was there sushi available but also miso-soup on the side. I guess these brats weren't that bad.
"Thanks." I never thought this day would come where I would feel thankful for their thoughtfulness. I tried one, it wasn't bad for amateur sushi chefs.
"So let me explain briefly a few important steps in flirting." the girls nodded their heads in anticipation.
"We're on board," Catalina said with her cheery voice, her excitement probably pumping other girls beside Erin.
"Let's get to the point. The first important step is to maintain eye contact, the person on the receiving end will understand you are interested in them. Second step is body language. Try to touch the other person when you find a chance, with subtle motions, maybe brush your hand against his. Another way could be saying they have something on their shirt and getting it for them. Lastly, try playing with your hair a bit, yeah I think it's enough for all your newbies." They were speechless for a couple of minutes.
"Ok, what is it?" I asked wondering what was going through their minds.
"Well, we thought it be more complicated. I never apprehended this could be so easy." Laura said while the other three nodded to her answer.
"Why don't you guys try your luck, thankfully there are already some guys present at school. We can train until the classes begin." they all nodded their heads determined to see this thru.
"Let's see..." I scanned the corridor and pointed at a male, with blond hair and red eyes. "Laura you start with him." She looked at me terrified, but she nodded not putting much of a fight. She started to take steps toward him but chickened out, there was no other way than pushing her towards him. She couldn't recover her balance in time and knocked with the poor guy.
"Franciszek, I'm so sorry." she said, how come she knew his name. He let out just a grunt of acknowledgment to the poor trembling girl before him, he was ready to leave but Laura caught him by his sleeve.
"I actually wanted to talk with you, if you don't mind." her looking like an innocent heroine that was keeping her eyes on the ground, just made it more look like a scene from a damn manga. It looked like Laura convinced him somehow for small talk, but she changed to another language Polish one I didn't understand. Since I couldn't recognize her progress I found another victim of our little game. I send Undine next onto a brown-haired guy that happened to pass us by.
"Cat you see the guy with glasses and blonde hair." she nodded, so I just added.
"Good luck." she was also hesitant about making a move, but with her bubbly personality, she overcame it pretty quickly. Last was Erin, I pointed onto a black-haired guy she just nodded and ran over. Because Laura was going on strongly I glanced at Undine, I had no clue what this girl even said to him, because he freaked out and ran away, snatching his friend with glasses away from Catalina, who was making some kind of progress. Erin was just taking it as a casual stroll, hence we could hear them converse about sport. No flirting there because this fool was too emerged into the topic to even remember my advice. I spotted Laura finishing and coming over.
"That was nerve wreaking," she said while wiping her forehead.
"How come you knew his name?" Laura just smiled being proud of her achievement it seemed.
"Since we have nearly the same background I took it upon myself to remember his name." of course otherwise she was awful at remembering names.
"Undine what did you even say for him to run away in fear." she shrugged her shoulders.
"I guess he's just a wimp." even if they thought the instructions were easy, this suddenly became more complicated. We continued our hunt for more men, but when only five minutes from class arrived I already gave up.
"Seriously what is wrong with you guys?" I asked being ready to scream out from frustration, but I refrained myself because Avalyn appeared, my only joy in this life.
"What happened?" she asked while I hugged her to recharge myself.
"They are so bad at this, I can't even." I decided to expose all of their faults.
"Undine makes everyone run in panic as soon she approaches." she didn't seem to care.
"Men with frail masculinity don't deserve my attention." fair point, but still it was only practice, it's not like I threatened her to suddenly get together with them.
"Laura over her have been glaring at everyone, also scaring them away." she looked like she didn't have a clue what to do with herself.
"Catalina keeps falling all the time, sure the guys find her cute that way, but come on." seriously I was fed up with seeing the same scenario over and over again.
"Erin is only talking about sport and food, she is so engaged in her topic, she forgets about the flirting part." She still didn't seem to care much.
"You look overworked, how about ending it at that, I can come along the next session." I clapped my hands together.
"You are dismissed." I felt like a real teacher just now, but then I sensed a pair of hands being placed on my hips. I spun around to see who dared to touch me and saw no one else but Vincent.
"What do you want?" I asked harshly irritated by the class I had to give these brats. I noticed how both Laura and Catalina took a few steps away, I understood why. It was only morning, yet he was reeking of cigarette smell. Avalyn and Undine just glared at him.
"Are you two jealous?" he asked them, causing the tension to become even worse. I slipped away from his grip elegantly.
"Answer my question, our class will begin soon." I was indeed impatient.
"I wanted to know if someone as beautiful as you would like to go on a date with me." So Aspen's speculations must have been true.
"Ok, but not today, I'm busy... maybe tomorrow." I accepted only because I wanted more information on what was going on, also maybe I would encounter something amusing.
"How about 6 pm?" he asked me, I gave him a quick nod, as long it wasn't Thursday it would work, exhaustion from the marathon would probably make me unable to attend.
"Make a good impression, my father will be at home tomorrow, I will give you my phone number at lunchtime." I left with my friends quickly after the quick conversation.
"Why did you agree?" Undine asked, being shocked I would accept such half-assed invitation to a date.
"I decided to follow Aspen's plan." That wasn't the only reason, but good enough for a response.
"Ok, but if something bad happens let us know on the group chat, we will even arrive in pairs to assist you," Avalyn assured me as the other girls nodded their heads.
Vincent p.o.v.
I was standing in front of Fantina's house, because of her warning I did put some efforts, putting on a white shirt, a loose tie and a pair of some black fabric pants. I pressed the bell and in a matter of seconds a middle-aged man opened the front door, it must have been her father.
"Who are you?" he asked a stern gaze fixated on my figure.
"I'm Vincent I came for your daughter." well this was awkward., thankfully usually I didn't have to deal with this shit.
"Honey, someone's here for you!" He screamed thru out the house, it truly felt as if I was part of these American high school romcoms.
"I'm coming!" I heard someone pacing around the house, maybe she forgot her phone.
"Let me just get one thing straight, if you try anything funny with my princess I make sure you will repay for what you did." That was some serious threat. Was this one of the obstacles I had to deal with to get together with her.
"Come on dad, don't scare him away." Fantina was now consoling him by dragging him inside the house by tugging his arm, but he didn't hesitate to give me the last glare.
"I'm off!" she yelled and closed the door behind her, but her father returned.
"Also don't smoke that shit near my daughter. If I sniff it out on her clothes you're done for." he proceeded to slam the door shut. So no smocking for the rest of the evening, just my luck.
"So where are we going?" she asked extending her hand, I wasn't really into those romantic gestures even so I decided to accept her hand.
"Just follow me and you will see." This was becoming too annoying.
Fantina p.o.v.
We stopped outside some dirty club, where music was playing and killing my ears, who knows maybe even my brain cells. I understood he was not a romantic person, but I wouldn't trouble myself in this stupid atmosphere, besides were we even allowed to be here? After all, we were only high school students in the second year, I wasn't past 18 yet. He tried to guide me to the back of the settlement, but I had none of it.
"Are you serious?" I asked him.
"No, I'm Vincent." At least his response made me realize he was capable of telling jokes. But I decided to refuse, being dragged inside especially through a back door. Suddenly my head puzzled everything together since he was fifthly rich he could have owned this club, this wasn't an area I would trust myself walking into, especially when this was a great opportunity for my enemies to find some blackmail material. I released Vincent's hand and with a stern voice let him know.
"I won't step my foot into this club. Either you come up with another location or this date is officially over." Like I would let myself pick a stupid decision that could ruin my image and lead me to trouble. I didn't have the muscles to fight my way out if Vincent tried to lock me there, of course, I had no trust in this dude. Soon I heard a ping from his phone, he groaned and opened it. When he was focused on its context I looked around. Was it me or did I spot Flavio and Allen? Did they follow us? I secretly snapped a photo, their usual outfits couldn't beat whatever they were wearing right now.
"Let's go." Vincent dragged me by my wrists, sorry but this wasn't any bad boy turning soft Korean drama so I made him release it and grabbed his hand instead. We stopped at a fancy restaurant, which looked expensive as hell. Could I trust that Vincent planned this, or Flavio ordered him to drag me over here since he knew girls best? After Vincent announced his name, the reservation was approved, when we were let inside I could see all those posh people.
"Did you plan all this?" I asked wondering if this was, in fact, Flavio's idea.
"I thought that maybe a club would be more of your style, but I also booked this place as a reserve plan." I could see his eyes twitching, he was probably lying through his teeth.
"Thanks for the incredible effort." of course it was sarcasm.
"Whatever." Was his only answer.
Time skip brought by Mint Flying Bunny~
That was one of the worst dates I had to live thru, I couldn't attain any useful information whatsoever, his two emotions shown in his eyes was either boredom or lust, which creeped me out. He rarely talked about himself and just listened to me instead, meaning things in the long run just kept getting awkward. A lot of awful flirt attempts were used, I didn't appreciate it. I may have been a popular girl in school with all the right curves, but for him to just see me as a tool was outrageous. I had enough I messaged our group for help and so Undine phoned me.
"Listen we have an emergency! We need to see you asap." Even if she didn't say any reason why I would need to see her. It was loud and clear enough for Vincent to hear.
"Looks like something terrible occurred, I think we need to cut this date short." I put on a sweet smile but got in return a sour attempt of one instead. Even so, he paid for our dinner, maybe it was all Flavio's demands, but I never expected Undine to come to pick me in her car.
So Vincent's date did not go as planned, but what is going to happen in the next chapter when the whole school is going to have a running marathon?
